Delicious food, reasonable prices, good service.

I came here after traveling hundreds of miles for eel rice, and stayed for two days to eat two days in a row. The rice is soft, glutinous and fragrant, and the eel tastes good. The store is not big, and they basically serve set meals. It was not meal time when I came, so I had to wait ten minutes for the food to be served.

Very good restaurant for dinner. It's often crowded but the welcome is good, as are the dishes. Prices are affordable

We had to wait a bit but I think it was still worth it. Because it was super tasty, I especially liked the miso soup with the delicious udon noodles. The waitresses and waitresses are very friendly and nice.

This was a fine establishment; I expected better given the rep of Düsseldorf Japanese food.

My first time here and i want to go back again. Went here around August, to eat Tempura. It was so delicious! The Eel dish was delicious too. The california roll, was really authentic! I love all the food here. All i can say is, this restaurant serves their food fast and really delicious and authentic. I highly recommend this place.

We ordered gyozas, the tan tan ramen and a spicy karaage . All dishes were delicious, would highly recommend, half the miso based udons can be spicy (w/ kimchi) which was a great flavor fusion :)

As a ramen fan who was here for the first time, I can only say: creamy, aromatic broth and delicious, al dente noodles. The staff is super friendly and chats happily with each other in Japanese. Gladly again.

We were in this cafe on October 8, 2024. There were three of us and we ordered a menu. After a short wait, our food was brought to us. Unfortunately I have to say that the sushi didn't taste good at all - the rice fell apart and the soy sauce was way too salty. I would also like to mention that there were three of us, but we were not offered cutlery sets for everyone. We all had to eat from one big plate. For the food there is a 1, for the service a 2. Unfortunately we left disappointed and will probably not come back.

Only drank there, but nice service and everything was fine. There is also a 2.5 liter beer tower. Mnjamm.

Unfortunately, after so many years of the best sushi in Düsseldorf, they changed the menu. No more high end nigiri sets. Only a few rolls. The main dishes on the menu are now noodles instead of sushi and seafood. Back to their sister restaurant Kushi Tei.

We originally wanted to try the restaurant next door, but the line was too long, so we opted for this place instead. We waited in line for about 10 minutes, which wasn’t bad. I visited for lunch. Ordered seafood bowl + sea urchin topping. Probably because it was after the lunch peak, the food we ordered was delivered smoothly. I'm excited and looking forward to eating it. As I was about to start eating, I heard the voice of a Japanese waiter from around the kitchen. The volume of the voice was so loud that I was surprised by the words and language I heard. I honestly wanted to enjoy the meal, but unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy it comfortably. It was a shame because the taste was good.

Found this gem while visiting Dusseldorf on the second weekend of September. The servers were kind and spoke Japanese among themselves, the service was prompt and the food was simply amazing. I returned the following day with my travel buddy for round two and it did not disappoint. If I ever come to Dusseldorf again, I'll be happy to stop by once more.

A really highly recommended Japanese restaurant: first-class food and a nice, cozy atmosphere, which is also largely influenced by the really nice and courteous staff. A Japanese restaurant serving authentic Hokkaido-style dishes. I have eaten here several times and have been impressed every time. The menu offers a wide variety and the sushi is delicious. I had the Unagi don at Hokkaido Kitchen Zero Banchi in Dusseldorf recently. The unagi was just decent but the rice was nice, so I’d give it 7/10

Great insider tip in the middle of the usual Takumis on Immermannstrasse. Japanese waiters, very good food, authentic environment. You almost miss the smoking of the typical Izakaya. Prices absolutely affordable.

Tastes like chicken kebab with rice in the university cafeteria. But you have to pay four times for it. Actually I think the dish in the Mansa is better. 味道不如学校食堂Kebab 饭

Had the spicy miso ebi udon and yasai curry. I have a high Spice tolerance so I can't really tell if the udon was extrem spicy or not but it was yummy. The atmosphere was great and the Service nice. The prices are also okay👍🏻

BAD SERVICE! We orderd three unagi, and one came up in 5 minutes. Then we waited for another 25 minutes, all the customers around us which came later then us all got their unagi, so we asked the female waiter, she said” do you need 2 more?” So we checked what we ordered with her, then we realized the waiter didn’t got our order right. So we politely ask then that we want 3 unagi in total. Then while we waited, the next table got a new unagi( also came later then us). This made me so angry, we have waited more than 40 minutes in total. And I asked another waiter which seems like the leader. He explained that one unagi we had is the only one he got. I’m angry because he’s not only bad at what he does, but also lying about the waiter actually forgot our order. I am so disappointed about the service and all the experience that we had!

The eel in eel rice has spines.

When I took out my lunch box, I was surprised that it even came with a towel and miso soup. I was very happy with the Japanese-style consideration. I spilled the juice on the train on the way home, but thanks to the towel that was in my lunch box, everything was fine.

It’s a very delicious Japanese restaurant. I ordered the spicy miso Ebi ramen. Now that I think about it, I still think it’s delicious!

The menu has been changed. The sushi plate we had before was called Sapporo Sushi + Udon + Fried Chicken Salad Set. As always, it's hard to imagine how good the food is in Germany, especially seafood, but it's not too bad if the Japanese eat it. On the contrary, the bowl of udon is delicious. The fried chicken salad is made with sesame sauce, not the vinegar usually used in Western food or those sour salad sauces. I don't usually eat salad, but today I am competing with my daughter for food. The chef’s recommendations today (clearing inventory) include fried octopus, curry fried rice, and fried oysters. We started with the fish from Zuoba, which was delicious and reasonably priced, making it a good appetizer. But then I added fried oysters, which were very thick and tasted just like fried oysters. They probably weren’t seasoned at all, so I didn’t want to help others clear the refrigerator if I wanted to try them. . . P.s. It is illegal to eat fresh seafood in 9 countries.

