Ngo Kim Pak in Berlin

This Korean eatery is conveniently located near the station, making it easy to access. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately, the food is not authentic. I tried the kimchi jiggae, but it was extremely salty. While it has a hipster vibe, it’s not the place to go for authentic Korean food.

The food was too greasy and not very seasoned overall (we had fries, japchae, and galbi jjim)... and also more expensive than comparable quality on Kantstrasse. Overhyped 😅

I tried the bulgogi and kimchi bun, homemade fires, fired chicken with spicy sauce, shrimp tempura and dumplings. And matcha ice cream mochi for dessert. Everything was amazing. Bulgogi buns were really tasty with a great kimchi. Homemade fries were just right. Shrimps were huge and tasty, really liked it. Fried chicken and its sauce were a great combination, it tasted perfect. Dumplings could be better though. We liked the matcha ice cream but the beans inside mochi was tasting weird.

I can't comment on the pork ribs since I didn't try them, but my friend who did liked them 👍🏻 The cass beer was very good. The fries were delicious, like homemade. I don't know if it's because the bibimbap is vegetarian, but I didn't like it that much, or maybe I just make it better ;)) The chicken was good. We found a seat right away on the day and time we went. But they usually don't have a seat, so it's best to make a reservation before going.

One of the better Koreans in town. Very good ingredients and authentic taste. Service and atmo also very good. Can only recommend.

Tasty Korean street food in a nice atmosphere. NGO Kim Pak is within easy walking distance to Savingyplatz. Highly recommend the Korean fried chicken as well as the honey ribs. Prices are ok for Berlin standards even though there many less expensive Asian restaurants in close vicinity.

Very delicious food. Unfortunately, I personally find the menu a bit confusing and difficult to understand. Nevertheless, it's an invitation to try and discover new things.

Great authentic food with nice service at a good location

I chose this restaurant based on the reviews and because the menu appealed to me, and I was looking forward to simple and delicious street food. The staff is very friendly, and the Riesling was good (albeit at €12 for a 0.2 glass). Beyond that, all three of us were disappointed: The atmosphere is like a cafeteria, which ultimately wouldn't have bothered me, but the food, unfortunately, isn't above cafeteria quality either.

The service was friendly and attentive, the food came quickly. The ambience is nice and quiet, in a pleasant area, and we were able to sit outside. The food was very authentic and tasted really good. We particularly liked the kimchi and the chicken bun - both real highlights. This time too we were not disappointed by The Duc Ngo. A solid restaurant with delicious Asian cuisine that we would happily recommend.

The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and despite a small issue with our food which was taken care of right away, all was great. The proportion of quality to price and size was very good and it bears repeating-the food was awesome! The only remark I would make is to read carefully what comes with your order. We mistakenly assumed that our main courses would come with rice. Definitely recommend!

I had the bibimbab with bulgogi (17€) and found it quite tasty. For me, the bulgogi in particular tasted very authentic. I found it a bit of a shame that the dish didn't come in a hot stone bowl. This often gives the rice delicious roasted aromas. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside in the sun, but the atmosphere in the restaurant is also invitingly casual. Service was friendly and relatively quick. Overall, a solid recommendation for the lunch break, but not that exceptional.

Really delicious Korean street food. With a large selection. I recommend trying the buns. The one with the king prawn is extremely tasty. The sauces are all different and some have a unique selling point. Just the one from the tempura bun. We'll definitely be back Korean Chicken is also awesome

It's been a while since last visit. Service was top, bao bun very tasty, kimchi good. Ribs very ordinary. It's easy to sit outside, but I wasn't inside. The boss of the whole thing was sitting with his family a few tables away, clear pro.

All in all, of course, very tasty and the entire concept is well thought out! We had some of the small “tapas” and found everything very good across the board. A few of the chicken parts were a bit tough, but that didn't detract from the experience.

Modern Korean cuisine is served here. I thought the food was really outstanding! Very flavorful, marinated, and plenty to choose from. Bulgogi was a bit chewy, that was the only disappointment. The team is friendly, but it is a bit strange that the dishes are not served at the same time - in our case there were sometimes 15 minutes between individual main courses. The atmosphere is modern and cozy. Overall, highly recommended!

Das Essen war sehr lecker (bis auf die Mochis; die machten einen eher trockenen Eindruck). Die war Bedienung war einigermaßen aufmerksam. Die Stühle laden nicht zum langen Verweilen ein. Bei der Portionsgröße gibt es Sternabzug für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Für eine größere Gruppe sollte man länger im Voraus buchen (mindestens 1 Woche).

Immer wieder lecker und eine „Bank“ an gutem und frischem Essen.

Der Service war von Beginn an schwierig, obwohl wir reserviert hatten. Die Begrüßung fast unfreundlich. Der Service leicht chaotisch, die Speisen kamen nicht in der richtigen Reihenfolge und es gab trotz Nachfrage mehrmals falsche Aussagen in Bezug auf das Essen, das passiert, wenn man das Essen nicht kennt und sich nicht damit beschäftigt. Die einzige weibliche Servicekraft des Abends war jedoch sehr kompetent und hat versucht, die vorangegangenen Fehler gut zu machen. Leider war es aufgrund der verwechselten Vorspeisen unmöglich für meine Begleitung die Hauptspeise zu essen, bezahlen mussten wir sie trotzdem. Hier hätte ich mir mehr Kulanz gewünscht. Das Angebot einer kostenlosen Nachspeise haben wir abgelehnt, da wir einfach zu satt waren. Da viele Restaurants unter demselben Besitzer hier angesiedelt sind, waren wir vom Service "negativ" überrascht, in den angrenzenden Restaurants, die alle zusammen gehören ist der Service übrragend gut und die dort arbeitenden Teams mehr als freundlich. Geschmacklich hervorragend, wobei und das ist sicherlich eine persönliche Einschätzung, die Vorspeisen und To-Share-Gerichte wesentlich geschmackvoller sind als die Hauptgerichte.

I visited Ngo Kim Pak and overall had a mixed experience. The store is modern and beautifully designed, which immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. However, we found it a bit disappointing that we were given a time limit of 1.5 hours immediately upon arrival. The food was good, but I felt the prices were a bit too high for what was on offer. It was also a shame that in this medium to higher price range the tables were not cleared at the end and there was no demand for further drinks. Overall it was a nice visit, but there is definitely room for improvement. That's why I give it three stars.

I tried Korean Chicken here. The chicken was very hard and crispy and dry. Unfortunately the sauces weren't my thing either. It's a shame when people say that the shop has something to do with the popular restaurant around the corner.

The bibimbap was very disappointing. I had never eaten such a simple and loveless dish before. The portion is also very small for €17. It tastes much better and more authentic at other Korean restaurants. And no dogs allowed inside :-( But nice waitress there. We would not go there again

The outer skin is a bit hard but overall it is delicious. Recommended restaurant.
