⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Zoi in Saarlouis – a culinary mini-vacation with a guaranteed full stomach! 🇬🇷 I came, I saw – and was conquered by the Minotaur Plate. And the tzatziki was divine (Apollo himself would have asked for seconds). The service? So attentive I almost wondered if I'd been secretly adopted. My companions devoured lamb chops, baked gyros, and the Minotaur Plate as well – we were practically ready to call for a break. Atmosphere: beautiful, cozy, almost too nice to leave. Verdict: If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. 10/10 – I'd go back in a heartbeat! 😋🍷

Expectations not met. Unfortunately. The appetizer was good. The main courses were okay. The gourmet salad with beef fillet – well, let's just say it was disappointing! Guys, this could be better. Pictures...! The toilet was dirty. There were cobwebs behind the door.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Not only are the prices really high, but what's served is far from what you'd expect. The tzatziki is a very poor ready-made product, as is the "gyro." It tastes and resembles the frozen pan-fried gyros you'd find at discount stores. The side fries were very small, and the side salad also costs extra.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, it was very loud, as there were many large tables set up. A relaxed meal with some conversation wasn't possible. Very friendly service, but a little more staff would have been helpful. We'll try the outdoor area again in the summer. Update: Really delicious and much quieter today.

We were at Zoi with a group of 11 people on December 8th. The welcome was friendly and the table was well chosen. The ambiance was truly appealing and inviting. The service was a bit slow. We had to ask for our attention several times for drinks. The food was 50/50: the starters were really good, the main courses were oversalted in places, and the price-performance ratio wasn't good. I had to be careful when paying and miscalculate, otherwise I would have been charged €10 more, despite the tip. In conclusion, we had a lovely evening, but we would have preferred a bit more service.

Beautiful on the outside – disappointing on the inside. We had hoped for more, but were sadly disappointed. The service was inattentive: We had to ask for cutlery and napkins ourselves, were rarely noticed on our own, and had to call for staff several times. It's a shame – because with a little more attention, we certainly would have ordered more drinks. Positive: The appetizer was really good. But that was about it. The main courses – a salad with zander and salmon fillets, and pasta with pork medallions – weren't convincing. The salad seemed carelessly presented and consisted mostly of raw vegetables, which tasted more like a cheap snack. (See photo) The zander fillet contained several bones – two or three are forgivable, but nine are the end of the fun. In that case, it shouldn't be sold as a fillet. The pork medallions were tough, dry, and significantly overcooked. Particularly annoying: The sauce contained generous chunks of celery, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. Since I don't like the taste of celery (it's no problem when overcooked in sauces), the plate unfortunately remained. Had I known this beforehand, I wouldn't have ordered the dish in the first place. We finally asked to speak to the owner, who listened to our criticism but immediately justified it with staffing shortages and "unsuitable staff" – including the statement that he would soon "lay off some of them." We found this unprofessional and unpleasant. As a small apology, he offered us an ouzo or espresso, which we gratefully accepted – only to find it on the bill. (See photo) Unfortunately, even this final impression couldn't salvage the overall impression. Conclusion: Good starter, the rest was unfortunately disappointing. And when even the chef isn't convincing, it's hard to come back again. Absolutely not worth €100!

Very friendly, warm, and uncomplicated service, despite the hassle WE caused with first being outside and then being inside (wasp attack 🙆🏼‍♀️😅). Very friendly owners with a sense of humor and very good food, which was served very quickly (in keeping with the German mentality and contrary to the Greek serenity of "σιγά σιγά" 😉). The portions were very generous, so unfortunately there was no room for the highly advertised dessert, which I would have really loved to try. To put it briefly, I was disappointed because I'd kept my stomach empty all day and my expectations (compared to other Greek restaurants) were very high! I had booked a table for four for 8 a.m. on a Wednesday. We sat on the terrace because it was still light at that time. Thank goodness I had ordered the small and very good starter (which I ate in the dark). The salad, however, was anything but divine and arrived at the same time as the terrace lighting and the main course. This arrived after a good hour and was unfortunately cold (probably from being left standing somewhere for a while). The portion ultimately didn't convince me either. "Well," I thought, let the ouzo make up for it... Conclusion for ME, anyway: Price, quality, and service were unsatisfactory that evening, so there was no tip and only 2 stars!

