We were at Zeloh for the first time today for a family celebration. Our expectations were fully met. We received a warm welcome and the staff were immediately helpful. The buffet left nothing to be desired, with fresh rolls from the bakery and fruit salad made from fresh fruit – no canned fruit at all. The all-inclusive drinks package was excellent, with a great selection. The drinks were constantly being replenished. The crepes were a particular highlight. The ambiance perfectly complements the industrial setting. The acoustics were a bit loud, but not bothersome. We felt very comfortable, highly recommend Zeloh and its team, and will definitely be back soon :-) 👍🏼 All the best to the whole team!

We celebrated our wedding with over 100 guests at Zeloh. We felt incredibly comfortable right from the start! The entire team also supported us so well on our day! They made us feel like guests at our wedding (incredibly valuable to us!). The venue is stunning. The food was incredibly delicious! The many little details made everything perfect. Our guests all felt incredibly comfortable and were just as thrilled as we were! We would not only say YES to each other again and again, but also YES to you again and again! THANK YOU!!

We booked Zeloh for our wedding reception, including a non-denominational ceremony, and are completely satisfied. The entire team is very professional, friendly, and provides prompt and competent assistance with any questions. From a wide selection, we were able to design the day exactly as we envisioned. From the non-denominational ceremony, to the table decorations, champagne reception, and buffet, to the photo booth and candy bar, everything was included and lovingly designed. Everything is very modern and on one level, so all our guests could move around freely. The surroundings, including the former mining site, are also beautiful and perfect for a photo shoot. The food is delicious, and the selection of drinks is extensive. We felt incredibly comfortable. Thank you so much for helping make this special day what it was – outstanding.

We held our wedding reception at the Zeloh a few weeks ago. We felt incredibly comfortable there. Mr. and Mrs. Magedanz guided us wonderfully through the preparation process, and we were able to turn to them with any questions we had. We really liked the clear pricing structure, directly on their website. We also had vegan options for an additional charge. The fact that the hotel was right next door was super convenient, so everything was short. We (and all of our guests) really liked the location and didn't miss anything. The food was also absolutely delicious! We are so grateful that we were able to celebrate our wedding at the Zeloh!

We were there for brunch. The coffee was good, and the selection of rolls and bread was good. However, photos made the buffet look "better" and the selection larger than it actually was. Unfortunately, when something ran out at the buffet, it wasn't refilled, such as the potato gratin. The service seemed overwhelmed at times. The online price listed was different from what was charged.

Our wedding reception at Zeloh was simply dreamy! Even during the planning stages, the Magedanz family was always available, incredibly warm, and helpful. Even last-minute requests for changes a few days before the ceremony were immediately accommodated – from additional ice to fans for the warm weather, everything was available. When we arrived after the church ceremony, we received a warm welcome; everything was perfectly prepared. The venue itself was beautifully decorated by Ms. Magedanz, with great attention to detail. The food was also a real highlight – both the canapés at the champagne reception and the buffet later on were consistently delicious. The drinks selection was also enormous – the Frozen Lillet was particularly popular with the guests. The service was attentive, prompt, and super friendly – ​​until the early hours of the morning. Even when the photo booth briefly had problems, the staff helped us immediately. It was also particularly pleasant that the Zeloh team took care of the cleanup and dismantling entirely – we only had to take our personal belongings with us at night and didn't have to worry about anything else. I was here on June 28, 2025, as a guest at a wedding. I have to say, I absolutely love the venue and the ambiance. The staff were super attentive to their guests and very accommodating. The food was a feast for the palate and absolutely delicious. The restrooms were very well maintained, and to my surprise, they even provided deodorant :), which I haven't seen at any other venue before, especially given the current sweltering temperatures. I think it's a shame there's no air conditioning. The large windows open to allow for a bit of ventilation, but it was very hot that day. Hence the one star deduction. Otherwise: you were absolutely fantastic. I'd love to come back. Best wishes to the team, and stay healthy :)

A beautiful venue located in the heart of the former Lohberg mine. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The buffet was very varied and delicious. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I highly recommend this venue for celebrations.

