Best Friends Sushi in Bochum

Very tasty but very expensive, but that's what you'd expect from sushi! The ambiance, yeah, you can see a huge apartment building from outside. Okay, but the service was very friendly.

Based on a recommendation, I tried the crispy duck with rice yesterday. The duck meat was truly tender and crispy, and the rice with a fantastic dressing was simply delicious. I'll be back.

Very good and high-quality sushi, but the portion size is a bit small. I wish there were a bit more on the plate so I wouldn't feel the need to eat more after eating. We ordered the sushi platter for two people; it looked fantastic and was delicious.

We were only here on a recommendation for a group; I just wanted to eat sushi without the buffet. Lots of choice, but unfortunately, the menu isn't clear enough for sushi newbies. The recommendation allowed us to choose the right thing. It was very good. We were all very satisfied. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The sushi wasn't tasty. Even the ginger wasn't really tasty. The chicken skewer was good. We had very friendly service.

We've been coming here regularly for years, but sadly, it's over now. It's visually appealing, but the value for money is simply no longer there. €17 for a bowl, including €7 for the meat alone – completely excessive. The portion and taste were average at best. Afterward, we went to Wok n Roll and had summer rolls – at least the value for money there is still good. It's a shame how things have turned out here.

The food is delicious, but the price-performance ratio isn't right for me. Little on the plate for a lot of money.

I ordered a dish from the recommended menu and was pleasantly surprised. The duck was very juicy with a great sauce. It's worth trying. The service was quick and the waiters were very friendly.

Truly excellent sushi. From the ambiance to the service, it was very satisfying. The other guests were also a pleasant part of the evening.

After a visit to the observatory, we decided to try Best Friends Sushi. The selection is very good and varied. The taste is incredibly good and plentiful. The service was also very friendly and attentive. I would recommend it anytime.

We always enjoyed eating or ordering from Best Friends. Standing in front of a closed door for the second time today. The opening times were not adjusted either on the website or on Google. Since we don't come from Bochum, today is unfortunately our last time as best friends Bochum. Very, very unfortunate

The food was really delicious and the service was friendly. We would love to come back.

Unfortunately, I didn't find the red curry on the lunch menu tasty. It wasn't spicy at all, the vegetables and tofu were cut way too big, so in the end you had to use a knife to cut them into bite-sized pieces. We sat in the back area and it smelled like a toilet. Next time I would rather eat sushi and sit in the front area.

Best Friends ist immer eine gute Wahl, wenn es um Sushi geht. Der Service ist aufmerksam und unkompliziert. Das Sushi ist sehr lecker, der einzige minimale Kritikpunkt ist, dass ich mir mit der Renovierung auch ein paar neue Sushi- Kombinationen erhofft hätte… die Karte ist ausgenommen der Monatsrolle in den letzten Jahren fast gleich geblieben.

It was a successful evening! The service was top, the food was fresh and simply incredibly tasty. In addition, all the dishes were lovingly and beautifully prepared. Reservation is recommended.

So far we have only ordered sushi to take away here. Yesterday we treated ourselves to something in the restaurant. The Tom Kha Gay (my absolute favorite soup) was the worst of all the soups I've tried so far. Also today, for the first time in my life, I had vomiting diarrhea after going to a restaurant. Thanks for that! And that too for very expensive money.

We got a table today at 4:30 p.m. without a reservation, when we left all the tables were reserved and you can also pay by card!!! 😄 So you better make a reservation. Great food ☺️ Service very friendly. Attention entrance/exit LEVEL 😁!!! Gladly again 😃

You will be warmly welcomed and shown to your seat. The menu leaves nothing to be desired. You can also express any wish. I had Spicy Crunchi Roll with salmon and a TomYam Gung soup. Both very tasty! It is nice and bright in the restaurant and no loud music disturbs the ambience. Very pleasant. The service was very nice and attentive. We will come again. I can recommend reserving a table, especially on the weekend.

Food and ambience don't matter. You order there because you like the food. Ordered food through Wolt. Got something completely different. I then called and was told that the error was clear. My food was still there. Still, no one could help me. The offer was: a credit note for the next time. But that won't happen. It is an absolute disgrace to work with a delivery service and not be able to serve them or supposedly not be able to contact them. After the first failure to serve a dish with meat to a vegetarian, now the next failure. That was it finally. My conclusion: AVOID!!!

I really enjoy coming here to eat. The only thing that bothers me is the mini tables in the entrance area. If it's just two of you eating, you'll be seated here. Unfortunately, that's not really comfortable.

One of the best sushi yoy can get in Bochum. Tasting delicious and fresh (you actually see the chef preparing it in from of you). A nicely decorated an clean place. The only thin I would Chang was the music... It wasn't music I would listen while eating. Nevertheless we're going to come back for sure 😊

Visiting family and dropped by this place for dinner. The food was great, and the service was quick and amazing. Highly recommend trying the sesame ice cream.

