Our favorite restaurant in town - always a table available for us, even without a reservation, delicious food, ample time for everyone to get full, child-friendly and a very nice owner.

Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste like it used to, very disappointing.

The food and selection are excellent, and the service is great too. We've been there several times and would gladly visit Yoyo again.

The beef wasn't cooked well. We both also had digestive problems that night. Nothing serious, but we hadn't experienced that at similar restaurants before. The owner/waiter also seemed brusque and impatient. Otherwise, it was okay. It used to be noticeably better.

This past weekend was my fourth time eating here, and I've had good experiences so far. The food is reasonably priced and definitely tastes good. The variety is also impressive. The tables are sometimes a bit close together, but you can manage, and the atmosphere is perfectly fine. The basic concept is all-you-can-eat, where you can order up to 20 items at your table using a tablet and then wait 15 minutes before you can order again. The food is brought to the tables promptly. You also order drinks via tablet, but since these have to be paid for separately, they aren't included in the main order. This restaurant prefers cash payments, which are calculated for you using a calculator. So far, everything is fine, and I would give it 4-5 stars. The reason I'm only giving it one star is that I got food poisoning during my last visit. I felt fine all day, but less than two hours after leaving the restaurant, I started experiencing extreme stomach cramps and vomiting. This lasted for four hours. I felt fine again the next day. Since I was the only one in our group who ate eel, salmon, tuna, and calamari, and everyone else was fine, I suspect that contaminated fish ended up in the sushi.

Very disappointing. The service was very friendly. Of course, you have to make compromises with an "all you can eat" buffet, but the food was very disappointing. I tried a lot of things. Everything tasted the same, like sweet soy sauce and sweet rice. If you just want to fill up, this is the place for you. It has nothing to do with Japanese culinary culture. A real shame.

The service was so bad that we decided not to go there again. The waiter was in a very bad mood. I can understand if you have too many customers to serve, but it wasn't even that busy that evening, yet we were treated very poorly.

Chinese restaurant attenpting to offer Japanese isakaya-style food. Staff is friendly and service effective, prices reasonable for the location. However don't except much in terms of food quality, if you steer away from gyoza and beer. For non-Germans: payment only cash or with EC-Karte (old-style German bank card).

The owner is extremely unfriendly. We've never experienced anything so bad. You pay a lot of money for a bit of stuffed rice and then get rudely treated, and this wasn't an isolated incident. During our stay, we repeatedly witnessed the owner and/or the staff speaking rudely to guests. Then, sushi was brought and thrown on the floor because the printed label was stuck to it, which is simply unhygienic. No replacement sushi was brought, which was wasted as a result of this incident. You also overhear the owner clearly and openly talking badly about the guests to the staff and getting upset. One star is unfortunately still too generous.

The food was quite reasonable. The taste was definitely not as good as we're used to in the Netherlands, and the hot dishes are a bit simpler but still delicious. The price was excellent, at just under 28 euros (excluding drinks).

Yesterday, the two of us spontaneously stopped by for dinner – without a reservation – and were seated immediately. The welcome was very friendly, and the service throughout the evening was also extremely attentive. We chose the evening buffet and were pleasantly surprised: you order conveniently via a tablet, and the dishes are freshly prepared and brought directly to your table. Absolutely brilliant, as you don't have to get up all the time and can still enjoy a wide selection. The food itself was outstanding – very fresh, delicious, and absolutely plentiful. Theoretically, you could order countless rounds in two and a half hours, but we were extremely hungry and only managed three and a half, and we were more than full and very satisfied. Summary: An all-around perfect evening, one that we will definitely repeat soon. An absolute recommendation! 🌟

The food is mediocre, but the service is totally rude - I won't eat there again.

The food was good and delicious. It was a lovely evening until it came to paying. We wanted to pay by card (debit), but the waiter told us it wouldn't work. We asked if we could pay by other means (credit, PayPal), but the waiter said no, saying only debit cards would work. Since we didn't have enough cash with us and no one had a card to withdraw money, we told the waiter that we were either paying with our debit card (Apple Pay) or not at all. The reader is definitely designed for debit cards. I have to say, it has nothing to do with good, customer-oriented service. We ate and drank for €120 and would have even given a €10 tip, but the waiter (owner?) was just concerned about the 1-2% fee for paying with a debit card. There was no sign outside stating that payment should only be made with debit cards. Any card will work, but it's just not welcome. Simply embarrassing; it was our first and last time there.