The location is really good. You can enjoy a pleasant breakfast here with live cooking and a reasonably pleasant crowd. Prices are reasonable, if not a bit expensive. The atmosphere is great. The waiters aren't trained but try hard. The view is okay, and the vibe in the mountain park is really cool. You can take a walk beforehand and then sit down and relax at Zeloh. It's really okay here.

I love coming here for breakfast and snacks. It's super tasty and reasonably priced. I especially like the ambiance.

The owners, Ute and Andreas, are two treasures you won't find anywhere else. We've never met two people who work with such dedication and attention to detail; we felt completely at home from the very first moment. Every wish was fulfilled, and we could turn to them with any questions or suggestions, and they realized everything we wanted. Whether it was buffet requests or which flowers to put on the table – both had great ideas and helped us with all the decisions and their implementation. The entire team was warm, attentive, and professional – we couldn't have wished for anything better. Thank you! The food was a real highlight: The appetizers and the buffet were not only incredibly delicious and eye-catching, but also prepared with great attention to detail. Our guests were absolutely thrilled, and of course, so were we! Even a week later, people are still commenting on the delicious food! We were here for brunch. Super tasty and lots of choice. From 11 a.m. there is also warm food (potato gratin, rice, jacket potatoes and mushrooms with slices). Café, tea and water are also included. One star deducted for the ambience, simply because it is very loud. But that's unavoidable even with the high ceiling height :)

We were here for a wedding. The atmosphere is very nice, the surroundings are rather so-so. Mixture between old mine and new industry? Well, the buffet was tasty but nothing special, although this was of course agreed upon. Unfortunately there was only pork It was delicious without being anything special. The waitresses were all very friendly and drinks were cold later on. It was fine.

We celebrated our free wedding in the Zeloh with 52 people and spent a wonderful afternoon and evening in the Zeloh :-) The ambience corresponded exactly to our wishes and ideas. The location is simply unbeatable for large celebrations, as no one is disturbed and the Zeloh is traffic-calmed. And the food and service were just great!!! All in all, five stars - many thanks to the Zeloh team!! :-)

We went for brunch with 10 people on Easter Monday. The selection of home-baked bread, many different rolls, a wide selection of cheese, sausage, vegetables, fruit salad and sweets. Coffee, tea, orange juice and water with different types of water are also available free of charge. Scrambled eggs with and without vegetables, pasta and rice, goulash and vegetable stir-fry were great. From 11:30 there were crepes. The service was great. Used dishes were quickly cleared away. It was a completely successful brunch. Many thanks to Ute, Andreas and the Zeloh team. We'll definitely be back.

We come for brunch several times a year with larger groups. Unfortunately the selection has decreased extremely. The service has also declined significantly. In 2 hours not one came to the table for coffee specialties. Clearing up the dishes also left a lot to be desired. All employees are generally very friendly and helpful. The location is great! However, the price-performance ratio is no longer quite right for us.

Unfortunately the food wasn't good... the burger was raw, after I asked me to please hold on to it, it was just as raw again on my plate after two minutes... my companions weren't happy either... a mushroom cream schnitzel with it 3 Mushrooms...we agreed that we had eaten much better...the service was good...the cappuccino after the meal was excellent...we really liked the ambience despite the food... . Unfortunately it is not possible to respond to the owner's answer... there were four of us... I never dreamed that I had eaten a burger and my companion had the cream schnitzel... I don't want to harm anyone, but that's just how the meal was that evening...

There were 3 main courses to choose from. I ordered crusted roast with croquettes and savoy cabbage. I got Kassler with a limp crust that can't be described as this. The meat was dry. The croquettes were cooked in a steamer!! They were warm but overall also squishy on the outside. The rest of the dishes were lukewarm. I waited more than half an hour for my second drink. If you want sweet potato fries instead of croquettes, you should pay an extra charge of 7.90 euros. The reasoning was that the fries cost 3x as much when purchased as the croquettes. I've been there a few times in the past. The menu was much larger and the food always tasted very good. You should also remember how much and what drinks you have. Nobody at our table ordered water but it was included on the bill. It's actually a shame because everything was fine in the past. It's a shame that we weren't asked at the end how we liked it or whether everything was okay?

