This is the second time that you have to wait half an hour for service with an empty drink.

This was definitely our last visit to Shinyu! On a Saturday when the weather is great and the place is full, I can still put up with the fact that you have to wait 25 minutes to order. But the fact that after another (!) hour of waiting, the preparation of the sushi hadn't even started, while other tables whose guests arrived later than us had already had their food is simply bad service. In addition, the restaurant didn't believe us when we complained. Our order was only made 40 minutes ago. First: "just 40 minutes ago"! *Shakes head* Secondly, this was because our order only found its way into the kitchen about 20 minutes after the waitress was at our table. We were able to see this from the printed order receipt that was hanging in the kitchen and shown to us. That was just embarrassing.

Nach mehreren Besuchen finfe ich, dass man hier nur ausnahmsweise freundlich bedient wird. Meist ist die Bedienung irgendwas zwischen depressiv - unwirsch - genervt und gestresst. Die Misosuppe ist sehr lecker, das Sushi gut. Insgesamt kein wirklich erfreulicher Besuch.

This restaurant offers average to reasonably good quality sushi. They are visually appealing, the portions are quite large and the price-performance ratio is good. The dressing of the salmon skin salad with hoisin or oyster sauce is too intense for my taste. I would have preferred a yuzu dressing or a light vinaigrette. I have to say that I prefer light flavors (口味清淡). Others may like the salad. Overall, a recommended fast food restaurant.👍

Very tasty sushi, perhaps the best in Kassel. But ... We reserved a table for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and were immediately informed when we arrived that we could only have the table until 7:30 p.m. Ordered food and when after an hour there was still nothing on the table, we politely asked if they had forgotten us. To which I replied sloppily that there were a lot of orders for pickup. When the sushi finally came, it wasn't quite what was ordered. The complaint was accepted only reluctantly, but was quickly corrected. It's a shame, we always enjoyed being there, but in the future it would be better not to go there on a Saturday.

We were very excited. The food was very tasty and it was great that there wasn't just sushi on offer. We only went by recommendation ourselves and can really recommend the store. It makes sense to reserve on weekends.

It was relatively empty and we immediately got a seat for two. Service was hardly available, we were asked once for drinks and we took advantage of the opportunity to order our food straight away. Despite what was advertised on the menu, neither green tea nor miso soup was served with the menu. The sushi itself was only good but not good enough to excuse the slow, inattentive service. AYCE Running Sushi downtown would have made more sense.

Delicious. We have Sake Inside Out and California Inside Out. Both were very good. I'll be back. Good prices and good quality.

Shinyu has been the best sushi shop in Kassel for us so far. Last week I ordered sushi again and picked it up. I had already wondered. There was usually a waiting time of 45-60 minutes for collection. This time it was only 25 minutes... When we got home again, after the first bite, disappointment came. The sushi was nowhere near the taste we were used to. That's really a pity. I definitely won't order sushi here again! No longer recommended.

The food tastes good, but you should finally keep up with the times and find out what options there are for accepting card payments. Only EC is offered here. Unfortunately we missed the sign, but I assume that from a restaurant with such prices, where the average price is over €60 for 2 people, they also accept all common cards. Anyway, we wanted to pay. Visa debit doesn't work. So I go to the next machine. Out of order. So all the machines in your city center. I spent an hour on the road getting cash because of a few cents in fees. Is that customer service, because you're imagining sending customers all over the city to get cash? Rather negative when you can pay under €5 with any card in other stores. Nowadays there are super cheap conditions at Sumup or Payone. At Paypne z.j. 1.39% per transaction. With Paypne 0.79% and the device costs €1 per month. I was able to find that out in just 5 seconds of Googling. There are definitely cheaper providers out there. That's not even €1 on a €70 bill. Just add it and don't lose any customers. In any case, next time I'll go somewhere else where I can pay with Visa. In other countries, even beggars take all sorts of card payments

Shinyu Sushi has been a hotspot for enjoyment for me for several years and I enjoy experiencing it again and again. While the central location is convenient, it's true that curbside parking is limited. Sometimes difficult when picking up. Nevertheless, the restaurant offers the opportunity to sit both inside and outside, with a pleasant atmosphere. To be sure you get a seat and avoid waiting times, making a reservation by phone is essential for both dining in and pickup. But I promise your patience will be rewarded! The sushi is the best in the city, and I dare say that it is unparalleled beyond the borders of Kassel. The freshness and quality of the prepared dishes are outstanding. I've had bad sushi experiences in other cities in the past, but Kassel completely convinced me with this restaurant. Here every dish is freshly prepared with love and care. Prices are reasonable, and although you may not be able to afford this treat every day, it is definitely an investment in an exceptional dining experience. I can fully recommend the Shinyu Sushi Restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit.🍣🍱

Good sushi, friendly service, great ambience. The waiting time is often a little longer, but that's not a problem for me. I like to be there. Eating out is possible, but packaging costs an extra charge. Good place for sushi, but not the best in Kassel for me.

