I was on my way to the trade fair and spontaneously stopped at the Gasthaus zum Stockhammer. Really rustic inn with really good Bavarian cuisine. The food came quickly, was hot and tasted like Grandma's used to. Service was friendly and not stressed despite being busy. The price is also ok for the location in the middle of Rosenheim. When I'm back in the corner I'll definitely take a look there again

Last week I was visiting Rosenheim and we went to Stockhammer. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great.

Unfortunately I can only give it 3 stars out of 5. The food, pork knuckle and roast pork were really excellent, but we were really disappointed with the service... there was a hectic atmosphere among the waiters, even though there really wasn't much going on. In my opinion, there was also a lack of friendliness, you felt like you were really being handled. So we won't be coming there again.

If you want to experience real Bavarian cuisine, you're doing everything right here. The food is super tasty, the portions are perfect and you can't complain about the price either. I have to particularly emphasize the friendly service.

That's exactly what I imagine when it comes to good Bavarian cuisine, the Leberkäse was simply incredibly tasty.

If you don't come spontaneously it's definitely better. We were sitting somewhere in the hallway. Larissa, the waitress, was very attentive to us. The rest is at best correct. Onion roast with beans and some fried potatoes was correct. I wouldn't order it again.

Rustic traditional restaurant in the middle of the city. Easy to reach because it is centrally located. Solid dishes from German cuisine. If you like something hearty, you're in good hands here.

A beautiful Bavarian inn in a prime location. The food is good, the portion is good and the price is right too. Nevertheless, I can only give it 3 out of 5 stars because the service was absolutely not good and everything took a very long time.

Absolutely terrible. Unfriendly and completely overwhelmed staff from start to finish. No structure in acting and dealing with customers. If 4 guests say: it was NOT tasty, they don't even question it. Selling pork belly as roast pork is a disgrace. BUT nobody cares because new customers come in all the time. MASS PRODUCTION in perfection. We will never set foot in this “restaurant” again!!!

Typical restaurant located in the center, but still with plenty of parking nearby. Very welcoming, with lots of wood, in a historic setting. We ate soups and grilled meat. Both very good, with generous portions. Even though the place was very full, they served us very quickly. The dining room staff is friendly. I recommend booking on the weekend.

We had 1x crispy zucchini plants garnished with salad bouquet and 1x cheese dumplings with ratatouille. We enjoyed it very much and were completely satisfied.

Very friendly waiters and excellent food as well as extremely tasty, especially really fresh, just perfect for a nice dinner for two.

It's a mystery to me why I HAVE to order three dumplings when I know I can only eat two. According to the waiter, he is not allowed to give a “children’s portion” if you are over 14 years old. I think it's pretty unnecessary. But the food itself was good

It's really difficult to find a restaurant in Rosenheim - they all look very attractive. We chose the Stockhammer. An absolutely good decision! We were served attentively, friendly and quickly - thanks to the waiter team! We had pork knuckle and goulash. The knuckle was the best my friend has ever eaten! It had crispy skin, tender meat and great taste. My goulash was not inferior - it was great! Tender meat, great sauce, really good! We would love to come back!

Really delicious food. We sat outside very nicely in great weather. Service was also good. If we are in Rosenheim again, we will come back.

Perfect service. Fast, friendly, very attentive, and the food is of the best quality and simply delicious. We had a vegetarian dish, a schnitzel and a grilled plate, everything was served very promptly and it was simply delicious. We had zero complaints and the service was very quick and friendly. Excellent Bavarian specialties, fast and friendly service.

Had pork knuckles for lunch. Full house. The waiters in full operation. Still friendly and hardworking. You can forget the little things, the mustard. The food was very tasty and hot.

Wanted to drink 1-2 beers (beer garden!!!!!!!) The waiter said I had 20 minutes. I thought it was a joke. Even though there were still at least 10 tables available, he came and told me to pay and leave. That's not possible. Staff unfriendly and arrogant. Never come back!!!!!!!

There were eleven of us at the class reunion in the “basement” and we were really loud and exuberant! The food was great, the atmosphere was very nice and the waiters were friendly, quick and accommodating. Despite our loudness 😊 by the way, I had a very tasty onion roast that I can only recommend!!! Big portion!!! Gladly again!

Das Restaurant bietet Sitzplätze im Innen- und Außenbereich und liegt im Zentrum der Fußgängerzone. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen (Kaspressknödel) mit frischem Salat garniert. Gerne wieder.

Clocky restaurant in the center, Vincent the waiter is awesome, despite all the tables he looks after, he is attentive and accommodating... I decided on half the knuckle... meat was tender, sauce was great... the crust was unfortunately extremely salty, too salty for me... but please, tastes are different and I'll be happy to come back

We sat in a smaller adjoining guest room, which was quite warm but still not uncomfortable. The service was nice, quick and courteous. The food was good, the vegetables were a little underseasoned, the potato salad was reminiscent of sour mashed potatoes. Nevertheless, everything tasted good. Would definitely go again.

Very nice restaurant, the staff found us a table even without a reservation in a beautiful, warm and welcoming room. Good but not exceptional dishes. Average price. It is located in the market square therefore an excellent location. The Schnitzler is worth it!

On Saturday evening we were turned away in an extremely rude manner without a reservation and were even loudly told that this was normal on a Saturday. There is understanding for the rush, but a respectful tone should be a given in the catering industry. Very disappointing and definitely not professional.

Beautiful and long-established inn on Max-Josef Platz in Rosenheim. The "Stockhammer" has several guest rooms, all of which are decorated in a Bavarian, cozy but slightly different way. In summer there is a large and cozy outdoor area directly in the pedestrian zone. The dishes are fresh and taste excellent. On the menu you will find all the classics of Bavarian-Alpine cuisine. The portions are sufficiently large. The prices are absolutely moderate and reasonable for the location and the quality of the food. The staff is quick, always friendly and doesn't change particularly often, which speaks for itself.

The Stockhammer is a must for anyone who wanders through downtown Rosenheim. The beautiful Bavarian ambience invites you to order a delicious roast pork. So far I've been a fan through and through, but after our last visit my joy was somewhat "tarnished". We were out at the Christmas market and stopped for lunch. We had two babies with us who were in strollers most of the time. Of course we stated this when making the reservation. “Please have a table that can accommodate 2 strollers” - “no problem” they said. But that didn't go down well with the wait staff on site. They weren't happy that the two strollers were in the room, although it didn't bother other guests because we got a seat on the corner. The “paths” for operation were also clear. We thought that was a shame, so there are deductions in terms of 'service'. What a shame!

The roast pork was very good. 2 pieces of meat and 2 different dumplings with beer sauce and a coleslaw. The service was also attentive and our table was served all main courses almost at the same time. Unfortunately, since the room was almost full, it was a bit noisy. But that's somehow part of an economy.