Very nice staff, great value for money

We wanted to try this restaurant because we were craving sushi, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Upon arrival, I politely asked about the ordering system. However, the waiter's response was very unfriendly and annoyed, almost rude. This immediately left a bad impression. The food quality was also poor: Many dishes didn't seem fresh, and some of the sushi made us more worried than hungry. Fried dishes tasted strongly of old oil that hadn't been changed in a long time. The portions were also very small. The bad experience continued when paying: The waiter was again unfriendly and even angrily threw the receipt from the debit machine on the counter, which was completely disrespectful and unpleasant. Conclusion: We definitely won't be back. I advise everyone not to visit this restaurant.

Absolutely disgusting! The sushi tasted old and anything but fresh, and the fried dishes were dripping with old oil. The old man was already annoyed when he explained the tablet, and when we paid, he yelled at us because we hadn't finished everything. When we got home, we got diarrhea on top of it all. Empty restaurant, lousy food, unfriendly, and all the five-star reviews are definitely fake. Never again!

Absolute disappointment!! I've rarely eaten as badly as I did here, and the service was absolutely unfriendly. When we asked, they irritated us and explained how to order via the tablet (one order of 5 small dishes every 15 minutes, e.g., 1 sake, 1 mini piece of salmon, etc.). You also had to order the sauce separately each time, and it felt like it was only a tablespoon. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired, and everything tasted like the oil in the fryer hadn't been changed in years. At the end, we were yelled at for not finishing all of the food, in a tone I've never experienced in a restaurant before... Last but not least, everyone ended up with stomach problems 👍👍

Very unfriendly service by an older gentleman. Instead of a greeting, we received only a rude "What is it?" Without a reservation, we were immediately told to leave. That's not how you feel as a guest. I definitely won't be coming back here!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been a regular here for several years, and I come here especially by train from Frankfurt because everything about this restaurant is so wonderful. The atmosphere is fantastic, the tables and restrooms are super clean, and the service is extremely friendly and fast; you don't have to wait long for the food. But the best thing of all is the quality, which keeps me coming back. There's a huge selection of food, but the quality is still excellent! And the price is a total bargain! I can honestly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Best buffet in Germany!! You get value for your money here! Both the food and the restaurant owner are absolutely lovely. I especially recommend the gyoza, miso soup, fried rice, and vegetables. Definitely go here, it's worth it!

Unfortunately, the shop made a great impression in the first six months after opening, but then steadily declined. I simply can't recommend it anymore. It's definitely a strange pattern that sushi shops in particular start out strong and then, sooner or later, become very bad.

Sushi was quite dry, same for the noodles. No one spoke English, so it was a bit difficult to order and understand anything.

A nice selection of dishes to order, the cocktails are also relatively inexpensive and tasty, although the fish dishes weren't particularly outstanding. However, the other dishes were very tasty, and for about €28, you can't complain. Almost everyone should have their hunger satisfied after one visit.

This was our first time at YOYO Sushi & Grill and we were unfortunately disappointed. I don't know if the people who wrote these reviews have never been anywhere else, but unfortunately, it wasn't that good. Several times, the food we ordered was forgotten, and it took a very, very long time for the food to even arrive. The atmosphere was okay... They could improve a bit. When we were there, there were so few staff that even the chef had to help out in the restaurant (even though it wasn't even remotely full). Unfortunately, I have to give the food 3 out of 5 stars because it was really just mediocre. We were really looking forward to it, but unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. But that doesn't mean it's always like this.

There were three of us there (two adults and one child). The positive thing was that the restaurant was incredibly clean and the staff were very friendly. Ordering via tablet wasn't a negative either. Unfortunately, everything that was fried was so covered in grease that some of it was inedible and we had to leave some of it. The same went for the fried noodles. The vegetable salad was completely watery and tasteless. The maki sushi and rice were fine. It's a shame; overall, the price-performance ratio was definitely not right.

You can't have a 15 minute timer on your watch. 10 minutes – okay... but 15 minutes for 5 small mini portions!? That's pretty bold! On top of that, the sauces have to be ordered separately and then use up an order slot... there is hardly anything in the bowls, so you actually have to reorder every round. You are alienating your customers. Maybe you should ask yourself why there is so much more going on at Sakura.

The food was quite ok, although the "fried noodles" were stale mushy yum-yum noodles with a few scallions. Sushi and the rest were okay, the fried food tasted a little off. Food was always there quickly, but none of the waitresses said a word. All in all, there are better all you can eats in Kassel.

