I had lunch at Zen today, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations for Asian cuisine. While the soup was decent, the spring rolls, dragon rolls, and unagi rolls were disappointing and lacked the authentic flavors I was hoping for. In fact, they were so off the mark that we couldn’t even finish them. The service was average, nothing noteworthy.

This reaturant ia a feast for the eyes and the palate.

We come here very often and have had company dinners here twice. It was always immaculate. Super tasty and always something for everyone. The price-performance ratio is top. Great quality. The interior ambience is very cozy and very beautiful. Clear recommendation, a visit is worth it.

Very good sushi and very well presented. The spring rolls are also very good. Very nice place and also attentive and friendly staff in the heart of Charlottenburg. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for dinner. Lovely courtyard terrace. Friendly and quick service and the quality of food is great. My husband really enjoyed the hot beef plate. My friend and I even ordered a second round of the Zen special roll since we enjoyed it so much.

We really enjoy going to Zen because it's simply delicious and we think the atmosphere is very nice. It's great in the courtyard, especially in summer. Service is always very nice!

Pretty good sushi place located in central Berlin. We ordered a family sized set and it was good but the portion cost ratio was little off there could be more. Drinks were a little expensive for sushi place. Otherwise for sushi tase good!

An Asian in the city, great location! You can get there super quickly on foot or by public transport. The food was good, the sauce was a bit watery. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning, the fan did everything it could, but at 33 degrees it didn't do much. Prices were ok and the service was also polite and friendly. The restaurant has very dark furniture and a large area of ​​seating. There was no music playing, so you could hear every word from both the waiters and the guests. It's a good shop with sushi and co, worth a visit!

The employees are very unfocused, the dishes are dirty, they make you wait a long time, they don't take their work seriously enough, they don't pay attention to anything, they don't see the provisioner from the store, the tables are also dirty, there's a plus: it tastes normal here like everyone else's, wouldn't go back come .

The food is great, we tried sushi, kimchi and coco soup and they all were delicious and fresh. During lunch it’s pretty busy and you may not find preferred place or for larger groups. The restaurant is clean and had cozy atmosphere. Staff is helpful but during rush hours you may have to wait a bit. Clean toilets are at downstairs. We didn’t tried any cocktails but they have good drinks options.

I went there a few times to eat their fried chicken dish for lunch break. It was the best dish. I was disappointed to see that they replaced it with a normal curry without crisp :( Still good but similar to any other asian restaurant now

A very pleasant experience. The food is fantastic - I ordered the seared tuna and small sushi platter. Really fresh-tasting, very well presented and an excellent price point for the quality. It's also in a particularly upmarket shopping district of Berlin, so I was impressed at how competitive the prices were - especially compared to other major cities. The cocktail was a bit weak and warm. Shout out to Mario, the Spanish travelling guitarist who serenaded diners!

Rolls are delicious. We got a set for two which was called “you and me”. Made from fresh ingredients. We are full. Especially we liked the crispy ones. The texture was very unusual. The only downside is that we had to wait about 15 minutes. Dumplings with shrimp are excellent. Our child liked them. Mango lassi is on a decent level. The restaurant did not accept cards. Starting tomorrow, it will be closed for a week.

A very joyful discovery! Even when it's very hot, you can sit in the inner courtyard in a comfortable and airy place. The food is really good and appetizingly prepared. The Suhsi are actually the best I have ever eaten. The service is friendly and quick. I didn't want to order anything to drink with my meal, so they brought me a house iced tea on the house. I know such a nice and hospitable gesture from Berlin not at all. As I walked I had a very good feeling, a mini vacation.

Here you can get the best sushi I've eaten in Berlin... it's a little more expensive but it's definitely worth it! The servive is great and likes to chat. Always happy to come back

Zen Restaurant's website is very attractive. That's why we (2 people) reserved a table there. I'll keep it short: the location is okay, in a courtyard, away from the noise. However, we were very disappointed with the food. Everything we ordered was somehow Asian, but the taste was “Germanized” and bland. The service was professional, friendly, but overwhelmed.

Food was really tasty and they even offer gluten free soy sauce. The ambience is simply beautiful and sitting in the peaceful courtyard in summer gives you real summer vibes! I can only recommend.

A waiter speaks neither English nor German. I asked for water to drink medicine but he didn't understand me. I took the water from the counter myself. I left the money for the water. He shouted after us and demanded money for the water we didn't drink. This behavior is not acceptable. That's very rude.

I rarely award a full 5 deaths, but ZEN really deserves every single one.... Mega super duper delicious food... we've been here several times, every time it's really a pleasure... Super nice service, attentive, friendly, helpful, competent, fast and sometimes even fun. Ambience: reserved, noble, friendly with lots of greenery, very clean, not as kitschy as is often the case with Asian restaurants... and what I also think is very good is that the tables are not so terribly close to each other. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside, Uhlandstr. In the 2nd row with a very nice and spacious courtyard area. This restaurant does have a small drawback... if you come by car, use a parking garage! There are absolutely no parking spaces available outside, or just take public transport... Dear ZEN people, we would love to come back!!!

The place is quiet, secluded - the only plus of this place. Well, there is also a children's menu. The service is terrible: the waiters are lost and don't speak English. They immediately poured water on the floors in front of us (they washed off the dirt), and immediately after that they took and served the food. They didn’t bring the drink I ordered, and even after a reminder they didn’t bring it. It turns out I didn’t put it in the order( There was no chicken in the soup. I had to ask for a new portion. The sushi was ordinary. But the impression was spoiled by the service

A really Nice place with a Pretty decor. From when we ordered, to the food was on our table was incredible. It was like not even 10 min. So overall good service and really tastefull food. Would definitly reccoment.

