Nice, inconspicuous restaurant in the middle of Schiltach. Came across it by chance and were very pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, friendly service and fair prices are rare. Definitely worth a visit. We've been there three times now and we'll be back next time we're in the area...

Very cozy pizzeria everything perfect!!!

We waited longer for our food, over 45 minutes for 2 pizzas. They finally arrived but were burned. Combustion process: In addition to carbon, combustion also produces harmful and carcinogenic substances such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, heterocyclic aromatic amines and acrylamide. Not recommended at all 👎

Wie haben zwar länger auf unser Essen gewartet , über 45 min für 2 Pizza.Endlich sind die gekommen aber verbrannt. Verbrennungsprozess : Neben Kohlenstoff entstehen beim Verbrennen nämlich auch gesundheitsschädliche und krebserregende Stoffe wie polyzyklische aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, heterozyklische aromatische Amine und Acrylamid. Überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen 👎

Last night we had dinner at the Zum Alten Fritz restaurant in Schiltach and decided on the spaghetti with tomato sauce and crabs and a combination. As drinks we had a 0.4 l apple spritzer and Cyclist. Both dishes were tasty and well prepared. The ambience impresses with a rustic, cozy atmosphere with a successful mix of high tables with bar stools and compartment-like, upholstered benches. These can accommodate 2-3 people and are ideal for a cozy meal for two, but less suitable for larger families or groups. The service was attentive and friendly, and the kitchen worked quickly so we were able to enjoy our meal quickly. All in all, it was a successful evening with delicious food and good service, with a tip of 35 euros. We'd love to come back!

Were there today for dinner and the waitress Maria gave us great advice and looked after us. Food was very tasty and plentiful. If we come through here again with the motorhome we will definitely stop again. Thank you Schorschi and Mariechen

The very nice landlord saved us from starvation and put a few schnitzels in the pan for us, even though the kitchen was actually already closed. It was also very tasty. The atmosphere is rustic but very cozy. Can be recommended.

It's rare that I'm so hungry that I don't take photos. The restaurant was open during the day when everything else was closed and it was the perfect end to our idyllic tour of Schiltach! We had gnocchi, huge portions. Was delicious. We had fun. Friendly service, you have to be patient, tables are often reserved.

Excellent flammkuchen, abundant glass of white wine (25cl.) and dark beer. Excellent quality/price ratio. Happy, we recommend it. They accept cards, friendly and pleasant waiter.

It took them a long time to serve us but the dishes were good and plentiful. Almost all Italian food. The sad thing is that, as another review says, they also tried to charge us €30 more, without giving us a ticket beforehand, only when we complained, so don't pay until they give it to you and you review it. By the way, the soft drinks were brought to us directly in the glass and on other tables there was the bottle. A little strange, really.

It's a lovely place to stay in the heart of Schiltach, the food is very tasty and inexpensive. The portions are just right and the service is very good and friendly. We'd love to come back.

Sostanzialmente una birreria che fa anche pizza anche per asporto. Servizio buono e chiaramente birra proporzionata visto che siamo nelle zone giuste. Vicino all’area camper, per chi è camperista come me.

Small bar on the road in the village. It's nice that the windows can be opened in the summer and that the tables by the window give you a nice pub idea. Several beers on tap.

To kill hunger is fine. It's just a little expensive and the food could taste better. Otherwise everything is okay.

Unfortunately not always the best food. It used to be consistently good. After the last visit about 7/8 months ago, I haven't been there again. Pizza was absolutely far from having a somewhat crispy base. Prices are simply too high for this variation in quality. If I dare go there again I'll give a status update.

Ansich eine Urige Wirtschaft, wie man den Alten Fritz vermutet. Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam! Leider sind die Preise in meinen Augen komplett Überzogen im Gegensatz zur Konkurenz im Ort. Ob ich nochmal kommen kann ich nicht sagen.

It doesn’t say on Google Map but the restaurant stops serving lunch after 2pm. We arrived shortly after 2pm and were turned away in a passive aggressive manner by a waitress. We asked what other options are in town, she replied kebab, but in fact there were other restaurants still open for lunch.

