Good sushi, but not outstanding. The service was very friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the visit pleasant. Overall, a solid sushi restaurant!

This restaurant is highly recommended for non-vegans. Great location, great ambience, very nice service. Given that it is Asian, I (a vegan) am missing something appealing on offer. Avo and cucumber maki is nice, but just not a hit.

New management! New chef and new staff. Unfortunately, the quality and soul in the store has steadily disappeared since the sale. The delicious crispy shrimps (102) are now just soft breading drizzled with oil. Unfortunately, that certain something is missing from the sushi and the rolls we ordered are now different. I am a frequent customer and I have noticed recently the quality of the food dropping. Not sure if the management has changed or the kitchen. Hopefully they revert this.

This place is rather hidden and a nice place to go to for dinner or hangout in general. Rather than going classic, they lit up purple lights and it made it semi restaurant and semi club without the music. The tables are nicely spaced out so we all had privacy and space to move around. The outdoor dining would have been totally fantastic in the warmer days. They had h th e whole courtyard!!!! Our waiter was phenomenal. He was so kind and attentive. The service was friendly and welcoming. The food was ok. They did not disappoint but I’d come back for the service and the space.

We went on February 14, 2025 and despite being full, the service was diligent and very good. Because it was an important day, it is understandable that the food took 1 hour but the waiters were always attentive and seemed committed to their work.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I had a reservation for 9:30 PM for a Valentine's Day dinner. When we arrived at the restaurant, they turned us away, saying they had no available tables, even though we had booked the day before.

I reserved a table at 9 p.m. via Quandoo and received a confirmation by email. Unfortunately we couldn't leave in time. For this reason, I called the restaurant several times before 9 p.m. Nobody answered the phone. Then I saw that according to Quandoo there was still a table available at 10 p.m. As a precaution, I also reserved this option. The table reservation was also confirmed to me via email. But what I then experienced in the restaurant with my partner is simply unimaginable. The first thing we heard when we arrived at the restaurant was that nothing was available today and, even better, that also applies to the table reservations. The kitchen is very busy, etc., we heard as an excuse! What kind of service is this? After I announced that I had reserved a table and received a confirmation by email and also that I couldn't reach anyone by phone, there was no apology. Rather, we were coldly dismissed. Only when we left the restaurant did I hear a “sorry”. By the way, my partner spoke to the gentleman in his local language (Turkish) and told him, among other things, that this was a special day for us and that I had invited you (Valentine's Day). None of that mattered, we were sent home anyway. In other words, please come back tomorrow. We were also informed that something wasn't working with the online reservation system yesterday and the phone was also broken yesterday. To me it all sounded more like excuses. I have often eaten at your place and, because I work in the service industry, I have always recommended eating at the ZEN Restaurant to many friends and acquaintances. It is highly recommended. After yesterday I'm really speechless and I'm thinking about whether I'll tell all my friends and acquaintances that they shouldn't go there anymore because the service is no longer good. How can we remain now? No apology, no question about where we came from, etc., we were coldly dismissed at the reception in the restaurant. Why didn't the waiter say to us, I'm sorry, but please come back another time and we'll come to meet you with a bottle of wine on the house or something like that. There are many ways to make a customer (guest) happy. We can also chat over the phone. Then I would like to talk to the managing director about it straight away. Guests were leaving in frustration, tickets were piling up in the kitchen, and yet there was no acknowledgment of the issues—no apology, no updates, no attempt at compensation. Ordered through Wolt. 102 minutes late and the restaurant hadn't even started preparing. Then I canceled. On Valentine’s Day without food… Thank you for literally NOTHING.

We had reserved a table the day before. When we arrived in the evening, we were informed that the boss had forgotten to turn off the reservation. So there was no table for us. Everything is just right here: The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and relaxed. The plate of sushi is lovingly decorated and you can taste the freshness and very high quality of the individual ingredients. My 9 year old daughter was also really excited. A restaurant as it should be in the classic sense!

Our restaurant for beautiful occasions. UPDATE: Things seem to be going downhill this year... 90 minutes waiting time for the food, which is currently still not there. Whether we will come back again is rather questionable. Furthermore, the plates were dirty and had to be replaced immediately. Contrary to what was announced, a second spoon was never brought. There were pieces of salad on our sushi, presumably from other guests. A lot probably went wrong today

The food is of top quality and an unbeatable price. The service is excellent. The menu leaves nothing to be desired, you definitely have to go there more often because not only does everything sound and look delicious, but it also tastes incredibly good.

This Secret Place, is a spacy and cozy Sushi Parlour, which I would recommend for a Date. It has a vast Variety of Dishes. From Sushi Plates and Dumplings to Pho Broth. They serve Cocktails as well and I spotted suprisingly a couple of young Men playing a Board Game. You can sit outside in the Summer as it seems.