The starters are great... I can only recommend them to everyone... my main course was good... just what you know... I'd rather order 2-4 starters next time I'm there... the service was nice and funny... but the organization needs to be rethought... we sometimes had to wait a long time for drinks and paying for them was also a test of patience... but overall it was a nice evening and what was most important to me... our dog was allowed with us ☺️

We were there yesterday on Easter Monday with the whole family. It was excellent - I have rarely experienced such good Greek cuisine. The mezedes in particular are very fresh and taste really good. The ambience is great - the vaults have been cleverly handled and created a chic yet cozy atmosphere. The service was very attentive and the children were also warmly welcomed. I have a clear recommendation.

They arrived about 40 minutes before us and didn't have any drinks. When I asked why they weren't drinking, they said no one had been there yet. We also sat for about half an hour without anyone coming. A request from the counter. The answer to whether self-service was introduced was no. Then things went faster. My impression: the restaurant urgently needs more staff for the legwork. In service. If improvements are not made and waiting times are shortened, things are going in the wrong direction. It's actually a shame. However, the staff who served us tried very hard. But two people for a full shop of this size is simply not enough. We didn't see more than two people serving at the table. Maybe even cases of illness. May be anything. But then jumpers are needed.

Went there for the first time yesterday. The atmosphere is simply beautiful, you immediately feel very comfortable and the staff is courteous and friendly. However, there is a huge shortage of staff. The restaurant was full and 4 employees couldn't handle it, which we noticed because the waiting time was far too long. My brother-in-law ordered a grilled plate with lamb and received the plate without lamb. Although we had to wait more than an hour after the starter. The “small piece” of lamb came later. The food was really good, but it wasn't enough for us to eat there again.

Never again Zoi Saarlouis. The service was subpar and, given the prices quoted, just disappointing. A shortened map was the cherry on the so-called cake. We were neither served regularly nor were any food requests taken into account, as you were only allowed to order what was on the shortened and absolutely ridiculous menu. For us, the visit was a complete disappointment and we will in no way recommend the restaurant.

Wir waren hier am 2. Weihnachtstag, meine Mama und ich. Ich muss sagen, wir mögen das Restaurant. Wir sind oft im Jahr hier, meistens mit mehreren Leuten und meistens im Außenbereich. Uns gefällt es hier, wir mögen die Küche und schätzen den Service. Heute haben wir eine ganz schlechte Erfahrung gemacht, leider. Vor längerer Zeit habe ich für mich und meine Mama (beide verwitwet) einen Tisch für 2 Personen reserviert. Wir hatten lediglich den Anspruch an Weihnachten ein paar schöne Stunden in schöner Atmosphäre zu genießen. Der uns zugewiesene Tisch war eine Katastrophe. Eingeklemmt zwischen zwei Gesellschaften hatten wir wechselweise den Popo eines Bediensteten oder eines Gastes über dem Teller schweben. Wenn es nicht der Popo war, war es der Ärmel einer Jacke eines Gastes. Ein derart schreckliches Weihnachtsessen hatten wir noch nie. Auch wenn wir nur zu zweit waren, haben wir doch entsprechend Geld da gelassen und es macht mich wütend, als 2er-Tisch so abwertend behandelt zu werden. Auch wir haben es verdient, ein gemütliches, entspanntes Weihnachtsessen zu haben, wir haben den gleichen Preis bezahlt, wie die übrigen Gäste. Ich habe mich mehrfach beschwert, ohne dass es jemanden großartig interessiert hätte. Nicht, dass wir darauf angewiesen wären, aber der Espresso hätte durchaus auf's Haus gehen können. Meine Konsequenz aus diesem schrecklichen Mittagessen: Wir werden die Besuche, auch mit mehreren Personen, sehr überdenken. Das ZOI ist ein Lokal, in dem aufgrund der Preisgestaltung nicht unbedingt der Bär steppt, daher sollte man Gäste an Weihnachten nicht derart verprellen!!!

