The real Neapolitan pizza in Bremen! There are many Italian places and restaurants in general that offer pizza, but for quality and taste, Zio Manu is a guarantee and the only pizza place where you can always go for sure. We ordered a Diavola and a Scarola, both excellent (Diavola fantastic for those who like a spicier taste).

An evening with good food, but a disappointing experience We were looking forward to our visit, as we were already familiar with the restaurant and have always appreciated the cuisine. Once again, the food was excellent – ​​but the behavior and treatment of us as guests left a very negative impression. At the next table, there was a large group of men who talked and laughed very loudly throughout the evening. Such groups are not unusual in a restaurant – as long as they stay within reasonable limits. What was striking, however, was that this group of men, of all people, complained when my partner answered an important call at a normal volume upon our arrival. As the noise at the next table continued to rise, we politely asked the waiter to remind the guests of appropriate behavior. The response surprised us: It was the investor of the Kellogg's site and his friends – unfortunately, there was nothing they could do. This statement made it clear to us that there are clearly differences in the way guests are treated at this restaurant. The fact that our concerns were neither taken seriously nor handled neutrally was disappointing. As we left the restaurant – without dessert and without a tip – another unprofessional moment occurred: The restaurant manager accused us of playing a video with sound – which was not true. It was simply an important phone conversation at normal volume. Despite the excellent food, we will not be visiting this restaurant again in the future. Respectful behavior should be a given for all guests – regardless of who is sitting at the table.

Overly hyped, in my opinion. The pizza is delicious, no question. But I don't find it exceptional. The ambiance is theoretically nice, but the acoustics are terrible. If the next table is occupied, it's unfortunately almost impossible to have a conversation. Then I don't need to go out to eat.

This is a lovely establishment, and the service was quick to take our order, which we appreciated. I can't comment on the regular pizzas, but the vegan pizza was a disappointment. The tomato sauce lacked salt, and the vegan cheese was completely flavorless. Many pizzerias outside of Bremen show that it can be done better. Also frustrating: we had to ask multiple times before someone came so we could pay.

Best pizza in Bremen, maybe even one of the best in Germany. Well, I haven't eaten a better one yet and I've eaten one almost everywhere. But unfortunately the operators are a bit too unfriendly and unfortunately also very arrogant. But that shouldn't stop anyone from treating themselves to a pizza there.

The four of us came with high expectations due to the many good reviews with the tenor “Best pizza in Bremen” and were looking forward to a delicious pizza. I had the pizza parma, actually my favorite pizza. Here I was disappointed - the edge of the pizza was much too wide and heavy, there was no crispiness, neither in the edge nor in the base. There was too thick a layer of melted mozzarella on the very thin base, so you couldn't taste the soft base and everything just tasted like rubbery mozzarella. The “Parma ham” was very salty, the small tomatoes in a homeopathic dose tasted of nothing. The Parmesan was not grated and only tasted of salt. I ate almost half of the pizza and when asked if I wanted to take the rest home, I politely declined. For 17.50 euros I expect better craftsmanship and better quality of ingredients. My first and last visit.

Stopped by spontaneously 2 weeks ago and had something to eat. I think it's great that there are 2 terrace sections, one with service and one without so self-service. Pizza was very tasty, but a bit too few toppings. And the price is upscale, a bit too expensive for a pizza. In general, the staff was nice and the atmosphere by the river was nice.

I ate the best pizza of my life tonight! The original Italian pizza was absolutely delicious and authentic. The dough was perfectly baked, fresh and of the highest quality. But not only was the pizza excellent, the employees were also extremely nice and friendly. We will definitely be back and can only recommend this pizzeria! Very happy again!

Good food at a high price. The two of us were there at lunchtime at 1200. Both pizzas were very tasty. The service was tip top, fork fell from the table, a fresh fork came straight away without anyone saying anything 👍🏻 Restaurant is a bit more expensive for lunch. 2 people €40 for 2 pizzas with a drink.

The atmosphere there is very modern and certainly impressive, but we didn't really like the character of an incredibly loud canteen. Everything seemed hush hush and the pizza was pretty sloppy. However, what put us off the most was the service. Apparently there is little time for the guests. Our conclusion: It's not all bad, but in our opinion you can't find a comfortable Italian meal here.

We discovered this restaurant spontaneously and didn't regret our visit. Despite not having a reservation, we received a friendly welcome and were able to get a table. We opted for two pizzas, which were brought promptly and were not only delicious but also made with the freshest ingredients. We had a great meal and will definitely be back.

After reading the comments here, I tried to make a reservation for an appointment in 10 days. I found an appointment online and made the reservation. The first email said the request had been received. The second email said "no longer available." A good hour later, I checked the appointments and, of course, the appointment was still listed as available...

I've been there for the second time now and the bad impression from the first time was even bettered. Ok, the restaurant was full and we had to sit at the tables at the entrance with self-collection, no problem. But then there were lukewarm starters... and after a long wait, 4 pizzas that weren't even warm anymore, in fact they were actually cold. The edges of 2 pizzas were very burnt. We didn't feel like complaining on site, but given the prices I expect something different.

