Very nice Vietnamese-style vegan restaurant. Super delicious food.

I ordered the 51b. It was incredibly delicious, but the portion was much too small. I got some of my friends' food and then cooked something for myself at home. For a main course costing around €15, I expected a lot more.

Every time we're there, the food is varied and delicious. In addition to the many main courses and bowls, you can also choose from a small selection of appetizers. The only drawback is that the Vietnamese coffee isn't vegan because of the condensed milk—although you can also use coconut condensed milk. I wasn't expecting that from a restaurant with "vegan" in its name. Nevertheless, we always enjoy coming back.

Apparently, they're lacking staff. There were maybe five tables occupied, and our order wasn't taken for 20 minutes, and then our order was forgotten. It can happen. Everyone has a bad day. But the way the waitress handled it...really not good. On top of that, the food was absolutely inedible. Maybe we just had a bad day; I wouldn't recommend Vegan Hanoi to anyone.

The food was very tasty and quick (we were in the restaurant), and there are a few outdoor seating options. One drawback is the lack of card payments, but otherwise everything was great!

Delicious dishes at reasonable prices

Lovely, fresh and light food with lots of vegetables and fruit...perfect for a hot summer evening. The servers are super friendly, and there are also some outdoor seating. The gin and tonic glass was a bit underfilled, but the homemade tea and lemonade were all the more delicious.

I liked it very much and everything tasted good

This restaurant is good proof that you can avoid animal exploitation without compromising on taste. The food was served quickly and was very tasty (chili seitan). The ambiance was a slight drawback, as you sit outside quite close to a road. But it wasn't unpleasant. This certainly won't be my last visit.

Great Vietnamese restaurant! The food was super delicious – especially the appetizers: really crispy and perfectly prepared. The main courses were also impressive, especially the diverse vegan and vegetarian options. You can sit outside on the street, which is especially pleasant on warm days. The service was very friendly and helpful. The only caveat: they only accept cash payments – just be aware of this and plan ahead. Otherwise, absolutely recommended!

We were absolutely thrilled with Hanoi Vegan in Cologne! The food is not only lovingly prepared, but also tastes truly amazing – fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The drinks were also great – creatively mixed and perfectly matched. A fantastic place for anyone who wants to enjoy the highest quality vegan cuisine.

Very tasty food, which arrived quickly after ordering. The mango lassi was also very tasty, although there were a bit too many ice cubes for my taste. I also love the decor. Half a star deducted for the lack of card payments and the somewhat inattentive service (but it was also very busy).

It's okay but afterwards I felt like eating something real! It's really only for people who are fully vegan.

The food isn't bad, but in my opinion it's sometimes more apparent than it is. Even though, as we all know, the eye eats and the plates are very aesthetically decorated, the taste was unfortunately a bit lacking the few times I was there.

I stumbled in here quite by chance and very hungry. Vegan is now widespread, but I don't really trust some of the restaurants. That's why I like to choose a purely vegan one. Here, in keeping with the asparagus season, there were even asparagus dishes. And it was really delicious. The dish looks great. So. Photo and that's how it tasted too. The quantity was completely enough for me. The service was very nice. And explained to me, without asking, how I should handle the Vietnamese coffee. Ambiance is also great. The prices are in the normal range. Eating out has its price, which I was happy to pay here. I will come again and recommend it. Especially for vegans, the selection is really big.

First of all, I am neither vegan nor vegetarian and I became aware of you through a friend. Before my visit I was rather critical, and to be honest, I was even biased. These were neither confirmed; on the contrary, I was absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere was very inviting, the service was friendly and the time from ordering to the food being served was very entertaining. The food absolutely surprised and delighted me. If I had the opportunity to eat like this every day, I wouldn't miss meat. As a non-vegan, I can't think of a greater compliment.

The food is definitely delicious. Unfortunately I couldn't eat it because neither on the homepage nor on the phone when I ordered was I told that only cash payment was possible. In Cologne and in 2025 it is very disappointing that food has to be thrown away because of this.

