Im sure the food is great, but the service definitely isn’t, we were seated outside, and waited for 15+ minutes for them to take our order. While waiting the people who had been seated after us got their order taken. Very bad service and impossible to get the servers attention. It was like we wasn’t even there, ended up leaving.

It's doable, the food was tasty, but a bit overpriced.

This place was recommended by a fellow Asian foodie, and it did not disappoint. The mung bean pancake with kimchi was crispy and not too oily. Bibimbab with tofu was great too, filled with vegetables which still had a nice slight crunch and crispy rice bits at the bottom of the pot. The spicy pork rice bowl also hit a spot. The service staff were the perfect combination of friendly and attentive. The hot ginger tea with honey on the side was perfect for a cold day. And the homemade sesame ice cream was the perfect finish to a very comforting meal.

Very good Korean restaurant. The bibimbap is delicious and generous. The homemade black sesame and matcha ice cream is exquisite. I highly recommend it.

Korean restaurant with various menus. It was kinda sad that Bulgogi was not thin enough for Bulgogi deoppbap and the portion of meat is not enough, but it is still understandable. But is it because we ordered lunch set menu? If so, it is kinda disappoining. Taste was good. Most of all, Jeon menu is recommended. Haemul jeon was just got cooked and the dipping sauce with onion was fantastic. I will definitely visit there again, but not really into bulgogi that time

Contrary to other korean spots I’ve been to in Berlin, YamYam just lacks the flavor and the right portion for a wholesome Bibimbap. I ordered beef and really got only maybe 4 good pieces of meat, rest was rice and vegetables. Given how much they charge, it would be safe to assume that you barely get your dollars worth here!

The food is ordinary. We had bulgogi, bibimbab, and fried mandu. The bulgogi was good, the bibimbab was okay, but we didn't like the fried mandu. You could tell they'd taken it straight from the freezer and fried it. You sit on stools. It wasn't very crowded when we went, but I suspect it wouldn't be very comfortable during peak hours. It's a place that appeals more to younger crowds. Cash is not accepted; you can only pay with credit/debit cards.

Quite okay. But at €18, Binbim Bap Beef is unfortunately no longer the best in town. There are better alternatives for €12. It was really excellent 6 years ago, but now it's double the price and the beef is replaced with more rice, leaving me disappointed.

Every time I go to Berlin I go to YamYam because of how good it is. It doesn't matter what you pick, it's going to be good. The service is also so incredibly nice and outgoing, it feels like going into a friend's house.

Everything was great, just a bit cramped for seating outside. The food was really delicious, and the service was excellent. We didn't have to wait long, and it was delicious. We paid €60 for two people, including tip and drinks. I think that's totally reasonable. (What was left over was packed up for us with a smile.)

Right across the street from Rocycle mitte and perfect hearty bowls of food , right after a workout , which hits the spot, food so good , I forgot to take pics ! I have come here twice now and had Jukgaejang ( highly recommended) , bulgogi dobbab with chicken and haemul nokdu choen . Friendly staff , bit on the expensive side though.

I don't usually write reviews, but I was so disappointed that I decided to write one. I paid 17.50 for a plate of meat and rice with sweet sauce. The dish simply tasted of nothing! The service was very good, but the value for money isn't worth it. Unfortunately, I will never go back. I know another South Korean restaurant that is infinitely better.

One of the disgusting experiences ever. I tried to chose soup cause every were spicy and waitress recommended me not spicy vegan soup Miyok Guk I asked is portion enough to satiate and she answered “for one person portion is enough” Okay She served to me plate full of boullion and couple of green seaweed (water and a little bit of grass) and A small plate of rice that's glued together long time before.i was shocked that here it name SOUP Just imagine plate with water and few leaves of seaweed….. I asked is it really name soup cause I really don’t understand what they served to people trying name it like BIG PORTION OF SOUP. She answered that it’s vegan. I asked for vegan mean nothing? Just water and few leaves of seaweed it’s ok? She begun scream on me that is was my choice Are you kidding me? First: who give you rights to scream at me? I am your client Second: how you in general can sell this name the soup? What is it? Maybe I am too far from Korean food to understand maybe it’s special leaves that on the brink of extinction? I am mad that I needed to pay for this(or maybe I am not so intelligent for understanding high kitchen) Also it was awful soup at taste thank you.

The service was really friendly, and the shop itself is nice. But the food is way too expensive for what it is. A kimpab for 10 euros is crazy, and the soups were unfortunately very tasteless.

Delicious Korean restaurant. We've been eating there for years. Our favorite dish, Zapzeh Dobbab, recently cost €11, but now it's a ridiculous €17! Rice with fried noodles and vegetables! Absurd! We won't be coming back.

I had japchae rice and bulgogi rice bowl and both were very delicious! It's a bit salty, but when I asked for water, they gave me free cool water :) There was a lot of water, so I was happy. Kimchi is provided for free if you request it when ordering from the menu.

Tasty Korean in the heart of Berlin Came to YamYam due to a friend’s recommendation and really loved the place. Huge portions, spicy crispy kimchi (unlimited!) and just great service. Perfect for summer nights out Will definitely come again!

The stuff is very kind, friendly and helpful. I was in a korean restaurant with my boyfriend for the first time so we didn’t know what to order, and the waitress took her time going through the entire menu explaining each dish, helping us choose the right dish for us, especially for me since I'm vegan. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. The ambience is very pleasant. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different or who is already familiar with Korean food because it is excellent there.