The service was subpar. Of the 2 soups we ordered, only one came. Main courses took ages to arrive even though there were hardly any tables occupied. Same with the drinks too. Neither friendly nor professional.

Typical germanized Vietnamese- Sushi Asian restaurant , you know the options are fried meat with Coconut curry or teriyaki sauce and rice . Whole Berlin eats the same so called vietnamese food in every restaurant, very different from what you would in vietnam. Zen is no exception. I ordered udon noodles with duck today. I got fried duck meat, lettuce and salted noodles. Saving grace was the complementary bottles of sriracha and soya sauce , when asked for . Season the food as per your choice. Lunch menu was reasonable and the open air seating under the sun is enjoyable.

Very good food at normal prices. Small mistakes when ordering but everything was made up for with dessert and sushi on the house. All employees are super friendly. Definitely recommendable!!

The quality of the food has decreased significantly. Sushi was definitely not fresh and the rice tasted sweetened. Furthermore, the starters and main courses were brought at different times. Service was sometimes very unfriendly and not interested in constructive criticism.

All in all it was ok, but that random Kurdish staff was very irritating. He's trying to manage or pretend he's being useful while wearing his winter jacket, but all he does is irritating the staff and slowing down current processes. Saw him walking into the kitchen, distracting all the kitchen staff and then just standing there and starring into the abyss...

The worst service we have ever experienced. The waiter, who also calls himself the manager, is absolutely unfriendly and disrespectful. Customer friendliness is probably not taught here. We politely asked if we could get a table outside. He just said unkindly: “No. Either they sit inside or they leave” Well, we accepted that and took a seat inside. He then came to our table and told us not to ask so many questions in the future because he found it casual and annoying. Totally shocked by such behavior, we left the restaurant straight away. Especially as a so-called managing director, you should behave more professionally or at least learn to be friendly. Never again!

We arrived at the restaurant at 10:23 p.m. We asked if it was still possible to order food and sit down to eat even though it was written that they close at 11:00 p.m. We were told that the food we ordered arrived at 10:34 p.m. He started counting small money right next to us and it made us a lot of noise. In addition, his employees sat down at a table next to us and started eating in front of our faces. They really gave us an unpleasant feeling. This is not how people are welcomed to a restaurant! They should have said from the beginning the restaurant is closed!! A disgrace, we paid 38.70 euros and ate in 9 minutes like thieves, we will never return and we will never recommend shameless!!!!!

Great place, delicious and beautiful! Lots of space and seating, there is a child seat and two dishes on the children's menu, chicken rice and salmon rice. Delicious sushi and main courses. The cocktails are unfortunately not the most delicious.

Used to be my favorite Asian. Unfortunately it's no longer good anymore. Crunchy is more baked, unfortunately fried noodles are only cooked and the service is totally messed up. Now an absolutely average sushi restaurant. There are much better ones in Berlin. A pity.

We had the pleasure of eating sushi at Zen Restaurant today and we loved it from start to finish. The service was exceptionally warm and humorous, making our visit a real pleasure. Our cozy corner provided a pleasant atmosphere, and the first glimpse of the sushi chef and the fresh ingredients was an added highlight. The sushi was not only visually appealing, but also a real feast in terms of taste - really excellent! The drinks were also delicious and very well balanced. At the end we enjoyed the mochi ice cream and the macha ice cream, which rounded off the evening perfectly. We are already looking forward to our next visit and will definitely recommend the Zen Restaurant!

Ambience: The restaurant is designed in an indoor Japanese style with cherry blossom tree. And lots of little details. The food is difficult to read because of the darkness. Service: the service isn't that great either, no candles lit, no cutlery or servings distributed. (We ended up taking it into our own hands Eat: The starter yakitori skewers were quite okay. I also know it from the wholesale market. The meal "You and Me" sushi for 2 was borderline, in some cases the mayo or sauce on or in the sushi was not fresh. (followed by mild diarrhea) The fish in the sushi also had a slight perishable taste. I found the glasses for the drinks very bad. A large Sprite 0.4 liter and a Coke 0.4 liter cost €4.20 each, but I have to clearly complain that the glasses cannot be used for commercial purposes The glasses do not have any quantity information. And it turns out that a friend of mine had the same glasses and the quantity was confirmed to be 0.33 liters. Calculate with 0.4 liters. Conclusion: It's very close to ...... if you don't get (the amount) you pay for! I don't recommend eating there. “More appearance than reality” Oh and my friend can recommend “Angry Chicken”, it was delicious.

We were there on February 14th. The service is lathered, the sushi is prepared. It seemed like there was nothing to complain about, but for wine and dessert we went to the neighboring Georgians.

We, 2 adults and 5 children aged 7-13, went to the Zen Restaurant with great anticipation, everyone was very hungry. As soon as we entered the restaurant, a waiter came towards us and said there were too many people so we had to turn left all the way back to the right corner next to the Binderten toilet, the children went forward and sat down, I wanted to leave but mine My friend persuaded me to stay because the kids were really looking forward to sushi. There was space in the entire restaurant and we could have been seated at two tables next to each other. We then waited 20 minutes for the menu and then almost as long until the waiter came to take our order. He was clearly very annoyed and aggressive in his tone when we asked him a question about a sushi plate. My mood was gone and the waiter ruined our evening with his behavior. The children also noticed that the cellar had lit the candles at all the tables except at ours. We left the restaurant disappointed and will certainly not waste our hard earned money on this restaurant's till again. By no means family-friendly employees.