A lot has changed for the worse since it was taken over by a new owner. We have been guests several times every time we visit Berlin for years. But that won't happen again. Service and kitchen completely new team. The friendliness and competence have been lost. The quality and taste of the food has deteriorated extremely. In particular the tuna in the sushi was tough and had an unpleasant taste. The soup 105 and the chicken 130 don't taste nearly as good either. Too bad

Because of the good reviews I wanted to eat here. However, the sushi with tuna was not freshly prepared and did not taste particularly good. I pointed this out to an employee, but unfortunately I didn't receive a friendly response. I would reluctantly recommend the restaurant.

I think the restaurant is more of a tourist trap. I find the quality of the food to be below average compared to other Asian restaurants. I ate a duck and the dark sauce was tasteless and watery. I had to pay attention to the menu because the waiters were very busy at lunchtime. I will not visit the restaurant again. There are much better Asian restaurants of various nationalities not far on Kantstrasse.

The four of us were there on Friday at 10 p.m. and even though the kitchen closed half an hour later, all four of us got a delicious starter and a great main course. We also thought the value for money was great, the waiters were very friendly even though we arrived so close to closing time. We would always come back.

Unfortunately the price was too high for what we ordered.. we weren't satisfied with a sushi plate for 4 people with 4 people and other things.. unfortunately the service wasn't good either, it was agreed that we would be served everything in one course wanted to have and still it was two courses.

It's not that easy to rate the restaurant. We had reserved a table for two people and were warmly welcomed. After a quick look at the menu, we each ordered a drink and an appetizer. The starter came after just two minutes. We then had to point out the drinks again. These came considerably later. But that wasn't just the case at our table. The table next door was served the main course shortly after the starter was served. The drinks were then also requested at this table. We ordered two sushi plates for the main course. These were served on a plate without asking in advance... And then what was served didn't even correspond to the picture on the menu. The waiter started to argue until a second person intervened and then tried to save it by giving us the right one. He also apologized and was very friendly. But overall I can't recommend the restaurant. The service is just not good and the red wine I ordered was at room temperature (in late summer). Anyone who serves red wine at room temperature these days hasn't learned much. The saying comes from the Middle Ages, when the room temperature was significantly lower than today's average temperature. It's a shame... But we won't come again

Beautiful restaurant on the Kudamm. I've been there several times and the food has always impressed me. The ambience is very nice because of the Asian decor. What is also very remarkable is the staff. Very nice people who are easy to talk to.

An inconspicuous place in a secluded backyard. So close to the Kudamm and yet so quiet and relaxing, the ambience is really successful. There were no particular problems with the service, everything went as expected for an upscale area. I only ate sushi, and it can be said that it is definitely fresh and has an above-average taste. The selection of sushi is manageable, with a few peculiarities but not the largest selection. Price/performance ratio is okay for the area, considering the selection and taste, others offer more for less €. If you're looking for a nice atmosphere, you're welcome to stop by, you won't be disappointed 👍🏻

I had lunch at Zen today, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations for Asian cuisine. While the soup was decent, the spring rolls, dragon rolls, and unagi rolls were disappointing and lacked the authentic flavors I was hoping for. In fact, they were so off the mark that we couldn’t even finish them. The service was average, nothing noteworthy.

The food is great, we tried sushi, kimchi and coco soup and they all were delicious and fresh. During lunch it’s pretty busy and you may not find preferred place or for larger groups. The restaurant is clean and had cozy atmosphere. Staff is helpful but during rush hours you may have to wait a bit. Clean toilets are at downstairs. We didn’t tried any cocktails but they have good drinks options.

I went there a few times to eat their fried chicken dish for lunch break. It was the best dish. I was disappointed to see that they replaced it with a normal curry without crisp :( Still good but similar to any other asian restaurant now

A very pleasant experience. The food is fantastic - I ordered the seared tuna and small sushi platter. Really fresh-tasting, very well presented and an excellent price point for the quality. It's also in a particularly upmarket shopping district of Berlin, so I was impressed at how competitive the prices were - especially compared to other major cities. The cocktail was a bit weak and warm. Shout out to Mario, the Spanish travelling guitarist who serenaded diners!

Rolls are delicious. We got a set for two which was called “you and me”. Made from fresh ingredients. We are full. Especially we liked the crispy ones. The texture was very unusual. The only downside is that we had to wait about 15 minutes. Dumplings with shrimp are excellent. Our child liked them. Mango lassi is on a decent level. The restaurant did not accept cards. Starting tomorrow, it will be closed for a week.