Unfortunately, my second visit was also not satisfactory. Price performance is not right at all. For €30 you expect a different quality of sushi. The highlight was the rudeness of the boss. A nice "have a nice evening" from my friend was not responded to. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, there are plenty of other all-you-can-eat shops that are much cheaper and friendlier

My husband and I always enjoy going to YOYO because it is always clean, the atmosphere is relaxed, the employees are always very polite and, above all, the food is consistently good. The individual portions are small, fine, fresh and taste good. We like that the fried and fried food is not too greasy, the sushi and the fruit and vegetables are always fresh. If there was one more thing we could wish for, it would be mochi on the dessert menu. Otherwise: again and again!

We go out for sushi regularly and yesterday it was anything but good. The fried noodles were inedible. Wobbly and tasteless. The sushi wasn't good quality. Some of the rice was even warm. At the end, the others received an aperitif, we were treated differently because we paid by card and were asked to come forward. For me it was the last time.

i don’t get the low review because the taste of the dishes are good. especially the flambierte sushis and the tofutasche🤤🤤 about the size, it is pretty small than other sushi restaurant but it’s an AYCE restaurant so if it’s too small then just order more??? and the fish was also pretty fresh. about the unfriendly service, i don’t think he was unfriendly (me and my husband even think he was friendly) because i could understand that with a full house he only worked with 1 other server so he cant be too friendly with each guests cause then he won’t get his works finished so he needs to be fast (i worked in gastronomie too so i could totally understand him). and i would definitely come back here👍🏻👍🏻

Best food ever!. I like coming to this restaurant.

Went there for dinner today. There were only three tables occupied. Personally, I think it's nice to order with the tray, you get small portions and I think there are far fewer leftovers that are then thrown away. In terms of taste, I found some things good and others not so good, it's just a matter of taste. I found service very nice. Ambiance very plain and simple.

The concept is unusual but everything was very good: food, staff, atmosphere, everything was great.

We were there for the first time. The food is ordered from a tray. Unfortunately these are not dishes, but rather tapas. Sushi and some seafood or some meat taste ok, but don't reach the level of classic Asian restaurants or snack bars. You can visit once but we were mainly not very satisfied with the taste of the food. Otherwise very friendly hosts and a nice location.

We have eaten here several times and each time it has been very good. The boss is always very friendly and accommodating. It is also no problem bringing our dog with us. We will definitely come back to eat here often.

Too disgusting, I have no idea if they've tried their food themselves. The system is designed so that you make a minus, so you wait 15 minutes cheekily and 15 rounds, and you are thrown out after 2 hours, so you don't manage these 15 rounds at all. Lousy rip off and the food is disgusting. Very bad for such a price and such a small selection.

That was really terrible!!! I will never come here again. The food is inedible and the staff is unfriendly. Everything happens slowly and the atmosphere is very unfriendly. The food is oversalted and warmed up in the microwave. The rice in the sushi was dried out and seemed to be from yesterday. The best and tastiest thing was the cola. If I could give it a 0, I would give it a 0.

Service and ambience are good. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. In terms of taste and freshness, that's the be-all and end-all of sushi in my opinion, just mediocre. If you've eaten sushi in other restaurants in Kassel, you won't be happy here. The concept with the tablet is quite funny, however. I didn't know that before.

Best Chinese restaurant I've eaten at so far. The food can be ordered via tablet; it is of very high quality and is also nice and warm. No more annoying crowds at overcrowded buffets. The staff is incredibly friendly, the ambience takes some getting used to as it seems very dark. Overall, it's worth taking a few miles for this type of food.

Yo-Yo Sushi is absolutely recommended! The selection is very diverse and there is something for everyone. Apart from sushi, other things such as baked/roasted duck or chicken are also available, which will make even non-sushi lovers happy after a visit to Yo-Yo.

We have always enjoyed going to the Chinese buffet. Something for everyone and eat in peace. When I read about this concept, I was a bit skeptical at first. Order via tablet and only a limited number per order....... I couldn't really place it. Now we are both excited!!! Choose your food on the tablet and a short time later it is there, with every order being freshly prepared (which you can really taste!!!). No warm food, just fresh ingredients and prepared very, very tasty. Added to this is friendly and courteous service, what more could you want.

