The food is amazing and the staff is top-notch. But the restaurant is incredibly loud and the tables are too close together.

We were served at the Yedo Saarbrücken restaurant by an employee who was difficult to understand. We ordered: • 2× Dish No. 23 Yaki Udon (fried udon noodles with egg, fresh vegetables, sesame) with crispy duck breast — €17.50 • 1× Dish No. 26 Teriyaki (grilled, wok-fried, seasonal vegetables, teriyaki sauce) with crispy chicken breast — €15.50 • 1 portion of teriyaki sauce — supposedly €5.00 • 1 bottle of water — €6.50 At home, we discovered that the teriyaki sauce, €5.00, was billed twice (once as "Differential 5.00 EUR" and once as "teriyaki 5.00 EUR"). This meant that we were charged €10.00 for a small portion of sauce — outrageous. Please check the receipt carefully before leaving the store. (see photo)

Very delicious, authentic food. The sushi, in particular, is a dream. Everything is very fresh and beautifully presented.

I'm really disappointed. The chicken summer rolls were absolutely inedible—the meat tasted like it was expired. Also, there was a dark hair underneath my sushi, which is just disgusting. That shouldn't happen in a restaurant. Unfortunately, that was my last visit there. Never again!

The food was good, but we weren't so happy with the service. We'd have liked an extra portion of vegetables, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. The staff could have been friendlier. I've eaten there several times. But the weekends aren't as good as the weekdays, and they're more expensive. I wouldn't go back on the weekends and wouldn't recommend it. It's best to go for lunch and take advantage of the special offers.

Probably the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The rolls were falling apart, and the rice was not properly cooked. Overall, the sushi just didn’t taste right. The tea was okay, but nothing special. For the quality of food served, the price is definitely not justified—especially for a restaurant in a smaller city

I was at Yedo in Saarbrücken yesterday and I was absolutely thrilled! The food came quickly, was piping hot, and truly delicious. The portions are generous—so much so that there was even enough left for the next day. An all-around fantastic experience: friendly service, good quality, and truly delicious food. I'll definitely be back—highly recommended!

We ate there yesterday around 3 p.m. Everything was perfect. Cold drinks, soup was very good, sushi was the best I've ever had, and the currywurst with chicken was also very good. We will definitely come back. We'll also try the Yedo tapas bar. 10/10

I'm really disappointed with our last experience at this restaurant, which we've been coming to regularly since it opened. The service and welcome were far below what we were used to. The waitresses were clearly annoyed and huffed and puffed when we asked for a second round of drinks after our meal. We ordered lemon iced teas and were served honey without even warning. One of my friends also received a dish that wasn't the one she'd ordered. When we called the staff to ask for something, we were ignored or greeted with sighs. No smiles, no politeness. It's a real shame to see the quality of service decline so much. I sincerely hope it was just a bad day, because it was the first time we've left this place, which we usually enjoy, feeling so disappointed.

Always bad rolls that are falling apart and they don’t really understand what i want to order. I just hate how rolls taste and the worst thing is always overcooked rice. I tried to order a drink and they just brought me the wrong one and then didn’t even understand what was the problem. The drinks are also made greedily with no effort. Sorry but I don’t understand how somebody could recommend it, there is no such a bad service and food anywhere else in Saarbrücken. Don’t know what I need to pay so much for.

The service was super friendly this evening. The drinks took a while to arrive, but it was busy. My food tasted very good, but unfortunately it wasn't warm enough. Otherwise, it was good. I would eat there again. Great value for money.

When we booked online, we were told the table was reserved for 1.5 hours. But after an hour, we had to leave (there were four of us). As soon as someone ordered something, there were sighs. They even wanted to charge us, even though one of us had also ordered sushi! (We were 50 minutes away from our reservation). The waitress with her Vietnamese hat was as rude as could be! As soon as we got the bill, the table was cleared and new tables were set up. We could hardly stand. I've read similar comments from last year about the same thing. They say they take it into account, but they don't care. You have to make money, that's more important. They've been scheming for years by enforcing cash! ;) They also don't give change, so they get their tips, which are completely undeserved. I think they are less skilled with the Germans, but with the French and the language barrier they take advantage of this. The serveuse has a Vietnamese head and is an impolite incroyable! This means that the addition is regulated, the table is also débarrassée and the new tables are installed. Nous n’étions même pas encore levés. J'ai lu des commentaires similaires l'année dernière à ce sujet. Ils disent qu'ils en tennent compte, mais ils s'en fichent. The gold gagner is also important. Ils magouillent depuis des années en imposant le paiement en spèces ! ;) Ils not rendent pas la monnaie non plus, alors ils se prennt des pourboires, qui sont totalement immérités. Very good restaurant in a good location, waiters and waitresses always available and smiling, pleasant terrace too. The only drawback is that the menu isn't in French, but it's easy to understand.