We were there for dinner with a larger group on a Friday evening. The atmosphere is super chic, the furnishings are great and make a cozy impression. The prices are absolutely fair. Unfortunately there are no large drinks, so our boys started ordering two small pilsners because it took forever for a waitress to be at our table. The dishes were also not served at the same time. The burgers came when the schnitzel and the rest were almost eaten (otherwise they would have been cold). This should urgently be improved. Furthermore, we sat very close to the toilets and the smell was not pleasant. Every time someone opened the door, the smell came out - that's not possible. The food itself was delicious, luckily the burgers weren't fried to death, but unfortunately a bit dry. I recommend schnitzel or salad. They were great!

We had to wait a very long time for the drinks. The meals in our group were not served at the same time. The food just wasn't good. Starter (mushrooms with tomato dip) didn't taste good. Antipasti plate was ok but nothing more. Overall, unfortunately not convincing. Ambience very nice - a shame.

2 years ago we celebrated our wedding in Zeloh. From the planning to the wedding reception, everything was perfect... The food was great and the glasses were always full... Here you can celebrate in a relaxed manner in a great atmosphere. Today the two of us were here again and, like the last few times, we went home with happily filled bellies... an absolute favorite place for us, we'll be back to celebrate in 2 weeks ❤️

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at Zeloh on September 28th, 2024. We were already excited about the viewing. The ability to rent just about anything also makes things a lot easier. All of our guests were thrilled with the location. The photo camper was one of the highlights of the day. The owners and employees are super nice and uncomplicated.

A great location that has outdoor seating for around 60 guests if a free wedding is to be celebrated. The parking lot is ideally right next to it. The employees are absolutely on their toes, so the wedding ceremony had to be moved indoors shortly before it started.

We celebrated our daughter's wedding there on Saturday, I have to say it went really well. The service was great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was simply great. We felt very comfortable there. Parking spaces are also plentiful. The outside area is very good. There is one small thing, however, it was very warm on Saturday, we had the doors open, it wouldn't be really cool, it might be worth considering whether to buy a few ceiling fans to circulate the air a little. We celebrated a gold wedding there. The location is great, very nice atmosphere.

Simply great for both food and private celebrations. We rented the ZELOH for our free wedding and subsequent celebration and are 100% satisfied. We actually would have had get-to-know-you appointments at other locations, but after we were at ZELOH we knew that we really wanted to get married there and canceled the other appointments. At ZELOH there is (almost) an all-round, worry-free package for weddings; we really only had to worry about the little things that we wanted specifically for our celebration. Otherwise: food, drink, decoration, etc., everything has already been taken care of, just great! In our opinion, the price/performance ratio is unbeatable. In terms of the process, everything went exactly as discussed in advance, the food came exactly on time. We would also like to particularly emphasize the service, which was professional, friendly and fast at all times. Above all, the two employees who stuck with us until the end deserve special praise. We have been to ZELOH Essen several times and have always been very satisfied. The portions are a good size and at a very fair price. Last weekend we went to Sunday brunch for the first time, here too there is a huge selection from rolls to fresh scrambled and fried eggs, crepes to currywurst and really everything we tried was simply delicious. We would love to come back and would celebrate our wedding at ZELOH again at any time!

Lovingly decorated, great food freshly prepared on site (from canapes to the champagne reception, dinner buffet and midnight snacks...never had such a delicious currywurst :)), the crew was always attentive, hard-working and in a good mood until late into the night ...a big compliment to the team! And the contact with the owners, the Magedanz family, was friendly, structured and simply professional from start to finish. The celebration was great...windows and sliding doors could be left open until night and music could be played freely...there were no neighbors around who could be disturbed. An unforgettable and wonderful day for us. Simply recommended as a celebration location.

First visit today for brunch was a huge disappointment...below-average selection at the breakfast buffet, no fish, salmon, bacon, etc....20 minute wait for a small portion of scrambled eggs...the cook preparing was hopelessly overwhelmed...empty plates, Cups, cutlery, etc. are piled up on the tables and are apparently only put away when the whole company leaves the location...😡👎...put 6...other providers can do that much better...that also ruins the tasteful one Facility not out...unfortunately only 1 out of 5 STARS from the local guide...it's a shame...

