YÖRÜK OBASI in Dortmund

Habe dem Obasi eine zweite Chance gegeben. Ergebnis: weiterhin das schlechteste Fladenbrot von Dortmund - nicht knusprig sondern blass und weich und labberig, gefüllt mit 08/15 Dönerfleisch und Salat. Aber viele Leute kaufen dort weiterhin ihr Essen - der Laden läuft also und warum sollte man dann auf eine gute/ bessere Qualität achten? Das man nicht direkt an der Ausgabetheke bezahlen kann wenn man dort was bestellt und bekommt, sondern auf eine Servicekraft warten muss, die sich gemächlich zur Kasse bewegt? Das bleibt deren Geheimnis. Für mich aber gilt: nicht aller guten Dinge sind drei - ich bleibe weg. Und zwar für immer.

We drove from Bielefeld to the Yörük Obasi in Dortmund, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was super tasty, fresh and authentic. Despite the crowds, we received quick and friendly service outside and the team were really attentive. We felt completely comfortable and would definitely like to come back!

I ordered two kebabs and unfortunately had to see how the kebab man wanted to give me old meat (I waited 5 minutes and saw that no meat was cut). When I politely asked him to cut fresh meat, he reacted angrily and insulted me in Turkish, even though I could understand him. The taste of the kebab was good, but the behavior of the staff significantly spoiled the experience. Additionally, the cashier, who is also obviously the boss, didn't enter my order into the register and pocketed the money in cash. Unfortunately a very disappointing service. I wonder what they eat for breakfast to be so rude. If you're not cut out for the stress of working in the catering industry, you should look for a new job.

We were there for lunch today. The middle-aged female staff was very rude and discourteous. We wanted to change our soup. She asked for extra money for the other soup. When we conveyed the situation to the middle-aged lady at the cash register, she said that there was nothing that could be done. There were 2 more staff who did not know how to talk to so many customers and had a bad manner. We didn't see it... it's really a shame

The waitress, who was obviously consumed by a lack of self-esteem, just slapped my change away. I was there last time. They all make a face like 3 days of rain, they've never understood the weather and service. Terrible shop, terrible atmosphere - how they manage to make good food is beyond me!

Service aka the mistress of the house super incompetent and unfriendly. Complains to her employees and talks to them as if they weren't human. My condolences to the young employees for having to suffer because of their interactions with people. The food is excellent but this one older waiter doesn't work at all. We were asked to hurry up and decide what we wanted to eat even though the store was empty. It's not a big operation and you're still rushed. My first and last visit was very rude!

In my opinion one of the top 3 kebabs in Dortmund. All dishes are homemade and prepared. Best quality. The place is super clean and cozy. Service also very good. The kebab costs 8.50, but you can treat yourself to it. Definitely recommended.

We order the meat with cheese wrapped in bread or only cheese cooked by oven. That's it 🤣 and in ramadan, we tried kufta with rice it was delicious, but alot of oil so we only eat those from this restaurant

Ate at Yörük for the first time yesterday: Iskender Kebap. I ordered this dish because the picture of this dish spoke to me. Unfortunately the food didn't match the picture at all. I also don't think 16.90 euros is justified. So the food was a 3 and I wouldn't eat it there again. The waiter, top. Friendly, humorous and attentive. When I went to the toilet, a woman (staff) shouted across the shop: Stop, are you a guest here. The question is understandable, but shouting it loudly throughout the restaurant is not an option.

--- eine Zeit als diese Dönerbude noch an der Kampstraße war. Damals gab es regelmäßig eine Warteschlange, in der Kunden anstanden, um sich einen leckeren Döner zu kaufen. Dann wurde dieses Geschäft geschlossen und man siedelte nach DO- Hörde um. In der Anfangszeit war die Qualität noch in Ordnung, wenn auch nicht mehr so hoch wie in der alten Location. Mittlerweile ist die Qualität leider "im Keller". Das Fladenbrot wird nicht richtig aufgebacken und schmeckt pappig. Das Fleisch überzeugt durch einen "neutralen" Geschmack, auf Deutsch: es schmeckt nach nichts. Laut der (inhaltlich veralteten) Homepage stellt der Betrieb die Spieße selber her. Das sollte er besser lassen und die Spieße stattdessen zukaufen. Der Salat ist ok, aber er kann das Desaster auch nicht mehr verhindern. Meine Meinung: beim aktuellen Preis darf man etwas mehr erwarten - insbesondere Qualität. Ach ja: das "der Service" mürrisch bis unfreundlich ist? Das rundet den Eindruck ab. Mich zumindest wird Herr Ercetin nicht mehr in seinem Laden begrüßen.

Disappointed visit to Yorük Obasi I recently visited the Turkish restaurant Yorük Obasi in Dortmund, looking forward to authentic cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. Long waiting times and very unfriendly service: As soon as we entered the restaurant we were ignored and had to wait 15 minutes until a waiter showed us to a table. The menu didn't arrive for another 20 minutes, and the drink order was only taken after repeated requests. Poor food quality: The food was another disappointment. Conclusion is bad, money and time wasted..