Very tasty food, fresh ingredients and a nice atmosphere. The only small criticism: Some waitresses sometimes seem a bit bad-tempered and you sometimes have to wait quite a long time for service. For me it's still the best sushi restaurant I've visited so far and I'm always happy to come back!

I'm really having trouble rating anything here. I waited 60 minutes for my food and didn't get it. From then on I just got too stupid and left. I only paid for 2 drinks and asked what that was all about. When I went to the front after 60 minutes all I saw was the food just starting to be made. And I didn't understand the excuse that it was busy at the moment because some customers who came later got their food and I didn't. Simply not recommended

Reservations should definitely be made during peak times, as the space is used effectively but there are not enough seats for the rush. But you can easily order takeaway.

We had to wait and pay attention for almost half an hour to place our order for drinks and food. Although the first round of drinks and the appetizer arrived relatively quickly, we had to wait almost an hour for the sushi we ordered at the same time, and we were no longer offered any drinks. Only after we drew attention to ourselves again was I able to order another drink. It was the same story with the desserts too. Overall, the dishes we ordered were tasty, but unfortunately the service was in need of improvement during our visit. With a consumption of around 35-40 euros per head for four people, I would have expected more.

We have been guests there regularly, but unfortunately we have often had the experience that on weekends the tables are only allocated for 1.5 hours, but you have to wait almost an hour for the food, while take-out orders are given priority here, like on an assembly line be passed over the counter. The worst thing is that you are asked to leave as soon as the time is up! It doesn't seem to matter whether you've already finished drinking or eating. The following guests are also visibly uncomfortable when you are thrown out because of them. Please give the tables more time!!! Very unfriendly and not service oriented. I only give the two stars for the good food.

Am Freitagabend ist es natürlich rappel voll … das Personal freundlich und im Stress, das Essen frisch und lecker. Aber und es gibt ja fast immer eins … alles hat zu lange gedauert. Ob wir als Familie jetzt besonders ungeduldig sind, kann ich nicht gut einschätzen. Und bei vollem Restaurant neigt man ja zu Verständnis, obwohl 🤔 ist das nicht genau das was sich jeder Restaurantbesitzer wünscht. Und wenn ich dann noch sehe wie im Minutentakt die Außer-Haus-Bestellungen tütenweise rausgehen während wir schon 20 Minuten warten?! Warten zum Bestellen, warten auf die Getränke - warten auf das Essen , was dann pro Gericht einzeln und im 5 Minutentakt aufgetischt wird( zwischendurch wieder 3 Tüten für Außer-Haus) stelle ich mir doch die Frage , wo die Prioritäten liegen. An der hohen Nachfrage ( Essen wirklich lecker und auch nicht teuer) leidet dann doch die Servicequalität. Dann ist das Bier auch mal warm… Ich wünsche einen schönen Abend 😉

Ich komme schon seit vielen Jahren her und finde das das Shinyu noch immer die beste Adresse für Sushi in Kassel ist. Jede Bestellung wird frisch zubereitet also sollte man etwas Zeit mitbringen.

Das Shinyu besuche ich nun seit Jahren aus mehreren Gründen: Das Personal ist höflich und wenn man im Restaurant isst, immer rasch am Tisch. Die Umgebung ist für ein Sushi Restaurant sehr angemessen und gemütlich. Das Wichtigste aber sind die Speisen: Man kann direkt dabei zuschauen, wie jede einzelne Portion zubereitet wird, wodurch sichergestellt ist, dass alles frisch ist. Die Mengen sind dem Preis absolut angemessen, geschmacklich sogar weit drüber. Manche Besucher ärgern sich, dass es sehr lang dauert, wenn man dort bestellt, bis die Speisen kommen. Daher mein Tipp, dass man besser schon bestellt, während man reserviert. Meiner Meinung nach ist das Shinyu das beste Sushi Restaurant in Kassel.

The Sushi is amazing and high quality. Unfortunately the staff is super slow and unfriendly, took 20 minutes to place the order and another 50 minutes until the food was served. It was impossible to order additional drinks while waiting for the sushi. What a pity!

Es gibt leider kein authentisches, gutes Sushi-Restaurant in Kassel. Dafür muss man in die Großstadt fahren. Für ein Dorf Kassel war Sushi hier bei Shinyu früher noch „essbar“, aber inzwischen wurde die Qualität schlechter und es war sehr enttäuschend. Gestern war der Shari(Sushireis) nicht richtig - 1. gekocht: zu hart, teilweise ungekocht 2. mariniert: viel zu salzig, gar nicht süß, vor allem gar nicht sauer (man sollte mal nachdenken, was „Sushi“ bedeutet!) 3. portioniert: zu groß und zu fest gegriffen. (Große Reismenge ist nicht vorteilhaft, hier ist es kein All-you-can-eat!) Dazu war Neta(Topping) teilweise zu dünn und insbesondere hatte Unagi sehr ekliges Geschmack. Wenn die Qualität so bleibt, werde ich gerne verzichten, in Kassel Sushi essen zu gehen.

