Food very good. Service very friendly. Beautiful atmosphere especially at Christmas time

Went in to sample the local beer and wine. Nice, modern place, incorporating the old building into the decor. Went back for food in the evening and the food was the best I had in my 2 weeks around bavaria/franconia/rhineland .

Extremely unfriendly waiter, never been served so unfriendly, even though we were guests two evenings in a row.

Burgundy roast with dumplings and red cabbage...I was there on a Monday and so my dish came to the table...it was more of a "Monday roast" that I had caught there...a few small, crumbled "end pieces" of meat with it Sauce and dumplings! The atmosphere was really nice, one of the waitresses wasn't very keen but that made up for it. Price performance doesn't work either...Ratskeller Feel free to take a look but then get out again quickly...Sorry but that's how it is... that could be better 👎🏻

I was a guest in the Ratskeller several times. Food was always great. If it's not too cold, you can sit in the courtyard.

Was here for the first time this year. Rarely eaten so well. In fact, even.

We got a table outside in the pleasant evening sun and were very happy with the atmosphere. Our waitress was also very attentive. However, our dishes were mediocre.

The environment is elegant and comfortable, and the food tastes good. But the service attitude was really bad, I had to wait for a long time before the food was served. The lack of service attitude directly affects the appetite.

Great. Large eatery/restaurant with typical Franconian cuisine. Everything was very tasty, fresh and well prepared. Fast and friendly service. Super tasty Schäufele, but all the other dishes were great too.

This is how you imagine a Ratskeller. Food came quickly. It was tasty and filling. The wine spritzer is very tasty.

The Schäufele wasn't really to our taste. The crust wasn't cut, the knife was dull, the coleslaw was poorly made. Price: expensive expensive expensive

Really nice location with a great location! The staff was nice, but they misplaced/swapped a few things. Although we were a large group (50 people), we made reservations and registered our dishes in advance. We waited about an hour for food. Food arrived lukewarm. Tagliatelle with pesto was tasteless and covered in cream. The grilled vegetables turned out to be 4 grilled tomatoes. The portions were all very small. The prices were not justified for the quality and portion size! We went home mostly hungry.

We visited the Würtzburger Ratskeller and were disappointed. We didn't have time to enjoy the aperitif before the main course was served - they arrived at the same time. Also, the food was not hot, which ruined the experience. We had expected better service and quality.

First you sit for ages and wait for service, then a cold mushroom soup comes. Then someone keeps walking past, even though there are lots of empty glasses on the table. It's a shame that guests and sales aren't that important :(

12-08-2024 Very nice reception (they knew about our honeymoon), good beer, mineral water and coke were nice and cold. Hochzeitessen and the sausage with sauerkraut and bread was brilliant. Service was perfect. Clean toilets. We sat inside in a pleasant environment. There are two terraces outside (both front and back). We sat in a corner inside on benches that were comfortable: not for sitting on all evening. Ceiling is very beautiful, you really eat in a medieval environment. At a certain point there was no more service. We wanted to order dessert around 9:00 PM, but it turned out that the kitchen was already closed, despite the fact that the menu indicated that the kitchen would be open until 10:00 PM. It would have been nice if the waiter had informed us about this, so that we could have ordered our dessert on time. If this bit of 'service' had been okay, we would have given 5 stars.

Was there with a few friends I ordered a schnitzel So something carelessly done I've never seen it, not sometimes in a chip shop! The Schnitzel was tasteless and... the fries weren't right through. Mayo or ketchup you can easily get it in one little bag clapped and that for 20€ Service was totally unfriendly and unmotivated, was a strong one Mister. Never ever. I will never go there again and can't recommend it either!

My pork dish wasn't cooked through, and had to go back. By the time the replacement arrived, my family had finished eating. The English translated menu had only a few dishes on it compared to the Full German menu. At the end of the meal, the German guests next to us were offered a glass of Schnapps each. We were not. Guess the waitress didn't like the British for some reason. It's completely different from the excellent service we received from Beef 800, down the road.

Very unfriendly male service, was totally annoyed even though there was little going on. The customers bother them. Probably has the wrong job. On the window sill decoration, thick cobwebs. I won't go there anymore!

High (sometimes excessive) prices in a nice atmosphere. The dishes are not worth their price. For example, a pork schnitzel with fries and an additional side salad costs an impressive 24.70 euros. A small pot of coffee 4.50 euros. A beautifully prepared apple strudel with a mediocre taste costs 9.80 euros. The Ratskeller naturally benefits greatly from its location. However, we observed that some potential guests left with a shake of their heads after looking at the menu. It's not a question of whether you can afford it, but rather whether you're willing to pay any price. The price/performance ratio should be right. Things are currently falling apart in the Ratskeller.