90% of the people were Westerners, and most of them seemed to eat a lot of bibimbap. It was raining and the weather was gloomy, so I thought it would be perfect to have kimbap with jjanchi noodles or ramen, but the refreshing kimchi made up for it. The kimbap was bland and edible, but the kimchi was delicious, so I gave it 5 stars.

Very enjoyable experience for lunch, as I remembered it from a good while back. The bibimbap was as it should be, the only thing that really bothered me was that it wasn't short grain rice but long grain rice, noticeable difference and hopefully only a temporary thing, maybe they ran out? The soup my friend had was super tasty and the fried fish cakes were a surprise hit. It gets busy during lunch time, on the weekend at a slightly later hour than on weekdays I assume.

We had mandu, bibimbap, and dubu bokeum (tofu, vegetables, spicy sauce, and rice) with kimchi. Everything was delicious, wonderfully spicy, and easy to digest. Friendly service. It was a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

Cute place with pleasant staff. Ordered bibimbap, pretty big portion, good taste, but nothing special. Also, as it is Mitte with a lots of offices and tourists, prices are higher than they should be (16,5 Euro for Bibimpap🙃) I would say it is a good place to have a meal if you are near by, but not something I would go for specifically.

I really like Korean food, but this place didn't impress me with its flavors. The only dish I'd return for is the popcorn ice cream; it's truly delicious and creative.

Super delicious! The service couldn't be better. We really liked this place. I recommend trying the Tiger beer, the fried sehu mandu, a delight, and the bulgogi dobbad if you like sweeter and sour flavors. The jukgaejang is spicy, but also very delicious and warm, even comforting in the cold. I would definitely go again :) Thank you for your excellent service!

I used to go there quite often and always loved it. This time, I was really disappointed. The food is still delicious, as it always was, but when we asked for tap water, we were told not to. We had to pay for drinks. That was never a problem before… It's a real shame, given the prices…

The food was very nice, however the portion size does not warrant the price. I understand that everything is becoming more expensive, but it still seems a bit much to me. Service was very nice and attentive and made the whole experience better. The food itself is not necessarily authentic, however it does taste good and I think it’s a good place to go if you’re inexperienced with Korean food (as I think the food is made to match western taste)

Very friendly atmosphere. There is only card payment. The bulgogi was super tasty. The homemade lemonades are also very refreshing and delicious. The service is friendly and fond of children.

The food was incredible and so yummy the atmosphere is great and the servers are really nice, for dinner it’s best to reserve as it gets quite busy!

The taste is average, the rice is a bit sticky, there are quite a lot of vegetables, the meat is a bit lacking, and the kimchi is surprisingly delicious!

Alright food. Long wait time for everything (half hour between ordering and food). Kimchi pancake was undercooked. Appetizers came out same time with entrees, which probably made the wait feel so long. It's good for something no frills, but nothing outstanding.

Unfortunately, apart from the kimchi and rice, I didn't like the food. It looked completely different in the photo – in fact I only got a bowl of water. I therefore cannot recommend Zampong

Had 2 dishes, Kimchi Pancake and Jukgaejang soup. Nice flavors, less spicy then what I like. Soup had barely any meat inside which is why only 4 stars for food.

What should I say.. It's not food made by Koreans, but it tastes like it was made by a Westerner who is very passionate about Korean food haha. It's not that it's not that delicious. I think it would be good to set aside too high standards for a while and eat it to get a little taste of Korea in a foreign country.

Went to Yam Yam as it was recommended, falls short of expectations and experience. Ordered the minced pork with kimchi soup and rice. It wasn't spicy, not enough flavours and the restaurant fails Korean food culture by not providing tap water. Little things which matter to provide a true experience as possible. Also, they do not have spicy hot pot ramyeon eg:budae jjigae which is a shame or have a sharing pot option as Asians like to share our meal as part of our culture and tradition.

Seven years ago, we discovered this Korean restaurant during a trip to Berlin. Since then, Korean cuisine has developed much more massively, and we have become accustomed to its flavors. The fact remains that Yam Yam offers consistently high-quality cuisine. When we go to Berlin, we always try to book a table there. The place continues to offer a global recipe combining simplicity, authenticity, and deliciousness at prices that are always reasonable and affordable. We recommend it without hesitation ;)

I ordered pork kimchi stew, but it didn't have the refreshing taste of kimchi stew and everything was vague. It tastes like soy sauce, and more than anything, the meat is minced meat, so it feels like bulgogi meat added to bland kimchi stew. If you're going to eat kimchi stew, the original would be better.

Had a beef soup with very little meat in it. Really hardly. Was disappointed. Friend's dish was very tasty again.

VERY centrally located in Berlin-Mitte, quite popular Korean restaurant. During our visit we encountered extremely nice service. The reservation worked exactly, the food was delicious. We were only surprised by the portioning of the main dishes (bibimbap and bulgogi). We found the ratio of “meat/vegetables” to “rice” to be too economical, even taking the price into account (a lot of rice, very little vegetables/meat). I don't know whether that's just typical for this restaurant or perhaps for Korean cuisine as a whole, we don't (still) have any comparisons.

I've been going there for a while now, the portions have became a LOT smaller than before and it's not as tasty as it used to be. Too expensive, it's not worthy anymore

Wait an hour, at a delivery time that is definitely not busy. Burgers that even a 10 year old can put together. No unique selling point, taste bland and uninspired. There are two entrances to two separate spaces. The space we were in had two staff members that were so very helpful, kind and friendly, which makes a very big difference to the experience. The food was delicious, fairly priced and fair portions. Everything was clean and the sound control within the space is also good.

The waiter will be there to emotionally blackmail you until you give him a tip. Terrible behavior. Not advisable at all. very irritating
