We've been regular customers for years and always enjoy our visit to this very special sushi restaurant. The quality of the food is consistently excellent – ​​especially with the raw fish, which is crucial for us. There are always new, creative dishes that you won't find anywhere else. Add to that a great wine and super friendly service – simply perfect all around! We always feel welcome here and highly recommend this restaurant.

The taste was really solid, the sushi was fresh and good. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was okay, but nothing special. Ultimately, however, the price remains a sticking point – significantly too expensive for what ends up on the table. It's manageable, but the value for money isn't quite right.

Very good sushi and very nice people

Our absolute favorite sushi restaurant for years! Everything is just right at Mr. Hai Shabuki: The sushi is always fresh, incredibly delicious, and perfectly prepared – every time. We've been there countless times and have never been disappointed. The hot food is also top-notch – a great selection, fast and friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. You just feel at home. Really good sushi but a bit pricey

Simply too expensive. We didn't know how much each individual plate cost, and we weren't even told. You pay 12.90 for a tiny portion of salmon. Excess!!!

"Shabuki - the art of sushi" means that small works of art glide across the conveyor belt and can be found on the menu here, which differ from the usual standard sushi offerings. Outstanding in both appearance and taste, a definite recommendation!

The sushi doesn't correspond to such high prices. 2 pieces cost 7 euros? Unbelievable...mostly not authentic Japanese sushi either. It's not worth it at all.

It was our first time there and we ate very well! I've never seen the starters and sushi options like this before. Sure, there are also the classics, but Mr. Hai's own creations were not only beautiful to look at but, above all, delicious! We were looked after very nicely and quickly… We'll be back soon! 😋

What happened to Mr. Shark?! We've been going back for a long time because everything always!!! was great! We were there on Friday around 4 p.m. The shop was empty, and since we answered no to the question of whether we had a reservation, we were given a seat at the counter in the far corner. The store was still empty when we left 1 hour later. The belt that runs in circles was out, there were still ginger bulbs and dishes on it, but no sushi. It was then turned on and after 5 rounds of ginger with dishes, 4 plates of salmon nigiri arrived...nothing else. Looking at the map shocked me. The special plates now cost 12! Euro. Wow. Okay, still ordered the beloved Lord of the Rings and Ebi on fire. Both freshly prepared. The squid rings were fried in old dark fat and rubber! Really. Ebi on fire was cold despite being freshly prepared. Cold spinach, cold sauce etc... The Makis that my child ordered were the wrong ones, so they were returned. The breaded pancakes for him are also dark brown from the fat. 2 more plates from the now quarter full conveyor belt. All the same plates, made us stop eating. With drinks we were at 88 euros. Sorry, I've rarely eaten so badly for so much money and then gone home hungry. That no longer had anything to do with the good Mr. Hai, for whom we were happy to travel 15 km. We're out of there, I can order from any delivery service! Too bad!

We've been coming here regularly for years; the best sushi and sushi creations I've ever had anywhere in the world. The price reflects this, but the quality of the fish is truly incredible. No matter what you order, it's an explosion of flavor.

Feels like a place from the 90-s, I didn't like the atmosphere. They have a conveyor for sushi, but it's not working as supposed. Seems that the staff doesn't speak both German and English very well. Food was okay though.

Came in yesterday with a reservation for six people and booked table on purpose (you can’t sit with a group and kids at the bar). I was told that only the bar is available since the reservation is done by other people. I insisted that we want a table and was told that a table in the corner (where an employee was eating at that time) can be cleaned up. After the table was cleaned up, I still saw rice remains on the table. The table was in the dark corner next to the toilette (I assume that this table is not much liked by customers hence the employee was having dinner there). We decided to leave after this experience. This is highly unprofessional to say the least.

If there is a place for sushi, this is the one. Such specialities that are just so delicious, best sushi I ever had. Also, I didn’t expect a sushi restaurant to have cocktails but they have and they are great, top!

Terrible experience. The sushi was made without love and the lady who looked after us was really rude. Super expensive, and they're not even Japanese. A ton of rice per piece of fish in all makis or nigiris. Terrible.

I tried the Butterfly dish at Mr. Hai, which was made personally by the chef and it was an absolute taste experience! I was impressed not only by the freshness of the ingredients, but also by the art with which the sushi was prepared. It was a small masterpiece – as much a visual delight as it was in terms of taste. The balance between flavors was perfect, and the combinations were creative and harmonious. Particularly noteworthy is the attention to detail in the presentation: the sushi was served like a little work of art, almost too beautiful to eat! The service was friendly, attentive and completed the entire experience. I can recommend Mr. Hai to anyone who not only wants to enjoy first-class sushi, but also values ​​aesthetics and atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was no explanation for lunch in advance for us. As a result, with two adults and two small children, instead of 4 x EUR 15 for self-service lunch, we paid EUR 149.00 for manageable self-service including two miso soups, two glasses of tap water, two cups of tea, and a lemonade. For this high price, the quality of the food is not appropriately high. Eating and drinking in Berlin at lunchtime during the week at this price - then go to Kantstrasse to @Kuchi or @Madame PHO

