It always tastes very good and I'll eat there again at any time

This restaurant is a must. Even with a toddler (9 months) you can eat such great food there. 5* is not nearly enough for the food. We can simply recommend it to everyone!! Thanks to the great team!

Went there for lunch today with 9 people. Had the table reserved a few weeks ago. The service is super friendly and on point. The waiter is also very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is cozy and everything is very clean. Once you've finished your drink, it didn't take long until you were asked if you wanted anything else. I think that's service. That's how it should be. I would like to be served as a guest. The food was very tasty and sufficient. The salad was fresh and the sauce tasted great. There's nothing you can say against that. I had the grill plate with 3 different types of meat. So really great. The meat was presented very well. It was really grilled as you could see the typical streaks from the rust. The meat wasn't streaky or had any other negative characteristics, which we've already experienced here and there. My other 8 companions were also noticeably very satisfied with the food. All in all, I can definitely recommend it. Also with regard to the 19 percent VAT. In total, with 9 people, we paid roughly 250 euros, drinks, main course and dessert. I think the price is really right for the current time. I will definitely come again.

Very good German cuisine. Great taste. We were in old Kaan with a large group. The previously ordered menu exceeded our expectations in all respects. Our guests were very surprised by the taste of the buffet. The service staff has always been friendly and on the ball. The head waiter is an absolute gastronomy professional in all respects. Keep it up - of course we'll come back and recommend the inn "zum alten Kaan" to our friends. Thanks again to the entire team for everything.

Everything fits . Slightly upscale cuisine at correct prices, friendly, attentive and competent staff. Beautiful, rustic furnishings in the taproom.

Every now and then I drive through Siegerland and test the region's crusts. I was totally impressed by the quality and taste here.

Very cozy restaurant with pleasant prices and delicious food. Staff very friendly, attentive and also open to any special requests. Will eat there more often now. Price/performance simply bomb. Absolutely deserves the 5 stars

Good local cuisine, owner-managed, which can be felt

I ended up in the old Kaan for the first time by invitation. Unfortunately, it was a very dark place. The ambience is not appealing to me. There is a lack of light from outside and a friendlier design of the guest room. I felt pretty out of place there on a sunny day. You could do more with it!

Richtig gute Schnitzel, besonders da es jedes Schnitzel auch als Pute gibt. Der Beilagensalat...dieses Dressing...ein Traum...🤤 Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service. Wir kommen immer wieder gern wenn wir Lust auf ein gutes Schnitzel haben...weiter so 👍

Weil viel los war und eine Gruppe schon etwas angetrunken ankam, war es ziemlich laut. Dafür kann der Gastronom nix. Die urige Einrichtung ist genau mein Ding, total gemütlich. Das Essen war top, Service ebenso. Begeistert bin ich von der kleinen Karte, denn dann weiß man vorab, es wird auf frische Lebensmittel Wert gelegt. Der Preis war mehr als angemessen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Ein schöner Dorfgasthof in Kaan-Marienborn. Ich empfehle das Schnitzel. Auch würfeln macht hier besonders Spaß. Sehr urige Atmosphäre.

Seit langer, langer Zeit nochmal mit Freunden hier gewesen. Essen, Service absolut perfekt. .......wir werden jetzt öfter hingehen, da wir gerne gut bürgerlich essen und es im Siegerland leider nur noch wenige Restaurants davon gibt.

Super leckeres Essen- abwechslungsreiche Karte- freundlicher Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Abendessen im Restaurant sehr gut, komplett ohne Beanstandung. Service-Team freundlich und zuvorkommend. Speisen sehr deliziös, Steaks genau auf den Punkt gegart, wunderbares Ambiente.

Alles war sehr gut, sehr netter Service und leckeres Essen. Tisch reservieren, sonst kann man Pech haben.

Wir waren am 18.03.23 mit vier Personen beim Alten Kann zum Abendessen eingekehrt und die Meinung war einstimmig; Qualitativ hochwertige Mahlzeiten und feiner Geschmack, sowohl was den Salat als auch die Hauptspeise betrifft. Zudem war auch die Bedienung sehr angenehm und freundlich. Fazit: Sehr zu empfehlen.

Nicht das erste Mal, dass wir da waren, und wie immer top! Gemütlich zum Sitzen, sehr angenehmer Service und das Essen war lecker. Gerne wieder!
