Great food at a fair price, everything freshly made, friendly staff, what more could you want.

A very nice, cozy inn with delicious food, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We'll be back :)

We were there with a large group. We had made a reservation in advance. Service was completely overwhelmed. Some of the food was completely overcooked. Fish 🐟 was dry as a biscuit. Unfortunately, many of the schnitzels were way overcooked. The portions are really decent. Salad was very grainy (sandy) and you had to hunt for the dressing. Unfortunately, the tarte flambée was consistently cold. The atmosphere is really good. But the rest of the food needs some serious work.

On Wednesday, ten of us went to the Zülpicher Wirtshaus for a delicious meal. We had schnitzel with hunter's sauce, with creamy mushroom sauce, fries or fried potatoes, and a large salad, liver with onion and apple rings and mashed potatoes, and pork medallions in cream cheese sauce. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. I highly recommend it.

I was here again on Wednesday. It was once again super delicious. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

We'd heard about the "all you can eat" prawn day and wanted to try it out, even though the outcome was somewhat predictable beforehand, but one can still dream. It's clear that frozen goods aren't cooked as well as fresh ones, but unfortunately the prawns were overcooked and overseasoned. The schnitzel and currywurst weren't convincing either. So, thumbs down.

Despite arriving very late here in Zülpich and the kitchen actually being closed at 9:00 PM, we still managed to get a delicious Wiener and Jägerschnitzel. Typical German food with very friendly staff.

I wanted to go out to dinner with my wife today and try something new. That didn't work out, so we sat down in the restaurant to have a nice meal. But then we were skillfully ignored for about half an hour, so we decided to leave. Unfortunately, a definite no-recommendation. And now you don't have to wonder where the bad reviews come from. 🙈

Supposedly open on Sundays from 11 a.m. But that's not the case.

New owner – and it's worth it! The inn in Zülpich impresses with a fantastic, traditional inn-style menu. The inn goulash was particularly excellent – ​​hearty, savory, and simply delicious! The service was warm and attentive. Highly recommended!

We were there yesterday and were unfortunately quite disappointed. Our group had been scheduled for 3:30 PM, but no one was there. So we waited 30 minutes before anyone even came to let us in. The ambiance in the restaurant is really nice, and having a separate room was also good. We had four children with us and had requested that the children's meals come first so they could be taken care of. That didn't work at all. The kids' meals arrived very late; a few of us had already finished their adult meals. My meal arrived a good 20 minutes after everyone else had. The meal itself was OK, but I would have expected more. The portions are large and the side dishes are plentiful. The icing on the cake was paying the bill. There are exactly two options: cash or PayPal. That's a bit worrisome, especially from a tax perspective. All in all, one of the worse experiences… unfortunately!

Unfortunately, it's not worth a visit. I received a €100 voucher for my birthday, which I can no longer redeem due to a change of ownership. Unfortunately, it's less than six months old and now useless. It's a shame there was no information about it expiring. Shame!

I was lucky enough to stumble upon the Zülpicher Wirtshaus on my way back from Cologne, and it was a wonderful discovery. This family-run restaurant exudes true authenticity, with a warm welcome that immediately puts you at ease. I particularly appreciated the kindness of the owner, with whom I was able to interact in a simple and friendly manner. The dishes are generous and homemade, and they take the time to accommodate all special requests without any hassle. There's a nice variety of schnitzels, a regional specialty, as well as vegetarian options. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a lovely setting both inside and on the terrace, where everyone, including dogs, is truly welcome. It's a rare place where you feel right at home, and I'll be happy to come back. I highly recommend it; it's not far from Cologne/Köln!

I stumbled upon the Zülpicher Wirtshaus by chance on the way back from Cologne, and what a lovely surprise! The service was truly attentive, and I had a very pleasant exchange with the warm and welcoming owner. The portions were very generous, my special requests were respected, and everything was delicious. The setting is pleasant, with a beautiful terrace. Dogs are welcome, and there's parking right next door. An authentic restaurant that I'll happily return to.

Beautiful ambiance and a very friendly waiter. He was on his first day at work and was very attentive. The food was very poorly prepared. The schnitzel was deep-fried and unseasoned. The fries were limp and lukewarm. The salad dressing tasted like cream with no seasoning at all, simply horrible. The chanterelle mushroom sauce had a strong tang. Our complaint was met with incomprehension by the cook. She gave the impression that she hadn't been trained as a chef. It's a real shame for such a beautiful restaurant. Our neighbors weren't impressed with the kitchen's performance either. We went to a competitor; it was our wedding anniversary, and we wanted to have a pleasant evening.

I really enjoy eating there, with fresh vegetables and juicy schnitzel. The portions are large and delicious. It has a cozy beer garden. There's a new tenant recently, but that doesn't detract from the restaurant's reputation.

