We went to Yasaki Sushi in Bochum today with friends and were absolutely thrilled! The food was incredibly fresh and tasted fantastic. The sushi was outstanding – perfectly prepared, superb quality, and beautifully presented. The hot dishes, whether chicken, beef, or fish, were also cooked to perfection and simply delicious. We were especially pleased to see the owner again, whom we already knew from another restaurant. The food there was always excellent – ​​everything was top-notch – and you can find that same quality here. You can really tell how much heart and experience has gone into this place. It was delivered super quickly by the chef, including wasabi and ginger, and some delicious prawn crackers for free 🙂👍 The taste is just as great as in person 😋 It is and will remain my absolute favorite restaurant! Top-notch as always, and the value for money is unbeatable, especially now with all-you-can-eat AND all-you-can-drink for €33.90. The food is always a delight and of very good quality! We now eat there twice a month.

We went there based on a recommendation and were delighted. It's important to bring your time. If you plan for that, it will be a very pleasant evening. We booked the package including drinks and were able to order 10 small dishes in three hours. You get the drinks yourself from the fridge. Ordering is done via a tablet. We didn't manage to make the most of the 10 rounds; it was too much. You have to be patient at first, then you'll settle into a rhythm between eating and ordering. The food consists of meat and typical appetizers, including soups, that you'd expect from Chinese buffets, and, above all, sushi in many different variations. The sushi is truly freshly prepared and was very good, also because the rice was well-seasoned and not overly sweet. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Since the new owners took over, the place is unrecognizable. Friends, family, and I are very satisfied with the offerings, service, and taste. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's understandable that it's busier in the evenings than at lunchtime, and therefore the food doesn't arrive as quickly as it does at lunchtime, but it does arrive. We also like the flat-rate drinks menu introduced in the summer and hope it will continue throughout the year. The selection of drinks is also great. We'd love to come back.

We received a friendly welcome and it was our first time there. It would have been nice if we had been given a better explanation of how the system works at the beginning. We had all-you-can-eat & all-you-can-drink. The prices were okay for adults, but we found it too high for children, as everyone at the table had to choose the same thing. Orders are made via a tablet: 5 dishes per person per round, for a total of 10 rounds. At first, we thought that wasn't much, but it was perfectly adequate. Everything arrived very quickly, fresh, and hot. We were very satisfied with all the dishes. The king prawns, the sushi with mussels, and the crunchy vegetables were particularly great. My daughter really liked the edamame and avocado nigiri. We ate way too much and had to take a long walk first 😊. I would especially like to mention the waitress with the curly hair. She is incredibly friendly and attentive, something you rarely experience. High praise! Overall, a visit that was absolutely worth it.

We've been here several times and have always been satisfied. But this weekend was a disappointment. The portions are suddenly only half the size they used to be. We had to wait a very long time, and the quality of the food has declined significantly. The chef probably changed—the sushi was bad, and the fried dishes only came in half portions. A real shame!

It was a good restaurant—until this past weekend. But what happened this past weekend surprised and disappointed me greatly. There were a lot of people there, and in my opinion, there were too few staff. The portions we were usually served were suddenly only half the size. We also received a lot of food we hadn't even ordered. When we asked the staff what was going on, no one knew what was happening.

We've been there several times. The food is very good. However, for larger groups, if you pay individually, you need a tablet for at least two people.

