I had the pleasure of dining at Zom Stüffje restaurant last week and I can safely say that it was an unforgettable experience. Ambiance: The restaurant offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed dinner. The stylish furnishings and soft lighting create a pleasant atmosphere. Food: The highlight of the evening was of course the food. I chose the rump steak, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. The side dish of fried potatoes were fresh and tasty. Value for money:** Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and the service you receive. It is definitely a place to treat yourself to. **Conclusion:** I can recommend “Zom Stüffje” to anyone who is looking for a great experience. I'm already looking forward to the next visit 😊

Everything to recommend, everything delicious, great service

Totally quaint restaurant in the heart of Cochem. We dined here with a large group of 12 people and had a really good evening. Super friendly, warm service and really good food. Totally authentic and really nice and cozy atmosphere. The drinks were also really tasty and the time in which the food arrived was record-breaking. I think we'll come back again. Separate payment also worked well and the prices were more than reasonable. Reservation must be made, there was a line outside :)

If you are in Cochem, then you should definitely eat there.. the waitresses are very friendly and motivated.. we had a salmon tarte flambée as a starter, the main course Jägerschnitzel, the pork loin and at the end the warm apple strudel. We were blown away.. very tasty.. 😍🤤 Big compliments to everyone and keep it up...

We chose the restaurant based on the rating and on the recommendation of the hotel, unfortunately we didn’t even get a drink, the order was accepted 30 minutes after landing in a half-empty restaurant. Apparently we were very unlucky with such terrible service. The establishment does not respect its guests, neither bread nor drink; when passing by, they constantly say that I will come to you soon, this is not professional. After 42 minutes, we canceled the order, and the reaction: - the beer is already standing, I’ll serve it soon... the word Sorry is not known here. This is no respect!!!!! Also pay attention to how the owner of the establishment or manager reacts to negative reviews. The impression of Cochem was ruined and the evening too. Good luck ! P.S.: The waiter, who is also the owner, pay attention to how he reacts to negative messages! We don't need the red carpet, we waited 42 minutes and didn't even get a drink! These are not establishment standards. We saw that you worked diligently, but you couldn’t cope with your work. Your reactions show how you feel about your visitors and criticism. We didn't have a reservation and had to wait a bit until a table became available and it was definitely worth it. As soon as we ordered the food came very quickly and was delicious. Highly recommended after a liqueur on the house and hiking tips ;)

I had dinner there with my husband and this restaurant was recommended to us based on the reviews. Service was great. Food was ordered. Drinks came immediately. Great up to this point. We got table neighbors who had 2 hinds with them. I love animals. I have cats at home. But I ask you, dogs hair in their food? Nope, it doesn't have to be that way. Ordered steak and ate it. Even with flying hairs in the air. I asked the waitress if it was allowed. She proudly said yes animals were allowed there. As I said, I love animals and have nothing against dogs, but animals don't belong in a restaurant. My opinion.

Zom Stüffje – Good food with charm and small deductions Overall, we had a good meal at Zom Stüffje in Cochem. We had the Wiener-style schnitzel and the “Stüffje’s cream steak” – both were tasty and well made. The schnitzel didn't seem greasy to us, even though that was criticized in some reviews. The prices are according to the tourist location. A small negative point: side salads cost extra - not dramatic, but worth mentioning. The guest room is rustic and has real nostalgic charm - in a positive sense. There is also an extension, which also has its charm, but the original restaurant exudes a lot of atmosphere. Due to the limited space, a reservation is recommended - we were lucky to get a table spontaneously. The owner is friendly but also very talkative. If you don't like that, you might feel disturbed - we found it rather pleasant. Conclusion: A charming, personal restaurant with good cuisine and a few little peculiarities that you should know.

Delicious, honest, simple German dishes at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, online reservations aren't possible. The staff is great! We were happy to wait half an hour outside the door until a table became available...seems to be THE restaurant in the area.

Whether you are a local or a visitor, if you want incredibly delicious German food, served quickly, with great service, this is the place for you! I dropped by with a group of 8 as we were in town for a river cruise. We were able to get seating out side and every single person loved their food. Good job, Dennis and team!

We were on a river cruise and decided to have dinner in Cochem. They kindly accommodated the 8 of us without a reservation. The wait staff was as amazing as the food. We all ordered something different, and all loved our dinner. It was well-cooked and flavorful. Dennis was a great host. So glad we found this place in one of the oldest houses in town. We all can't stop talking about how good it was.