We were there again today. Ali (the new owner) and his team are very friendly. We had schnitzel, shashlik, and currywurst. They also served draft beers, branded sodas, and Hugo. The food was delicious and all freshly homemade. The drinks were nice and cold. We sat outside in the beer garden, which has everything you need for a lovely, convivial evening in Zülpich. We'll definitely be back and look forward to the next party at Wirtshaus Zülpich 😉

New opening today! First impressions are absolutely negative. We ordered goulash with dumplings and goulash with mashed potatoes. We were served a deep bowl of goulash soup with two dumplings floating in it, and a bowl of mashed potatoes topped with a little goulash sauce. Both dishes contained no more than three to four tiny pieces of meat. The price of €18.90 was outrageous. The goulash soup with dumplings was immediately rejected and returned. The waitress didn't insist on paying for the portion.

Great brewery with traditional dishes. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, we weren't entirely convinced. The cappuccino was more like instant coffee and was only lukewarm. The ice cream didn't match the menu description: instead of creamy milk ice cream, it was partially filled with water ice and had large ice crystals. Individual scoops weren't recognizable – everything had swirled together, unfortunately disappointing in terms of taste. The beer we wanted was also only available once. We found the prices to be overpriced. The pleasant atmosphere and friendly service deserve special mention.

The waitress Michelle was excellent, as were the manager and manager (she's the cook). It wasn't busy, but that didn't detract from the friendliness. The food was excellent, even though they didn't have everything on the menu. However, the menu is being revised, as the owners are relatively new. All in all, highly recommended. We'll be back.

Good old German home cooking. Very, very tasty and great service.

I reserved a table for four people on May 22nd at 4:12 PM for June 6th at 5:30 PM. When we arrived today, it was closed, with a notice on the door saying it was closed for renovations, and the lady at the counter refused to acknowledge our reservation. We drove 31 km for this. I don't recommend this restaurant; I made a real fool of myself in front of my friends. There are more reliable restaurants.

The portions were very generous, and special requests were accommodated. The ambiance is very nice, with plenty of space and an inviting outdoor area. Dogs are welcome 💜 Parking is available right next to the inn. We'd love to come back!

It's certainly enough for a casual beer drink. Anything else is unprofessional. They charge by the beer mat, without a cash register...

We ate at the restaurant today. The kitchen staff seemed completely overwhelmed. The service staff at least blamed the kitchen, even though we also waited a long time for drinks. We waited over an hour for the food. And the salad tasted of nothing. The schnitzel was okay. But the overall package just doesn't add up. There are no receipts or invoices, and they only accept cash. Card payments aren't possible, but PayPal would be possible with a private address. All in all, the presentation is nice. The schnitzel is good, but the rest is really bad. We won't be back.

Today we were there spontaneously with 8 people outside of peak times. But I would still recommend reserving a table. Unfortunately, the entire street smelled of sewage, which unfortunately spread to a side room in the restaurant where we were initially supposed to sit. We spoke up about it straight away and a table was put together in the restaurant so we were able to eat there. That was very accommodating of the waitress! The food was really great! The schnitzel was super tasty and the fries were also perfect. We were all full and loved it. As already said, very nice settlement! We'll be back!

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht von unserem Besuch. Die Bratkartoffeln waren kalt, und das Schnitzel hat im Vergleich zu früher – unter dem vorherigen Besitzer – deutlich an Größe verloren, fast nur noch die Hälfte. Für den Preis eine absolut unverschämte Portion! Das Sparerib war nur lauwarm serviert, und für 22 € hätte man zumindest einen kleinen Salat dazuerwarten dürfen. Auch die Pommes waren sehr knapp bemessen – weit entfernt von einer zufriedenstellenden Portion. Der Service war ebenfalls extrem schlecht: unaufmerksam, unfreundlich und wenig bemüht. Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht – man fühlt sich fast schon abgezockt. Fazit: Leider absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

The food was really good. BUT you don't get a bill, just something scribbled on a beer mat. Completely opaque with 6 people. Upon request there is a handwritten note with 2 items - various dishes and various drinks. Oh and oops, I collected €20 too much beforehand. A celebration for the tax office. Too bad. Thank you and no more. The floor should also be cleaned, both under the table and on the toilet.

First and last time. We just had dinner there. All I can say is that I was extremely disappointed. Portions are far too small and are really overpriced. Getting the wrong food. If I remember correctly there is only one menu with suckling pig. My husband took it extra because it comes with fried potatoes and coleslaw. It was then delivered with fries. (Man is absolutely not a fan of fries) After asking nicely whether you could have fried potatoes, the nice answer was “yes”. After about two minutes they came in a cereal bowl, served ice cold. You couldn't see any of the coleslaw at all because you simply couldn't get it. However, I paid full price and wasn't full.

