Very tasty meal. Service and operation top. Price performance class. Highly recommended.

Very tasty food and drinks. I had a hot chocolate and chocolate brownie with ice cream. It is neat, and we were kindly helped by the employee. The atmosphere was a little less, but it was tidy, clean and tidy.

Typical German menu. Still three vegetarian dishes. Dishes are standard without vegetables. Service is friendly. Reservations are recommended.

Food was tasteful, and really German with large amounts. I asked the waitress whether I could get the chicken salad in a smaller plate. That was no problem. The waitress clearly informed us in a friendly manner that the restaurant would close early due to Christmas holidays. Which also meant that not all menu dishes were available anymore. No problem for us. The atmosphere was ok. Kind of canteen alike. We can recommend the hirsch goulash and the fish plates.

The food was very good, including a 360g gypsy schnitzel and a normal Jägeschnitzel.

We have been here this year and last year. And remains the best place in the area for German food. With specially made ingredients from the region. The staff is super friendly and they take your questions or changes to the food into account very well. Super nice cozy place and good surroundings. Definitely eat here more often if the opportunity allows.

Very helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere

German food is not my thing. To me, it lacks a lot of flavor. This place blew my expectations out of the water. It was SO good. We had the mushroom snitzel. It was seasoned to perfection and had just the right texture. We also had the apple cake dessert which was heavenly. I love how it wasn’t overly sweet. Although there was a language barrier, service was great and super attentive. The atmosphere was super cute with all the little decorations. Would definitely come back again.

Everything was top. Staff attentive and very friendly. Points deducted because there was puree out of the bag. But for me it wasn't that bad.

Despite the location on the promenade, very good value for money. The in-house butcher's shop is clearly noticeable in terms of quality. Can't even begin to understand the 1-star reviews. Anyone who complains about “watery mashed potatoes” at the Schlachtplatte and doesn’t seem to notice that it’s the sauerkraut stock should leave it alone. We ate really well and the service was also very friendly.

The display was great with cakes, But unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the price or taste, it wasn't a small jug of café too expensive for my taste

Very nice real German restaurant with good food. Staff is very friendly. We were with our 1 year old daughter and the staff provided top service.

If you like meat, you'll get your money's worth here 😉. My girlfriend had the schnitzel with fried potatoes and I had the pork knuckle. Both are perfectly prepared and extremely tasty. The service was a bit more rustic, but friendly and humorous - exactly my taste. Reservations on the weekend are worth it.

Price-performance not justified. Schnitzel had cartilage, fried potatoes and tomato soup tasted like ready-made food. The wine was delicious.

Staff was friendly and everything went quickly. Price-performance is okay. The prices are not overpriced. Tarte flambée €13, burger €17, rump steak €27. The burger was tasty, the vegetarian tarte flambée is spicy but otherwise good. The rump steak at the next table looked medium rare. However, there is no spring guide. The restaurant door stays open at all times. So there can be a drag in the front interior.

Finally we found a restaurant with good food, pleasant and quick service and a nice atmosphere. We had the burger with brie and cranberries and the pork knuckle (Eisbein). Both dishes tasty. Also sufficient vegetarian options available.

Beer for over 6 euros and the Jägerschnitzel (without salad) with a few fries for almost 20 euros are prices that you actually only pay if the quality is reasonably good. But that also left a lot to be desired. The waiter was very courteous and professional. Cochem is generally a rip-off place. Wonder why?

Very central location in Cochem on the Moselle. We were lucky that we got a table. The service was very nice and the food was delicious. Highly recommended is the omelette with fried potatoes, as well as pike-perch, the schnitzel with fries and the knuckle of pork. Although there was a misunderstanding in communication regarding the side salad, this issue was resolved very quickly. We'd love to come back!

We wanted to go out for a hearty regional meal on the last day of our vacation and were unfortunately disappointed. The friendly service couldn't hide the carelessly dished out food. Schnitzel tough, breading sticky and fries not seasoned. The slaughter platter was okay except for the unseasoned and too watery mashed potatoes. The best thing was the black pudding (if you like that kind of thing).

Excellent schnitzel (everything else too), super attentive service staff. But: food selection limited, wine selection too. Prices comparatively still. And; no card payment!

The coffee is tasty but clearly too expensive. Just a tourist hotspot. Cake works too. Unfortunately everything was too hectic due to the rush. If you don't care, you can enjoy being showered here 🙄🤔

You were greeted and it stayed that way. After almost 20 minutes no one came by and there wasn't much going on in the restaurant.

The service was extremely friendly and attentive - you immediately felt welcome. I particularly liked the cake: fresh, juicy and simply heavenly! A wonderful selection that offers something for every taste. A great place to spend a cozy time while enjoying delicious cake. Absolutely recommended!

Ate Flammkuchen. Very tasty. The clerk dropped something and did not handle it properly towards the customer. Many smoking guests. Spoils the taste of food and drinks.

The atmosphere is rather bland and old-fashioned. The food is nothing special. You get the impression that people tend to cook with cheap food here. We won't be coming back.

So far I've enjoyed everything I've ordered. If there are a lot of visitors, the service may take a little longer. But that is also normal. Price/performance is good.

Very quick service and the food was very good and plentiful. The pork knuckle was served with mustard from the local historic mustard mill. 😋 Price/performance are completely fine.