The service was very nice, the dessert was a dream. The wine was great, although a bit expensive. All in all, a perfect restaurant visit, I would love to come back.

Well, the “reservation system” is pretty annoying! You make a reservation and then you can wait until the operator has chosen the crème de la crème to fill the place! Of course you don't get anything like a rejection! Although you have to leave your email and cell phone number! In 2024 there are better ways to have a reservation system, but something like this just won't work.

Begonnen hat die Misere damit, dass unser reservierter Tisch nicht eingetragen war. Nach 1,5 Stunden und der Nachfrage ob wir vielleicht vergessen wurden haben wir endlich die Vorspeise erhalten, die auch sehr lecker war. Die Hauptspeise aber ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. The attentiveness of the staff and the professionalism with which our request for a table inside was treated significantly contributed to our satisfaction. The Greek trip that was recommended to us exceeded all of our expectations. The mezedes were not only excellent in terms of taste, but also visually appealing and perfectly portioned. We were particularly impressed by the fact that the dishes were served without the usual film of oil, which made the dishes very digestible. The non-alcoholic ouzo that we were served between courses was a successful surprise and tasted excellent without making us feel unwell the next day. The main courses continued this positive impression. The beef fillet was buttery tender and the lamb was perfectly cooked, both of exceptional quality that we have rarely experienced in Greek restaurants. The evening was rounded off with a delicious dessert, which confirmed our positive overall impression. Overall, it was a wonderful evening that convinced us all that we would visit the ZOI again soon.

The only and really important thing that was good was the food. I describe service as none at all. Ambience is nice, but chairs are uncomfortable. The prices don't match the service.

We sat outside, so I couldn't comment on the fancy interior. The food was very good, both drinks and food were ready very quickly. The waiter was quick and friendly. What cost us one point in the service was that the plates for bread and herb butter were upside down on the table. It's logical to avoid contamination, but in my opinion it would be better not to cover or to have the waiter do it. We also had to pour the cola ourselves and I missed a spoon with the rice, which was served in a separate bowl. None of these are serious points, but things that are simply part of upscale gastronomy.

Leider der zweite Besuch, welcher mehr als schwierig abgelaufen ist. Unser Besuch dauerte im Restaurant über 3 Stunden. Nicht, weil wir dort so gerne saßen, sondern weil wir über 1,5 Stunden auf unser Essen warten mussten. Viele Portionen haben sich im Laufe der Zeit leider halbiert - bspw. wurden die Zucchini Chips sonst auf einem großen Teller mit Tzaziki gebracht, jetzt nur noch die Hälfte und ohne Tzaziki. Gleiches gilt für den Tzaziki selbst (kleines Schüsselchen) und für 3 Scheiben Brot mit etwas Knoblauchpaste werden hier such über 5€ verlangt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat leider enorm nachgelassen. Das Essen war leider auch nur "okay". Obwohl wir den Tisch neben der Küche hatten, war der Service kaum existent. Innerhalb der drei Stunden war dieser auch nur maximal drei Mal an unserem Tisch - das letzte Wasser haben wir noch nicht einmal erhalten!!! Hätten gerne noch Nachtisch gegessen, diesen konnten wir leider aber zeitlich nicht mehr bestellen - man weiß aber auch nicht, ob wir diesen vor Schließung des Restaurants noch erhalten hätten. Alles in allem haben wir also drei Stunden dort verbracht, hatten neben unserem Essen zwei Flaschen Wasser und drei Aperol...und das für 100€. Leider viel zu teuer für das, was dort geboten wird!

