We strive and appreciate every single customer in our home – so here's a brief update from me: As the former mother-in-law of a family member, I've reported this review to Google. Until this post is deleted, here's a little something for everyone reading this: You haven't been with us for at least 15 years. I'm happy to inform you that in Germany, slander, defamation, or similar offenses can be prosecuted. This can even lead to a civil claim for damages. =) We don't know exactly how you came up with this idea or why – it doesn't matter. We gladly accept honest criticism to ensure our guests have a pleasant time. Perhaps some of you will chuckle at this point. But it's no laughing matter when actions like these harm others, whether privately or professionally! Without resentment or great excitement on my part. I always put a smile on my wife's face when I suggest eating at your place. The fine, yet carefully selected selection of local and seasonal dishes is always a delight. We enjoy coming here and appreciate the taste and comfort of a local restaurant. Keep it up!

Classic Strauss restaurant. Some reviews say it's romantic and cozy. I don't understand that, but it's all a matter of taste. Like the Handkäse, which is very tasty but unfortunately not marinated. This is added and is very vinegary. Not Handkäse mit Musik for me. But it's all a matter of taste. The green sauce is great, but slightly sweet. Also a matter of taste. The price-performance ratio isn't right for me. But everyone can find out about the prices themselves. A bit of friendliness in the service wouldn't hurt. Our group consistently got the impression of being unwelcome, which definitely spoiled the overall impression. I don't think we'll be back.

A lovely and honest cider pub in the village. A great team from different generations of the family – Niklas and his brother do a fantastic job. The cider was delicious, and the hand-pounded schnitzel and homemade Grie sauce with local ingredients for just under €19 are more than reasonable. I'm looking forward to the next school reunion at this Wetterau gem – greetings!

Funny idea for a wine tavern, but a bit expensive

A family-run ostrich restaurant that warmly welcomes guests, makes very good food and is a real destination!

Super tasty, regional products and a great location, very nice to sit outside, super nice staff, very familiar.

Had a wonderful time here on Easter Sunday. The schnitzel was great. Really great location. Thanks for the great time.

Very nice ostrich restaurant, totally cozy and an exceptionally large selection of drinks. The food is sourced regionally and prepared extremely deliciously. We recommend the schnitzel with green sauce and the hand cheese with music.

The ice cream for 5 euros from a box is too expensive, but it was very tasty. If it had been beautifully served on a bowl or something similar, the price might have been justified. We didn't try the other dishes, but they all looked very tasty.

Excessively overpriced ostrich restaurant in the backyard with no service. Only a small selection of not elaborate food, but high prices!

Nice place to meet up with friends. Personally, I really like the tarte flambée, but also the hand cheese. Served on a pretty plate with plenty of onions. Also the bread with it - really good. That's how it has to be in an ostrich economy. We like coming there. Kind regards, DiAna :-)

Invited to the Geripptes by chance, drank very good Äppler, but the taste of the hand cheese left a lot to be desired given the seasoning with vinegar and oil. The whole picture of the hand cheese with bread was and looked completely loveless and that's how it tasted too! Upon request, additional caraway seeds were placed in an (Aldi) shaker next to the hand cheese maker. Price: At 8.80 euros for the hand cheese, the price-performance ratio does not match the one on offer village cider bar from which you can actually expect more! Drink prices are currently tolerable, but when it comes to the prices on the menu (also schnitzel and tarte flambée) you lose the feeling of wanting to come back! A pity

We celebrated my wife's 60th birthday here. There were over 30 of us and we had the back part of the restaurant completely to ourselves. There were a few tables with service at the front for the "walking guests", which was perfectly fine for us! Now to our celebration... Jonas made a very good and professional impression on us during the preliminary conversation, which was confirmed yesterday evening! Everyone, really all of the guests were more than satisfied with the food, the location, the service and from one direction or another the guests also announced that they would be hosting a celebration here. The entire team, including the mother of the house and not forgetting Niklas, as well as Meike, did a great job, so that we will have positive memories of this evening with family, friends and acquaintances for a long time! Jonas impressed us with his cooking skills and created a culinary delight, while Meike created something very special with her decoration. Special thanks to you two! Yes, some things cost a little more than perhaps elsewhere, BUT here you get regional food with great quality! This was worth every penny! We were guests here quite often… mostly in the summer for little things. Today we went to Zum Gerippte for Christmas dinner. Nice atmosphere, delicious food and very generous portions and last but not least the very friendly team.

Die beste Straußenwirtschaft weit und breit. Stöffche, Handkäs' mit Musik, Mispelchen und vieles mehr!

Eigentlich sehr nett hier, wären da nicht die überzogenen Preise. Ein 2 Liter Bembel Apfelwein f 17 Euro ist doch schon bisschen viel. Nichts desto trotz ein schöner Ort.

Das Essen und die Getränke muss man sich an einem kioskähnlichen Gebilde holen. Bei vielen Gästen würde es sich auszahlen, etwas flotter zu bedienen, ausserdem erscheint es als wäre man nicht sonderlich willkommen. Mehr als spartanisch Auswahl an Speisen. Wir kamen mit 6 Personen und sind nach dem zu warmen Apfelwein in eine andere Location gewechselt.

Ein wunderschöner Familienbetrieb im Ortskern von Ockstadt. Ausgezeichneter Apfelwein und super gute Speisen für den Hunger zwischendurch. Man wird sehr freundlich bedient und kennt sich inzwischen. Ich mag auch das Ambiente sowie die Besitzer.

Gemütliche Apfelwein Kneipe mit leckeren Kleinigkeiten zum Essen.

Schönes einfaches Zimmer, bester Flammkuchen ever, vor allem der mit Äpfeln. Perfekt, kann ich nur empfehlen. Der Hof ist gemütlich, man kann dort herrlich sitzen.

Klein und urig. Für eine Stopp mit dem Fahrrad oder aber bei einer Wanderung sehr zu empfehlen. Der Handkäs war perfekt und das Stöffsche erst. Freue mich schon aufs nächste Mal.

Unfassbar gut hier. Tolles Zimmer, lecker Essen, bester Apfelwein und herausragende Gastgeber. Besser geht nicht!!

Sehr gutes Stöffche. Netter Innenhof und schnelle Bedienung. Von der überschaubaren Speisekarte konnten wir drei Gerichte kennenlernen. Alles bodenständig gut. Der Handkäs' sogar sehr gut.

Urige Straußenwirtschaft mit super Äbbelwoi und Quittensecco. Die grüne Soße die es immer Donnerstag gibt,ist der Hammer! Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und nette Inhaber. Wir gehen gerne dorthin.

Wir waren hier, um Mittags einzukehren. Die Karte ist klein und es gibt nur kalte kleine Gerichte und Flammkuchen. Wir bestellten einen Äppler, eine Flasche Wasser, einen kleinen Teller mit geräuchertem Schinken und Käse (Emmentaler) und einen Handkäse mit Musik. Als die Rechnung kam, trauten wir unseren Augen nicht. 21,80 €. Definitiv für das bisschen viel zu viel. Deswegen KEINE EMPFEHLUNG von mir

Die Straußwirtschaft nahe der Ockstädter Kirche bietet typisch hessisches: Selbst gekelterter Äppler und super Handkäs, hausmacher Worscht und selbstgebrannte Schnäpse. Schade, dass das Gerippte nicht ganzjährig geöffnet hat.
