Asia Paradise in Bochum

The Chinese man at the entrance is a complete idiot. I've been going there for five years. Even though he had free tables, he wanted me to sit with the kids in a secluded spot, away from the other guests in the restaurant. Only he knows him. I politely asked him to sit at another table. There were plenty of free tables, and I had a reservation. He said we should just sit there if I didn't want to leave the village. I took my kids and left.

We ate there yesterday for the first and last time. The taste was a disaster. The spring rolls were still frozen in the middle, the asparagus was only half peeled, the rice was far from fried, and gelatin cake isn't really my thing either... Visually, the selection is very appealing, but looks aren't everything. We definitely won't be returning, and we can't recommend this Asian paradise to anyone. I'd rather pay extra for the drinks, but the food was good.

The meat isn't cooked well (poultry). The staff's friendliness leaves a lot to be desired. Won't be back.

The food there is incredibly varied and delicious. The flat-rate drinks package is highly recommended, especially in summer. The service is mediocre. The atmosphere is rather poor: extremely loud and hectic. Hordes of children run and scream around. It also desperately needs better ventilation in summer so you don't sweat like crazy while eating. Based on the food alone, the restaurant is absolutely recommended—but only during the week and not on weekends due to the crowds.

TO GOOD TO GO Review: We've picked up To Good to Go portions from Asia Paradise several times in the evening for €5. It's like a surprise box with many different delicacies. The boxes are always well-filled and delicious. Pickup times are always arranged on time.

*Unfortunately disappointing – poor service* I went to the dinner buffet today. The food was okay, but the *service was a disaster*. During my entire stay, the table wasn't cleared once. When I tried to change money to use the ATM, the change was refused – very *child-unfriendly*. Furthermore, as a customer, I had to walk 20 meters to the cash register just to get my receipt myself. Overall, *not a hospitable experience* – that's not how I expect service. I won't be back.

Those who like to get into the hustle and bustle can certainly get their fill there

Saturday evening and a spontaneous idea: let's try the Asia Paradise! The buffet is clean, tidy, and plentiful. All the dishes were hot or well-chilled, fresh, and delicious. 5 stars so far! The ambiance is like a train station concourse during rush hour, and the noise is simply unbearable. Masses of children running around (restaurant or playground?) without any parents or staff intervening, and adults who were still getting a bit louder due to the terrible noise level. The service was fast and friendly. So, if you appreciate good food in a noisy train station environment, this is the place for you! People who prefer a sophisticated and quiet atmosphere on a pleasant evening are definitely in the wrong place! You can visit the restaurant for the food, but don't forget earplugs, and loud crowds shouldn't bother you either, nor should running toddlers.

This means that the culinary fat reaches the hungry consumer even faster. Classic Chinese buffet meets Mongolian grill - here mass processing is perfected and implemented with impressive efficiency. There's even a little extra for attentive guests: To the left of the toilets you'll find the owner's children's legendary "homework table" - a sure sign of a really good Asian!

I used to enjoy going to this restaurant often. Unfortunately, the quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere have declined significantly. Meat is sometimes not cooked through properly, is tough and usually not cooked through. There was a feeling of time pressure when eating. The greeting was cold and dismissive. More like you weren't welcome. Although there weren't many people there, the atmosphere was relatively loud and unbearable. Unfortunately, the service and ambience are no longer right for the price.

I can't understand the negative comments. The food is extremely tasty, large selection of dishes and desserts. We were there on Easter Monday - of course it was full and therefore loud, but you have to expect that when you go to such a big restaurant. The staff was stressed but still friendly.

High noise level, not a comfortable atmosphere for eating. Unfortunately the quality of the food is only moderate. Reasonable price-performance ratio, but for the money I'd rather go somewhere else next time.

If several people meet, everyone is forced to take the same thing (either every buffet with or without a flat rate for drinks). If individuals in the group wanted a single dish, this was not possible because the others were not allowed to book a flat rate. When asked for an explanation, they simply point out “that this is an order from the boss.” The staff seemed to not care at all about finding a solution for this. End of story: not everyone could eat because individuals were not allowed to order what they wanted. That was our first and last time here. Definitely NOT a recommendation.

Impudence! Customers unwanted? Then you've done it! This store is a complete disgrace! We've been regulars for years, but after today we'll never set foot in here again. Despite having a reservation for 5:30 p.m., we were treated like annoying guests and asked to leave after 2.5 hours. On the menu there is only a time limit for the drinks flat rate, but nothing for the table - but we were still fobbed off unkindly. Disrespectful, arrogant and absolutely customer-unfriendly! Anyone who treats paying guests like this has seen our last cent. Never again! This is not a restaurant! I should have done that in the old company. The food is 👍🏼 and a huge compliment to the chefs, hence three stars 🌟.