We're still amazed! We had our dream wedding reception at Zeloh! Our expectations were exceeded! The decoration, the arrangement, the candy bar, the preparations made for us! The perfect meal that was so heavenly delicious (#sagebutter💚), and enough, and beautifully presented. The drinks, the staff, the attention! The chef who took such good care of everything, the cake that arrived so beautifully with the fireworks, the currywurst that was soooo good. And last but not least, of course, the very friendly and uncomplicated communication with Mr. and Mrs. Magedanz. There are simply no wishes left unfulfilled and they really ensure a wonderful celebration! Thank you so much! 5 stars are still not enough!!

We had come to a wedding. The service, the food, the decoration...there was nothing to complain about! The perfect location was conjured up for the bride and groom. And even we were able to easily spend the night in our motorhome (including a power connection) in the parking lot! All that remains is to say thank you for everything!

Not the right place for a leisurely breakfast to enjoy and unwind. Noise like at the train station, guests talking throughout the hall, staff loudly throwing cutlery into the baskets. Absolutely uncomfortable and not suitable for us, so we left without ordering anything, so no rating here...

Wir waren mit 5 Personen da u. waren sehr angenehm überrascht. Wir hatten 5 verschiedene Essen: Saltimbocca Tapasteller 2 versch. Burgervariationen Steak. Alles frisch zubereitet! Sehr freundliche Bedienung! Der Südafrikanische Wein "Chenin Blanc" ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir würden das Lokal unbedingt noch mal besuchen! Es war etwas kühl, die Gastronomen müssen Heizkosten sparen, war aber nicht so schlimm.

Wat een verrassing tijdens het opladen van onze auto bij het Fastned-station. Gelokt door de geur van de keuken hebben wij heerlijk en meer dan genoeg gegeten. Leuke sfeer en vriendelijke bediening. Zo konden wij het de laatste 230km naar Noord Nederland prima volhouden!

We always enjoy coming here...the atmosphere is pleasant...you can sit comfortably, the food is always delicious and sufficient...even in the evening... The team is always nice and helpful... We have nothing to complain about and will definitely continue to go there... One of the top addresses for eating out in Dinslaken...😊 We can highly recommend it!

My food was completely over salted. The best part of the evening was the drive home

The ambience is tasteful and visually appealing, unfortunately there is a lack of "sound absorbers" such as plants in the high and open guest room, which means the acoustics quickly become unpleasant and loud when there are many guests. The food is served in a very visually appealing way, but unfortunately that is where the first problem lies. We had three different burgers at our table and there were a few things that immediately stood out about them all. The burgers are served on oblong plates on which the citizen, the potato wedges and a portion of coleslaw are served in a small bowl. You actually have to remove the bowl of salad from the plate in order to be able to eat it on the narrow plate, but since the bottom of the burger is moist and mushy, the bowl at the bottom is also wet and when you put it from the plate onto the table, you have a dirty table. The bottom of the buns of all the burgers at the table were completely soupy and mushy, the tomato slices and the lettuce were completely disintegrated and mushy due to the heat of the paddy, and the 200g paddy was more of a round meatball than a flat paddy (cause - paddy wasn't strong enough Pressed in the raw state, no pressure on top when frying (contact grill or discomfort from above), which means that the burger can hardly be eaten with cutlery, especially since the paddy crumbles when cutting because it lacks adhesion due to the lack of pressure. Caramelized onions are well thought out, unfortunately poorly made, because they were simply extremely sweet because they were completely over-sweetened and when caramelized they were obviously not deglazed with balsamic or fruit vinegar, for example, to create the typical sweet and sour aroma and the sweetness is mitigated. These were just almost inedibly sweet and completely overwhelmed any other taste. All the paddies on the table were still warm on the outside and also on the inside, but still a maximum of 30-40 degrees inside, which can be explained either by pre-cooking and keeping warm, frozen paddies and cooking with too little pressure, or a very long standing time. The coleslaw was most likely a finished product that was at least brightened up a bit by blueberries and oranges, but also tasted good. The wedges (I guess Metro Chef or Aviko TK, the cheapest) unfortunately came without the traditional SourCream or similar addition, and were completely unsorted, i.e. from huge wedges that were OK, to medium sizes that were perfect, but also the smallest ones Sections that were so hard from frying the different sizes together in the same basket until the large and medium ones were cooked and crispy that you can't even pierce the small ones with a fork, they are just rock hard projectiles. I would have liked to have placed less emphasis on the serving appearance and more on the edibility of the guest and on better quality of the products and quick processing and details like SourCream on the wedges instead of oranges and blueberries on the coleslaw. Better fried paddy and caramelized onions that are not overly sugary and inedibly sweet, but sweet and sour and delicious. All in all, unfortunately, a very sobering experience, a lot of optics, little quality, I can only recommend thinking about some details again and adjusting something, rather increase the prices by 3-4 euros and deliver more quality. It looked like a burger, but it wasn't, but a crumbly meatball on an indefinable mushy base, drowned in completely oversweet onion sauce, covered with the top of a bun and then stabbed with a steak knife that was still stuck in when served, great visual gag , but as soon as you remove the murder weapon, the entire appearance and the burger falls apart, and what remains of the beautiful appearance is a mediocre taste and a soggy battlefield on the serving plate. If someone asked me how the burger tasted, I'd unfortunately have to say sweet as sugar syrup, that's it,

