Zum Butschenhof in Viersen

Habe dort meinen 60 Geburtstag mit ein paar Freunden gefeiert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, Bedienung super freundlich und auf Zack. Schönes Ambiente, Essen superlecker, Preise absolut angemessen. Klare Empfehlung!

Erneuter Besuch am 30.Mai 2026: Unverändert exzellent !!!! Das Gute kann so nahe liegen...nur wenige 100 m von meiner Wohnung entfernt. Nach Jahren der erste Besuch: Aussenterrasse ist vorhanden und bei günstigem Wetter häufig stark frequentiert. Der große, rustikal möblierte Gastraum mit Blick auf die Reiterhalle ist luftig und frei von Gerüchen aus der benachbarte Küche. Derzeit wird das Lokal jugoslawisch geführt, wobei die äußerst umfangreiche Speisekarte europäische Gerichte anbietet, d.h. sich nicht auf Cevapcici, Grillplatte mit Gyros usw. beschränkt. Ich entschied mich für das Schnitzel Duo mit Pommes und einem sehr, sehr schmackhaften Salat als Vorspeise (inklusive). Meine Partnerin wählte den Salatteller Florida. Bei meinem Gericht war eines der beiden Schnitzel mit Pfeffersauce garniert, das Zweite mit Sauce Hollandaise. Eine sehr interessante Idee des Kochs. Ich kann dieses schmackhafte Gericht Schnitzelliebhabern nur wärmstens empfehlen. Der sehr üppig bestückte und bereits optisch einladende Salatteller Florida mit Putenbrust ueberraschte durch eine besondere Creation: Er enthielt zugleich mehrere Sorten an Obst: Apfelscheiben, Weintraube, Kirsche, Johannisbeere, Apfelsine und Pflaume. Diese Variante haben wir noch nirgends angetroffen. Ich kann dieses Lokal sehr empfehlen und werde es bestimmt noch öfter aufsuchen. Erneuter Besuch am 23.05.2025. Das Essen war hervorragend. Die Empfehlung meines Bekannten traf zu 100% zu .

Wir waren nach der Taufe mit etwa 25 Personen hier essen und sind wirklich begeistert. Das Essen kam erstaunlich schnell und vor allem für alle nahezu gleichzeitig – und das bei so einer großen Gruppe! Alles war frisch, heiß und sehr lecker. Der Service war aufmerksam und gut organisiert. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Klare Empfehlung!

Gute Auswahl an Speisen. Hier sollte jeder etwas finden. Sehr lecker zubereitet und preislich völlig in Ordnung.

Wenn wir wieder da sind, werden wir hier auf jeden Fall wieder essen. Essen gut, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. wirklich ein Hitter.

Sehr lecker gegessen zu einem guten Preis. Sehr sympathische Bedienung. Und als Dank, dass eine andere Familie mit an unserem Tisch Platz nehmen durfte, haben wir noch ein tolles Dessert geschenkt bekommen. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und kommen gerne wieder... Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

Steak Duo bestellt mit der Bitte das Rindersteak „Well Done“ zu braten. Leider kam das Steak „Raw Medium“. Auch die Bitte um Korrektur war leider nicht von Erfolg gekrönt und auch nach der Möglichkeit zur Nachbesserung war das Steak weit weg von dem gewünschten „Well Done“. Also Steak kann der Koch nicht.

Waren heute das Erste mal dort auf Anraten meines Vaters, Essen war super, Bedienungen waren alle super freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Waren nun zwei mal hier essen und können nur positives berichten. Service ist Klasse, die Portionen mehr als reichlich, das Essen lecker und einfach ein tolles Lokal! Preislich absolut fair.

Besuch mit 4 Erwachsenen und diesmal auch 3 Kleinkindern. Wie gewohnt sehr freundliche Bedienung und gutes Essen, die Gerichte kamen zügig und die Kinder bekamen ihr Essen zuerst. Es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Vielen Dank für die Kinderfreundlichkeit! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Heute zum ersten Mal getestet und sicher nicht zum letzten Mal. Sehr freundlich, angenehme Atmosphäre und das Essen ist Spitze. Saftiges Fleisch. Bisher einer meiner Besten kroatischen Restaurants am Niederrhein. Zudem werden zur Saison auch Hirsch Gerichte u Schweinehaxen angeboten. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder.