Delicious food... I'd love to come back...

Today around 7:00 p.m. we were at the restaurant and ordered our favorite dishes and after a few minutes we wanted to place an additional order and when we called the waitress she made an inappropriate signal with her hand as if saying 'I don't have time for you.' We waited a bit and told us that she might be tired from work and when she came we wanted to order what we wanted but she didn't let us finish the order and when she left and quickly came back with the bait list and threw it on the table and said loudly 'what do you want, there is a lot of this and that' in an aggressive manner and in a sharp tone we felt ashamed, we paid the bill and left the restaurant.

An employee today was very rude*2, disrespectful, and too aggressive. We really didn't expect that, even though we're regular customers. No way, we'll be back after that incident.

Asian food restaurant, good dishes, high price

Good. You can do it, the price is okay. The wheel isn't being reinvented here, but there is solid, Asian-inspired cuisine. Already adapted to the European palate, but you can definitely go!

Update from 1/20/25: You still feel cold when you go to a restaurant. So much for the fact that it will be warmer/more comfortable... the cutlery is ice cold, like it came from the fridge. Neighboring tables also complained about the cold… Many people sit at the table with jackets on, including us. ————————————————— The food is always consistently good. When it comes to service, it depends on which operator you get. Some are quick and incredibly friendly, others are rather sluggish, almost apathetic. The deductions for the ambience result from a greasy, slippery floor and, above all, from the fact that the heating is on on January 5th. was completely switched off and it was simply too cold in the restaurant. Totally uncomfortable! Apart from that, our curry was ice cold super quickly. Too bad. We probably won't come back until spring when it's warmer again🥶

We had a delicious lunch of sushi and miso soup and really enjoyed it. Very nice service :)

A snail was clearly crawling along the edge of my food. The waiter's answer to this after I asked him to come here was: "It's just organic vegetables" ?!??? I got a new portion, but no one really apologized or offered me anything else, but I still had to pay the full price. Apart from that, the service staff were relatively pushy and more or less made it clear to us that we should leave after our food had been cleared away, even though we each still had drinks on the table.

Four of us went here for dinner. Starter and main course very tasty and plentiful. For dessert I had ice cream which I didn't like and I found the two scoops for 6.50 euros to be very overpriced. We also sat at the cat table at the entrance and a blast of very cold air came in every time the door opened. The vestibule was not closed despite several requests from us.

Food was good and tasted good. The tables could be a little larger, 2 people sitting opposite each other and plates and glasses...a little tight. Feasible but automatically takes away some of the coziness. Service is great. We'll definitely go there again.

The atmosphere here is actually quite nice. Unfortunately the tables are very wobbly. The sushi was okay, unfortunately it was already dried on the edges, which doesn't mean it was 100% fresh (you can see in the pictures). The service was good.

For the last two years we have been celebrating birthdays only in this restaurant. The is staff always asking if you have enough drinks or you need anything else, that’s really great. But last time I ordered an ice tee, and this time I was really sad, because it tasted mostly like water. When we said it to waiter, she said she can’t do anything, maybe they changed tea brand or something… but then in the end, another lady came and when we were paying, she asked if everything was fine, and we said yes, but explained about tee. She said she’s really sorry about that, and gave me free really delicious drink since it’s my birthday☺️

Takeaway meal rice with shrimp, an insect found just horrible!!

Until today I was a loyal regular customer at Yedo, but today neither the food nor the way the customer was treated by the service was right. The table wobbled and I had to pick up old beer mats that were already on the floor and put them under them because the waitress couldn't make it to the corner of the table. My hands got dirty, which didn't bother me at the moment. However, as a former waitress, I know this is not the standard of good service. It wouldn't have been worth mentioning but today I had a disappointing experience. I usually really like the food at Yedo, but today the fish tasted old and inedible, which is why I complained about it. To make sure it wasn't just a single piece, I ate about half of my portion; it would have been a shame to throw the entire food away. When I then complained, the waitress replied: "Now that you've eaten almost everything, are you complaining?" However, that wasn't true as I let half of the food go back. The service barely responded to my complaint. Despite the complaint, I had to pay for 4 out of 5 portions. When my friend brought up the incident again while paying, the waitress simply said “okay”. Customer satisfaction in this restaurant apparently no longer matters. Given the prices, I expect significantly better service. It's a real shame how much the service has deteriorated. After this experience I won't be going there again - that was my last visit.

