Lezzet in Darmstadt

An excellent Turkish restaurant.

I can say it's the best place for halal and Turkish food in central Darmstadt. I especially recommend the kebabs and the kelle pacha soup. It's great to be able to see the kitchen. You can watch the chefs without being disturbed if you want. However, the waiters should be a bit more polite and monitor the tables better. Because the restaurant is so popular, there aren't always any vacancies. The waiters can sometimes be rude, as if they need them. Some react to this, while others leave the restaurant.

We went with our family. The food was delicious. I especially recommend the steak döner. The side dishes were excellent.

The food was average. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very loud and cramped, making conversation almost impossible. The many small children also create a hectic atmosphere. Overall, it's not a pleasant ambiance.

Very good food, especially the pide and all the dürüm (doughnuts), highly recommended. The service from Emin and co. was also super friendly and very fast. I'll be back ;)

I wouldn't visit the restaurant again. I found the service to be artificial and unfriendly! The price-performance ratio wasn't right for me. I'm used to something completely different.

The meat is always of excellent quality: tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. You can feel the skill and generosity in the kitchen. The service is also impeccable: fast, warm, and attentive. A special thank you to Emin, who always delights us with his friendliness, humor, and hospitality. Thanks to him, we feel at home here. A place we recommend without hesitation – both for discovering Turkish cuisine and for spending a wonderful evening!

The falafel bowl, vegan burger, and sweet potato fries were really good. The service was very friendly. The atmosphere was cool. The prices were fair. We'll be back.

We were in Darmstadt purely by chance, and my little son really needed to go to the bathroom. They were so kind and let him. He saw the plates and absolutely wanted to eat there. Great food, delicious as always, and very friendly and polite service. I highly recommend it.

The portions were really large and delicious. We ordered lahmacun and a grill plate. It was perfectly sufficient for two people. Unfortunately, I also have to mention that the service was simply not ideal. A larger group arrived and was served before us, and they also received their food before us. The wait for two people was long.

The kelle paça is delicious. I'd come back just for that. The kitchen is open, everything is visible. It's incredibly clean, and most importantly, it's delicious. The döner kebab is fantastic. There's absolutely nothing better around. Well done. 😃

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and for the first time in 10 years, I experienced Germany's finest shish kebab. The Adana kebab my friend had, like the shish kebab itself, revealed the quality of the meat. The skewers were like Turkish delight, and the Adana was made with only ground meat. I congratulate him. I also want to thank Emin Bey for the impeccable and professional service he provided us.

By far the best. I've been experiencing the flavors at this location for about two years. As someone who has been serving in the gastronomy field in Turkey for many years, I can confidently say that consistently offering the same quality of food is a significant achievement, and they do it brilliantly. The menus are always consistent, and you'll find their fresh salads and appetizers on your table every time you visit, without exception. You're an important place for me where I can enjoy a meal. The Adana and the chicken skewers were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection – juicy and full of flavor. The pide and doner kebab were also freshly prepared and delicious. This restaurant offer normal taste of cuisines with high prices and top of it, the staff specially the waiter is nonsense nor cooperative. I need to ask for the bread 🍞 and ketchup but not served then I personally go to counter multiple times to collect the items. Waiter took the order and delivered half order and then runaway. Here is the point to be noted that the restaurant was not crowded but service was extremely lower rated. I will not go again nor recommend to anyone. By the way I reread food of around 80 Euro but not able to get ketchup or Mayo despite request to them.

The doner meat was good, and the doner bread was very good. Unfortunately, the sauces were very weak; I think they only had two. The service has been very friendly every time.

The food was delicious, but the drinks were very expensive. The menu listed 0.33 ml Ayran for €2.90, but we only got small Ayran (3x). Water was also very expensive (3x). So for 6 drinks, we paid almost as much as a meal. Over €15 for drinks is a bit much.

Our first visit there was one of the best experiences we've ever had at a Turkish restaurant. The food was truly exceptional! Everything was served hot and plentiful. For starters, we had khubz, salad, and a few sauces, which were offered to us free of charge. Even that was really great 👍 The service was exceptionally friendly. They prepare the döner kebab perfectly, just like in Turkey. The lahmacun is also crispy. For those with children, the döner platter on the kids' menu is quite filling, so you can order it for the little ones with peace of mind.

I went to the restaurant with my family yesterday. The service was friendly and everything went smoothly; overall, it was a pleasant atmosphere. I have to deduct one star, though: My burger tasted good, but the patty was so small you could barely see it. For the price, I would have expected a much larger, or at least more visible, patty. Otherwise, everything was fine; I'd go back, but the burger still has room for improvement.

Highly recommended, especially if you're craving meat. The grill plate is highly recommended. An absolute highlight in Darmstadt. The service is also very friendly and quick. We had a kind of milk pudding for dessert, which was excellent.

Disappointing experience at Lezzet Restaurant in Darmstadt It is with great disappointment that I would like to describe an extremely unpleasant experience that my family and I recently had at the Turkish restaurant Lazzet in Darmstadt. As a Muslim family with a black background, we chose this restaurant because it offers halal food and we wanted to have a pleasant family evening there. After ordering and waiting for our food, we watched in amazement and horror as a waiter brought the remains of a loaf of bread - partially eaten, touched and apparently left behind by other guests at a neighboring table - to us. This behavior was not only unhygienic, but also deeply disrespectful. Unfortunately, it cannot be denied that this approach was strongly influenced by racist and discriminatory motives - apparently we were treated as second-class citizens because of our skin color. We didn't feel like paying guests, but like supplicants. The behavior of the staff was degrading and in no way consistent with the standards of a restaurant that presents itself as hospitable and halal-certified. Hoping for clarification and an apology, I sent a complaint to the restaurant several days ago. Unfortunately, this has remained unanswered to this day - another sign of a lack of respect and responsibility. I would therefore like to expressly point out to all guests - especially people with a migration background or foreign appearance - to be particularly attentive when visiting this restaurant: Make sure that dishes and cutlery are clean and that no leftovers from other guests are served. And most importantly, don't allow yourself to be treated disrespectfully.

Delicious food but service was strange. Bread would be brought to us that had previously been on the other guest's table and would apparently not be completely eaten and would be passed on to us... The reviews from other users also confirm this, which is probably a normal process here
