It makes a high-quality impression, the conditions are courteous, the prices are sometimes unusual, but perfectly acceptable due to the handmade nature of the food.

We stopped here for a bite to eat before heading home. At 10 degrees Celsius, it was lovely to sit outside and people-watch. The staff were very efficient and in good spirits. The food, good traditional fare, was excellent.

Good food and very affordable. While other restaurants are very disappointing, this is a great place to eat in Cochem. Friendly people, good service, reasonable prices (you do pay more than you're used to in Germany, but that really depends on the location), and the food was delicious!

Unfortunately, one star is still too many. We came here because of the reasonably good Google reviews. Unfortunately. We each ordered a champignon schnitzel with fries. After a while, we were served a carelessly prepared meal. The fries were soggy, the meat tasted sweet and was still fried in ancient fat. The champignon sauce, which was supposed to be at least a sauce, was completely watery. Any packet sauce would have more flavor. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough. It took less than an hour before we had to enjoy the entire meal again, upside down. Never again!

Two of us went to this restaurant and relied on the Google reviews and were more than disappointed. We received a friendly welcome and got the last table for two people. The staff were friendly and we were served quickly. We both opted for a Champion schnitzel with fries. The food came relatively quickly. When the food was in front of us, we didn't find it very appetizing. The schnitzel looked weird from the breading and the sauce slapped on it. The first bite was horrible. The schnitzel tasted sweet, really weird. I left half of it. The fries were soggy and too crispy. On the way to the hotel, I noticed that I wasn't feeling well. And unfortunately, I had to throw up several times later.

Good menu, excellent food, beautiful location. Staff extremely friendly.

The food is not nicely presented

I really like the schnitzel with mushroom sauce; we ordered it both times we came here. However, this time it took them over an hour to bring the dish, and they didn't even offer a cover charge to mitigate the negative experience.

We were scared by reviews of neighboring restaurants. This one got 4 stars, and it was. The food was good. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere outside was good. Inside could be better. It lacks detail. 4/5 stars overall! They no longer accept debit cards for orders over 40 euros. You have to pay in cash. Money laundering 🙏👍🙏👍

We ordered two dishes of the day, venison stew and roast pork, but they didn't leave us with a particularly memorable experience. The place felt very touristy.

So it's what you'd expect: homemade, good quality food. Almost home-cooked, without any frills. The price-performance ratio is top-notch. Mashed potatoes, not from a packet, top-notch sauerkraut, meat is top-notch. Rump steak is perfectly cooked. Really good. The ambience is older, but everything is clean and tidy. Yes, there's no salt on the fries, which is why it's on the table. You pay for mayo and ketchup everywhere. At Lake Constance you sometimes pay twice as much. My rump steak was easily over 200g when fried. I found it simple but really good. I've seen schnitzel and pork steaks, and they were top-notch too 👍 . The person who works there is friendly and always up for a joke.

A lovely restaurant, located right on the waterfront with a lovely outdoor terrace, invites you to linger. Service is friendly and super fast. Unfortunately, the food is entirely convenience or frozen, including the burger patty, as you can clearly see in the picture. This is particularly incomprehensible, considering the owner also runs a butcher shop just down the street. When asked about it, the friendly waitress immediately admitted it and offered a shot on the house as an apology. Unfortunately, the really nice waitress doesn't hide the fact that anyone can make the food better at home.

We went to Hans Noss today and wanted to enjoy a leisurely coffee and cake. Instead, we were told that it was "dinner time" and that we were only allowed to stay if we ordered a full meal. When we refused, we were simply kicked out. Very unfriendly and absolutely not customer-oriented – I've never experienced anything like it. We definitely won't be back.

Seating was great, food was excellent. Very touristy, though. Paying is also a bit unusual; for orders under 40 euros, cash is required.

The restaurant is well-frequented. The food was good, but could have been improved. The mushroom cream sauce was from a packet. That's unacceptable at €22.90. The service, however, was very attentive and customer-oriented.

What a great place! Very reasyprices and good food make for an excellent spot. Add in a tremendous staff team, offering speed, efficiency, charm and humour, and you've got somewhere special. Traditional German favourites, like Flammkuchen and Venison casserole, well cooked and served in generous portions. Great!

We had a drink and a snack, and it was really fun and enjoyable. Definitely do it if you're in the area.

This is one of our go to spots when hitting up the Mosel area. They are open year round! It's also one of the few places where you can get sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. The menu has something for everyone and it certainly is ideal for children of all ages. The staff can be a bit grumpy and the wine is rather expensive for the region. The inside is very dated, but that's our favorite part. It's super cozy and we love going when it's freezing outside. Get the goulash soup to warm up!

Typical tourist shop, the tarte flambée was frozen, and the feta salad wasn't anything special either, so it was a huge disappointment! I can't even imagine what foreign guests think of German cuisine after eating there...

Unfortunately, we were guided by good online reviews and were disappointed. The value for money here isn't quite right. The quality of the food was okay, but not outstanding, and the portions were too small for the price. Furthermore, they advertise a view of the Moselle from the terrace, but all you get is a view of countless cars and motorcycles on the road between the restaurant and the Moselle riverbank. The noise level is accordingly high. Overall, a disappointment, one we regret in retrospect. On our next visit to Cochem, we'll look for a restaurant on the other side of the river, where it's much quieter and, in some places, looked very inviting and cozy.

We chose this restaurant because of the many positive reviews, especially compared to other restaurants with significantly lower ratings. Unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. The only positive aspect was the friendly staff. The servers were really very nice and attentive. Everything else was disappointing. The drinks were served without ice. There was neither a small side salad nor an appealing or loving presentation of the food. Everything seemed carelessly thrown onto the plate. The food tasted mediocre at best. The fries were unsalted and sometimes soft. The breading on the schnitzel wasn't crispy. The portions were also rather small. Overall, the quality of the food didn't match the price at all; the value for money wasn't adequate. What was particularly annoying was that they charged extra for ketchup and mayonnaise, even more than we actually received. Unfortunately, this seems like a deliberate rip-off. My partner's burger also didn't taste great. Overall, we unfortunately cannot recommend a visit and will not be coming back.

Ate the schnitzel. Tasty but meager. You get McDonald's fries and no salad with your dish. The size of the schnitzel was reasonable. For a big hunger you should order 2 portions.

On the way to nl. Even something to eat. Simple menu but despite the crowds, the terrace was full, excellent help.

Exceptionally friendly and attentive service

We had a beef burger with cranberries and topped with Brie, as well as homemade pork knuckle in aspic with vegetable sauce and fried potatoes. Both were delicious! Only the fries were thin and dry. Country potatoes or thicker fries would have been better. All in all, though, I highly recommend this place :)

Stopped here for lunch. Hamburger with fries and a schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce. No vegetables or salad as a side dish and no fries sauce either. Chairs were great! (terrace) Toilets inside were very neat (down stairs). I even found a handy map inside (free to take) of Cochem, super handy!

The tarte flambée was incredibly delicious, something we've never tasted before (really good bacon), as was the meat on the platter. Incredibly tender, and you can taste the freshness. The staff were extremely friendly! We'll be back.