I can't really say anything about the food because I didn't order that much. However, the prices were very, very good. From the side dishes. Normally it costs so expensive in other restaurants but here it honestly cost between two and six euros. The sushi was quite tasty, but I wouldn't recommend it with this root because the root was a bit hard. I couldn't chew it very well. But the avocado sushi was very tasty. the gyoza were also very tasty. The employees were very, very nice. However, I didn't really like the atmosphere because it was very narrow and a bit stuffy and there wasn't that much space.

The good- the curry udon was incredible. And the chicken karage is very well done and delicious. The bad- the sushi was not great. Okay quality. It could have been the roll selection- the fried squid special roll, but I would skip sushi next time. The worst- Ordered a large bottle of water, got a half full 750ml bottle. Just assumed it was a bottle filled with tap as some places do. Later charged for a full unopen 750ml water. Very strange? After further discussion, got charged for a 250ml water, but we were still served an open bottle of water without much understanding of what was happening. This was unprofessional and even unsanitary

I tried the eel rice at a famous Japanese restaurant in Dusseldorf and also had a set meal ~ the eel rice was very good! The eel is very plump and the rice quality is also very good! I just added a hot spring egg myself and got a little tired of it at the end of the meal... I also ordered fried chicken... The portion was small, so I don't recommend it... It just tasted like chicken... I took one bite and felt like I was diving into a chicken coop... Overall, the price is a little bit It’s expensive and you’re likely to queue up at the door for a long time, so lower your expectations... It’s worth trying if there aren’t many people lining up when you pass by.

Good service & atmosphere. Average food, in my opinion the salmon set were slightly overpriced (Lachs Set (Abend)) as the sushi taste like they are from a supermarket rather than a Japanese restaurant. But overall, it’s fine as the restaurant has the shortest queue among the rest of the restaurant on the same street.

Sushi, sashimi and fried squid was delicious. The udon broth was too salty for me and the karaage (ordered as a side dish) was a bit too dry.

Phenomenal. Düsseldorf has a big Asian community, and has a lot of restaurants that serve the cuisine. This is one of them, we had two soups and sushi and all were great. There are a lot of restaurants in this street, there is a massive line if you arrive at 12:15, either come a bit before or come for a late lunch at 2 or so. Highly recommended!

Udon noodles were super tasty. And you could mix your own chili with it. Which is very accommodating for me personally.

tasty! The eel rice is super fragrant and may be a little greasy if you eat too much. It is just right with tea. Friends with big appetites may feel that the rice is a bit lacking (there is more fish than rice), but for girls with average appetites, it is just right and the portion is on the large side. I wanted to eat again the next day but there were too many people and I couldn’t wait in line.

Came here at noon on a weekday, there was no queue and there was a seat. It was very delicious.

Why is Japanese food in Düsseldorf about 3 times more expensive than in Japan itself? 😪😭🤧 That really hurts. But in February I'm flying back to Japan and will have 3 relaxed meals of Tendon and sushi in Tsukiji Tokyo for 25 euros. I'm really looking forward to it! 🤗 And Unaju for 7 euros 😄 Wonderful!

Delicious Japanese food with Japanese staff that are friendly. Highly recommend the Miso Udon Karaage. The Unagi was also tasty. They also serve Kirin beer on tap!

The rice for curry was properly cooked, q ,and soft. The vegi curry rice was very delicious and we had a very good time in this restaurant.

Authentic Japanese cuisine, excellent quality products!

I had takoyaki, gyoza and a pork don as my main course. Before that I had Unagi Don, which at almost €25 is quite expensive despite the great taste (but it's worth it). With pork, the dish is significantly cheaper at around €17 and tastes great. The marinade is a bit sweet and is reminiscent of Korean bulgogi sauce. Optionally there is the half boiled egg - half raw is of course a matter of taste, but somehow it's part of it for me (even with soups). My little son had the Ramune lemonade - the scoop always keeps him pretty busy. Unfortunately, the menu is currently quite manageable, but given the lower occupancy compared to the neighborhood, it's easier to get a table here. Especially if you already know everything, the eel or pork Don is worth a visit.

Worst sushi experience ever: They served us sushi with leftovers and black salmon.

Given the large number of Japanese restaurants, I had to choose one at random and hope not to be disappointed. I must say I was very pleased with what I ordered. I chose the vegetarian miso udon soup, and it was really delicious. Definitely a place to recommend without hesitation.

The restaurant is actually known for its udon noodles. But we ordered two lunch sets. Once fried udon noodles and rice with mackerel, each with miso soup. Wow, the mackerel was really good. The food was really good. But what I wasn't so keen on was that the doors were open all the time and there were smokers in front of the shop, which meant that cigarette smoke from them was coming into the shop.

We got a table outside right at lunchtime and the curry udon soup with karaagee was quickly at the table. Very tasty soup and pleasantly friendly service.

Very tasty Japanese dishes that you should definitely try. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly. You should wait a bit as the restaurant is usually busy. Everything was clean and tidy. Paying with a credit card was no problem. We would love to come back 😋

The sushi from the Hokkai set was a little fishy. One croquette was thin, not crispy, and clearly frozen. Fried chicken is also not tasty at all. The kimchi (large) was on a small plate.Is this large? ! > level. I was looking forward to it, but it was quite disappointing.

A solid alternative when Takumi is too full and you're hungry. The conditions are very nice and the atmosphere is good. The food is okay. You can definitely eat it.