Bei unserem jüngsten Besuch im besagten Restaurant waren wir voller Vorfreude, uns von der kulinarischen Expertise verwöhnen zu lassen. Was das Essen betrifft, so könnte man sagen, dass es unseren Gaumen durchaus berührt hat, wenngleich es uns nicht ganz in die Sphären des außergewöhnlichen Geschmacks entführte. Ein wahrlich bemerkenswertes Erlebnis war jedoch die Zeitspanne, die wir in gespannter Erwartung auf unsere Mahlzeit verbrachten. Mit einer Wartezeit, die sich auf bis zu drei Stunden erstreckte, hatten wir ausreichend Gelegenheit, uns der Schönheit des Moments und der Gesellschaft des anderen hinzugeben, auch wenn ein kleiner Teil von uns insgeheim hoffte, dass diese Zeit genutzt werden könnte, um unsere kulinarischen Wünsche zu erfüllen. Was den Service angeht, so war er auf eine Art präsent, die man als subtil beschreiben könnte, fast so, als wäre er nicht vorhanden. Diese Herangehensweise an den Kundenservice hat sicherlich seinen Charme, besonders für jene, die die minimalistische Interaktion schätzen und sich nach einem Raum sehnen, in dem sie ungestört von der Außenwelt speisen können. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass unser Besuch im Restaurant eine Erfahrung war, die man nicht so schnell vergisst, geprägt von kulinarischer Mittelmäßigkeit und einer Geduldsprobe, die das Konzept der Zeit neu definierte. Es ist ein Ort, der sicherlich viele dazu inspiriert, die kleinen Dinge im Leben zu schätzen und die Kunst des Wartens zu meistern. Wir blicken mit einem Lächeln zurück und sind dankbar für die Lektionen in Geduld und die subtile Erinnerung daran, dass gutes Essen – wie so vieles im Leben – seine Zeit braucht.

Das Essen ist seinem Preis Wert! Man sollte wissen, dass das Essen ein paar Euro teurer ist als bei dem Standart Griechen aus dem Ort, dafür schmeckt man dies auch heraus. Auch das Ambiente ist sehr sauber und modern gehalten, eben mit einem Touch Kasematten. Das einzige Manko ist die Zeit die während den Bestellungen vergeht. Wir hatten fast 3 Stunden Aufenthalt für Vor-und Hauptspeise. Ein besonderes Lon spreche ich dennoch dem Service aus, welcher extrem freundlich war. Trotz den langen Wartezeiten war der Besuch ein sehr schöner Abend und empfehlenswert!

Einem einen Fitnesssalat ( steht in der Karte für 14 Euro) an Weihnachten für 21 Euro zu verkaufen und nicht mal über den Preis bescheid zu sagen....eine 6-!!!! Ich arbeite selbst in der Gastronomie und habe auch Verständnis, dass die Speisekarte an Weihnachten kleiner ist...habe aus diesem Grund auch höflich nachgefragt ob ich den Salat trotzdem bestellen kann. Es würde mir mitgeteilt es sei kein Problem. Spätestens da hätte man mich über den Preis aufklären müssen. Mein Fehler war allerdings, dass ich die Rechnung am Ende nicht kontrolliert habe ....haben noch 10 Euro Trinkgeld bekommen!!! Dumm von mir ! Zuhause bemerkte ich den Fehler auf der Rechnung. Da ich aus Hamburg komme habe ich meine Schwester gebeten das zu klären. Ohne Einsicht der Betreiber und mit dummen Ausreden hat meine Schwester den Laden verlassen.....es gibt genug und bessere Restaurants im Saarland! ZOI, NIE WIEDER !!!!

Schöne Ambiente jedoch muss man auf seine Getränke und sein Essen sehr lange warten.

Sehr leckeres griechisches Essen. Die Vorspeisenplatten sind einfach der Wahnsinn!