We always enjoy eating here, the restaurant has been completely remodeled and looks great. The food tasted great again and the sushi was just perfect. The sushi master makes a manufacture with the sushi. In my opinion, Best friends Bochum is the best sushi in the Bermuda Triangle.

The food was again excellent and the service was very attentive and friendly. I used to like the ambience better without the neon tube decoration - but you can almost ignore it.

A long time ago it was considered an insider tip. Best Friends is now extremely popular. And it still tastes excellent and is, for me, the best sushi in Bochum. There are also options to sit outside, which is great in summer.

Had a great sushi platter for 2 people, which was a really reasonable portion for the price. Quality was good and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back!

There was a little lack of seasoning, but the soy sauce made it okay and no complaints were necessary. The service was very courteous.

Dear Team! We “landed” in this sushi restaurant by chance because we were going to the Herbert Grönemeyer concert that day. We found this restaurant through “Open Table” and had a great meal there. Nice welcome, good service and equally great sushi, which was very tastefully, fresh and appetizingly prepared. We enjoyed it. The only point of criticism is the ambience. The pictures of the restaurant on the website are perfect, but there is still “live” potential for improvement. The price/performance ratio was always right because we know how complex the production and quality of sushi is. In any case, for us the meal was a successful start before the concert and for us it was better than the best currywurst in Bochum ;-) Thank you very much and good luck 👍

Staff, despite the customers, were quite unfriendly, disinterested, you were served briefly, otherwise the staff gossiped about private matters. Sushi was rolled quite tightly, with little texture, I like eating sushi with my fingers.

Best sushi quality! Tasty, fresh, good portion sizes. A menu to suit every taste! Great service! No long waiting times. The restaurant is attractive, but the tables are sometimes very close together, and in the entrance area (despite the heavy curtain) there is a draft every time the door is opened. Reservations recommended!

best food i've ever had in my life and by saying this i really mean it service was 11/10 food was 100/10 (tried yakitori bowl beef, ramen bowl with chicken and sushi bowl with big prawn) the bowls are quite huge too! drinks 100/10 (had a raspberry mojito and the best friends special drink which is a mix of lychee and sprite) would recomend anyone

The food is truly world class! Quality and appearance are really at their best. If you're tired of the mass-produced "all you can eat" restaurants, you've come to the right place. Here you get sushi the way it should be! Of course the whole thing has its price... you should calculate around 40-50 euros per person. Clear recommendation!

Very nice service, vegan food selection a bit poor... Very simple and doesn't blow your mind. Relatively small portions for the price.

We were just nearby and hungry. Because the “ramen” is supposed to be so good according to various reviews, we tried Best Friends. Nobody comes here because of this thin, bland soup with very little ingredients. Some ingredients were missing and so the broth was changed slightly by the kitchen. The service employee told us that the soups weren't going well - I immediately believe that. Therefore, sometimes not every component is available. The owner can safely take these dishes off the menu. Price-performance ratio is very poor, a lot of liquid, hardly any insert, far too expensive for what you get.

The constant price increases are just outrageous. Every few weeks and then a euro more.

Geschmacklich voll in Ordnung und der Service ist auch sehr nett, jedoch sind die Preise sehr hoch angesetzt und die Portionen vergleichsweise mickrig... der Sushi Teller für 2 Personen reicht nichteinmal für eine Person. Ich alleine hätte vermutlich den Sushiteller für 4 Personen nehmen müssen (90€ oder sowas!) und wenn der im gleichen Maßstab gewachsen wäre wie der Sushi Teller für 2 Personen, hätte der vermutlich auch nicht gereicht.. (ps. Wir waren zu 4. Dort und jedem erging es ähnlich) (pps. Jeder von uns hatte zusätzlich eine Vorspeise (Suppe))

Einfach nur 5 Sterne verdient ⭐️ Das Essen war unfassbar lecker, egal ob warme Gerichte mit Fleisch, Sushi vegetarisch oder Sushi mit Fisch. Mit sehr viel Liebe gemacht und schön angerichtet. Die Bedienung auch sehr freundlich, und das Ambiente auch zum Wohlfühlen. Preislich wirklich sehr fair, und im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Läden, sehr gut. Ich empfehle es weiter 🫶🏽

Ich war heute das erste Mal da. Das Restaurant kann man prima mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichen. Parkplätze gibt es in der Umgebung auch. Diese sind allerdings kostenpflichtig. Das Essen war mega lecker. Die Servicekräfte super freundlich. Ich werde defintiv nochmal dort essen gehen.

Sushi sehr lecker, auch der ungewöhnlich servierte Spinat war sehr lecker. Die Suppe hätte ich mir sparen können. Bei dem Ambiente ist noch Luft nach oben. Der Service war gut, die Preise sind, wenn man satt werden möchte, nicht so günstig. Würde aber wiederkommen, da es lecker war.