It is not possible to give more than 5 stars, but everything, service, quality, ambience, everything makes you feel good. Great boss, great team, I'm looking forward to coming back soon :-)

The food was delicious. Unfortunately we had small maggots floating around in the sushi from the first round. One of the employees took it back after we showed it to him, he said that it was still in the afternoon and that the sushi had been left in the heat for too long. We then received new sushi fairly quickly and we didn't notice anything strange after that, but of course you were shocked by this. Furthermore, the food was tasty, dinner is not expensive and you pay about 4 euros for a drink. Furthermore, you get enough time and rounds to get completely full.

The taste of the food is good. But the service is no more enjoyable than the ambience. Terrible. I just stayed there out of convenience. The boss is very nice. But the restaurant is only for people up to the age of 20 and in groups.

If you want to eat sushi in Kassel, this isn't necessarily the best place to go. We were here years ago and wanted to give it another chance. In terms of price, it's absolutely okay, but the quality of the fried food wasn't particularly good, wontons tasted a lot like old fat and weren't particularly crispy either. The sushi was okay, but it would be a bit too expensive just for that. So we also ordered ice cream and duck, which was okay so far. Only everything fried tastes slightly like old fat, so you shouldn't eat too much of it (danger of stomach ache)

After many mixed sushi shops, I'm really happy that I finally went to YOYO. The menu is so diverse and offers not only classic sushi, but also lots of fried foods, salads and desserts. You order via a tablet and the sushi comes to you promptly and fresh. Great recommendation. Afterwards we went to the cinema together, which rounded off the evening. Unfortunately we lost our car keys, which dampened the mood a bit.

I've been there several times and every time it's really good. While the sushi isn't as good as in sushi-only restaurants, it's much better than in most other buffet restaurants. The warm food is always freshly made and, what I like most, is not too greasy. My favorite is the kimchi. The service is at its best, they are always friendly and accommodating.

As so often, we enjoy the always delicious sushi and grill variations, as well as the fast and warm service. We were looking forward to the reopening and are just as excited as before 😋👍 We always recommend booking in advance to make sure you get a table at the time you want 😉

FAKE! I can't understand the average rating of >4 stars at all. There are no Japanese people running the business, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There are really good Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants. The saké barrels in the entrance area are intended to give the impression of Japanese flair. A few tiny portions of meat and fish in the all-you-can-eat menu are OK, vegetables are rather boring and unseasoned. When cucumber with soy sauce is sold as traditional cucumber salad (涼拌黃瓜), it is incredibly embarrassing. We actually experienced that here. The waiters are trained to process things quickly and disappear in a flash (before any criticism). Good restaurants in Kassel are unfortunately rare, but this place is pretty below average. The good location next to the cinema is probably the only reason for its existence.

Unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all. Some of the food was cold. But it was much worse that a lot of it was just served deep fried in a greasy dough coating. In terms of taste, the food wasn't a highlight either. For 27.90 euros per person for the buffet you would expect a better result.

Been there many times, quality varies extremely between lunch and evening (better, but also more expensive, buffet/tablet order). Anyone who appreciates good sushi will not be happy here, the other dishes became smaller and smaller over the years until finally only 3cm pieces of salmon or beef were left alone on the plates. Portions far too small for the long waiting time between orders and everything was very oily/greasy. It has also become quite expensive now (the buffet in the evening was almost 30 euros per person), while at the same time the quality has noticeably decreased. Very unfortunate. With one exception, service was always okay to friendly, but people constantly claimed that card payments weren't possible because the device was broken (it was never working when we were there). Then just put a sign on the front that says “cash only” and that’s it. I won't go there anymore and just wait. Who knows, maybe the restaurant will get better again. We would be happy.

The service was unfriendly, you had to endure a 15 minute delay per round and you were only allowed to order five sushis per person. Even a spoon or wasabi had to be ordered as a meal, and the time lock was extended by another 15 minutes. Then I was only allowed to pay with an EC card, as credit cards are not accepted. Every sushi had an incredibly sweet sauce that tasted disgusting. Everything is just terrible. How can you eat there???

The service was very unfriendly and the sushi was unfortunately inedible because there was a lot of rice and little fish. You even had to give up a slot for a spoon or wasabi (sauce). You only get five pieces per person and if you have to give up a spoon as a slot, you can wait forever for your food.

The orders are processed cleanly and it shows. At the All You can eat Sakura next door, dishes were often forgotten, so we went here. Based on some reviews... I think some Germans find Asian politeness to be rude?! I can not understand. Everyone was very friendly. We were there today and it was very tasty. We will be happy to come back. The prices are okay too. The sushi in particular is highly recommended.
