Very good food but the restaurant is beyond disgusting

The food was super tasty (lunge sushi menu 5) and really well prepared. The service was very accommodating and friendly, but didn't really understand us. Sat outside. The terrace filled up like lightning at 1 p.m.

Sat outside to eat, it was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the food, it was very full, which speaks for the place, but it was difficult to serve everyone in time, but that didn't detract from the visit. Gladly again.

Were there on a Tuesday lunchtime. It was really busy, but we got a spot straight away without a reservation. However, we waited a very long time before we even got the card. Otherwise, friendly service, great sushi, we enjoyed it very much.

Fast and friendly service despite a busy evening at the market. First of all: we advise against a visit. You can see alternatives below. The maki sushi is okay (there are better ones within walking distance), the fusion soup (number 2) is quite a celery nuisance, and Yedo also failed in terms of taste - for us. In particular, the Bin Bo Name Bo (number 25) is a single potpourri of different 'side dishes'. Only the marinated meat (which was probably a frozen product) did not make our experience a complete culinary disappointment. Regarding the same dish, I would like to note that the pasta included - well - didn't taste quite as natural. We advise against a visit and would rather refer you to Mai Thaï on Kappenstraße (side street from Sankt Johanner Markt). If you like sushi, you'll definitely find what you're looking for in Osaka (although the price is slightly different) or in Running Sushi (junction of Türkenstraße and Mainzer Straße). Or if you're on a budget, go to the Hong Kong snack bar (be careful, glutamate is used here!) on Gerberstrasse. Bon appetit.

Actually always been very satisfied. But today the service wasn't so good. We had to wait a really long time until the menus were brought to us. Then our food came before the drinks, and the service wasn't exactly the nicest either. Otherwise the food was great 😁😁😁

If, after an hour of waiting, the waiters don't even pay attention to you, and then you're shouted at in an unfriendly manner, you ask yourself: What's wrong with these people. Sure, there was a lot going on on the European Championship football evening, but then perhaps they should hire a few more service staff. The food was accordingly. The beer was warm and stale, the food was cold and tasteless. Once and never again.

The food was really great and also very nicely and appetizingly prepared. Prices okay. There are several in-house lemonades - we tried two of them: both delicious! However, at €7.50 per glass it is more than too expensive :-D Unfortunately the service was below average and disinterested. The waiter took our order and brought us the food... but that was it. There were no friendly words or even a smile... unfortunately that really diminished my enthusiasm and I would have wished it to be different.

For that price I could have bought 2 kilos of lamb from the Kurds and fed my family for 3 days. At least it wouldn't taste like this udo quz nut noodle, honestly unbelievable. Thanks to them I'm afraid of eating in other restaurants. Really unbelievable

We usually love going to yedo and I discovered my favorite dish there. Yes, the restaurant is always crowded, but the food comes to the table very quickly. The staff's service has decreased significantly, friendliness and good service were not the top priority today. After I asked three times for a spoon and it still didn't come even though my food was at the table, I got up myself and took it. Unfortunately my food was cold, so I accepted that. While eating I discovered a hair which wouldn't have been necessarily bad because that can happen, but when I removed the second hair and then discovered that my plate was full of short hair... I personally brought the plate to the counter and just wanted out. I was offered to make a new dish but I didn't want to do that anymore. Unfortunately there was no apology or compensation. The parking fees in Saarbrücken are not cheap either. I still had to pay for my drink. I will not enter this restaurant again after today.

We got kicked out like trash, under the pretext that they were going to close soon. While there was a match in the middle of Euro football. It's not commerce that runs through their veins and even less sympathy. We will NEVER go again. If you are not as contrarian as you like...

We sat outside and for a Friday evening it was easy to get a table. Food was excellent. Not exactly cheap, but not overly expensive either. We shared the platter for two and each ordered another roll of sushi. But good recommendation.

Whenever we are in Saarbrücken we look forward to Yedo, great food made with good craftsmanship.

Was there for the first time and was thrilled. Rarely have I had such good sushi 🍣 😀. Extremely delicious. It was very busy and we had to wait a bit, which didn't bother me personally. Service was very friendly 🙂. The only deduction is for the dusty lanterns on the ceiling 😅. All in all a successful evening. Definitely coming back.

