Absolutely recommended, just a really traditional, rustic brewery with very, very good beer and great food. The service was also very charming and on point. I travel to Rosenheim once a year for work and always enjoy coming here. Really awesome classic Bavarian restaurant!

We've been here several times and not without reason - it's just really Bavarian good here. In my opinion, there is one of the best roast pork here. Sufficient portion with enough sauce for the dumplings - actually the smaller portion available would be enough for me, but it is so tasty... and at a really moderate price in a hearty atmosphere. It certainly wasn't the last time here.

Service is written in small letters. Unfortunately, several of the waitresses were really unfriendly. We had to wait over 30 minutes for a children's meal. When we asked, we were then contacted. Definitely not recommended!

We were eating as a couple with a small child. Beforehand there was a small activity set with pens and memory. We found this very child-friendly. The children's portion was brought very quickly, and the food we ordered was also brought to the table very early. The portions were very generous and it tasted really good. The service staff was very attentive. The Stockhammer inn has been serving delicious Bavarian cuisine for years. We would love to come back!!

A very nice Bavarian restaurant. The waiters are quick, polite and very attentive. The children immediately received a small package to keep them busy. The menu is very extensive, the drinks and food were served quickly. The portions were very generous and everyone (we were 5 adults and 2 children) enjoyed it very much. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Very cozy traditional place. Extremely fast and nice service. The pork knuckle is outstanding. Crusty skin but not hard. Amazing sauce . Even the knodeln (not my favourite) were pretty good and matching perfect with the sauce. One of the best knuckle in Bavaria

Been there on a Wednesday at noon, the restaurant was quite full but I still received good and fast service. I had the “halbe Schweinshaxe” which was quite tender and had a nice crispy skin. The sauce, coleslaw and Knödel that come with it complement it well. The portion size is decent for the price. The atmosphere is cozy/ traditional and pretty laid back. Being situated in the pedestrian zone adds to the atmosphere.

We had an excellent meal here: Creamy chanterelles, grandma's style, and cheese sparrows, both very tasty and a generous portion. We'd love to come back.

Aufmerksame und nette Bedienung, sehr schönes Ambiente, man sollte reservieren. Käsespätzle sehr gut, Zwiebelrostbraten perfekt und allgemein die Beilagen waren SO GUT!! 😍 Kartoffelstampf mit Meerrettich - unglaublich lecker. Bratensoße sehr gute konsistenz, Kartoffelklöße, Krautsalat selbstgemacht. Alles in allem ein perfekter Abend in Rosenheim

The Stockhammer restaurant in Rosenheim is truly a piece of Bavarian heaven! The roast pork was tender and spicy, the Kaiserschmarrn was fluffy and sweet – simply heavenly. Plus the friendly service, which rounds everything off perfectly. I'll definitely come back again and again!

I went to eat at this place with other colleagues and I had a fairly good time. The sore point was the food, being lactose intolerant I found little choice on the menu, 1 dish maximum 2. When I asked what I could eat without lactose, the waiter wasn't prepared at all. In fact, as soon as I asked him what to eat he replied "A salad", I found the answer tasteless. In the end they managed to make me a meat dish that did not contain milk, and the quality of the meat was very good

Rustic inn with Bavarian tradition. The food was very tasty and the service was very friendly and quick. Good selection of non-alcoholic drinks. We as Prussians felt very comfortable here and were positively surprised at the price.

We have been guests at Stockhammer on Franz-Josephs-Platz for a long time. We both think that this place is one of the best pubs/restaurants in Rosenheim. Because the tenant family always pays close attention to the quality of service and cuisine, you get consistently top quality. The service is courteous, friendly and always available. The cuisine is always of the best quality and the food comes to the table quickly and hot. If there is still cause for a complaint, it will be handled and replaced without complaint. The fact that many people work in the restaurant is evidence of a good working atmosphere. Where others complain about a labor shortage, everything seems fine here. Why? The furnishings and furnishings have been made comfortable and homely with a lot of sensitivity and taste and you immediately feel right at home. We will be happy to come back again in the future.

One of the best restaurants in Rosenheim to eat authentic Bavarian food! Been many times and go back every time I visit. The Schweinshaxe or Schnitzel are absolutely delicious. Just ensure you call ahead and ask them to reserve/pre-order the Schweinshaxe. The outdoor terrace is nice in summer and they have many different dining rooms inside.

I can only agree with the bad reviews here. Both the roast pork and the schnitzel were "frozen food". Both dishes are probably delivered ready-made and then simply warmed up. If you're looking for "real" roast pork or schnitzel, you shouldn't go here, otherwise you'll be disappointed! However, the service was friendly.

Friendly service and remarkably quick service - the food was on the table in less than 15 minutes. The soup was delicious and the roast pork from the daily menu also tasted good. Unfortunately, the crust wasn't as crispy as it seemed in the picture. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio is absolutely right.

What can you say?? My wife's mushroom cream - a floury, tasteless paste with frozen mushrooms - the dumplings are hard and dry. My meal was served with a kitchen note. It was only at our table that the waiter removed it with his hands 🤢 The plate was dirty all around and below with other leftover food that had nothing to do with my dish. HYGIENE POOR! 🤮 Ideal for tourists who come once!