Sehr gemütliches restaurant man sollte aber definitiv den tisch vor bestellen😉 oder essen bestellen und mit nehmen...🤗 in ganzen sehr lecker🤩

Ich liebe Sushi und das Shinyu macht da ganz viel richtige. Das Essen ist prima und sehr frisch. Es ist lecker und auch für "Anfänger" ist alles mit Bildchen versehen. Traut euch und probiert es aus. Die Kellner sind leider etwas langsam, die Gläser bleiben ewig leer und man kommt sich nicht so richtig willkommen vor. Das geht noch besser.

Große Auswahl sehr leckere Gerichte. Menükarten mit Bildern. Alles etwas eng.

The food is great. The ingredients seemed to be of a high quality and the taste is great. The sushi was made nicely and the texture of the Miso soup was right. The staff was nice, even though we went there with some foreigners, which made the communication a bit harder. The atmosphere was okay, I'd say. The decorations were fitting, but still you felt like sitting at the Friedrich Ebert street. (We were sitting inside and it felt like this)

Beste Sushi von Kassel. Nettes Restaurant und netter Service, auch wenn dieser etwas aufmerksamer sein könnte. Essen ist super und wird frisch zubereitet, was aber auch etwas an Zeit in Anspruch nimmt

Gutes Sushi, leider relativ klein. Hier sollte man sich bei der Speiseauswahl nur auf Sushi beschränken. Zum Beispiel: Teller mit Schnipsel von Ente (18,50€ !!) oder Suppe (geschmacksneutrales heißes Wasser mit Instantnudeln) nicht die beste Wahl! Generell Preis/Leistung äußerst grenzwertig!

Das Sushi ist super lecker und wird vor Ort frisch zubereitet. Bei der Zubereitung kann man sogar zuschauen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Es gibt eine Happy-Hour, die sich fast über den ganzen Tag erstreckt. Dort bekommt man dann eine Suppe und einen Tee gratis zu einem Gericht dazu. Falls ihr in Kassel seid und Lust auf Sushi habt, kann ich Shinyu Sushi House wärmstens empfehlen!!

Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend zu Besuch und wurden freundlich empfangen. Alles ist sehr sehr sauber und das Sushi absolut lecker und preislich absolut fair. Fazit: Zu empfehlen!

The place was well rated but the experience was quite disappointing. The rice was too much cooked, the edemambeens has had too much as well. The coke was warm and the restaurant didn’t accept international credit cards...

I was here for couple times already and always happy with the food. The kids really enjoyed the fresh made sushi. Sometimes when it is crowded, I do wish that they have more people to take care of the customers but ok, no rush right....

Spontaner Besuch um ein Mittagsangebot zu nutzen. Miso Suppe und grüner Tee gab es on top. Thunfisch in bester Qualität Zusammenstellung und Service war super. Man kann bei der Arbeit zuschauen alles ist sauber und geordnet.

Wer traditionelles Sushi, weit entfernt von Massenabfertigung & All you can eat sucht, wird hier auf jeden Fall fündig. Das Sushi wird immer frisch zubereitet und es gibt eine wirklich große Auswahl, auch an vegetarischen Variationen. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr nett und die Preise sind absolut bezahlbar, vor allem in der Happy Hour! Einzig und allein der Platz an der Tür, welcher wenn es richtig kalt draußen ist mal frisch werden kann, ist ein Manko, jedoch kaum der Rede wert.

Wir war am 10.01.2019 mal wieder dort. Das Essen ist gut bis sehr gut, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut und -für Kassel schon richtig gut- man kann dort um 22:30 dort noch zum Essen hingehen. Wir waren nach einem Konzert dort und es war wieder klasse. Das Essen ist traditionell zubereitet, kein Glutamat Gemansche, netter Service und es wird auf Sonderwünsche gerne eingegangen. Die Atmosphäre ist gut, keine zu laute Geräuschkulisse. Zur Haupt-Essenzeit unbedingt reservieren!

Wir gehen hier immer wieder Sushi essen, weil die Qualität und der Geschmack einfach stimmen. Es sind einfach die besten Sushiröllchen in der Stadt. Unbedingt die Miso Ibodai Suppe probieren. Leicht scharf und unfassbar gut. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

This was a great experience. I hindsight I should have ordered more sushi, because it was delicious. I had the Negi Ebi Maki and Sake Inside Out, but I really want to try everything they serve! The staff was quite friendly, and the service was fast (for Kassel standards). The ambiance is quite all right, though, if there is room for improvement, that would be it, but maybe it's just the Japanese style they are going for.
