Xavers Ranch in Meschede

My husband and I ate at your place yesterday, October 14th. I had the pepper steak cooked rare, and it was perfect, cooked to perfection. A big thank you to the chef who made it. In my 65 years, I've never eaten such a tender and delicious steak. Top-notch!

A very beautiful farm, with clean and modern holiday apartments. The menu is comprehensive, and the food is of a very high standard. We didn't lack for anything. If you're looking for seclusion, like we were, this is the place for you.

When you see the farm dog, you almost cry. The bitch looks lonely, too. Even a farm dog can be cared for. The accommodations are terrible! It would definitely do the bitch good to be properly brushed and washed. Sorry, but how can you keep a farm dog like that!

We had a wonderful meal there with our family on my birthday. My grandchildren had a blast on the playground and with the animals. Xaver Ranch is definitely recommended.

Not since yesterday. We've been coming here for years to enjoy the peace and quiet and good food. Yesterday, we went for the first time with four friends to eat with them. At 5:15 p.m., we were told that all the tables were already reserved, even though almost all were free and there were no information signs. We were practically kicked out of the beer garden. No go!

On Easter Sunday, we took a break during our hike and stopped here. We received a warm welcome, friendly service, and felt completely at home.

We stumbled upon this wonderful place by chance and spent a wonderful, relaxing week at the Eiche holiday home. Everything was top-notch, without exception. The accommodation was super clean and spacious, and our dog and children were more than welcome. The hosts were very relaxed. The food at the on-site restaurant was very good, and the service was outstanding. The proximity to Lake Hennesee lured us there several times to swim in the clear water (including with our dog at the edge of the bathing bays). A definite recommendation!

We went hiking nearby and then stopped at the restaurant. That the kitchen doesn't serve hot meals until 5:30 p.m. is irrelevant. The "service" provided by the staff present was grotesquely poor, however. Many guests were simply ignored and had to wait endlessly and/or force payment on their own initiative. However, the ladies had plenty of time for private conversations, smoking e-cigarettes, and putting up reserved signs.

We went there for dinner today. The waitresses were very attentive, friendly, and prompt: 5☆. The tenderloins were tender as butter, the plate was beautifully decorated, and the sauce was a dream: 5☆. The ambiance: rustic and cozy: 5☆. All in all: We highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good, relaxed meal.

The food was fantastic! Pork medallion with the best mushroom cream sauce in the world, along with potato croquettes and a lovely, fresh salad. The best food I've had in the region. The kids' schnitzel and my boyfriend's pepper steak were also delicious! The service was good, the building is beautiful, the people are lovely, and the cappuccino was also very pleasant! I saw that you can also sleep there, which seems really great and highly recommended: a quiet area with a playground, a private area for guests, a restaurant, and a few animals (I wouldn't call it a petting zoo, as some reviews suggest, or I missed a part). I'll keep this place in mind for the future!

The ranch is located somewhere in the middle of nowhere in a beautiful, rustic setting surrounded by plenty of greenery to look around and plenty for the kids to explore (including a playground). The food was beautifully presented and more than filling, and the service was courteous and very prompt. I'd happily recommend it, but be aware that the prices are a bit high.

Hi, We were at Xaver's Ranch restaurant today and were completely impressed. Pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff, and excellent food. I had the Vellinghauser Krüstchen, which I will definitely order again on my next visit. It tasted very good, delicate, and the salad dressing (at least for me) was a hit. I'm waiting for spring. Then I can combine motorcycling in the Sauerland with Xaver's Ranch 😎👍☀️ Update in summer 2025: The aforementioned Krüstchen was excellent again.

We've been here several times. Whether for coffee and cake in the afternoon or for dinner in the evening. The price and quality have always been excellent. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. In my experience, this is a great place for celebrations, a great meal, or coffee and cake. We always enjoy coming back 👌🏼

Had a delicious dinner in the coziest surroundings. Even when it rained it was lovely under the large parasols on the terrace. Schnitzel, burger and pasta dish were super good. The ice cream desserts were great. Unfortunately no Coca Cola but their local apple juice was a nice alternative to the German cola.