We've been going here for years and unfortunately the service gets worse every time. You feel like you're in an XXL canteen where you have to eat quickly and leave quickly. We always eat on site and at the end we ask for a box to fill for €10 (for home/other person). We were offered this two years ago and we've been doing it that way ever since. I mean, we pay extra! 10€ for it. Today we were spoken to stupidly and insulted by 3 different waiters when the box was about to be filled. I mean hello? We get the box from YOU, so it should be clear to you that it is your own offer. The fact that you then run after people in a panic and talk to them is outrageous. We hadn't even filled the box completely and the waitress said in front of everyone at the table: EVEN MORE? There was almost nothing in it, she just wanted to put rice on the other side as a side dish - and you get so stupidly insulted. Meanwhile, you turn left and right and see on almost every other table that so much on the plates is thrown into the trash... that is tolerated. But if you get a box for 10€!!!! If you want to fill it (which is your right when you pay so much), it is not allowed…. I should have actually divided the contents of the box onto our plates and said “the plates can be cleared away”… then it probably wouldn’t have mattered. It's funny that such boxes are offered at TooGoodToGo in the restaurant at 10 p.m. (some of the boxes don't even close anymore, they're so full) for just under €4-5 - there's always a side dish like rice or pasta and meat/chicken. End of story: the box wasn't even filled to 70%, you had to be stupid! Listen to sayings from the STAFF (who offer this themselves ;)) and then you're not even allowed to fill the box until the end. I could have burned the €10 and the result would have been the same. With 10€ you can find a decent lunch deal... For us, Asia paradise is over for now, the staff is stressed (I'm sorry for them of course), but you can't and shouldn't do that to the customers! Omit. Quality is good but most of it is gone within 2-3 minutes & then you have to wait forever. Don't offer customers to fill a box for home for €10 if 1. your staff doesn't know and then the customer!! Above all, it's stupid (I pay extra for it? It's not a box from home?! Where are we here) and 2. you can't even fill the box up to the end. I could have just put some in a napkin and the amount would have been the same. Of course we didn't feel like having a discussion, we said nothing and paid and that was fine. But after 7-8 years - in which we always brought lots of new guests - it's a good thing at some point. The main thing is that there are 3 securities at the entrance who make sure you pay. Everything here is very paranoid. 63€ for two buffets, 2 drinks and a “box” for 10€... but it won't have a single consequence either way. Attention: Some reviews are blocked and deleted via Google. I've seen this in several people now. MINE! Rating is not yet affected by this

Staff was friendly and tried hard. The atmosphere has the charm of a train station hall. Unfortunately, many people forget their manners at the buffet.

If you want to spend an evening in good company and enjoy Asian cuisine, this is the right place for you. A large buffet is prepared and there should be something for every taste. You can also put together raw ingredients and have them prepared.

The best place for dinner, everyone will find something for themselves here. I only tried the options from the buffet and ate more than my fill, plus delicious desserts. It's hard for me to name what you can't eat there👍.

We used to eat there often for a long time. We recently started another 2-3 attempts. But somehow the quality and condition there has deteriorated so much that you won't be able to eat there anymore. You now pay €20-22 per person for an All You Can Eat at lunchtime with a drink. Price and performance here is definitely too high.

Been going there for many years. Not anymore from today. You are urged to leave immediately after the 2 hour happy hour. Drinks are simply cleared away and you're not even allowed to drink in peace, even though there were probably 40 tables free. That was all better. Overall it's a nice atmosphere, but avoid eating there on weekends if you can because the bowls are often empty and it's generally terribly loud. However, because the food really didn't taste delicious, we won't be returning from now on.

Nice large Chinese restaurant, nice and bright and not overly colorful and kitschy. The buffet is very generous with a diverse selection of dishes. The dishes are freshly prepared and are always refilled. Nice sushi selection, large selection of fresh dishes prepared directly in the kitchen. The restaurant is really big and so is the buffet selection. There is the classic buffet of ready-made dishes and also a Mongolian buffet with fresh, raw fish and meat, which is then fried. To do this, you put together a plate and place it, with the corresponding clip with the table number, at the frying point with the chefs. As soon as the food is ready, it is brought to the table. The special thing here is that it is driven to the table by a robot. I personally find it very entertaining. However, this severely limits human service. The food itself is delicious. You can also try something unusual here like frog legs, zebra and kangaroo. I really recommend the frog legs. And the prawns in chili sauce are great too. Otherwise, I haven't eaten anything that didn't taste good. The restaurant is very clean. Unfortunately, due to its size and design, it is really loud and has a noise like that of a canteen. If you don't mind that, you'll have a lot of fun trying things out and eating here. Attention!: The entrance/exit to the restaurant is directly on a separate main road exit. We were there for the first time and we were thrilled. Large selection of cold and warm, savory and sweet dishes - there are also many great dishes for vegetarians. Asia Paradise, I will be happy if you close this store. It's really terrible, if you don't believe me, go and try out the store, but if you believe me, around the corner is Feng Hua, about two and a half kilometers there, it's really a great twelve out of ten, but here in the Asian paradise it's a complete waste of money, if not Bodily injury with the food they serve. Service really terrible food with no quality if you can still call it food, it's more like crap.

We wanted to spend a nice evening with delicious food in the Asian paradise. The food was good as usual, but we were asked rather disrespectfully to make room for other guests within five minutes. This was the last time we were here and we won't be coming back after about 20 visits.