A pity. Unfortunately, at least in my opinion, you have now deteriorated in terms of customer service, organization, cleanliness and friendliness. First, I was called weeks ago to confirm an appointment on that very day, which was only booked for the following month. On the actual date I was called to ask to “do something else” first because there were no seats available at the reserved time. When we were allowed to return about 20 minutes later, the possible payment methods were pointed out and that we only had 1.5 hours. The restaurant was full to capacity, while waiting guests blocked the entrance inside and outside the restaurant. In the restaurant itself, guests were also waiting in the aisles for tables to become available. It was loud, hectic and overall a not very pleasant atmosphere. Immediately after the last sip, the guests at the table of four next to us were asked to hurry up because the table had to be reoccupied. The food, on the other hand, came quickly (this is mandatory if you stay for a maximum of 1.5 hours...) and was tasty, and the price-performance level is still consistent. But the rest isn't anymore.

The food was fresh and very tasty. The sushi tasted very good. It is centrally located at the St. Johanner Markt, fully booked in summer. Personally, I prefer a quieter setting (but this depends on the individual). The service was top, (no problem changing tables) reserved but attentive.

Nice restaurant in Saarbrücken's old town, close to the city theater. Food was delicious, vegetables were fresh. The fried chicken was also fresh and not completely dried out as is usually the case... The portion of vegetables could have been a little larger for the price, the amount of rice and meat was OK. Drink prices are a little higher, but still OK. The rooms inside are very nicely decorated, but I can imagine that it can get tight very quickly. But we will definitely go to Yedo again - whether with friends or family :-)

The store lives exclusively from its location directly on the market; you only go there once. The food is average. The service is at the lowest level and doesn't speak any German except "order" and "pay"; Nothing else comes out, no greeting, no manners. Abit slow and not proactive, had to get their attention for a drink refill, wouldve given it another star if the price matches the value. The sushi was not fresh, probably a good place for people who dont know real japanese food or good sushi and for people who think sushi is just rice rolled with ingredients.

Yedo curry is good but increased by €3 overnight, non-alcoholic cocktail €2 more the prices have increased and not just a little. But I won't come back again because the last 2 times unfriendly service, the waitresses are angry, we have the impression of disturbing them

We were with a group of friends and children on March 8, as always, we ate deliciously, this is a place that you want to come to again, and the atmosphere, service and food are all a solid B! I can confidently recommend this establishment! And it’s also nice that on the day of March 8th we managed to reserve a table for 9 people, this is a great success in Saarbrücken) so in any case we liked everything!

There were five of us and we had booked the table in advance. Unfortunately this was right next to the door, so a cold gust of wind always came in. In addition, you were constantly surrounded by a crowd of people waiting to be seated, so it was very loud. Comfort is something else! Now to the food: The starters were very good, hence 1 star. The main courses were tasteless, almost without spices. We were here for the first and last time! Also, the floor has stuck, really disgusting!

Unfortunately mass processing...90 minutes time to eat. Before the time was up, the waitress came to us and told us that we still had 7 minutes left because the next guests were already in the queue. A cozy night out with friends looks different...

No credit cards, only cash and German EC CARD. You have one hour. That's a nice greeting. The reference to the accepted payment methods is unfriendly, but still understandable. The suggestion that you have an hour to spare doesn't work at all. Where are we then? Restaurant or canteen? We left immediately. We don't allow ourselves to be told how long we can take to eat. Incredible! Never again!

Unfortunately you can't give this more than 3 stars. The restaurant is always packed, which is why reservations are strongly recommended. The later the evening gets, the longer the line of guests builds up in front of the door and in the restaurant itself. Once inside, you realize that every square meter is full of tables in order to really make the most profit. So we found ourselves with 5 people at a table that was designed for a maximum of 3 people, with the next guests sitting a hand's width next to us. Comfortable is different. Of course, the noise level is enormous given the huge number of guests, so it can be difficult to place your order, let alone carry on a conversation. The staff is quite distant, but at least attentive. Unfortunately, the negative thing here is that you're not really given time to read the menu; you're quickly forced to order drinks and food at the same time. There is no real feel-good atmosphere here either. The food itself comes quite quickly and the quality cannot be faulted. But the portions aren't really big, and here too the emphasis is on maximizing profits. Surprisingly, the prices are really reasonable for the location. However, the overall feeling here is unfortunately that you are not really “welcome”.