The first impression is really nice, unfortunately it stays that way! Food is not special, owners come across as snooty! A pity!

To be honest, we can't understand where the good reviews come from. The waitress is very slow. You have to repeat orders three times until she has entered it. The result was that the wrong thing was delivered. The store really wasn't full. Every waiter should actually notice that you have ordered something completely different. The menu isn't good either. The risotto rice is not risotto. There is no bruschetta on the antipasti plate. There is no such thing as a burger with cheese. And those are just the things we ordered. Basically, the restaurant has a nice style and is nicely decorated. But it echoes so loudly that we heard the tinkling from the kitchen all the way outside. The sun was shining relatively strong but there wasn't a parasol outside. Last but not least, there is the price, which is completely exorbitant for what is on offer. A burger without cheese and without bacon for €14? That is not justified. The taste of the food was ok but nothing special. I really tried to rate fairly. EDIT: 2024 and we tried again. Unfortunately we had to reduce the rating from 2 stars to one star. Opportunities are left behind here.

Last Saturday we had dinner at Zeloh with 12 people for a big birthday. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. One child didn't get their food until everyone was almost finished. Two people ordered steak...received pasta...without giving an explanation. The food was a disaster...the schnitzels were inedible...the champions in the sauce were totally slippery. The fried noodles were anything but fried. The crusty roast was made from smoked meat. The subsequent telephone conversation with the manager of the house was beyond outrageous. No more Zeloh!!!!!

Great food and friendly service people create a feel-good atmosphere! Really recommended!!

Good food in a nice atmosphere, unfortunately too loud.

The ambience corresponds to the location of the “Zeche Lohberg” restaurant. That's what's coming. We arrived around 2:00 p.m. and were the only guests. The reception by the service staff was rather professional and friendly. The waitress was busy cleaning up the traces of the previous brunch. We found it rather unusual that this included sweeping out the place despite our presence. Removing the evidence took at least half an hour. In between we were served cold drinks and our orders were also taken. The map is very clear. The food served did not meet our expectations: the roast with a completely soggy crust was not convincing, the schnitzel was ok but rather run-of-the-mill without any special features. It's a shame, we had hoped for more. Tip: We reserved in writing and received confirmation very quickly. If you had informed us about the necessary clean-up work, we would have arrived half an hour later.

We liked it very much. We can recommend schnitzel and burgers 🍔.

I really don't understand the good reviews. To keep it short: we were there with friends and waited over 1.5 hours for our food until shortly before 9 p.m.; the waitress stood in front of the counter chatting more than taking care of the guests; The ordered drinks were forgotten to be brought, after more than 1 1/4 hours you are not allowed to ask where the food is, otherwise you will be harshly reprimanded by the owner: "..., you can see that a large company is present and they come first...". No, you can't see them because they were sitting at the end of the room, covered by stands. When the food came, one dish was missing. The service did not respond to our signals, then the chef came to tell us that a meal had been forgotten. But that wouldn't be a bad thing, because the person concerned could eat from the other plates!?!. In response to our appropriate reaction, the missing food was slammed onto the table without a word 15 minutes later. If looks could kill... No apology, no free drink on the house, as is usual, nothing! Apparently you don't need it! The food in general tasted ok, but nothing more. When there was no tip for this farce, we weren't even said goodbye. Conclusion: a spoiled evening and an example of how to permanently scare away guests.

