The best sushi restaurant! 👍 I'm a regular customer and more than satisfied! 👍 It's always delicious!

In my opinion, this is a highly recommended restaurant. More discerning people at my table, who had more experience with sushi, found the taste somewhat lacking, but I thought it was delicious. The tablet idea is fantastic; everyone can get what they like. I'd gladly come back.

It's a fun place to go, buffet yes but because it get brought to your table it's somehow more "higher class". A little expensive but again worth every penny. I think the only thing that would make it better is if they had a way to order from your own phone. Like scan an app and order.

Good concept with a buffet menu. Orders are placed via tablets and served quickly. Numerous dishes, from sushi to fried noodles, offer almost everything. Meat lovers will also find something to their liking. Everything tastes as you would expect from such establishments. Neither unbeatably good nor incredibly bad. It's certainly not disappointing, but rather a pleasant surprise. We were with more than 8 people, so everyone should know what they were ordering. It quickly becomes confusing with larger groups. In any case, it's worth the experience.

I'd make the trip from Stuttgart to Bochum again just for the food. It's so delicious.

Overall, it was delicious and I would have given it 5 stars, but: The spinach on the menu was terrible. To paraphrase: It tasted like something that would normally come out of your mouth, not like something that would go in. So, the mix of sourness and the rest of it was completely unacceptable. If the restaurant revised the menu, it would give it 5.

The food here is incredibly expensive these days, and you could almost go out for sushi for that. You only have two hours, so it's incredibly expensive. The atmosphere is okay, not particularly cozy, and the waiters are all completely silent and hardly ever really friendly. The food is still very tasty, and it's served really quickly.

Honest opinion: Some of the waiters weren't in the mood to serve; they didn't even exchange a single sentence with us. They also just threw the plates on the table. The food itself was ordinary, nothing special. The ambiance and decor were very chaotic; it felt like a warehouse inside.

I drive an hour specifically to get there. The food is excellent and the selection is extensive. The staff there is helpful, and you don't have to wait long for your food.

Be careful, the number for telephone reservations is a special number (032) and usually costs money, even with a flat rate. In my case, it was almost €4. 2025 Update: Since December 1, 2021, there has been a legal limit of €0.09/min. Does it work here?

I've been to Yumini a few times now and I'm impressed every time! It's an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, but not a buffet. Instead, you order everything conveniently via tablet – and the food is freshly prepared and brought directly to your table. It's really convenient and much more relaxed than typical buffets. The selection is truly extensive: sushi in all varieties, hot dishes like gyoza, edamame, baked shrimp, even grilled salmon – all super delicious and beautifully presented. You can tell the food is freshly made; nothing tastes "cheap" or carelessly done. What I also really like: The service is super friendly. Everyone is attentive, explains the system when needed, and brings the food quickly and with a smile. You just feel welcome. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern, yet cozy – ideal for an evening with friends or just the two of you. You really get a lot for the price. This definitely won't be the last time I'll be there. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves sushi!

We've been going to Yumini for 6 years, whether in Bochum or Dortmund, both are great.

All you can eat, and with a tray, too! Perfect for a people-shy glutton like me :) The food is freshly prepared, the sushi tastes excellent, and yes... the selection here is generally very good. As for the staff, we've had some very nice employees and some less nice ones. I generally don't tip; I think that shouldn't be a thing here in Germany, just like in Japan, for example! The only thing I don't like so much here is the ambiance. Far too dark, and the chairs are too low and uncomfortable...

A few weeks ago, I went to Yumini in Bochum with a friend. The food was delicious, but I didn't feel well at all afterward. I've never had such severe stomach pain in my life, and I threw up three times that evening. I wasn't supposed to write a review, but my cousin texted me today to say she went to Yumini in Gelsenkirchen yesterday and felt sick all night, too, and threw up several times. Something seems to be wrong.🤷🏼‍♀️

The food was great but the staff was very unfriendly to us.

The food is always delicious, and orders arrive super quickly! We enjoy going there often. The only downside: when it's warm, it gets very hot inside. Even if you sit right by the window with the windows open... Otherwise, it's always great!

As always, it was delicious, and I ate more than I could eat. I'd go back any time.

Best asian all you can eat in Bochum!

It wasn't that great. First, the positives: the service was really super fast, but we were there right after they opened. As for the food, the quality just wasn't particularly good. The fish on the sushi definitely didn't look 100% fresh, and the meat we got was extremely fatty. You also wonder what some of the items on the menu are all about. They advertise "cheese sticks," which is actually stupid enough to order something like that, but what do you get? A giant "tube"??? Mozzarella in batter, it simply didn't look anything like the picture.