We were a large bus group and had reservations for Friday evening and Saturday evening for 49 people We have always pre-ordered the food in the afternoon so that it is more relaxed for the staff First and foremost, the waiter was an absolute dud The 6 of us wanted to sit together at a table and then we were immediately told that these tables were reserved for other people. You have to fill up the other individual seats. Mind you, no one came until we left Then there was the food, which was a disgrace I ordered pork loin steak with fries for 23.90 euros, I got them with croquettes 😡 after asking, the operator said either take it that way or you don't need anything 😡😡 Unfortunately I was so hungry that I took it On the plate was a pork loin steak weighing about 120 grams and 6 croquettes and the side salad came after the meal for 23.90 euros 😡 When the operator also said he hated people from Upper Palatinate, we paid immediately Had to pay 28.40 and didn't give him a tip The next day, 11 of our 49 people went in because of the guy We bought a very good Schäufele in another restaurant and everything was great But you'll never see us again because no guest has to accept what happens here 😡😡😡 Unfortunately I have to give one star, I would normally only give 0 😡😡

Unfortunately, the food didn't completely convince us: bratwurst and fries for the children were good. However, the burger patty was quite hard and the rösti pan was (at least it felt like) 100% made from convenience/frozen products. The light was great and the second round of apple spritzer on the house for the children was a really good idea in the hot weather. The service was top: extremely attentive, very friendly and cheerful and had a kind word for our son (much to his delight) at every opportunity.

I have actually been visiting the Ratskeller for many years. But I haven't been there for a while now. The schnitzel we ordered was subpar for the high price of just under €21, extremely dry, the fries had no taste and were hard. Unfortunately there wasn't even a side salad with it. What should be highlighted was the extremely courteous and nice staff.

Very nice atmosphere! It offers tasty food in a quiet and relaxed location. The food is made from high quality ingredients and can be enjoyed at excellent prices. Gladly again. Not to forget: The staff is very attentive but no one is perfect.

Beautiful and dreamlike ambience. Since it was chanterelle season, I ordered the summer salad with chanterelles. The salad was delicious and generous with chanterelles.

First the positive. The ambience is absolutely worth seeing. Enjoying a glass of beer or wine is almost a “must”. Unfortunately, while eating I can only judge my alleged pork fillet medallions for €28.80. The alleged fillet medallions were probably parts of a pork loin steak. If there had been 2 or 3 beautiful loin medallions, the price would have matched the ambience and the food. But it's a rip off. Recommendation from me. Just take a look and leave again.

A bit expensive for the size of the portions

Today we sat in the courtyard of the Ratskeller. The Ifeuhof is a very attractive location. Very cozy and quiet, despite the hectic city center nearby. The service was courteous, attentive and quick. But: The food did not meet the expectations that one associates with a Ratskeller. Unfortunately, very little was homemade. The burger paddy was cold inside, an indication that it came from the freezer bag. The fries could have been crosser. The price-performance ratio is not right here. The councilman's steak was decently average. Maybe you should think about reducing the menu in order to increase the quality. The location of the Ratskeller is suitable for tourists. The entrance in Langgasse is barrier-free. You can park for a fee in the parking garage under the town hall.

We were back in Würzburg after years and had a very good meal here.

Hunger and a storm led us to the Ratskeller. We were given a place in the partially covered courtyard and were able to have lunch there despite the rain. The ambience there is very special; it's easy to live there between pillars and under archways, especially in summer. The waiter was very attentive and super nice - great service. The food - baked potato with leaf spinach and grilled vegetables as well as tagliatelle with walnut-parsley pesto - beautifully prepared and very tasty. For dessert there was cheesecake and apple pie, both still a little warm. We can definitely recommend the Ratskeller.

Visited this restaurant twice in two days. Lovely food. Good value, too. Friendly service from the very hardworking smiley lady. Sitting alfresco in what feels like the beating heart of Wurzberg. I'm definitely coming here again the next time we visit this lovely city

The food was very expensive and not tasty. Tip was refused by the waiter. They were then held back due to a billing error on their part. The other waiters were courteous.