The food at the inn in Zülpich was quite good – solid, home-cooked food, absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes were also reasonable. The kitchen seems to know its craft, and that's definitely a plus. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also generally cozy and inviting. Unfortunately, the praise ends there – because what permanently tarnishes the positive impression is the service. In our case, the way guests were treated was disappointing and in no way commensurate with the ambiance or the prices. From the very beginning, we felt dismissed rather than welcomed. Questions about the menu were met with a mixture of impatience and noticeable annoyance. A smile or even a friendly tone? None. A particularly negative moment was when we politely pointed out that an order hadn't been taken correctly – instead of an apology or a professional resolution of the situation, we were snippyly reprimanded. This is unacceptable in the restaurant industry. Overall, it seems as if the service staff either doesn't want to serve guests or lacks any understanding of how important friendly and respectful behavior is in such an establishment. It's a shame – because the food alone doesn't make a restaurant experience worthwhile. A restaurant thrives on hospitality, and unfortunately, that was precisely what wasn't evident here.

We stopped there last night. It wasn't full, but we still waited over an hour for food. The waiter was very nice and the food was ok, nothing to praise but nothing to complain about either. However, the whole lower floor smelled extremely like a toilet and that lasted the whole evening. That wasn't very pleasant. The lady behind the counter also reported in a clearly coughing voice that she had been terribly ill for three weeks. Yes, you are happy to receive the drinks. Oh well. A glass tipped over at our table. We were given a rag when we asked, but none of the waiters felt responsible to help. Malleur, which was not our fault, remained our problem.

The first person had already finished eating by the time the fourth person's meal was served. Dear restaurant, we always enjoyed coming to you. You urgently need to improve your service. Your food is very tasty. But we're not going to wait an hour for a simple schnitzel anymore.

We ate there twice on Friday, the portions were good and it was delicious! What I didn't like was that you immediately get €2.00 written on the lid if you order fried potatoes instead of fries. That's not a change, but the menu says fries OR fried potatoes. The best thing was that you then had to show the waitress the Instagram post as proof.

Today we spontaneously went out with our 2 little Pomeranians and then stopped at the Zülpicher tavern and were pleasantly surprised, the whole ambience fit wonderfully with the tavern, everything was spotlessly clean, subtle decoration but very nice, despite it being open at the weekend, we had the feeling we were being entertained alone Dogs were immediately given a water bowl and were allowed to be with us. The service was extremely pleasant and very friendly. Despite being busy, we had 30-35 minutes of waiting time for a super delicious, freshly prepared schnitzel dish. Price/performance ratio, mega portions, nothing for small appetites:) (meega) unfortunately we didn't manage to get our side salad, but here too it was promptly offered to us, packed up to take away. Super delicious food, everything perfect, super nice service, great and pleasant atmosphere. And for a pub, it hardly smelled like food at all.

We held our Christmas party there with 40 people! We got an extra large room on the ground floor. The staff is very nice and quick! I had a large champion cream schnitzel that tasted very good and everyone I spoke to was happy I'll definitely go there again."

The food is very good. For 18.50 euros there was schnitzel with mushroom sauce, fries and a side salad. For 15.90 euros, veal liver with onions and mashed potatoes. Only the side salad is for the garbage can. Everything else is recommended. Service needs improvement!!!

We ate at the Zülpicher Witzhaus for the first time on Saturday. The service was friendly, polite but unfortunately a little distracted at times. The structure of the menu takes a little getting used to, but what is on offer fits into the ambience of a pub. The food was really great. The schnitzel is highly (highly) recommended and the portions are not too small either. Delicious. We come for sure again.

We were there for the first time a few weeks ago - crazy. The food was absolutely top, large portions, ultra tasty, extremely nice service. We thought we had found our new local restaurant. On Saturday the punch in the stomach came. Gambas pan, with garlic, which tasted like everything but garlic. Cold fried potatoes, miniature roulade, strange schnitzel, salad not dressed. The service made a mistake in the price of 4 dishes and 2 of them. It's a shame it's such a nice place

You must have had a bad day today. After ordering, the first meal after 1 hour 40 minutes, the last meal after 1 hour 50 minutes and that for 4 people. The staff is completely overwhelmed, but so is the boss. The food was actually good but it's stupid when you have a small piece of plastic in the sauce.

When I only wanted mushrooms on my schnitzel instead of "hunter", I was just stared at stupidly. What would have happened if I had peppers instead of.......... Unfortunately, many people still live in the past.

As if I had cooked myself. Simply delicious 😋 The portions are right, value for money is very good! We'd love to come back In conclusion.. Toilets were also very clean! They are located on the 1st floor and can be reached using a stair lift if required.