We had lunch at Alter Fritz while visiting Schiltach. We thought the food and service was good and enjoyed the casual setting. We also liked that they had tables outside where we could enjoy the view while having lunch.

Everything good, the place, the food, the prices. They have typical German food as well as some well-combined Italian food. Recommendable.

Super little restaurant with typical German "stub" decor with Italian cuisine, rather original. The welcome and service are top notch, our waitress was smiling and very pleasant. There is a wide choice of pastas, pizzas, salads and meats at unbeatable, impressive prices. We had pasta which was delicious and especially served in gargantuan quantities (doggy bag for the next day!). I without hesitation recommend this restaurant where you can indulge yourself while controlling your budget, top notch!

Super petit restaurant à la décoaration typique des "stub" allemand avec une cuisine italienne, plutôt original. L'accueil et le service sont au top, notre serveuse était souriante et très agréable. Il y a un large choix de pâtes, pizzas, salades et viandes a des prix défiant toute concurrence, impressionnant. Nous avons pris des pâtes qui étaient délicieuses et surtout servis en quantité gargantuesque (doggy bag pour le lendemain !). Je recommande sans hésiter ce restaurant ou l'on peut se faire plaisir tout en maitrisant son budget, au top !

Wir kommen sehr regelmäßig. Essen immer super und der Zusatz "scharf" auf der Karte wird auch wirklich so berücksichtigt. Zudem große Getränkeauswahl an alkoholischem sowie Anti- alkoholischem. Bedienung immer super nett und schnell. Preislich gut und angemessen. - Es kann jedoch nur bar bezahlt werden. Uhrige, gemütliche Atmosphäre! Zudem lädt Schiltach zu einem Spaziergang in der Altstadt zum Verdauungsspaziergang ein!

Ci siamo fermati qui per pranzo, e ci siamo trovati bene. Il menù offre diverse proposte della cucina italiana (anche se non sempre sono ben realizzate), e le porzioni sono abbondanti. Fanno anche la pizza, ed è abbastanza buona. Il menù è scritto anche in italiano, ed il personale pure parla la nostra lingua.

Gezellig plaatselijk café waar je heerlijk pizza, pasta of een schnitzel kunt eten. Uitgebreide kaart, en alles vers bereid. Er hangt een fijne sfeer en de service is goed. Wij hebben hier tijdens onze midweek in Schiltach meermaals gegeten en lekker een biertje en een wijntje gedronken. Leuke plek, aanrader!

Ristorante con interni tradizionali di stile antico con un menù che copia i piatti italiani. Alle 14:00 chiude la cottura del cibo Noi siamo arrivati poco dopo Ma ci hanno servito lo stesso. Piatti abbondanti e per quel poco che abbiamo preso comunque anche buoni

Pedimos 3 pizzas para llevar, nos costaron menos de 30€, estaban riquísimas y con buena cantidad de ingredientes, los trabajadores muy simpáticos.

Het zal wel ons liggen (wij gebruiken dat niet) maar eten was veel te zout! Zo veel dat we de helft hebben laten staan.

What a great place. It’s got the charm of a village pub, with very kind and friendly service, and the food is mostly Italian (Pizza/Pasta) with some German classics. Everything is good; I would recommend the Jägerschnitzel. The prices are also very reasonable so you really can’t go wrong here. I said to my wife we should find a way to stay in the village for another day so we can eat here again. ☺️

We got take out here. Service was timely and friendly, but be aware they only take cash! Pizza and spaghetti were good, but the pizza bread was my favorite thing we ordered! Fluffy, chewy, and perfectly seasoned. I wanted more after we'd finished it!

War zum ersten Mal in der Pizzeria, es war sehr gemütlich. Wir wurden schnell und sehr freundlich bedient. Das Essen war seeeehr gut, es hat allen geschmeckt. Pizza, Lasagne und Nudeln mit Lachs waren heiss und gut gewürzt. Sehr zu empfehlen. Ich werde sicher wieder kommen.
