Wirtshäusle am Turm in Schwäbisch Gmünd

I was here 2 weeks ago and unfortunately I only got around to the review now. It was a really very pleasant stay and, in addition to the delicious tower plate, I also remember the attentive and friendly service. I was really very pleasant here. Thank you

Went for dinner in the evening after the holiday. Had lentils and spaetzle.....you can only say in Swabian "legger wia dahoim"😋😋😋😋😋

nice beer garden, good beer and Swabian cuisine. Lomba sausage salad is a no-go for me, either ham sausage or Lyoner but no liver cheese and black sausage in strips and fresh farmer's bread would also be appropriate. Side salad too small for the price.

A small selection but recommended. The schnitzel and homemade spaetzle with sauce and vegetables in pancake pockets were very tasty. The service was super friendly and we will definitely be back soon

The best German food in all of Schwäbisch Gmünd!

The food is home-style from Swabian cuisine. The portions are good, as are the prices. There is a great outdoor restaurant in a beer garden and at the Five Button Tower, there with a view of the city garden. Unfortunately there is no non-smoking area outside. The staff themselves invite you to smoke or stand in the dining area, next to the entrance door, and thus force the harmful and carcinogenic (and therefore fatal) smoke on the guests. So unfortunately not a recommendation if you like to sit outside or if you just arrive when the staff is smoking at the door and you then have to go through the smoke to get in.

Beautiful inn with friendly and courteous service and a nice ambience. Was our first and good choice.

We ate Maultaschen and schnitzel. Both were very good. The staff was friendly, fast and flexible. Despite the weather not being ideal, we were allowed to eat outside. I would come here again.

Old-established bistro/tavern/restaurant in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Here you can find classic Swabian dishes on the menu and experience traditional Swabian flair. The guest room was obviously renovated not long ago. Everything was very bright, pretty and clean. There are plenty of comfortable seating options in the outdoor area, which invite you to linger, especially in sunny weather. I can't write anything about the hot dishes because I always come here to eat for the snack dishes. The sausage salads taste excellent and, in my opinion, are currently the best in Gmünder city center. The portions are large enough and nicely presented. The staff is very friendly and always takes great care of their guests. The selection of drinks and food (regional, Swabian cuisine) is very good and varied. The prices are fair and reasonable. I absolutely recommend it.

The portions were very small and the schnitzel was inedible. The meat from the schnitzel was sour. We mentioned it to the waitress but she just replied that it couldn't be. An apology would be the least.

We spontaneously ate at the Wirtshäusle am Turm. We sat outside at the tower. It was a beautiful sunny day today. The service was very friendly and we were recommended the Turmteller menu (I think that's what it was called 😅). It included 2 different dumplings and roast pork and 1 Maultaschen with potato salad. We also drank 2 juice spritzers. It tasted sensational. Price/performance ratio was right. We'd love to come back!

We were there for the first time. Our daughter invited us and also chose the restaurant. We are excited. Food great. Hospitality was super nice. Ambience great. Definitely coming back, thanks for the lovely evening 🫶

Top pub. The food was incredibly good and what stood out for us was the hospitality. Not only us but also our dog was looked after with water, treats and cuddles...we will definitely be back. The owner/chef and the service were so friendly, something you rarely experience.

The former bistro was only renamed because it was not expected that the name would also serve large dishes. The owner is just great! Cooks great food, creates beautiful desserts, is so friendly, understandable and always has a nice and funny word to say. Definitely worth recommending!

The interior is clean and bright. All tables were neatly set. All in all, quite appealing. We ate a very banal schnitzel with fries for €15.90. The schnitzels were very tasty and quite thick. What we found unfortunate was that there was nothing going on for a Saturday evening. We were the only guests. I always feel sorry for the innkeepers, who put in a lot of effort and of course have to keep the food on hand. Therefore my recommendation: go there 🤘👍

We enjoyed really good Swabian cuisine there: Irene's Maultaschen and Irene's lentils and spaetzle with strings. Beautiful garden and friendly service. We also like the new concept/offer. Beef roulade or sauerbraten will definitely be served soon if you're hungry. The prices are fair.

Super Location, top Service, Essen Klasse

Das Rahmschnitzel und die Schinkennudeln, welche als Mittagsangebot auf der Karte standen, waren durchschnittlich gut. Die Spätzla sind bestimmt nicht selbst gemacht gewesen und das "Schnitzel" war nicht all zu groß. Für ca. 10 Euro ist das Mittagsessen ok. Der Außenbereich ist schön

Wir waren Samstag am späten Nachmittag dort. Die aussen angebrachte Karte war etwas "lummelig" angebracht. Aber wir gingen hinein und ich muss sagen, Respekt. Neu renoviert und mit Stil und Niveau gestaltet. Die Wirtsleute sind sehr aufmerksam und nett. Das Essen, Maultaschen und Flammkuchen, waren ausgesprochen lecker und sehr schön angerichtet. Absolut empfehlenswert dieses kleine Wirtshaus. Die hier eingestellten Bilder sind echt und zeigen den schönen Gastraum. Wir wünschen weiterhin viel Erfolg mit dem neuen Konzept.

Wirtshäusle oder Bistro... alles beim alten

Das Wirtshäusle wurde komplett renoviert. Sehr modern und dazu gemütlich. Abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte auf der jeder etwas findet - vom Vesper bis zum Rostbraten. Spätzle Maultaschen und Brot sind hier selbstgemacht. Super nette Servicekräfte!

Essen und Service kann ich nicht beurteilen. Es war Fasching.

Leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen. Der Wirt ist sehr nett und erklärt einem als Touristen auch gern, wenn man sich unter dem Namen des Gerichtes nichts vorstellen kann. Die Tische sind sauber, die Bedienung sehr nett.

Gut, dass es den Aussenausschank mit überdachtem Biergarten gibt. Eine Anlaufstelle als Weihnachtsmarktersatz. Gut, dass die aktuellen Vorschriften strikt umgesetzt werden. Das gibt mir ein gewisses Gefühl von Sicherheit und wenigstens die Chance auf möglichst langen Betrieb.
