Overall, it was very satisfactory, the service was good, and there was nothing to complain about regarding the food.

Excellent, there were three of us, and we had a great meal and drinks. We were very impressed with the service and atmosphere!

Nice atmosphere, but the food was unfortunately bad. The meat was cold, or rather, still frozen. The service was inattentive and seemed annoyed when we sent the cold meat back. And in the end, there were dishes on the bill that we hadn't ordered.

The Zum Augustiner restaurant in Rosenheim, located on the market square where the Christmas market is currently taking place, is beautifully decorated. The service is very quick, and you don't have to wait long for your food and drinks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even escort older guests to their tables. I must say, I really appreciated that. The staff is fantastic. The food is excellent; the roast pork with dumplings and delicious gravy was particularly tasty. An average Bavarian restaurant. We had roast pork with crackling, two kinds of dumplings, and schnitzel with fries. The pork roast was very dry and the crackling tough, the dumplings and gravy were okay. The schnitzel was good and the fries crispy. It was a bit confusing, though, as the prices on the menu and the bill were higher. Is this an evening surcharge, an old menu that hasn't been sorted out, or were we ripped off? Well, we'll always drink Augustiner beer, but the food could definitely be improved.

I had the salad with pike-perch, and it was completely out of value for money. The taste was okay, but there was very little salad, padded out with a few huge lettuce leaves, too little dressing, a tiny pike-perch fillet, and all for €22.40. I can't recommend it at all; it's a shame.

Absolutely terrible: We waited ages for our drinks (7 people) and only received 5 of the 7 meals we ordered after about an hour (!). The waiter said there were problems in the kitchen. He could have told us that when he took our order. Conclusion: Not a recommended restaurant.

The "Zum Augustiner" restaurant is located on Max-Josefs-Platz in downtown Rosenheim. The beautiful old building perfectly complements the restaurant's charm. Inside, the layout is a bit quirky, with various stairs and steps leading from one room and alcove to the next. 😉 The decor and atmosphere are authentically Bavarian. The food is hearty and delicious, served without much of a wait. The service is friendly despite the restaurant being very busy. Reservations are recommended on weekends and Sundays. Prices are a bit higher than in the surrounding areas and in the countryside, but still reasonable.

Unfriendly staff; tables are free, but they claim they are no longer accepting guests due to staff shortages.

We spontaneously got a table in a very nice, rustic setting last Sunday when the market was open. I had a fantastic schnitzel with probably the best fries I've ever had. My friend had world-class cheese spaetzle; only the fried onions could have been crispier, but that's complaining at a high level. I'd drive the 160km to Rosenheim again just for the fries!

I had dinner at Zum Augustiner with my husband on the last night of our vacation and we had a wonderful meal. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I'm very grateful to the young man who served us because, having arrived just before the kitchen closed, he helped us quickly choose from the menu, as we were having a hard time choosing dishes because we don't speak German.

We wanted to drink local beer and found ourselves here one Sunday night. It was buzzing when everywhere else was quiet. The beer was delicious; the ambience delightful; and the people friendly and welcoming. If you start chatting about music, they might invite you to join them for a little drink!

Unfortunately, the kitchen was already closed today, or rather, yesterday evening. However, a very friendly member of staff advised us where we might be able to get something to eat. Unfortunately, that was also in vain. However, the friendliness and friendliness of the staff member—we later learned his name (Abel)—was so incredibly warm and refreshing that we decided to stop by again even without eating and enjoyed the evening to the fullest. What a friendly atmosphere is all about. We're so excited that we'll be back again today. We're vacationing here in Rosenheim for a few days and will try the kitchen today, naturally hoping that the friendly and welcoming gentleman will be there again ;-)

Nice brewery with very friendly service (even though she was under a lot of stress), some delicious food, and some very good drinks. The Obatzter Cordon Bleu is highly recommended. The fried potatoes were very greasy, and the pretzel with the white sausages was hard.

Beautiful restaurant, both inside and out. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was very dry, and the rest of the food was also rather average. The service could also be improved. Everything from mixed-up dishes to long waits for drinks was a problem. Unfortunately, our server was completely untrained in allergies. Serving a slice of bread with wheat in it on the salad for someone with celiac disease, even though it was clearly stated that no gluten was allowed on the plate, was simply unacceptable!

It's probably the largest pub in Rosenheim's old town! And rightly so! We were there for three days and visited this pub every evening! Despite the stress, the staff was always friendly and humorous! The food is Bavarian and truly delicious, and the Augustiner beer is top-notch! I highly recommend it! 👍

We were your guests on Friday afternoon and Sunday morning and had a wonderful time both days. We were especially impressed by the white sausage breakfast on Sunday. Our little prince received a plate of green cucumbers, which he loves. The lovely waiter didn't even charge us for them. Thank you again for that. We'll be happy to come back next time we visit Rosenheim.

Today, my husband and I wanted to have dinner at the Augustiner at 5:00 p.m., but a waiter told us in an unfriendly tone that they weren't serving any more food, only drinks. We left the restaurant immediately. We, too, will avoid the restaurant in the future.

I don't know what happened today, but I had to wait an hour for food, then the potato salad was gone and the dumplings I got as compensation were terrible.

On June 1, 2025, we were allowed to sit in your restaurant after being turned down at a neighboring restaurant – they only had tables for four people, and we were with a cheerful group of five. Thanks to your friendly staff, we were able to quickly find a table and decide what we wanted to enjoy. The food wasn't just delicious, it was a true feast for the palate! But let's be honest, the food alone doesn't make a great restaurant. The real hero of the day was Matija! A real joker who immediately captivated us with his humor – perfect for our fun group. Yes, I admit I had to wait a little longer for my Kaiser Schmarrn, but don't worry! Your team immediately knew how to accommodate guests – a free liqueur came to the rescue! Add to that Matija's witty remarks, and we immediately felt at home. Thank you for your hospitality! Please keep up the good work! A truly rustic, typically Bavarian inn. They serve Augustiner beer on tap, which is a huge plus. The food is excellent, and they serve all the Bavarian classics. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Rosenheim.

Since the change of tenant, things have definitely changed. The traditional Bavarian pub fare here is of a solid standard, and the chefs are also daring to try new dishes, such as the Hoass'n Hund, a Bavarian interpretation of the hot dog. All in all, definitely worth a visit, especially if you can sit outside on Max-Josefs-Platz.