The place was half full. However, owner is very busy with apparently regular customers. After 40 minutes of waiting, not even a drink. He did ask people next to us (whom he apparently knew) if they wanted something to drink. And they got it within a minute. So no idea if the food is good. Certainly not the customer friendliness. After 40 minutes we left and had a delicious meal at the Alt Cochem hotel nearby. And again, the place was half full, not busy.

The service was very friendly and quick, and we felt at home! The location is central, right in the city center, and the food is also good. The decor is beautifully quaint, especially compared to other restaurants in the city!

Food was really good, service was a little slow but we were also sitting outside. Server dropped a glass but took a long time before it was cleaned up. For the food I would fully recommend especially the steak.

We came here on a recommendation and were disappointed. The service was very nice, but the food really wasn't tasty. It was only lukewarm, the schnitzels were dripping with fat and tasted as if they had been prepared in advance and then just briefly tossed in oil to warm up. There were real blobs of grease on the plates. The Balkan-style sauce was like a canned tomato sauce with a few fresh tomatoes, some parsley, and a few strips of bell pepper. The hunter's sauce tasted of nothing. If it hadn't included mushrooms, it could have been a "can-do" sauce. The restrooms aren't particularly clean either. There are spiders and webs in the corners, and in the women's restroom, the lid on the hygiene bucket next to the toilet is missing. You wouldn't want to see used toilet paper! In the men's restroom, the urinal flushes very poorly.

Extremely real and authentic restaurant. The #1 place to go, this wa exactly what we were looking for. For me this made the trip complete and the food was the best we've had in Germany in general. Just go here don't doubt and enjoy the hospitality and good food, great service and great waiter too, he was very funny. He took a picture of himself when we asked for a group foto so we will never forget and hopefully we will see him again when we go back to Cochem! Thanks for the experience!

The two of us came in without a reservation and were immediately warmly welcomed at the door! We had a comfortable table for two and both drinks (wine and beer) were taken and served promptly. The food (sausage stomach and "the rolls") were brought out after a short time, which you need to look around anyway. It was super delicious and, above all, the whole evening was fun! We went to eat here because it was recommended by others, and it was worth it. The food is good, you get large portion and price wise there is nothing to say about it. They provide enough options for everyone to have a normal dinner there, including vegetarians. On this particular day there was only one waiter working, but the service was excellent. The waiter talked with everyone, was enthusiastic and really really nice. He served everyone with a smile and a laugh while working pretty hard. The atmosphere is amazing. There are all sorts of wall and window decorations like a mural of Cochem carved out of wood, or different stained glass windows with depictions of what seemed to be grape harvesting/wine making related. The overall look of the inside feels like it could be an old time tavern.

That's what you call event gastronomy. Order came quite quickly, it was Carnival Saturday, it was very busy and the staff seemed to be sick. Nevertheless, the service was calm and nice. Then while clearing away the knife attack on my wife (knife dropped). Was an accident. Nothing happens. Then the S.W.A.T. Use (carnival) at the neighboring table, where some things were broken. I already mentioned sick staff. The atmosphere is really worth a visit and despite the adverse circumstances everyone was very friendly and tried hard. Only the vegetarian offer urgently needs to be revised. The cauliflower cheese medallions are yucky. My rum steak was on point. We will definitely come back again on our next stay in Cochem.

The food tastes very good. The service is great, we didn't have to wait long for our food. You sit very comfortably in an old half-timbered house, which creates a nice ambience. Highly recommended!

We stayed with you on February 14th, 2025 on the recommendation of our hotel (Hotel Villa Via) and were by no means disappointed. As soon as we entered we were greeted with a funny saying from Dennis. Luckily he found a place for the two of us. And kindly he only made a few jokes about the fact that we wanted to drink non-alcoholic wheat. Joking aside. It was a great evening as the waiters all served with fun and a few cheeky jokes. The food came quickly and was really tasty! We had a lot of fun with you, which was of course also thanks to our host Dennis. Thanks for that.

A very delicious traditional restaurant! At first glance, the portion may not look big, but it’s actually quite good and very delicious! The service attitude is very good. The 6 of us didn't make a reservation. Even during the busiest dinner time, the boss still received us warmly!

We are studying abroad in Luxembourg from the States and wanted to travel somewhere chill in wine country. Our friends recommended this place which was right next to our airbnb. I got a bratwurst with a cream sauce and potatoes and it was SOOOO GOOD!! Highly recommend!

I am studying in Luxembourg from Chicago, and this was our first stop in town! The food was amazing and the servers were so helpful as we did not know much about German food. Would come back again for sure!