Unfortunately, the food was handled with a thermal paper (receipt), which seemed somewhat unhygienic. The sushi rice was also quite grainy and not particularly good quality. Overall, though, I would like to emphasize that the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We're always trying new sushi restaurants and can highly recommend Yasaki. Very friendly staff, delicious food, and from Tuesday to Thursday, in addition to the all-you-can-eat menu (evenings) for €24.90, they also offer an all-you-can-drink menu for around €33, with a very diverse selection. :)

I'm really not a fan of this all-you-can-eat stuff, but I was really surprised. We had a reservation for three people on a Wednesday evening. It was pleasantly busy and not too loud. The restaurant isn't particularly large, so there's no mass-processing feeling. We received a friendly welcome and were given our trays. Dinner buffet: €33.90 for all-you-can-eat and drinks! Everyone can order five items per round, then wait 10 minutes, and then everyone can order five more. This is a great way to celebrate for 2.5 hours. The food is brought to your table. So no "standing in line and hoping no one sniffs into the warming containers." The food was consistently delicious. Sure, it wasn't the €300 sushi. But even for a sushi lover, it was really tasty. Seriously! You can also order hot dishes, meat, rice, and more. You can help yourself to drinks as you please from the self-service refrigerator. Currently, side orders for drinks are only €1 if you book the evening buffet. So, coffee and other items are €1. But it's only supposed to be like this for a limited time. We had a really lovely evening. The waiters were friendly, attentive, and definitely worth a decent tip. I'd be happy to come back. P.S. Be honest with your orders. If you order too much, you'll have to pay extra, which I think is a good thing in these times of gluttony and a throwaway society. If you don't like something, you can leave it without a problem.

If you appreciate good service and a pleasant atmosphere, this place might be worth a visit. However, if high quality and tasty food is important to you, I advise you to look for alternatives.

We were served quickly, the food arrived promptly, and clearing up was also done without long waits. Despite the pace, the staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and the team worked well together. Special praise also goes to the (presumed) owner – he gave us a very warm welcome and took just as much time to say goodbye. You can park either on site (the restaurant has several private parking spaces) or on the street. We've never had any trouble finding a space. We'll definitely be back! 🌸

We ordered a large surprise box from Too Good to Go. When we arrived, we asked if they could give us something without meat, since we only eat halal meat. They had already packed everything and said they didn't know which box was without meat. They opened the boxes anyway to see which one was suitable. One box only had a few pieces of chicken sushi, so they took that out and quickly added a few fresh rolls of meatless sushi. The service staff there were some of the friendliest we've ever encountered. I would recommend eating there to anyone just for their friendliness and hospitality! Furthermore, as you can see from the beginning of my review, they are participating in the Too Good to Go project, and every shop that is too good to waste food should be supported. To the lovely employee who served us: Thank you very much!

Overall, the service at the restaurant was excellent. The food always arrived within a very short time (less than 5 minutes). The quality of the food was rather average. The sushi didn't hold together well, and the hot dishes (meat, etc.) also tasted rather average. It was in line with the price, although the service was truly above average.

More like all-you-can-eat than sushi... For €25 all-you-can-eat, you can't expect or offer top quality. Regular sushi and tempura are perfectly fine. Unfortunately, side dishes like kimchi are mostly sugary (ready-made?) versions. Unagi (eel) was the saddest thing I've had on my plate in a long time. Service and ambiance were average. If you've been to Japan before, you'll probably be disappointed here...

Unfortunately, we can't understand all the positive reviews. We went to Yasaki based on the good ratings and were sadly disappointed. Average sushi that didn't taste great and wasn't anything special. Plus, a lot of the hot dishes were unfortunately inedible. The beef fillet in pepper sauce was extremely tough, and the sauce wasn't tasty. The fish dishes, like the salmon fillet and shrimp, also had a strange green sauce that wasn't tasty. Overall, the sushi was okay, but the hot dishes were rather poor. There's much better sushi in Bochum. The staff, however, were very friendly.

First of all the service was incredibly warm and friendly. Totally attentive and super quick on arrival, with the food and clearing away. As for the food, we can say that the selection is really huge and there is something for everyone. You could taste how freshly the food was prepared. From the sushi to the beef, everything was simply top-notch! Even when paying, we received a warm farewell that is something you don't see at restaurants like this anymore. No quick cashier, just friendly small talk. We can understand these reviews 100% and will be happy to come back! Please keep it up. You are doing a really great job.
