Best restaurant, best food! A true explosion of flavor... I can only recommend it to everyone and hope that this restaurant will be in Cologne's city center for a long, long time! Simply fantastic, and the vegan shrimp and vegan meat options are incredibly delicious, so even non-vegetarians and non-vegans will be completely satisfied! The food is quite good, the atmosphere very cozy, but unfortunately the service leaves much to be desired. The staff seemed very annoyed and barely showed up, preferring to play on their phones… What a shame.

Excellent fusion cuisine with vegan options. The hot matcha is highly recommended, and the price-performance ratio is perfectly reasonable. Delicious food with a good, but not overwhelming, selection of all kinds of appetizers and main courses. Good stuff! :)

Both the Asian tapas and the bowls are delicious, vegan, and very filling. The homemade tea is also tasty. The atmosphere is cozy, although it can be a bit chilly at the entrance in winter and when new customers arrive. The service is polite and attentive. A free non-alcoholic drink is offered for a review ;)

We were in Cologne for two days and are kicking ourselves for not discovering this restaurant on our first day. We could have gone twice! The food is incredibly delicious. We had the sushi once and then three of the appetizers. Wonderfully aromatic, with fresh ingredients, and everything so colorful and beautifully presented. The delicious drinks and desserts (like the fried bananas 🫠) are also highly recommended. The service is very attentive without being intrusive. This visit truly made me happy. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in Cologne again.

What a delicious dinner we had, at first I had my doubts about the fact that they only serve vegan dishes here but I must say you really have to give it a try because the food taste so good. Lots of dishes to share, bowls and sushi. A fine little restaurant where you can eat while you are having a conversation with each other because there is no loud music and not another 50 people at yhe same time. If you are looking for a good and healthy place to eat and enjoying the peacefulness you must certainly come to Zen Chay. I loved it !

We had lunch here over the weekend. The food is delicious and fresh. Everything is vegan. I highly recommend the sushi platter (with various options), the bao buns, and the mango-cucumber salad. The bowls are very filling and satisfying. I would definitely come back when I'm in Cologne!

We had lunch at Zen Chay today and we were absolutely thrilled. The food was incredibly delicious, freshly prepared, and tasted fantastic. The value for money is excellent; you really get great quality for a fair price. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. A particular highlight was that it wasn't noisy, so we could relax, eat, and have a good conversation. We'll definitely be back!

The food was good but the service staffs are upright rude. There is no attention to what the customer wants, they just wanted us out of there mayb coz of three toddler situation. So overall food is good but not a family friendly place.

What a disappointment. It's a vegan restaurant that tried to fill the void left behind by Bodhi, which was amazing beyond words for a vegan restaurant. It fails miserably. The food is bland and tasteless or almost dripping in fat. Nothing tastes fresh. We had hoped to experience a new Bodhi but all we got was disappointment. We didn't know how quick to leave. They gave us the leftovers but threw it in the trash along the way back. Not worth eating or your money. Avoid.

Absolutely delicious! You can also order the sushi gluten-free, and then you'll get gluten-free soy sauce too! Just ask :) The service is always great.

The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. There were two of us, and we ordered two different bowls; both tasted fantastic and were perfectly seasoned! We were absolutely thrilled and would definitely come back. If you're looking for fresh, balanced food, this is the place to go. The Vietnamese coffee with coconut milk was also really good and, like everything else, very attractively presented. Excellent value for the price!

Just had - for the 3rd time in a few months - an amazing dinner at this vegan Vietnamese spot in Cologne 🌿🥢 Seriously one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had ! Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The summertime rolls were delicious, and the crispy tofu was next-level. The Pho Tron was really tasteful ;) And the hot banana was sooo yummy, and the Café Cot Dua, is da bomb!! The staff were really friendly too, and the atmosphere felt cozy and relaxed. Highly recommend it — even if you’re not so into vegan food, you’ll love it! 🌱✨

This is just AMAIZING! Mine and my girlfriend restaurant of choise. Went here for our first date, for Christmas and 1st year anniversary, never disappointed:) Atmosphere is calm and peaceful, personel is nice and always tries to help out! The food, oh, dont get me started is a masterpiece. genuinely one of the best vegan foods in restaurant i ever tried! the shrimp substitute is also amaizing im very glad to have found zen chay, will 100% come back again and again, and recommend to friends:)

My girlfriend and I have been here for the 4th time now to celebrate our anniversary and were once again reminded why this is our favorite restaurant 💝 A visit feels like a little bit of wellness ;) The food not only tastes incredibly good but also leaves you with a great feeling!! My personal favorite is the Buddha Bowl :) I can also recommend the tea. Served in a beautiful bowl with a cute little wooden spoon 🤭 My personal favorite is Pink Blossom, a bit sour but thoroughly warming. Like a good sauna session ;)

We came here spontaneously: Super delicious food. Great service, and the lunch menu is very good. We both had the peanut dish and would order it again. Compared to some overly busy restaurants, this is a truly peaceful haven in Cologne. It's also a great place to eat alone. And unlike other Asian restaurants in Cologne, which left me a bit traumatized, everything here seems freshly prepared. My opinion/wish/tip: Keep offering the inexpensive lunch menu and don't expand, because your main selling point is your relaxed atmosphere and unbeatable price. Instead, go for a more expensive evening menu, which is surprising. Because I would eat anything here.

Fast, tasty and fresh! Not a single lie. We've been here so many times, we've tried everything on the menu. I would love to see more gender neutral toilets :)

During our trip to Cologne, the question arose: where to eat? It had to be vegan. We chose Zen Chay and were all thrilled. The appetizers alone were so good that we were hooked (except for the super-delicious Buddha Bowl). The homemade lemonades were fantastic. And the dessert was excellent, too. The service was on point, and we always want to come back. A real "go here!!!"

All the dishes were absolutely delicious. We ordered almost exclusively appetizers, and the three of us were very full. And it was beautifully presented, too!

Had the Hanoi soup and the avocado and pear tempura, both outstanding!! I accidentally stumbled across this little place by the church of the twelve apostles when I was starving and it filled the hole very nicely. The food was absolutely delicious, big portions, very reasonable prices and I was looking at everyone else’s food and it all looked absolutely delectable! Would love to return when I’m next in Cologne!

Very unfriendly service, the waiter had a bad face from the start. We weren't allowed to order tap water with our meal. He ended up getting unreasonably angry and banging on dishes because we didn't want to eat there. Truly embarrassing.