Apparently our reservation was messed up. We were given a table that had been put together in a makeshift manner and were also moved around in between! That doesn't work at all. And then not even a drink on the house as an apology. All in all, you sit really close together and can also eat at the next table. The food is very good, but couldn't save the evening.

Even though we hadn't finished eating and wanted to order dinner, we were asked to slowly leave the shop after 90 minutes. That's not how you earn a tip. we changed the restaurant.

After the unpleasant conversation, we were informed that despite having a reservation you were only allowed to stay for a maximum of 90 minutes. This makes you feel really welcome! No ginger was served with the sushi. I won't go there anymore!

The authentic restaurant is located in the middle of the market square. A reservation is easy to make and highly recommended. The restaurant has always been completely full. We had reserved and were then brought to a table and the first thing we were told was the time limit. The cards were brought straight away and the order was placed shortly afterwards. The drinks came quite quickly, the food took a good hour to arrive. Actually no problem, but if the table is only reserved for a certain period of time, that was too long. The sushi was excellent and is one of the best in Saarbrücken. Especially if you prefer to be careful with raw fish and the like, this is the right place for you. The restaurant has such a throughput that nothing can get old here. The waitresses could come to the table a little more often and pay more attention to empty glasses, for example. Unfortunately, what was noticed negatively was that an incredible number of customers had pre-ordered their food to be picked up. There was always a queue in the entrance area and in the entrance door, which was therefore open the whole time. Due to the sub-zero temperatures outside, there was an icy draft, which several guests pointed out to the staff. Unfortunately a solution could not be found. Unfortunately, a rose seller (who was obviously tolerated by the staff) came into the restaurant every hour and stood at the table of every single guest, regardless of whether they were eating there or not. Possibly annoyed by poor sales, the man was reluctant to hear rejections and then mimicked the customers. What I think is ok in a snack bar is absolutely out of place in a very expensive restaurant.

Nice atmosphere, everything tastes delicious, they have the tastiest sushi in the whole of Saarland and the best service...highly recommended if you can get the table at all ;))

Six of us were here on a Saturday evening. I made a reservation a week before. Nevertheless, we had to wait 20 minutes in the narrow entrance with dozens of other guests. Once seated, the service was okay, considering it was very busy. The food came at a convenient time. In general it was also quite loud. But it didn't bother us. If you want to eat somewhere quiet on a Saturday evening, this is the wrong place. The sushi was good - but whether it was worth the really high price is difficult to say. I'm more of a friend of AYCE.

Unfortunately it was so busy that evening that the service was no longer adequate. Soups came last, sushi's first, but due to the time limit on the table it just became hectic. A pity.

Yesterday I had dinner at Yedo with my friend. During the week and on Sundays there isn't that much going on, so the service is actually pretty good. On the weekend you can completely forget about it. Over-reservations are confirmed, and when you get there there is no table available and you have to wait. The food and sushi have had a huge price premium over the years, which I can understand a little given the current situation. However, I can't understand why portion sizes are getting smaller and smaller. I once ordered Avocado Maki, California Inside Out and Crunchy Rolls. All three were just small bites that you could never get enough of for less than €30. You really notice how attention is now only paid to profit and no longer to the price-performance quality. With these exorbitant prices for such small portions, I'm out of Yedo!

Daly jsme si z kamarádem sushi Best Friend. Jídlo bylo chutné i moc hezké na pohled. Z mého pohledu jsem jedl už i lepší sushi ale i tak mi chutnalo. Obsluha trochu vázla ale mohlo to být i tím že bylo plno. Doporučuji si zarezervovat stůl předem a platí se zde pouze hotovostí nebo nějakou jejich Německou kartou. Atmosféra úžasná. Každopádně doporučuji navštívit. 👍

Essen war richtig lecker! Ambiente und Service 4 Sterne, weil es drinnen sehr voll ist und wir und noch andere Gäste trotz Reservierung 15min warten mussten

