Zum Goldenen Hirsch in Darmstadt

Yesterday, December 28th, 2024, we called at 5:30 p.m. He was very unfriendly on the phone as there was nothing real about the food on the website. We asked about schnitzel and the price. We said OK and wanted to make a reservation but he had already hung up. We were there at 6 p.m. and opened the door and there were lots of people sitting there just drinking, no one had eaten anything. He asked me if we had a reservation and offered us a seat at the bar if we wanted a drink, but he didn't say anything about eating at the bar even though there was still room in the pub.

Not so appealing from the outside, but nice boss and very tasty food, e.g. the lamb.

A really tasty Greek dish, the best in Eberstadt. Unfortunately, I've found myself standing in front of the closed door too often, even though it was supposed to be open according to regular opening times. The operation of the beer garden in the club house is preferred. But if I want to eat here, I consciously choose the restaurant and not the beer garden, but unfortunately there is a note like this on the door. So far I've only managed to eat here once, and I've stood in front of this door four other times, especially in spring and summer. It's a shame, because I would like to be a frequent guest here!

Was recommended to me after I couldn't find any delicious gyros in Darmstadt, old charming pub with 60s and 70s charm, that's exactly what makes it special. I ordered gyros to take away and what can I say, fries super crispy, tzatziki awesome and gyros as it should be, tasty and a decent portion. Actually the best gyros in Darmstadt......keep it up I'll be back......oh yes and the Pilsner is also great on tap, the man does everything right
