Altenbochumer Hof in Bochum

Ich war einige Male im Emmas und war mit dem Essen und dem Ambiente sehr zufrieden. Was allerdings vor ein paar Tagen dort passiert ist, macht mich nach wie vor fassungslos. Der Herr im Service, der meines Wissens auch Betreiber des Emmas ist, hat sich meiner Familie und mir gegenüber völlig daneben und übergriffig benommen. Mit meinem Vater wollte er eine Fußballwette abschließen. Wetteinsatz: Tausch der Ehefrauen für einen Tag. Als mein Partner in höflicher Weise bestellt hat, sagte er zu ihm, er solle nicht so devot sein. Zum Abschluss legte er meinem Partner einen umgedrehten Zettel hin, auf dem "Gutschein für Bordellbesuch" stand. Wie geschmacklos, erniedrigend und frauenverachtend ist das bitteschön? Könnte ich Minus-Sterne vergeben, würde ich das sehr gerne tun. Meine Familie und ich werden das Emmas in Zukunft meiden.

Ich war mit Freunden am 4.7 da und es war mega lecker. Wir wurden super bedient und ich glaube das war der Chef mit ein weißes tshirt, war cool und lustig drauf. Empfehle es weiter. Lasst es euch schmecken.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 20 Personen hier und wurden ausgesprochen freundlich & gut gelaunt empfangen und umsorgt. Essen & Bier waren lecker und der Abend gemütlich.

Kleine Mittagskarte mit guter Auswahl an Gerichten. Wir wählten Seelachs mit Grillgemüse und Nudeln mit Spinat-Gorgonzola-Sauce, beides sehr lecker. Sehr zuvorkommender humorvoller Service. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis 👍🏼. Zentrale Lage in der Nähe des Bermuda Dreieckes und Hbf.

Das Essen war sehr lecker uns hat es gut geschmeckt, wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hervorragende Küche und ein super sympathischer Service! Wir haben hier wirklich super gegessen! Ich hatte die Leber mit Kartoffelstampf, Apfelspalten und einer extrem leckeren Sauce – das Gericht war hervorragend gut und ich würde es jederzeit wieder bestellen. Meine Begleitung hatte den weißen Spargel mit Kartoffeln und einer überragend guten Sauce Hollandaise. Ein ganz großes Lob an die Küche! Wünschenswert wären allerdings noch ein paar mehr vegetarische Speisen auf der Karte – einfach eine Auswahl an Pasta, Gnocchi oder Ähnlichem. Der Service war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Auch der Chef ist super sympathisch und höflich; er stand uns bei der Entscheidung sehr hilfreich zur Seite. Die Atmosphäre ist okay, für unseren Geschmack hätte es noch ein bisschen gemütlicher sein können, aber das ist ja bekanntlich Geschmackssache. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich (auch die Toiletten, die zudem einfach zu finden sind). Ein kleines Manko auf der Karte gibt es jedoch: Dass für eine Beilagenänderung extra Geld verlangt wird, hinterlässt ein doofes Gefühl. Auch wenn wir es selbst nicht in Anspruch nehmen mussten, passt so ein Aufpreis einfach nicht zu dem sonst so lockeren Umgang im Haus. Trotzdem: Wir kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder!

Haben gestern zu zweit, auch wegen der vielen guten Bewertungen bei Emma's gegessen. Gestern Abend war es kein Problem einen Tisch zu bekommen, das Lokal blieb auch relativ leer - wahrscheinlich wegen des Feiertags am nächsten Tag. Die Einrichtung, das Ambiente wirkt sauber, klar strukturiert, modern(?), aber für uns auch eher kalt, sehr wenig individuell, nicht gemütlich. Nichts wirklich zu kritisieren aber auch keine Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam, sehr freundlich, manchmal fast etwas zu viel. Die Speisekarte ist klein, aber mit einer guten Auswahl. Am Essen lässt sich wenig kritisieren. Die Kohlrabisuppe mit Orange und Rucolapesto ist lecker, ich hätte mir etwas mehr geschmackliche Intensität von Pesto und Orange gewünscht um kleine Akzente zu setzen. Leider gehen sie im Geschmack der Suppe weitgehend unter. Auch an den (Schweine)Schnitzeln lässt sich wenig meckern. Alles wohlschmeckend und lecker. Vielleicht könnte die Champignonrahmsauce etwas mehr Sauce sein, die Bratkartoffeln beim Spanitzel etwas dünner geschnitten - so sind es eher angebratene dicke Kartoffelscheiben. Aber das sind Kleinigkeiten. Insgesamt ein schöner Abend mit gutem Essen. Wenn ich einen Wunsch hätte, dann wäre es etwas mehr kulinarischer Mut und etwas mehr Individualität.

Wir haben gerade erst aufgegessen und jetzt muss ich ausnahmsweise tun, was ich sonst nie tue, nämlich im Internet bewerten, aber: es war allerfeinste Küche, alles perfekt abgestimmt!

