Very nice little restaurant with delicious dishes. The service is very friendly.

The vegan duck is amazing, the whole family loved it. We sat outside and it was very squashed and uncomfortable. However, the food was more than convincing.

More like Chinese, even if you order Thai. Quality of the meat is also rather mediocre. The typical glutamate bomber. Music has some charts, so it's also rather unusual.

Great little restaurant with fantastic food. It is located in the middle of Bochum's party mile, which means it can only be reached on foot and you should reserve in advance. But the food is great! Highly recommended

My regular shop for a long time. I've eaten there with numerous friends and family and have always been happy. Very tasty food at fair prices. As a vegetarian, I get my money's worth here. The vegan sushi platters are super tasty, V7 and V8 can only be recommended, as is the crunchy roll if you order it separately. The tofu dishes with peanut sauce and curry are also highly recommended. My friend always takes the duck with hoi sin sauce or the S8 menu. He also thinks the wonton skewers are great. In the x number of times I was there, I only got a dish and a drink that weren't great, which can happen - they were immediately remade. Also very nice staff :)

Uh, are these ratings serious? The sushi pieces are the size of burgers, ingredients are poor quality for the price and service is mediocre. Seriously...

In terms of price, you can't complain about the portion sizes either. However, despite the large selection, the taste of the dishes is one-sided. For example, all salads are served with the same fish sauce-based dressing.

Very bad experience. We ordered 2 homemade lemonades. The drinks arrived completely wrong and the lady was adamant that the drinks were correct until we had to prove her wrong with the menu. We were then promised 2 new drinks, which were not served. In the end we had to pay for the wrong drinks. Only after a discussion were the drinks on the house. I haven't experienced such bad hospitality in a long time. Sitting outside is unreasonable, as some of the benches practically “stick” to each other.

This restaurant is at the forefront of taste in its price segment. Both the sushi and the warm dishes were convincing. The avocados were buttery tender and the lemongrass iced tea also has to be recommended. Unfortunately there are only disposable chopsticks, but you can still get the good old plastic straws. Priceless 😉

One of the asian restaurant in the city center of Bochum. Here you can literally find Vietnamese food, Japanese, Thai and Chinese cuisine under one roof. One thing to be aware is that they only accept cash, or at least during my visit. Love this place.

Usually very suspicious about Asian restaurants that cover the cuisine of multiple different countries, however, Wok n Roll is excellent. The Vietnamese food in particular was top tier. It’s fresh, clean and vibrant and most importantly very tasty. Would really recommend this place.

It looks quite inconspicuous from the outside, but appearances can be deceiving. The food was absolutely top notch and the price-performance ratio was great.

Tasty Asian food for affordable price...

Was there because of the good reviews and was unfortunately quite disappointed. The vegetables were almost raw and the mushrooms were canned and not fresh. The meat and rice were ok. The staff was nice. The furniture didn't seem particularly high quality.

We've been enjoying eating well here for years. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is very good - the food is always delicious, the service is friendly and the ambience is harmonious. Of course there are restaurants with a higher quality ambience and more service - at the appropriate price, but if you just want to have a good, quick and cheap Asian meal, this is the place for you. It's always full, so it's best to make a reservation. We will definitely come back and are grateful for the “delicious evenings” we were able to spend here.

A very small but cozy restaurant, if the shop is full the service sometimes takes a while, but the staff is always very friendly, but the food is definitely worth the short waiting time!! There is a large selection of different Asian dishes (also with many vegan options). If you want to eat there in the evening you should definitely reserve a table in advance.

Despite the large selection of dishes from different nations, the dishes on offer and especially the sushi are really impressive. The latter is on a Japanese level. Vegetarians will also be very happy thanks to the large selection of vegetarian dishes at Wok 'n Roll.

We were first asked whether we would pay by card or cash! When we said card, everyone's face grimaced. The card was written down and no drink order was taken. The cola was warm and tasted stale! The shandy tasted musty. The starter soup contained three prawns and mostly champions and a bit of chicken, probably from my partner's soup. The waitress didn't even know exactly what she was serving! "Yes, it looks like shrimp!" The main course was bland and the beef was fried tough and the vegetables were almost raw! Service was subpar, no bon appetit, no one liked it or anything! The Ladenburg is only half full. Can't understand the bets here. The first and last time here for us!

Very high quality sushi 🍣, the sushi rice is perfect, and the quality of the fish is super fresh and delicious 😋. The ratio of rice to fish in the rolls is also very good, a lot of fish not so much rice. I have visited many sushi restaurants and have to give this one a real 9/10 on my personal scale 😍. Almost impossible to top. We only tried the sushi and a few appetizers, but the other dishes at the neighboring tables also looked delicious. (We'll try it out on our next visit)

We are regular customers in this establishment. It tastes very good here, we always try something new and it's perfect. The staff is pleasant and quick!

Food great, condition too, ambience could be better, very narrow and unfortunately only stools to sit on. My order was incorrectly served with fried rice, but I also received the correct side dish. However, in the end it turned out the fried rice was much better, I would order it again.