I'm not a fish eater, but there were enough alternatives. The group loved the sushi offerings. I had the satay chicken bowl and it was also very good. Selection of food and drinks is very good. The chairs at the counter become a bit uncomfortable after 2 hours. We'd love to come back

Overall a relatively sad experience. The pictures look good, the reviews are good. But it’s way overpriced for what it is. We spent quite a bit of money there and unfortunately I know quite a few places where we would have been significantly happier. We ordered a sashimi which ended up being nine pieces of sushi with almost no seaweed salad, price 30 EUR. A beer 6 EUR. I don’t mind paying for good quality, but this ain’t it.

The food was very good! But the service was very snore! The waiters were standing around at the entrance and I even had to go to the front to order something.

Mr. Hai Kabuki has very high quality fishes. Sashimi is fresh and sushi is perfectly made with big slices of fish. The sauces are all very special. Actuall I forgot to take more photos because I did concentrate on enjoying the food.

Sushi was fresh and very tasty. The ambience is upscale and you feel comfortable, which is the most important thing in my opinion. It is a little more expensive but also very good quality. The service was also very friendly.

Still the tastiest sushi! The guys behind the counter are top notch! When it comes to waiters, as a boss I wouldn't know who I would throw out first! Unmotivated, inattentive and self-absorbed! A pity! But come back anyway!

Despite reservations, only one place at the bar. The first and last time.

We have been coming to what we consider to be the best sushi restaurant ever for over 17 years. Today we were lucky enough to meet the master in person. Mr. Hai spontaneously asked us to test his latest creation “Butterfly Sushi”. The work is visually and culinary another great “shark light” from his hand and fits in perfectly with favorites such as “Tiger on Bicycle” or “Lemon Tuna”.

I love sushi very much. Today I had the opportunity to visit Shabuki Sushi Restaurant. It was really a great experience. I have never eaten such delicious sushi before. Not only that, but my girlfriend and I were also surprised by the variety of sushi variations presented to us. Luckily, we were able to watch the chef, Mr. Hai, prepare sushi and he gave us some special sushi creations that he conjured up with his skillful and experienced hands. A bit noisy but the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and inviting. We were really satisfied

There isn't that much choice at the sushi band, but the ones that were available were well made. Most of the items on the line were lukewarm although it was more of a fresh type of sushi (e.g. avocado maki). The service was great, but the space in the corner of the line was very tight and others had to push through to get past.

We were guests on December 29th, 2023. We imagined Mr. Shark to be much better. The food looked okay, but the taste didn't convince us at all for the price. The flambéed tuna didn't score anywhere near the quality and price. It was more like small cubes of chicken with unmarinated raw vegetable salad. All the other sushi's were too unconvincing. There are significantly better offers in the area with a reasonable price-performance ratio. Unfortunately the service was only sufficient. Too bad Mr. Shark.

We had a platter for two people and a few other rolls, it was all very tasty, the service was very friendly and competent. We were very satisfied and will definitely eat here again.

Der Klassiker der Sushi-Szene in Berlin. Gekonnt gut und knallfrisch vor unseren Augen zubereitet. Das Ambiente ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert. Freundlicher Service inklusive.

Sushi ist richtig lecker. Punktabzug wegen der latte macchiato. Nach 21 Uhr kann man keine mehr bestellen, weil der kaffevollautomat schon aus ist!!

My favorite was shrimps with asparagus and yummy miso sauce Atmosphere depends on where you sit! If you are alone or 2 i recommend to sit at the bar 💕

Wir hatten Bowls und Sushi, Kimchi und den Lachs. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Die Bowls sind riesig! Ich hatte die mit Lachs und ein Freund mit Hähnchen. Wir waren beide sehr begeistert. Der Lachs war fantastisch. Mein Mann hatte den Lachs und zuvor das Kimchi. Er liebt Kimchi und fand es wirklich gut. Auch sein Lachs war sehr gut, butterweich und saftig. Preis ist ebenfalls OK und der Service war super. Sehr schnell alles und sehr freundlich.

Leckeres Sushi Restaurant in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, direkt am Olivaerplatz. Die Servicemitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sushi war sehr frisch und lecker. Klasse Qualität. Man bekommt keine hochgestochenen Stäbchen, sondern klassische Holzstäbchen. Hat mir persönlich sehr gefallen. Leckerer Grauburgunder. Auch das Publikum ist sehr angenehm. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und komme gerne wieder. Absolute Empfehlung, auch für Menschen mit Handicap. Konnte mit meinem E-Scooter ebenerdig ins Restaurant fahren.

Es ist ein cooles Sushi Lokal mit einer Karte die definitiv über den üblichen Standard hinaus geht. Viele schöne Sushi-Varianten und weitere Gerichte. Der Service war zuvorkommend und hat sich um den Gast bemüht.