Arrogantes Antwort auf Reservierung Nicht schön

Wir waren gestern mit der Familie im Emma‘s. Leider ist das Kassensystem ausgefallen und wir mussten 1 1/2h auf unser Essen warten, da man nach 45 Minuten noch einmal nachfragte, was wir bestellt hätten. Leider hat man es verpasst, uns eine Kleinigkeit als Übergang anzubieten. Einen Salat oder zumindest einen Brotkorb. Die Schnitzel und Cordon Bleus schmeckten saftig und nicht trocken. Auch Pommes Frites und Salatbeilage waren stimmig. Schönes Ambiente im Restaurant neben dem Café Zentral in Bochum.

Ich hatte Lamm mit Ratatouille und meine Schwester Schnitzel. Beides war einfach fantastisch, ein großartiges kulinarisches Erlebnis. Der Service war so freundlich und zuvorkommend, was in Deutschland nicht selbstverständlich ist, daher war unser Abendessen ein sehr angenehmes Erlebnis.

Das Restaurant überzeugt mit einem freundlichen und professionellen Service. Der Gastgeber ist charmant und humorvoll, ohne an Professionalität einzubüßen. Diese angenehme Atmosphäre wird jedoch nicht vollständig vom Ambiente ergänzt. Zwar ist die Räumlichkeit schick gestaltet, dennoch erinnert der Gesamteindruck etwas an eine Kantine, was die gewünschte Gemütlichkeit trübt. Vorspeise: Rindercarpaccio Das Rindercarpaccio bestach durch eine exzellente Fleischqualität, allerdings ließ die Komposition Raum für Verbesserung. Das Pesto war nicht optimal verteilt, was den Geschmack etwas eindimensional machte. Ein gewisser Crunch oder zusätzliche Aromen – wie Rucola oder Pinienkerne – hätten dem Gericht mehr Tiefe verliehen. Das beigelegte Knoblauchbaguette enttäuschte durch seine Quantität (nur zwei kleine Stückchen) und Qualität, die eher an ein Produkt aus dem Supermarkt erinnerte. Hier wurde Potenzial verschenkt, was die Vorspeise zu einer soliden, aber nicht herausragenden Erfahrung machte. Hauptgang: Zürcher Geschnetzeltes Das Zürcher Geschnetzelte enttäuschte leider. Während die Fleischqualität des Kalbs zart und hervorragend war, wirkte die Zubereitung geschmacklich unausgewogen. Der starke Weingeschmack dominierte das Gericht, was es schwer und fad erscheinen ließ. Die zwei dünnen Reibekuchen, die das Gericht begleiteten, hatten wenig Ausdruckskraft und boten keine spannende Textur oder Geschmacksergänzung. Die hinzugefügten Baconscheiben brachten zwar etwas Salzigkeit, wären jedoch besser in den Reibekuchen integriert gewesen, um eine harmonischere Gesamtkomposition zu erzielen. Optisch wirkte der Teller rustikal und unspektakulär. Auf einem helleren Teller hätte die Präsentation ansprechender und moderner gewirkt. Für einen Preis von 26,50 € war das Gericht enttäuschend und ließ kulinarischen Feinschliff vermissen. Dessert: Schokoladenküchlein Das Dessert war der Lichtblick des Abends. Das Schokoladenküchlein mit flüssigem Kern war handwerklich gelungen und geschmacklich überzeugend. Das dazu gereichte Waldbeerenkompott brachte eine angenehme Säure, jedoch war das Verhältnis zum Küchlein und dem Eis unausgewogen – die Säure dominierte zu stark. Insgesamt war das Dessert für 8,50 € ein gelungener Abschluss, wenn auch mit kleinen Abzügen in der Balance der Aromen. Fazit Das Restaurant punktet mit einem engagierten Service und hochwertigen Zutaten, verliert aber bei der Ausführung der Gerichte. Insbesondere der Hauptgang bleibt hinter den Erwartungen zurück, sowohl geschmacklich als auch optisch. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ausbaufähig, insbesondere bei den gehobenen Preisen. Für einen entspannten Abend mit gutem Service und passablen Gerichten ist das Restaurant eine Option, allerdings fehlt es an Raffinesse und Liebe zum Detail, um wirklich zu überzeugen.

Since I was visiting from the north, we went to this small, lovely, and very cozy restaurant after visiting the Christmas market, because my friend had already raved about it. Going without a reservation was naive, but we got lucky. The wine (Lugana) was truly excellent. The food was superb and fresh. My friend, himself a chef, praised the quality and preparation of the meat, as well as the sauce. The atmosphere was quiet but very welcoming, and the Ruhr area charm was very apparent to me, a northerner. I felt like I was among really good friends, and what could be better? The delicious, mild Hierbas warmed us up for the journey home. Highly recommended!