I like to eat at Wok & Roll regularly. The food is always delicious and freshly prepared. The vegetarian versions with tofu are also very tasty. The sushi offer is also really recommended. Price/performance is definitely right here. The food is prepared quickly and the service staff is young and nice. The audience mixed. There are plenty of seating options in a small space, but it's completely ok for mealtime. The small cube seats are not for me personally. That's why I always like to sit on the comfortable bench and have support on my back. There is always good modern music playing in the background. The only thing that really bothers me is the smell in the toilets. The toilets are clean and I have no idea what smells there. It's not mine. All in all very recommendable.

Very very tasty food. The udon noodles with chicken were a 10/10. The breaded chicken breast fillet that my fiancée ordered was also incredibly tasty, the breading was much better and different than that of conventional Asian restaurants as you can see in the picture. I can only recommend the restaurant to anyone who loves Asian cuisine.

The food is great. It tastes good and the portions are really big. The ambience just doesn't fit at all. There is no real theme in the restaurant. Everything is colorfully mixed. The music is similar to a radio station like 1Live. Music to match the menu would be better here. There was skiing on the TV with no sound (the radio was on). The pictures on the wall are also purely random and don't match the menu. There is also a large bar with alcoholic drinks which makes everything look more like a bar than a restaurant. You should definitely rethink the concept here. Personally, I would like to have an Asian flair when I go to an Asian restaurant. It doesn't matter to me whether it's old fashioned/traditional or new modern.

The food was very tasty, the yellow curry still had coconut milk in it and it was super tasty, it was mildly spicy 💓 We had previously asked whether EC card payment was possible and we were told yes. When I wanted to pay, they said that cash payment would be better because the device for card payments sometimes doesn't work. I just said she should try anyway because we don't have any cash with us. Put my card on the device and it worked. It's just stupid to hear something like that as a guest in 2024.

Bochum hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnten positiv verändert. Aus der grauen Bergbaustadt ist mittlerweile DAS Kulturzentrum des Ruhrgebiets geworden. Auch hat man einiges Geld in die Hand genommen um die Innenstadt interessanter zu gestalten. Lobenswert. Am Eingang des Bermuda Dreiecks - ein Szeneviertel mit geballter Gastronomie - liegt das Wok 'n Roll. Die Kundschaft ist jung, studentisch und den asiatischen Genüssen zugetan: es gibt chinesische, japanische und vietnamesische Gerichte, in der Regel frisch zubereitet und durchaus recht angenehm. Musik ist mitunter etwas laut, sodass man sich nicht ganz so tiefsinnig über Platon, Aristoteles oder Virginia Woolf unterhalten konnte. Die Bedienung funktioniert effektiv und durchaus schnell, wenngleich auch etwas unpersönlich. Das Ambiente ist farbig, mit Hockern anstelle von Stühlen und, was von größter Bedeutung ist, wenn man die Toiletten aufsucht, so sind sie sauber und es erfreut das Herz, wenn man sich erleichtert nach einem guten Mahl wieder durchaus plaisierlich fühlt. Das Geschäft ist sehr klein, sodass große Männer (big boys) mitunter wegen des Bauchumfangs such etwas beengt fühlen könnten. Aber wir sind ja alle woke, hurra! Die Preise sind hier manierlich/studentisch, in der heutigen Zeit wo es mit Deutschland bergab geht, durchaus angenehm. Alles in Allem: Das Wok n Roll ist ein guter Laden, füllt den Magen und sorgt hierdurch für eine durchaus angenehme Stimmung, die verstärkt wird durch die bislang erbaulichen Preise. Düsseldorf dagegen ist dagegen preislich deutlich höher, ist ja auch die Landeshauptstadt, hüstel.

Wir haben das Essen als unterdurchschnittlich empfunden und können die sehr guten Bewertungen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Man kann alles essen, aber es ist nichts besonderes, die Erwartungen waren aufgrund der Bewertungen deutlich höher und ich habe optisch, geschmacklich und von der Menge her schon deutlich besser chinesisch gegessen. Zumal Ente und Hühnchen mit gebraten Nudeln ja ein Standardgericht ist, bei dem man eigentlich nicht viel falsch machen kann. Schade!

Eigentlich bin ich super zufrieden mit Wok' n Roll, allerdings sind hier die Tofugerichte z.T. teurer als manche Fleischgerichte, was einfach keinen Sinn macht. Sehr schade!

Leckeres Essen, vor allem die Suppen waren so schmackhaft wie wir das aus dem Urlaub kennen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Ana yemek olarak karidesli noodle ve soslu ördek tercih ettik. Mükemmeldi yerken çok keyif aldık. Asahi birası ve suyun tadı çok güzeldi. Mekan çok gürültülü ve havasız tek eksi yanı bunlardı. Servis daha hızlı olabilirdi.

man hat uns vor ort (nicht sehr freundlich) gesagt, dass die reservierung trotz bestätigungsmail nicht durchgegangen wäre und wir somit keinen tisch bekommen könnten. wir dürften draußen bei den 4° im regen platz nehmen. man wollte sich nicht einmal die bestätigung ansehen, wir wurden abgewimmelt.

Wok n Roll ist eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants. Als vegan lebende Person findet man hier eine ganz tolle eigene Karte, wobei ich sowieso immer nur die vegane Ente und einen Wakame Salat bestelle. Aber habe gehört, dass auch die anderen Sachen gut sein sollen 😁
