Gasthof Polizeisportverein Hanau in Hanau

I highly recommend the Gasthof Polizeisportverein (Police Sports Club Inn). The food is really very good and beautifully presented, especially the salad that accompanies the meal is always freshly made; you can see and taste it. I highly recommend the inn; we've never been disappointed. Keep it up!

We can't understand the negative review at all. We've been coming here for years and have always been greeted and served very warmly, even when it's busy. The food is always delicious.

... oops, what went wrong? We've been coming to this restaurant for a long time and are always very satisfied with the service and food. Perhaps the restaurants were mixed up in the previous review. We're looking forward to the good, home-cooked food (the meatloaf is great) and the delicious espresso.

Our first and last visit! Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant as a large group was a huge disappointment. The service was extremely unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome from the start. No greeting, no smile. Instead we were treated with an annoyed attitude. Menus were only given out upon request and we had to distribute them ourselves. Overall, the service was rather lackluster. We were accused of having conversations that were too loud. Instead of trying to have a polite conversation, we were rudely reprimanded. Of course we understand that consideration is important but the tone makes the music here. Unfortunately, the way we were treated was completely inappropriate. The highlight, however, was when we were indirectly asked to leave. We didn't let anyone tell us that a second time and left the restaurant before the food we ordered was served. We have never experienced such disrespectful treatment in any other restaurant. If you value hospitality and a pleasant atmosphere and are in a relaxed, larger group, you should avoid this shop. The one star that has to be given here at least is actually too much of a good thing. We definitely won't be coming back and can't recommend this store.

We were in this restaurant for the first and last time. Our meal was a disaster, the schnitzels were swimming in fat, the breading was pale and didn't show a single shade of brown. A bratwurst the children ordered was dry, lying on a small pile of sauerkraut with a slice of bread, really not edible. The dessert was from the range of a mass frozen product manufacturer.... The waitress was positive, she was very attentive.

Update October 25th, 2024 everything is still correct here 👍 Police sports club Good middle-class, down-to-earth restaurant. And that is definitely meant as a compliment! Here everyone greets everyone. Definitely homemade cordon bleu and that Fresh side salad. There's nothing to complain about! Tasted good 😊 The best seller here seems to be the Kaiserschmarren. Was constantly being ordered all around me. Looked delicious and was praised by guests. Unfortunately I was already too full to try it myself. Service is experienced, with people knowledge. And friendly. Even though I was traveling without my wife, i.e. alone, I was allowed to sit at a table for four. Quite remarkable, was NOT banished to a “toilet”. (As has happened to me so many times) Thank you very much for that 😊

Probably one of the last good middle-class restaurants in Hanau. Attentive and friendly service served us really delicious food. The salad was excellent, the hand cheese was very tasty, as it should be, the cordon bleu was tender and juicy and the children's schnitzel was also completely eaten 😄 since we live nearby, we were certainly not here for the last time, also because we couldn't test the beer garden 😛

The restaurant is located on the thoroughfare between Hanau and Maintal. There are sufficient parking spaces on site. As expected, the guest room is furnished like a typical club restaurant, with nice, large tables so that every guest has enough space. The staff is very nice and attentive, you immediately feel warmly welcome and you don't have to wait long for your drinks. We all enjoyed the food very much, the salads were fresh and the dishes were appetizingly prepared. We had wild garlic cream soup, hand cheese, shrimp pan, various schnitzel dishes and the lumberjack steak. There was nothing to complain about, we didn't have to wait long for the food and everything was served hot and tasty. We had a lovely evening here and will definitely come back again.

We were at the restaurant for dinner with 6 people. Six different dishes - all dishes very tasty and nicely prepared. Also vegetarian dishes. Friendly and attentive service. Moderate prices. The restaurant is definitely recommended. Reservation recommended. Sufficient parking spaces available.

Garlic schnitzel is so delicious. Your salad dressing is amazing. Had a nice dinner with my brothers in a nice group.

Wir immer bestens versorgt worden. Essen super lecker und der Service gewohnt freundlich und auf Zack. Schön das es solche Wirtshäuser nach gut bürgerlicher Art noch gibt.

Für uns ein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant. Essen und Service sind perfekt und das Lokal ist blitzsauber. Die wechselnden Angebote sind immer frisch und sehr schmackhaft zubereitet. Jeder Besuch ist ein kleiner Urlaub vom Alltag.

Schöner, kleiner Biergarten. Große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Freundliches Personal. Das Essen gat sehr gut geschmeckt.

Hier werden die Speisen noch mit frischen Lebensmitteln hergestellt. Nichts aus der Konserve. Super lecker. Tolles Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Bitte vorher Tisch reservieren, da die Gaststätte immer gut besucht ist und man eventuell wieder gehen muss, weil alle Tische besetzt sind.

War das erste mal seit Jahren wieder dort. Ich muss sagen, dass das Essen richtig gut war. Die Getränke kamen auch recht zügig. Und das kostenlose Parken direkt vor der Tür runden das Paket ab. Wieder zu Empfehlen...

Es war sehr schön, das Essen war gut, aber 2 Stunden auf das Essen warten geht für mich leider gar nicht. Ansonsten ein sehr nettes Personal.

Essen super, Service freundlich, rustikal, Ambiente durch die Landstraße nebenan immer etwas lauter, aber hübsch gelöst.

Hier schmeckt dass *Essen* immer genial auch wenn der Chef zur Zeit nicht dabei ist....die 2 Damen sind SUPER weiter so freuen uns jetzt schon auf das nächste Mal liebe Grüße