You order apple strudel with coffee and you get this and then the man is sucked out of you for 15 euros. I don't like that.

Delicious pastries, but pricey and the staff is in a hurry

The service was initially very friendly, including to the children. When it finally came to pay, things got strange... So we asked for the bill. When we mentioned the obviously excessive amount of money that didn't fit the bill, the mood changed. It was all in black and white. But instead of dealing with it objectively, the money was literally thrown at our feet with the justification: "I don't feel like discussing it." Here the sound makes the music and in retrospect we regret leaving our money AND tips there.

In my opinion the battle plate was way too small. You imagine something different under a battle plate, especially for the price👎👎👎

The location is good but the food is not recommended (with the exception of the tarte flambée). Unfortunately, burgers and salads are not worth the price.

We ate there three out of six evenings in Cochem. We met super friendly staff every evening, ate delicious food and never had to wait long for the food. Among other things, we tried burgers, schnitzel and fish, all of which are highly recommended. Attentive service, despite the large crowds. We'll be back. Little food for a lot of money. My other half got food poisoning after a tomato cream soup

At first everything was fine. Food was ok, but when paying it turned out that there was an organized deduction. The waiter tried to charge us double and triple. After requesting the invoice we were looked at stupidly and it turned out that we were right. The waitress became very aggressive and ended up handing over our remaining money out of her own pocket. Customer fraud is definitely the order of the day here

Het terras is zo 'volgepropt' met tafeltjes dat je schouder aan schouder met de gasten aan de andere tafel zit. De gerechten zijn acceptabel, maar ook niet meer dan dat: voor Duitse begrippen beperkte porties, vlakke smaak, eerder een snelle hap dan een 'culinaire beleving'. Terrassen in Cochem zijn belachelijk duur, en zo ook dit terras/restaurant. Bediening is vriendelijk.

We just had a drink outside there. The drinks were cold, came quickly and the prices were fairly normal.

Great location. The staff does their best to get you onto the terrace. In my opinion, too 'made' friendly. Now another training course to make you a little more personal towards customers. Otherwise good!!

When I read the address, I imagine myself looking at the Moselle. But unfortunately I look at other restaurant guests and the parking lot. If the view of the Moselle was disappointing, I had at least hoped for a good meal, but this hope was also disappointed. The food wasn't good for my taste. The service was satisfactory.

Nice spot on a square in Cochem. Drink prices are quite high, but that is logical in a touristy place like Cochem. On the other hand, a large spaghetti ice cream is fine.

The food and ambience were great, the service only started setting up the tables very late when all the people came. This left the employees a little overwhelmed.

The food tastes good and the staff is extremely friendly. Prices are reasonable. I would eat here again at any time.

We ate here yesterday because German schnitzels were available here and this restaurant got good reviews on Google. We thought the food itself was good, but not as great as some reviews would lead you to believe. The schnitzel was fine and had a nice coating, but not the best I've ever eaten. The fries were also fine but simple. We had to ask for mayonnaise, which should actually be standard. The hamburger also tasted great. We were missing some salad or something on the plate, vegetables were not present. The portion sizes were fine. The atmosphere and service were just ok too. Nothing wrong with that, but nothing special either. You are almost on the Moselle, which is of course nice and convenient. The service does what it has to do and you don't have to wait very long for your food. We would recommend this restaurant, you can eat well here, but you should not expect culinary delights.

Randomly walked in for something to eat and rarely made a better choice. Delicious food (several gluten-free options for my wife), friendly service and a nice, authentic atmosphere. I can recommend it to everyone to come here.

Very good price-performance ratio

Good food, good view, very nice service, even our dog was brought fresh water. The restaurant is not in the city center and is therefore not that crowded. The prices are accordingly cheap. Insider tip if you want to have peace and quiet while eating, but still want to sit by the Moselle

Great restaurant between some tourist traps. Absolutely honest. Actually a butcher shop. Brilliant meat dishes. The pork knuckle is highly recommended. Rustic, simple, affordable but great.

Wanted to charge extra for more hot water to top up the tea :(

We ate the slaughter platter and the salad with Camembert. The sausage and meat were good - black pudding, liver sausage, piece of pancetta and piece of ribs. The side dishes, however, are subpar. They destroyed the whole court. How can you offer mashed potatoes of this quality in a RESTAURANT these days? Just mixed powder. Otherwise I'm not very critical, but the dish still costs just under 19 euros. Unfortunately it is unrelated. The salad was ok, but a bit small. At just under 14 euros, the price is also borderline. Service was great, friendly and attentive despite being busy.

The place is correct and clean, the service is rather slow and I wouldn't say friendly but not unfriendly either. The food is good but if you don't care about it, it's all extras, for that price we have eaten better in Cochem.

We didn't eat anything there (hence only 4 stars) only drank Pinot Blanc. Delicious. Nice staff, quick service.

Fijne ervaring, vooral voor het eten. Wij namen elk een schnitzel met champignonsaus, heerlijk! We namen er een radler en een weissbier bij, paste perfect. Prijs-kwaliteit super! Zeer lekker dessert!

We were very happy with the quality of the food and drinks. The service was very attentive and very friendly. There were two points of criticism for me that I would still like to mention. 1. Personally, the portion (salmon burger with fries) was too small for me. 2. The beer here is too expensive in my opinion (50-80 cents more than in other restaurants in Cochem)! The evening here was still nice and we would come back.