This is absolutely average. It's nothing special. The starter plate consisted almost entirely of ready-made products. The antipasto vegetables were definitely not freshly prepared. The pizzas are delicious, but it's definitely not a real paper-thin, crispy Italian pizza. The restaurant is very clean and the bathrooms were also very hygienic and well furnished. The biggest problem is the volume. It's a hall and you definitely shouldn't eat there with several people - as we unfortunately did. You can't have a conversation at a big table. The second big problem is the waiters. Our waiter was able to pour a Prosecco properly. He was also very unfriendly. Unfortunately we won't be coming back again!

Leider war es das schlechteste Geburtstagsessen, was ich je hatte: Pizzen matschig und nahezu geschmacklos, Rotweis eiskalt. Espresso und Grappa ok, aber wie alles andere überteuert. Das Lokal ist eine ehemalige Fabrikhalle, sehr laut und ohne Charme. Das Personal ist unmotiviert (jedenfalls was die Gäste angeht), man fühlt sich schlicht nicht willkommen. Hat insgesamt mit der anderswo üblichen mediterranen Gastfreundlichkeit absolut nichts zu tun, leider.

We were there for the second time and can't understand how a restaurant like this can hire such a waitress. A little serious and not so open would be more appropriate. Why do you allow a brash waitress who even directly asks for a tip to wear such tight leggings and a tied open blouse? Totally inappropriate. Is this the restaurant's trick? We won't be coming back.

By far the tastiest Neapolitan pizza here in Bremen. A little higher priced, but appropriate for the quality. The portions are really good too. Ate there for the first time today. Location is very spacious, staff friendly, accommodating and attentive. 2 kids had meals, 2x pasta and 1x pizza. Both absolutely sufficient for my children 👍 I can recommend eating there, but it's best to reserve in advance as it is very busy.

We liked it, a pizza a bit very black for our taste, but nice service and a good evening for us.

Unfortunately, our visit wasn't quite what we had hoped. The pizza was served to us in boxes because the staff thought we had ordered it to go - not bad, but a bit unfortunate. The bigger problem was that the pizza was cold and unfortunately the base was burnt, almost black. It's a shame, because the taste could have been good. But the highlight was the tiramisu – really delicious! Overall, I give it three stars because the restaurant can definitely do better and maybe we were just unlucky.

Fantastic! Were there from Hamburg. Really great Vermentino, unusual starters and very tasty pizzas. You can tell that every ingredient has been lovingly selected. No gimmickry with parmesan wheels etc. but real quality. There is someone with the highest standards behind the shop. The pizza “La Scarola” is simply amazing and unique. The dessert was also great. The service was very friendly and accommodating. In terms of price, we ended up with around €40 pp and that with a starter, dessert, wine and water!!! I can absolutely recommend it! Mini point of criticism: the tiramisù tasted a bit weak, I know that more intensively. I would have actually thought that it would taste as perfect and authentic as the rest. But tastes differ. Die Pizza schmeckt vergleichsweise gut jedoch ziemlich teuer, die anderen Gerichte (Nudeln, Aufläufe) schmecken sich sehr ähnlich und sind fetthaltig. Die Location ist schön und neu, nur leider vom Geräuschpegel etwas laut. Die Serviceleistung ist eher durchschnittlich, es ist merkbar, dass es eher um Geschäft und nicht um freundliche und herzliche Atmosphäre für die Gäste geht.

Yes, Puzza is great! Basically we liked the food. Points are deducted for the noise level in the restaurant. Closed society with music… Another point deduction for booking for two hours: we reserved for 8 people for 3 months. We were informed by email 24 hours in advance that we could only have the table for two hours. That doesn't work at all. It's generally not unusual, but please do so in good time!

By far the best pizza in Bremen If you want to eat a real Neapolitan pizza, this is the right place. The taste is incredibly delicious, you can tell that professionals in the field of pizza crafts are in the kitchen here. The pizzas are quite large, you will definitely get full here. Unfortunately I'm very disappointed. We had 2 different pizzas, one normal, one fried. They both weren't that great. Visually, all the dishes were really great, you worked up an appetite when you saw the pizzas on the neighboring tables while you were waiting. Unfortunately, the food ended up not being tasty at all. The top of the dough was burnt in places, but the bottom was still soft to mushy. Overall, more like a soft bread. We had to season the Parmigiani pizza a lot to get the flavor, but of course this couldn't save the soft dough. The fried pizza was a bit reminiscent of a calzone from an open market stall. It's a shame, we won't be coming back. Ambience cool, industrial, unfortunately catastrophic acoustics. Very loud. Staff was polite and quick.

Drinks too, but we would have been happy if someone had come to order more and taken empty glasses or bottles with them, as the pizza takes up a lot of space on the table. Portion is fair.

Pizza, great! Two points deducted for a bad espresso. If I explicitly order an Italian espresso, then I should refuse if it cannot be delivered. If you decide to deliver, please do so as requested! The Neapolitans in particular have a great espresso tradition and should have the highest expectations as restaurateurs. Service, please don't just process the guests.