Solides bürgerliches Essen in einem rustikalen Ambiente Preis war der Qualität entsprechend aber nicht zu teuer Service top Komme wieder 👍

The waiter was great, too loud and uncomfortable, the seating was hard, the food was terrible, the salad was bland, the dressing was unacceptable, the schnitzel was a convenience, the sauce was soggy and flavorless. The foil-wrapped potato was inedible, completely oversalted. The waiter offered us dessert as an apology, but we declined because we were already fed up. We ordered a medium-dry red wine, didn't get to try it, didn't like it, sent it back, and were charged in full. I don't understand the good reviews... People, what are you eating?? I suspect most people judge by quantity, not quality... All I can say here is... They always tried hard, but...

The main course was delicious, but the dessert was not. We received friendly service. But conversation was almost impossible because it was extremely loud.

Great food, superb service. We had a lady with a food intolerance with us. The waiter checked with the kitchen what she could eat. I find that quite extraordinary. The restaurant is located in a riding arena. Sometimes you can watch the training through large glass panes. The place isn't stylish, but it has very good food and good value for money. The extremely friendly service rounds off the excellent overall impression. We'll definitely be back.

Four of us went to the Butschenhof on Friday evening. Everyone ordered something different, and everyone was absolutely thrilled. A result that's anything but easy for our group. We give it full marks.

No evidence of the animals' origins. When asked, they receive evasive answers. Presumably factory farming. The animals themselves are kept exclusively in stables. Calves in igloos are completely unacceptable! Animal cruelty!

Super delicious food, lots of choice, and you'll be really full. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were very satisfied overall. We'd be happy to come back.

We discovered the Butschenhof based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, we were very, very disappointed. We had reserved a table for three people at 7 p.m. But... When my family and I sat down at the table, the waiter didn't even look at us. We weren't even asked if we wanted a drink. There was no menu either. Instead, the waiter cleared the table next to us and honestly walked past us eight times. But we apparently weren't there. When it hit 7:30 p.m. and we still weren't being noticed, we got up and left. If only they had given us a heads-up, as it takes a while, it wouldn't have been a problem. But ignoring guests for 30 minutes is unacceptable. We went somewhere else. It's a shame you can't get new guests that way.

Very friendly service and good food. Not suitable for people who are afraid of dogs. There were five dogs there today. We'd be happy to come back.

Based on a recommendation, we ate at Butschenhof on the weekend! The overall impression was extremely positive! A short-term reservation was possible without any problems and we were greeted very friendly and shown to the table. The service was very polite, competent and attentive. We received delicious starters very quickly and the main courses were also very good! A small point of criticism was the pepper sauce, which looked and tasted very much like sauce. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back!

We first ate there with three women. We were pleasantly surprised, great value for money, food was plentiful and tasted good. Ambiance, we sat outside, you could perhaps add a seat cushion to the chairs. We will be happy to come back.

We were there on Easter Sunday and ate: Florida salad plate, steak plate *Dou*, grill plate, children's schnitzel and the salmon with spinach. Everything was super tasty, large portions so everyone will be full. Service staff very friendly and in a good mood. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. The ambience still has something from the 80s but that's always a matter of taste and the main thing is that it tastes good. I can only recommend it. We all definitely enjoyed it.

We were there for the first time today. An absolutely cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. Everything is very clean and tidy. That's what you want! I ordered a Florida salad. I have literally NEVER eaten such a fresh salad in my life! It was a flavor explosion. The salads and fresh fruit were crunchy. The house dressing is to die for. As addicts, it took us far too long to come here. We've been there twice in a row now...the first time there was a big reservation from the men's choir and the second time was Boxing Day. I don't really know if I can rate it fairly for these reasons. The fact is that I didn't get any spinach either time - once because of the reservation - and the second time (even though there are dishes with spinach on the additional menu) because of understaffing. A no go for me as a restaurateur. Especially because it's on the menu....!!! The restaurant was very well filled both times, the atmosphere with the riding hall was appealing, the staff, the German lady, was quite friendly. Nevertheless, the service gives me a feeling of assembly line work... Special requests such as sauce please separate or spinach as a side dish were responded to in a stressed manner. (I think this is a communication problem with the kitchen) Unfortunately, re-ordering drinks and mayonaise was not possible. The schnitzels are homemade and very tasty...the sauces are highly recommended, especially the gypsy sauce. The starter salad Okay. We'll be happy to come back!

Food was lukewarm and poorly seasoned!!!

We went out to dinner for Christmas as a larger group of about 12 people. The staff is very friendly and treated the children present in a very friendly and cordial manner. I ordered a schnitzel with mushroom sauce and can only recommend it. Everyone else present also made it clear that the food was very tasty. The establishment is very equestrian style, which doesn't suit my taste but from an objective point of view it is very simple and appropriately furnished. In the winter there is also a fireplace that is lit to keep warm. All in all, we can say that the visit was totally worth it and we will definitely come back, a clear recommendation!!!