In the Yumini restaurant you can order the dishes you want from the table using a tablet if you choose all-you-can-eat. This works excellently and the dishes are of appropriate quality. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the extra charge for the 'diner' (larger selection) is justified. Both variants have a large selection of delicious dishes and are definitely worth it. Only the selection of desserts could be significantly better.

Food was quick and good, but sometimes there was very unpleasant, hectic and aggressive behavior from the kitchen staff. This didn't go unnoticed by the guests present and unfortunately reduced their visit to the restaurant.

The Yumini in Bochum is one of the best Asian/Sushi all you can eat restaurants. It is really well and tightly organized and run. The food always comes quickly and the quality was always top for me. Dessert always comes super quickly, as does the delicious ice cream. It may not be the absolute high class sushi but then you guys have to go somewhere else and not to the all you can eat place. Absolute recommendation and I will come back again and again.

The store is quite large, but the subdivisions mean it doesn't seem like a mass operation, quite the opposite. The three of us had a large table and were able to spread out easily. Ordering via a tablet is unusual at first, but it works very well. Sorted into categories, clearly arranged and with product images, you can't go wrong. If you choose the buffet, the prices are given as 0.00. If you order something at an additional cost, this is clearly visible. The drinks prices are also directly below the product. In the buffet version you could order up to 6 things 10 times per person. Immediately after ordering you have a blocking period of 5 minutes, but since you have 2 hours, that's easily enough. Plus you can't do 10 rounds. Within a very short time you have the food on the table, everything is deliciously prepared, looks great and tastes great. The service is very friendly. The toilets are plentiful, clean and well lit.

I've never written a review before, but I have to admit that I've never had sushi as bad as I've had here. I have been to many sushi restaurants and would say that I have a certain amount of experience. The food is really very heartlessly made, it is made for people who have never had sushi before and most likely won't want it again after this experience. The food was better compared to Gelsenkirchen, the ambience was similar and the service was far worse. If you can even talk about service. Rather mediocre service. Despite the "all you can eat" offer, my wife and I were not only viewed critically, we were even asked when we were finished?! It's not exactly child-friendly there either. Our 15-month-old daughter was there and we generally had the feeling of being a nuisance and even unwanted, as we also noticed how other guests were treated in contrast to us. This rejection probably only applied to selected guests. But we have already had this experience in Gelsenkirchen. This restaurant, like the sushi, cannot be recommended. Good food (especially better sushi) and nicer ones The atmosphere, which is not reminiscent of a 'burlesque bar' or similar, can also be found elsewhere with much better service. Once and not again. First and last time!! Definitely!! There were gastrointestinal problems included.

Yesterday we had lunch at Yumini in Bochum. An all-you-can-eat restaurant with modern facilities and friendly service staff. The sushi was very tasty, the rice was warm, all the ingredients were very fresh. A clear recommendation!

The food was top as always. The service was, as always, courteous and friendly. We just wanted a little something for Valentine's Day. Heart chocolate, some decoration, that sort of thing. Unfortunately there wasn't.

Came for the sushi, stayed for the ice cream! I thought it couldn't be better than the sushi at Itamae, which melts in your mouth, a dream of fish and rice. But the creamy vanilla ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever tasted. Here the gelaterian has outdone himself, you can only take your hat off to such an achievement.

Unfortunately, the other locations are more attractive and also taste better. Likewise, at least when it comes to tea, the price is a joke. Other locations have x times the amount of oolong tea in a large pot. All that came here was a small pot, almost the size of an espresso. The service tried hard but kept confusing the next table with ours. So that's twice the disappointment and never again.

Delicious sushi at a fair price! We were very satisfied with the selection and quality of the food. We can definitely recommend Yumini. Only the parking situation is a bit tense and on Saturday evening very loud bass could be heard from the neighboring location, which spoiled the experience. The ambience can also still be improved.

All in all, always worth a visit for good sushi or all you can eat, but I would prefer visiting during the week more than at the weekend. Because I think the price is raised too disproportionately.

I know the Yumini from Dortmund and have always been very satisfied here and therefore had no reservations about trying the version in Bochum. But as it turns out: absolutely incomparable! The same name is almost misleading here. On the one hand, the selection of dishes that can be ordered here is significantly smaller (and also fewer than what is shown on the website) and unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired in terms of quality and taste. Unfortunately, the fried warm dishes taste like old fat, the sushi is often mushy (I think pre-rolled and prepared) and tasteless (the individual components cannot be distinguished in texture and taste), the pickled cucumber salad, for example, was unfortunately only sliced ​​cucumbers (the in the form also found in the salads) with some indefinable liquid poured over it and so of course it doesn't absorb any flavor and and and... I'm afraid I wouldn't eat here again. For the price, I know similar “tablet restaurants” that are a lot better. Too bad.