A Bavarian restaurant in the middle of Rosenheim's city center. If you like something hearty and a lot, I recommend the Hax'n.

August 8th, 2024 around 7 p.m. nice warm summer weather, some people were out and about in the city. The tables were occupied. However, around 5-7 tables were tipped over and could not be used by guests. About 10-12 people looked for free seats, a few of them standing at the edge. The unfriendly service staff ordered people to wait outside "on the street". However, the tilted tables were not made ready for the waiting guests. One more reason not to visit the Stockhammer anymore. After the many inhumane and unfriendly actions against some guests in recent years, we wanted to go there again. However, an absolute no-go to visit the Stockhammer in the future and recommended. I had to give one star in order to be able to publish these lines here. However, the Stockhammer is not worth a single star!!

Very good location, good food, friendly staff

Great place right on city's main square. We sat outdoor but inside interiors are very cozy and authentic. Staff is friendly, spoke English (though we were the only foreigners) and wore traditional bavarian outfits which contributed to the atmosphere. We ordered sausages and it was super tasty. Loved the experience!

When the weather is good you can sit outside very nicely. In the middle of the pedestrian zone. Very busy between 1 and 2 p.m. Staff very friendly and quick. To eat we had the Swiss schnitzel, meat patties with bacon, savoy cabbage and mashed potatoes, roast pork with dumplings and coleslaw. Very tasty and good portions too. Dessert of warm apple strudel with vanilla sauce.

Visit day August 6th, 2024 lunchtime. Very bad, but a lot of operating staff always walked past us. We are two physically disabled people, you in a wheelchair and I, as the authorized carer, have 60% as a pusher. After 27 minutes a waiter came and gave us two menus and didn't show up again. Another 15 minutes later nothing had happened except for other healthy people who got everything straight away. We left after 42 minutes. We didn't want to have to wait any longer because of the heat. We were unable to find any signs that said disabled people were not welcome. It's sad that there is such a host.

I always enjoy going to this restaurant.......I also celebrated my birthday here last year and everything was great...my grandson loves the Swiss schnitzel....

Very bad thing. Were scammed for 30 euros!!! We had not looked at what it cost. Afterwards we found that we had received a high bill for what we had eaten. It turned out that we were scammed for 30 euros!!

Yesterday I had dinner here with my daughter. There were cheese spaetzle with medallions and Kaiserschmarrn. The spaetzle is world class, and the meat is also top notch. Unfortunately, the Kaiserschmarrn was not at all fluffy, but rather creamy, heavy and doughy. I like my pancakes just like that, but a Kaiserschmarrn should be fluffy. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't bring my daughter's food until 10 minutes after mine and I also waited over 15 minutes for the bill before I spoke to a second waiter about it again. My little one was given pens and drawing materials right at the beginning, which was very attentive.

We sat outside for lunch. There are only 4 stars for the ambience because everything is a bit cramped, but otherwise very clean and that shouldn't be a problem even when it rains. Now specifically affects the outdoor area in the pedestrian zone! We had a great waiter. He was there when you needed him, but not intrusive - learning is learning! The food was great. I had the Swiss schnitzel myself, my wife had the cold “beer accompaniment” plate (enough for 2) and the little one of course had the schnitzel with fries. Everything was very good. Half a star deducted: The food doesn't come at the same time. All in all, only recommended.

The Stockhammer is always our first address when we are traveling through Italy or on a skiing holiday in Austria. This time we were disappointed for the first time. A waitress is obviously trying to increase the tip using dubious means. The two of us returned there on July 17th. and ordered a crusty roast, cheese spaetzle, 2 large ones and a small light one. When billing, the waiter calls for a sum of around 41 euros. I'm a little surprised because of the amount, but I give 44 euros. I don't get an invoice. Later I talk to the operator and ask to check again. He appears at the table smiling sheepishly with 2.50 euros in cash in his hand and apologizes, pointing out that he accidentally added the espresso from the next table to our bill. I still haven't received an invoice. I then explicitly request this and get the following... Any comment is unnecessary. No trace of espresso. The strategy: Simply increase the total at the table by 2.50 without showing the bill and then record the additional amount as a tip. I'm sure it was an isolated incident.

Absolut empfehlenswert, herrliche bayrische Gemütlichkeit, sehr freundliches Personal und Service bzw. das Essen einfach top! Wir haben das Lokal bereits im Juli 2023 einmal besucht und waren im Juli 2024 zweimal zum Mittagessen dort, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Der beste bayrische Schweinsbraten miit Sauerkraut, den wir bisher genießen konnten! Herzliche Grüße aus Österreich!

Super friendly service in the beer garden and great food.

We ate there during a bike ride. We ate outside. I don't really want to talk about a beer garden, as the tables and chairs are well protected by large parasols in front of the house in the pedestrian zone. I don't want to rate the ambience specifically because it looks similar in other restaurants. We enjoyed the food. It was served relatively quickly by an extremely friendly waiter. Therefore, we can only recommend this inn - even if it was only a one-time visit. This is also supported by the fact that it was very well attended.