This is no way to treat guests. We were seated at a so-called "cat table" even though several tables at the front were unreserved. When we were finally allowed to sit at the front—so graciously—we were practically thrown out after two minutes. Such unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable, utterly disgraceful. I will never go there again!

Monday evening in Bochum on business and had no idea where to go. Then I discovered this rather unassuming restaurant near the main train station. I have to say, the service was top-notch and the food was top-notch. Excellent value for money. For this quality, the restaurant should be packed every night. I stayed overnight in Bochum on business on Monday evening and discovered this excellent restaurant. The regional and hearty cuisine on the menu convinced me to stop here. But then I had the Spanitzel (stuffed with cherizo, onions, chili and honey) with veal, and I experienced an explosion of flavor – simply fantastic and highly recommended! The service (the chef himself) was very friendly and attentive, and the beer was well-tapped and well-chilled. Unfortunately, they only serve 5 – otherwise, it would have been 8 🌟 🤗 For vegetarians, there's salad, savoy cabbage rolls, and tagliatelle. The prices are reasonable. Very good 👍

This was our second time here, and I'm glad I reserved a table—this restaurant is an absolute insider tip! A small but fine menu, super friendly staff, and very, very deliciously prepared dishes. In our case, we had one Sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings, and two Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, fries, and a side salad. Stopped there for lunch today on the way to the Starlight Express. A small schnitzel, fries, salad, and a mushroom cream sauce. Truly delicious, haven't had such a good meal in a long time. The meat was tender and juicy, the fries crispy and juicy inside. Nothing over-seasoned.

Today we had veal schnitzel and Königsberger meatballs here. We were very late, but we were still able to order. The service was very open, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The ambiance was very pleasant and cozy, the food was delicious, and the value for money was excellent! We'd be happy to go back anytime!

Nicely decorated, but the setting outside on the terrace was a bit lacking in comfort. The food was good; I think the preparation of the asparagus is a matter of taste, so it was okay, and the amount of sauce was very meager considering the price. Nevertheless, everything was delicious, the service attentive, and the ingredients fresh. Based on many great reviews, I had hoped for something more.

Very friendly and accommodating, we've been here again. The food is excellent, just like last time, and they're very accommodating. If you want a cozy, delicious meal, this is a good place. Another nice thing is that the music plays in the background, so you can have a great conversation.

There is the option to sit inside and outside. We sat inside and found it very nice and above all clean! We were served by Mr. W., which I have to emphasize because he is simply different. It wasn't the standard "I'm going to smile in a friendly way so I can get a tip" - no! Absolutely authentic. Here and there a casual saying but still something warm and open. Came out great! The food was really good too. The schnitzel and salmon were really good. Also just different than the same old salmon with a few ribbon noodles on the side. We were very pleased. And to Mr. W.: Please continue like this. Your words made me more than happy! All the best, continued love.

From start to finish our visit to this restaurant was simply outstanding. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed and led into a cozy, stylish atmosphere. The decoration was modern, yet warm and inviting - the perfect setting for an enjoyable meal. The menu offered an impressively special selection of dishes, all creatively presented and made from the finest ingredients. Particularly noteworthy are the seasonal dishes, which perfectly combine freshness and quality. Every detail of the dishes ordered was thought out and reflected the chef's love of craftsmanship. The service was also first class. The staff and the owner personally were attentive without being intrusive and were always available with a smile. We particularly liked that they took the time to explain the dishes and even drinks in detail, which made the whole experience even more personal. The crowning glory was the desserts. a treat for the palate and also a feast for the eyes – a perfect end to a perfect evening. Overall, this restaurant not only offers fantastic food, but also an ambience and service that make the visit an unforgettable experience. Eating on a side street in Bochum city center. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Were there with children, who were also greeted positively. The food was very tasty. We had versions of schnitzel and pork fillet. Everyone was excited. We had to wait a bit for the food, but in my opinion that said it was freshly prepared. All in all, a lovely evening and literally worth the price.

I don't write a positive review straight away, so I visited the restaurant a second time after my (our) first visit. :-) Based on my 5 stars in the areas of "food", "service" and "ambience", the experienced critic can quickly determine that I/we liked everything. A very attentive restaurateur welcomed us (June 22, 2024) in a timely and friendly manner and our desired dishes were served perfectly. I rarely have the feeling that I can feel “homely” after just two visits. This impression is also due to the friendly service of our service specialist. I will continue to study the lunch menu and am sure that I/we will be guests at the Emma's restaurant more often. With culinary greetings See you soon...:-)

Located in the immediate vicinity of other important restaurants in Bochum's city center, the term 'home-style' fully applies here. Food, drink and service are impeccable. All of this at really reasonable prices.

We went to Emma's for the first time today and can absolutely recommend the restaurant. The food tasted great (everyone can find something here) and we were served very nicely. The little guests are also looked after very well. We'd love to come back!