The store is so incredibly lovingly designed. As a starter I had a very tasty soup. The sushi looked really great and it tasted just as good.

Was not impressed. Food was OK but lacked the flavours expected from Asian cuisine relatively speaking. But more importantly was the poor service. Our bill came up to €50 (approx) for 2 people, and when I asked to pay separately, the waitress very bluntly refused and said no, we couldn't, which was quite frankly shocking!! We were also charged €1.50 for a glass of 'tap' water!!! If you like Asian food, go to Viet Quan instead.

I received an incorrect order and pointed it out to the waitress. I didn't get a replacement or a new dish and had to pay €5 more because they didn't realize they had made a mistake. Too bad.

Sat outside to eat, it was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the food, it was very full, which speaks for the place, but it was difficult to serve everyone in time, but that didn't detract from the visit. Gladly again.

Were there on a Tuesday lunchtime. It was really busy, but we got a spot straight away without a reservation. However, we waited a very long time before we even got the card. Otherwise, friendly service, great sushi, we enjoyed it very much.

Very good time spent there. The meal was very good. The only downside is the service.

Fast and friendly service despite a busy evening at the market. First of all: we advise against a visit. You can see alternatives below. The maki sushi is okay (there are better ones within walking distance), the fusion soup (number 2) is quite a celery nuisance, and Yedo also failed in terms of taste - for us. In particular, the Bin Bo Name Bo (number 25) is a single potpourri of different 'side dishes'. Only the marinated meat (which was probably a frozen product) did not make our experience a complete culinary disappointment. Regarding the same dish, I would like to note that the pasta included - well - didn't taste quite as natural. We advise against a visit and would rather refer you to Mai Thaï on Kappenstraße (side street from Sankt Johanner Markt). If you like sushi, you'll definitely find what you're looking for in Osaka (although the price is slightly different) or in Running Sushi (junction of Türkenstraße and Mainzer Straße). Or if you're on a budget, go to the Hong Kong snack bar (be careful, glutamate is used here!) on Gerberstrasse. Bon appetit.

Actually always been very satisfied. But today the service wasn't so good. We had to wait a really long time until the menus were brought to us. Then our food came before the drinks, and the service wasn't exactly the nicest either. Otherwise the food was great 😁😁😁

If, after an hour of waiting, the waiters don't even pay attention to you, and then you're shouted at in an unfriendly manner, you ask yourself: What's wrong with these people. Sure, there was a lot going on on the European Championship football evening, but then perhaps they should hire a few more service staff. The food was accordingly. The beer was warm and stale, the food was cold and tasteless. Once and never again.

The food was really great and also very nicely and appetizingly prepared. Prices okay. There are several in-house lemonades - we tried two of them: both delicious! However, at €7.50 per glass it is more than too expensive :-D Unfortunately the service was below average and disinterested. The waiter took our order and brought us the food... but that was it. There were no friendly words or even a smile... unfortunately that really diminished my enthusiasm and I would have wished it to be different.

For that price I could have bought 2 kilos of lamb from the Kurds and fed my family for 3 days. At least it wouldn't taste like this udo quz nut noodle, honestly unbelievable. Thanks to them I'm afraid of eating in other restaurants. Really unbelievable

We usually love going to yedo and I discovered my favorite dish there. Yes, the restaurant is always crowded, but the food comes to the table very quickly. The staff's service has decreased significantly, friendliness and good service were not the top priority today. After I asked three times for a spoon and it still didn't come even though my food was at the table, I got up myself and took it. Unfortunately my food was cold, so I accepted that. While eating I discovered a hair which wouldn't have been necessarily bad because that can happen, but when I removed the second hair and then discovered that my plate was full of short hair... I personally brought the plate to the counter and just wanted out. I was offered to make a new dish but I didn't want to do that anymore. Unfortunately there was no apology or compensation. The parking fees in Saarbrücken are not cheap either. I still had to pay for my drink. I will not enter this restaurant again after today.