Hanoi Vegan Cologne – An absolute highlight for everyone, not just vegans! We were at Hanoi Vegan in Cologne on Saturday evening after discovering the restaurant by chance - the external appearance immediately appealed to us. And what can I say? It was an absolutely great decision! Luckily we had a reservation because the store was packed - which is a good sign. We felt at home as soon as we entered the restaurant: a beautiful ambience with great lamps, tasteful interiors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was consistently friendly, attentive and in a good mood - you can just tell that they work here with heart and passion. Now for the most important thing: the food! I ate spring rolls as a starter, which were a little different than usual - probably with panko or another exciting breading - definitely delicious! For the main course I had Seitan satay skewers - and they were to die for! Perfectly seasoned, incredibly tasty and filling. My wife, who doesn't eat meat, had a tofu dish that was also excellent. Another member of our group ordered a mango salad, which was fresh, fruity and delicious. We were particularly impressed by the crispy Seitan skewers with rice, which not only looked great but also tasted great. Even if you're actually a meat eater, you won't miss anything here for a moment. The flavors, textures and quality of the food are first class - a real recommendation for anyone who loves good food! Our conclusion: 10 out of 10 – we will definitely come back! If you are in Cologne, you should definitely not miss a visit to Hanoi Vegan.

I'm not a vegan, but the dishes don't make you miss the meat at all (especially Seitan dishes). Absolutely top class in terms of taste! I really like the fact that supplies come from a regional farm, which is also evident in the extremely fresh vegetables. The map offers a huge selection. Very tasty vegan food in a cozy atmosphere. You will be served quickly and friendly. The prices are ok. I recently paid €100 for 4 people. Only cash payment is possible. On weekends it is better to reserve. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cologne

The restaurant is highly recommended. Service very friendly and attentive. There were six of us and the food was prepared quickly. At the table there was Duck's Happiness and Chicken Happiness, with different sauces. We were all very satisfied.

Okay to sit, but relatively tight and uncomfortable. Food was okay, but varied relatively strongly from dish to dish. Is there in my opinion? better Vietnamese around. The special thing here, of course, is that everything is 100% vegan

Unfortunately my mediocre Pho Hanoi was followed by food poisoning at its best yesterday.:(

For starters we had two fried tofu skewers with a cocktail sauce on top. The skewers had a savory to sweet taste. For the main course we had an eggplant stew and a dish with zucchini and mushrooms. A small bowl of rice would be served with the eggplant stew. The zucchini stuffed with mushrooms tasted bitter. The food was absolutely not tasty. The eggplant stew was not seasoned, in the end the eggplant was steamed in the water with some herbs. That didn't taste good at all. I am sure that these dishes are never served in the country of origin.

We come here very regularly and love it. There are a variety of fresh vegan dishes at fair prices. Very nice service who notes the little extra requests with patience. You cannot pay by card, but there are 2 ATMs in the immediate vicinity.

Unfortunately, for the second time in a row, my voucher was not accepted, with different reasons. Since the store only accepts cash payments, I think the excuse that it only works if you eat on site is a complete rip-off. Apart from that, the meal “papaya salad” was very little for the price and other dishes were missing ingredients that were advertised on the menu.

Ate very tasty. Good spicy taste, fresh. Chairs could be more comfortable and service a little more present. But all in all a very good restaurant and we will be back.

The food tastes very good, but the service is absolutely disgraceful. I was served the wrong dish. When the waitress collected the money, she asked me three times for a tip. My absolute favorite restaurant! I've tried many vegan restaurants and I'm always drawn to Hanoi. The food is simply incredibly tasty, the portions are appropriately large, and the service is quick and friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and I always found a place quickly, even without a reservation. I can therefore always recommend it!

Bombastic! I've eaten the best papaya salad so far in Vietnam and Thailand and now I've found the opportunity in Cologne. Super tasty, super authentic! The homemade lemonades and a variety of self-created soft drinks are really good! The udon noodles with red curry were perfect. Spicy (but edible) fruity floral, fresh! Clear recommendation. Spontaneously passed the restaurant while strolling through Ehrenfeld, actually had something completely different in mind, but was then convinced by the small menu outside. Once inside, I was completely excited about the design, really beautiful. Unobtrusive but very attentive and friendly service. We were a bit overwhelmed with the selection and then ordered various starters. Drinks arrived within less than five minutes, and the food also came quickly and was really fantastic! We were completely thrilled! Really great selection and incredibly tasty. Price performance is definitely right here. As a completely vegan shop, it is also a dream for every vegetarian. We were really happy to have discovered the store! Card payments would be great for the future, but there are three ATMs within ten meters.