Had an amazing mushroom Schnitzel here with a side of their homemade spaetzle. It was so good but I wish there was more sauce. The salad was good as well, but the service was a bit lacking. I would recommend coming here and trying the Schnitzel but also portions are a bit big

We came with 7 people, the unfriendly waiter sent us away and didn't tolerate the fact that we wanted to sit together, even though there was enough space. This restaurant no longer needs to respond to customer requests. But luckily there are enough places where you get good service.

Beautiful ambience in the historic inner courtyard. Friendly and attentive service. The portion of chanterelles in cream sauce for 23.80 is a generous portion. Unfortunately the cream sauce was unseasoned and without any herbs, which was a shame, so only three out of five stars for the meal.

Well, it only scores points for its location and the name Ratskeller, where you immediately think “it must be pretty good”. My steak was very soft and even my friend's fries were partially cooked, as if they had been in the oven for too long. Price performance, 40 minutes wait is unfortunately only 3 stars. Hunger drives it in. The wheat, on the other hand, is great!

Food is average but the service is unpleasant, leaving the bad Taste of the city in the mouth. When we told the waitress that we would like to pay when she came up to clean the table, she was very rude and speaking out loudly "Eilig, eilig, immer eilig! (Quick, quick, always quick)". I don't understand why she behaved so rude while we just asked for a bill politely. With no service during our dinning, she still indicated that we should tip her when we paid our bill. It is a shame for the city to give tourists such bad experience.

On a hot day, we had lunch in the air-conditioned restaurant. When I said I'd like to share some sausage, they brought me two small plates. The house beer is delicious, and the food and ordering are quick. The restaurant required a tip, but I was happy to pay. The food was hot and very delicious.

Just been there... ABSOLUTE TOURIST TRIP!!! For 2 mediocre bratwursts with dry, bad fries €16.90!!!! paid ! Despite asking when ordering, the waiter did not inform us about the price! No money back despite complaint! Absolute NO GO...NEVER again! NOT RECOMMENDED !

From the menu “For small appetites” 23.90 euros. Then you can expect some quality. Pork loin with chanterelles and spaetzle. 2 small slices of loin, 2 chanterelles and a sauce from the bag. Floury, thick and no taste of chanterelles

The Ratskeller, like everywhere else, is close to the center. A very busy restaurant. Reservation definitely required. We were there on Sunday lunchtime around 1:30 p.m. All seats occupied. Despite the hectic pace, the service staff had everything under control. A madness. The food also came relatively quickly and didn't deteriorate in quality despite the variety of food. Our food, sauerbraten and Hütterzauber were delicious. Not too expensive for Würzburg city center. We will be back definitely. Ratskeller again today. Outstanding beef goulash and Schäufele really tasty and large portions. Very professional and friendly service. Excellent bottles at normal prices.

Great atmosphere and delicious food

Good food, and they were very (i mean very) fast. I think we only had to wait 15 minutes for our food to arrive. However, my brother ordered a burger wich sadly was a bit too pink. Anyways, the staff was supernice and the place had a calm, old-stylish atmosphere. Would reccomend!

We only had a glass of wine on their patio and on a nice day like this it's a great experience. Professional and knowledgeable staff who wanted us to try more of Würzburg's white wines, which we did. The vaults are very carefully and solidly decorated, so next time maybe there will be a bite to eat in the vaults, because we will definitely be back. Recommended

We ended up in this restaurant by chance when a storm suddenly hit Würzburg and we were thrilled! Really good food and really good wine in a great cellar atmosphere. There are minimal deductions for the fact that the waiter could have been a little more attentive since there were few guests that day. Otherwise absolutely recommended!

The food came within 10 minutes. There is no freshly cooked/fried food there. The only juicy thing is the prices there. The burger was hard and twice burned. My wife had the baked Camembert, dry and bland. The location is great, but that's no reason to take advantage of your guests. Well, once and never again...

We got a seat quite spontaneously and the waitresses were really great. You felt comfortable, the food came quickly and was very tasty.

Unfortunately, it was rarely eaten badly, the gratinated camembert was floury, asparagus with schnitzel was cold, the burger was frozen meat, fries were too soft, the prices are clearly too high for that, especially since you are sitting next to a construction site. Not recommended, waste of money.

Super fast service and fantastically prepared food. First of all, thank you very much for the very good hospitality. Our group was a group of 50 women and the kitchen managed to get everyone to eat within a very short time. Therefore my great respect! The prices are great and the portions are respectable.

Simply a great experience. Super animal-loving, uniquely great service staff, incredibly good food and unique ambience. All in all a great restaurant visit! An absolute MUST in Würzburg