Leider habe keine gute Erfahrung mit diesem Restaurant machen können. Wir hatten als relativ große Gruppe reserviert und da wurde uns schon gesagt dass wir nur 1,5 h Zeit haben werden, was für uns aber ok war. Als wir dann saßen wurde erst mal eine dreiviertel Stunde nicht die Bestellung aufgenommen. Dafür wurde die ganze zeit gefragt ob man nicht an unseren vollen Tisch noch andere Leute setzen können da es sehr überfüllt war und ich vermute dass sie zu viele Reservierungen aufgenommen haben. Die Stimmung war aufgrund des vollen Restaurants eh etwas angespannt aber ok. Als wir dann alle sushi bestellt haben kam das Essen weitere 30 min nicht, womit es dann etwas knapp wurde mit dem Essen, aber wir haben uns beeilt was bei den extrem kleinen Portionen bei denen fast niemand satt wurde (zumindest bei dem sushi) kein Problem war. Das ärgerliche war dann dass wir danach sicher 40 min nicht abkassiert wurden weil wohl die Personen nach uns abgesagt hatten was uns aber nicht gesagt sondern durch dieses völlige Ignorieren signalisiert wurde. Hätte ich das gewusst hätte ich mir noch mal was bestellt da ich wie gesagt nicht satt wurde. Am Ende war dann auch noch die Rechnung falsch was ich normalerweise bei großen Gruppen verständlich finde aber nach der ganzen Inkompetenz und dem eher ruppigen Ton doch sehr ärgerlich. Den einen Stern gibt es weil das Essen gut geschmeckt hat, wenn auch nicht wirklich herausstechend.

Richtig lecker und moderate Preise. Die Gerichte sind reichhaltig und frisch, gut, aber nicht übertrieben gewürzt und sowohl für Föeischfreunde als auch für Veggies geeignet. Der Service ist ebenso schnell wie freundlich. Da kommen wir gerne öfter.

Der Service war zu bedauern, wir saßen an einem Zweiertisch, um für drei zu essen, die Vordertür war weit geöffnet und ließ die Kälte herein. Wir fragten das Personal, ob es möglich sei, die Tür zu schließen, und am Ende des Essens wurden wir ignoriert Ich gehe auf die Toilette, als ich zurückkam, fehlte mein Stuhl.

Essen war OK - das Servicepersonal gehört dringend ausgetauscht! Zwei Bestellungen wurden falsch aufgenommen (Getränk und Vorspeise). Nach einer äußerst unangenehmen Belehrung der Kellnerin, die darauf beharrte keine Fehler bei der Bestellung gemacht zu haben, verschüttete die Kellnerin Wasser auf die Hose meines Freundes - eine Entschuldigung kam nicht.

Yado ist der Vetter von Samso, der entfernt mit meine guten Kollegen, dem verarmten bosnische Landadligen, verwandt ist und der einen Namen, wie aus einem lustigen Taschenbuch hat: Quako Quakic! Statt slawonischer Kulen wird leider nur toter Fisch serviert. Ist der wenigstens fangfrisch aus Völklingen?

Die Einstellung des Kellners war sehr schlecht, sehr gehetzt, etwas unhöflich, das Essen war durchschnittlich, die Sushi-Qualität war schlecht, der Fisch war nicht sehr frisch, der gebratene Reis und die Nudeln waren in Ordnung.

Mega leckeres Essen und nette Bedienung. Die Crunchy Rolls sind mein absoluter Favorit.

Wir sind auf einem Kurztrip in Saarbrücken. Uns wurde von mehreren Seiten das Restaurant empfohlen,also sind wir hin. Es war voll bis zum Anschlag, die Bedienung war sehr nett und hat uns einen bereits reservierten Platz ,allerdings mit Zeitvorgabe angeboten. Der Service war sehr schnell und auch das Essen ließ nicht lange auf sich warten, wie erwähnt der Laden war voll. Das Essen war mega lecker. Wir hätten uns etwas mehr Gemüse im Gericht gewünscht, dann hätte das Preisleistungsverhältnis besser gepasst,aber auch so war sehr lecker. Ist auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert,wenn man in Saarbrücken ist. Wir kommen wieder. Sehr zu empfehlen.