The grill buffet tastes good, but is far too expensive.

Had a lovely meal in a beautiful location. Did not use the hotel.

After walking around Vanderweg, we stopped by Xavier halfway through the journey - and didn’t expect to see so many people! The atmosphere is like a holiday. Fast service, beer, drinks, ice cream, food - everything you need. A warm welcome, a pleasant stop before heading home.

The “petting zoo” turned out to be a failure. The building is not allowed to be entered because of the llama; children are allowed to pet the animals through the fence. Pony riding is only for holiday guests, the website promises much more! It's a shame because we had to walk 2 hours to get here. We would probably wait for coffee tomorrow.

Positive: - (walking) Location - brand new apartment "chicken coop" Negative: - you need a car to get to "civilized" world. - it is not (clearly) stated that the apartment is only accessible via a steep staircase. Very dangerous for small children and not suitable for larger dogs that are not used to climbing (steep) stairs. - when staying in winter/Christmas, the beer garden and disco are not open, nothing special is done around the Christmas spirit. - staff is very unfriendly, impersonal - there are no cleaning supplies available, you will receive a very offensive email afterwards that you left the apartment very dirty and untrue statements that dogs slept in the bed (due to shedding) - lighting of the site is insufficient if you want to walk the dogs in the evening or walk to the parking lot where your car is located All in all, not an accommodation we will return to.

We were here during our Christmas holidays and moved into a holiday apartment. The apartment was very comfortable, the only thing missing was a dishwasher. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, super attentive staff and great dishes. Absolutely recommended.

Echt overheerlijk gegeten in deze knusse maar niet oubollige boerderij. De inrichting is knus, wat lange tafels waardoor het erg gezellig oogt. Bediening is erg vriendelijk en correct, er is voldoende keuze aan gerechten en het eten is in één woord overheerlijk! We hadden een zwiebel rostbraten en een oma’s schnitzel pfanne en beide waren echt ontzettend goed en smaakvol. De vijf sterren meer dan waard wat ons betreft

We held our Christmas party there and most of us were there for the first time. Everyone was excited. The food came quickly, despite the large number of guests, and everyone enjoyed it very much. Price/performance perfectly fine. The service was super friendly and attentive. The ranch is outside, beautifully situated. Everything clean and well maintained. Thanks for the great evening, we'll be back in the summer!

Hey, I've been going here several times a year for a while now. I often vacationed here for several days and went on many day trips with my family and girlfriend. I can say that the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. You can feel at home here, the food was always delicious, the service was always great and the farm dog (Funny & later Frieda) was always very loyal and also one of the many reasons for my return. The rooms are cozy and the surroundings are stimulating for some walks.

Unfortunately I can't recommend it. The location and location is nice. However, the service is subpar. We sat outside and would have liked to eat something. The waitress also walked around outside, cleared away glasses and asked the neighboring tables if anything was missing, but we were persistently ignored and finally left. This happened to us there a long time ago. We don't have to have that anymore in the future.

Thanks to Ebay Classifieds :) we drove to this beautiful place, thanks to the gentleman's recommendation we ended up in the restaurant. First of all, very, very nice service, it was very busy and the waitresses were always attentive and friendly. It is rural and has a very nice charm, there is a lot of care and love in the complex. There is a spacious playground behind the house as well as ponies and a llama (but there are probably more animals) Kudos to the kitchen!!!! It was rush hour and despite everything, the crowd moved quickly. It was very tasty and well seasoned, my children gave it 10/10 :) Price performance is definitely justified, the meat is fresh and organic. The country beer was delicious, you should try it, unfortunately the organic apple juice was out but who knows, maybe we'll come again :) thanks for the nice service and ambience

Wonderful half-timbered farm complex located near the picturesque Hennesee. Delicious home-style dishes at an upscale level turn a visit into a real gastronomic experience. Our spontaneous visit to the restaurant was rounded off by the extremely friendly and attentive service staff. Big praise and thank you for this gastronomic experience!