Klein aber fein, sehr schön eingerichtet in einer ruhigen Lage mitten im einen Zechengelände 👌 netter Außenbereich mit Blick auf den alten Zechenturm. Leider entschpricht die Lautstärke drinnen eher einer Schulkantine 😅 und wenn man in der von den Toiletten Sitz dann riecht man die 👎 wir waren dort brunchen, das Essen war in Ordnung der Preis auch. Highlight für Kids, Crêpes ab 11:30 👍

Kleiner als Gedacht. Schickes Ambiente.Alles sehr liebevoll dekoriert aber die Auswahl zum Frühstück war ziemlich mager. Dafür Preis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt.

Wir haben gestern dort einen schönen Abend verbracht...der Service ist wirklich sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam...Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung sind toll abgestimmt und sehr geschmackvoll...das Esser war schmackhaft und hatte eine gute Qualität...ich hatte ein Schnitzel und Maronensuppe als Vorspeise...man kann das Zeloh guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen...

Das Essen und das Ambiente war toll. Wir waren über 20 Personen und hatten zeitgleich unser Essen. Lediglich das Schreien beim Verteilen der Gerichte, wer welches Essen bekommt, hat ein wenig gestört. Ansonsten war das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Schlechter Service Personal überfordert mußte aufgefordert werden das Geschirr abzureumen

We hadden taart besteld en drinken en kregen helaas alleen taart. Die was wel redelijk van smaak. Op de tafel staat een kaartje dat je bij een positieve google review een koffie krijgt, de score wordt dus duidelijk beinvloed.

Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Enttäuschend war nur das trotz Vorbestellung die Tische für unsere Gruppe nicht zusammen gestellt wurden. Weihnachtsfeier in getrennten Grüppchen. Selbst auf Anfrage durften die Tische nicht zusammen gestellt werden. Nicht wirklich Kundenfreundlich. Deshalb nur 3 Sterne.

Leider große Enttäuschung. Haben schon lange vorher als große Gruppe reserviert und mussten heute an einzelnen Tischen sitzen. Es hat ziemlich lange gedauert bis ich mein Essen bekommen habe, zudem war der Rinderschmorrbraten kalt, habe dies zurück gehen lassen, aber kam nur etwas wärmer wieder und war zu dem sehr trocken.

Ambiente gut, essen auch gut. Wir waren mit 15Leuten dort, 3 von 5 Burger hatten ein kaltes Fleisch wo die Kellnerin erst nach der 3 Bitte diese noch einmal zurück zur Küche gegeben hat. Aussage der Kellnerin: Kann nicht sein das es kalt ist. Nicht wirklich nett uns vorzuwerfen das es nicht stimmt. Burger kam dann warm zurück. 3-4tage nach unserem Besuch kam ein Anruf das Ketchup Mayo sowie noch ein paar Kinder Eis noch nicht bezahlt wären. Sehr komisch das dieses 3tage später erst auffällt. Mayo Ketchup standen auf dem Tisch, merkwürdig. Ich überweise gerne Mayo und Ketchup aber ärgere mich mehr drüber das ich fast 10% Trinkgeld gegeben habe. Könnte ich dieses bitte zurück überwiesen oder mit dem Ketchup verrechnet bekommen?! Übrigens steht in der Karte: bei positiver Bewertung, Gratis ☕️ Kaffee Naja erste und letzte mal in diesem Restaurant.

Klasse Lokation, tolle Bedienung. Ein freundliches und nettes Miteinander unter allen, schätze ich sehr!

Sehr gut zum Frühstücken, aber auch die Currywurst ist echt gut von dort – auch wenn ich sie bisher nur per Catering/Imbiss hatte.