I was there often back then, now I've been here again after a long time and I have to say, the selection has become a hell of a lot smaller. With sushi as well as dessert! What I noticed very negatively was that the nigiri sushi with omelet was still cold or almost frozen! Never again, from very good to very bad unfortunately.

I had dinner here with my wife and son. Ambiance is like that, I find the shop very dark, the benches are not very comfortable at the moment. Otherwise toilets very clean and well maintained. Service was always very nice and courteous and quick, food and drinks came to the table very quickly. I think a big minus is the black plastic dishes, the plates, the small bowls for the sauces and the dishes are all served on black plastic. Of course, in today's world, plastic is not so nice when everything is in disrepute. The sushi was very tasty and highly recommended, the breaded shrimp could have stayed in the deep fryer for a minute longer. The beef fillet is also prepared very bite-proof for a fillet. Otherwise everything was very tasty. The sauces are also very tasty. Overall, I would definitely go here again. It's best to try it out yourself, it's worth it.

Unfortunately not my favorite Yumini. I've already been to the one near Gelsenkirchen and Dortmund and this one doesn't do well in comparison. Service was initially great, I can't complain about that. Some tables are awkwardly divided and separated with plastic walls, meaning you don't have the privacy you want. Some orders arrived late even though the store was not crowded. Unfortunately, I didn't like the fried things at all. The selection of food was kept small compared to the other locations. I will therefore no longer visit this Yumini in Bochum.

We were there yesterday with 19 people. The negative point was that we were seated right at the entrance, which we really didn't like. After asking if we could do something there, we got a rude no from a waitress who generally seemed very unfriendly and annoyed! We reserved a table for 7 people last night. When the two of us arrived, we were waved away at the door with “Pick any place.” We then emphasized that we had reserved a table for 7. Sushi tastes good and is fresh, but nothing special. But it would be my first choice here in Bochum. The seats are comfortable and the ambience is also good and seems rather upscale, but unfortunately it doesn't quite come through because of the close proximity to one another. The volume is okay or loud depending on where you sit. What didn't work at all today was a waitress who sneezed into her hand and then just continued without washing her hands. She touched everything from food to drinks and then rubbed her finger under her nose several times. This is really disgusting and has no place in any restaurant.

The quality and price/performance is good. The sushi was well made and tasted very tasty 😋. I really liked the robust concrete/industrial look with the interior 🤗 The highlight is of course ordering from your own tray 🤩 at the table. This means you can order something much more spontaneously, which is definitely in the operator's interests 🤑 😂. I would visit again 👍

I had dinner there for the first time with a friend. The basic idea is very good. Because everything can be ordered via tablet. The food is delicious, but you have to choose what you want. If you don't know something, you order a portion for two people and share it. The orders came very quickly after being entered into the tablet. There was one drawback and that was the service. It's delivered quickly and so are the drinks, but unfortunately friendliness isn't really part of it, which I think is a shame. In places the food was “thrown” on the table. There is no response to a thank you. For this reason only 3 stars because at least the food and drinks were delivered quickly and correctly.

We were there for the second time yesterday. I had fond memories of the restaurant. We had the all you hab eat menu. On the first visit we noticed that the second portion of beef fillet was no longer beef fillet but a different piece. Yesterday, even the first portion of beef fillet was not fillet but rather steak rump. When asked, the complaint was laughed away and said it was the first time they had heard it. If you offer beef fillet as all you have eaten, then you should serve that too and not take people for a fool and declare steak rump as fillet. I only give one star because of how the staff issue is handled. All in all the food is ok, lots of choice but not cheap either.

I've been to Yumini 3 times and from experience I can say that the food is extremely tasty and, above all, served quickly. I'm vegan myself and I had a relatively good selection. I'm just unsure whether everything was really vegan because it was labeled that way on the iPad. For example, sushi with tamago is ultimately suhis with egg. Overall, would definitely recommend it! Even with friends we only made it to round 4-5 at most.

I only go to the restaurant briefly to pick up an order that I placed through to good to go. It looked very nice, the staff were friendly, the food was very good.

A bit run down, if you don't know anything about Asian food it could be satisfactory. It was very warm and stuffy, as there seemed to be no air conditioning (it was summer), fish wasn't fresh (I could hardly get the salmon down), sushi rice was warm, selection was poor compared to other all-you-can eats. But service was very nice.

The food was carelessly put on the table and we had to distribute it ourselves. The taste of the food was okay.

Today we had a pleasant visit to a sushi place. Overall, everything tasted very good and the service was easy and quick. However, the employees didn't seem particularly friendly and some people looked at me strangely. This could be because it was late in the evening and everyone was already exhausted. The bright white light from above wasn't particularly pleasant either. With the all-you-can-eat offer, you could have at least offered water or other drinks for free, as the price of over 30 euros is quite high. Still, the dishes were delicious and I would give the whole thing a solid 7 out of 10.
