A cozy get-together with friends, preferably in a small beer garden. Nice service, very good food and Cluss beer. The service is amazing, always prompt and friendly! Paying with an EC card has also been possible for some time. Everything is still fine. October 30, 2024: Change of ownership - but so far everything is as good as ever.

Während eines Städtetrips waren wir zweimal in diesem feinen, kleinen Lokal. Die Menüs sind hervorragend, mit guter Qualität und freundlichem Service. Auch die Kinder waren begeistert – es gab für jeden etwas Passendes auf der Karte.

Classic pub/restaurant in Stuttgart with down-to-earth food and drinks. The “Hotz” is a real institution in the region and very popular with local residents. Payment can be made in cash or by card.

Very good local food served in large portions. Only the fries are very salty, so I recommend taking unsalted ones :)

We were looking forward to Swabian cuisine and were unfortunately disappointed. Spaetzle and sauce were definitely finished products and the meat was not freshly prepared and only warmed up. It was edible but I don't want to spend money on this quality. The service was friendly but not very attentive and was more engrossed in private conversations. All in all, not a successful visit.

Service was very friendly and attentive, but the food was terrible. I have rarely seen so many frozen/convenience products at one meal. - Salad tastes like it was dropped into a bouillon cube for potato salad, something must be wrong - The "Gyros" is not from the skewer but goes into the pan as indefinable pieces of meat, marinated - Tzatziki tastes almost like nothing and the olives that came with it were definitely no longer edible (mushy and tasted like cheese) - With the pork fillet you have to feel sorry for the pig, the meat was a completely dead fried shoe sole (fillet again!) and when you cut it it was gray on the inside and very definitely a frozen product in terms of consistency - The cheese spaetzle under the pig was colored red?! and the cream sauce tasted old and was actually burned into the pan and absorbed, as if the food had not been freshly made but had been sitting in the passport for a longer time. Here even the spaetzle is not homemade but also purchased. All in all, a feast of poorly overcooked finished products, no love for the product and the chef must really hate his job to deliver a meal like this. Everyone can do this better at home and at a significantly better price-performance ratio. Unfortunately that wasn't the case today and we will definitely never come back

Tasty and cheaper than other restaurants in Stuttgart. Service was nice, food was great and the atmosphere was good. Parking spaces available right in front of the door, not a given in Stuttgart. Taycan can be charged at the door

The Hotzenplotz is a place you like to go to... The food here is delicious, the staff is super friendly and passionate about it. Here, young and old sit together with Swabian specialties and enjoy the time. Keep it up

Restaurant found completely at random during our stay in Stuttgart the two young waiters are very pleasant the service is fast the dishes are delicious and really plentiful I highly recommend 👍

My husband and I had dinner there on August 20th, well the chef probably doesn't like his job, I ordered a steak with spaetzle, what I got was steak with Schupfnudeln which were cold. I told the waitress that I would like spaetzle, she took the plate and came back with the same plate. I explained the difference to her and she offered us a herbal schnapps, unbelievable. A little tip to the chef, think about your approach. Because your food isn't tasty. I'm a chef and I don't do that with any guests.

Typical German restaurant. Very characteristic. We ate guliash and the typical pan recommended by the owner. Both very good dishes. I recommend the pan for two people, very generous. Excellent dark beer. Good price. Advise. There are tables outside.

"Das Hotz" - a rustic pub in the center of Stuttgart. Story-telling is very important here: the tables, the beams, everything feels like it creaks and it is simply robust and rustic. It's a real den of robbers where you can meet up for a beer. With sacks hanging from the ceiling, a spiked helmet on the wall or a saber - everything related to the robber with the big nose. The selection of drinks is regional and simple - there is beer on tap and juices and beer on tap, the Sion Kölsch is exquisite, spirits are rather simple and you are less likely to find a robber sipping cocktails here. The target group were (former) students and pupils, not upscale but fair prices for TK. The exception here were dishes such as the robber pan or the Greek dishes. Corona has already hit/changed the Hotz - the service has decreased significantly in the meantime and the prices for food in the lower middle category have also been adjusted significantly, but not the quality or selection. That's why only three stars each - which is still solid.

Excellent German restaurant. Very friendly staff, delicious food, fair price.

The place where my children and I went very hungry and woke up very full. We wanted 1 rindersteak and 3 schnitzels. The salads and sauces served on separate plates with each meal were wonderful. It is also nice that it is open on Sunday for those coming from the road like us.

Big congratulations to the Saturday team! We wanted to celebrate a birthday, but another bar decided to close at 11:30 despite reservations. Fortunately, we were welcomed with open arms at Hotzenplotz. We've been here several times before, all in all a very welcoming pub!

Absolute cult restaurant in the west of Stuttgart. The Hotz should be under monument protection :-) Young people (pupils from schools in the neighborhood), students, working people and seniors meet here. Absolutely colorful and always worth a visit!

The German food here is extremely tasty and recommended. Prices have now been raised, but are average. The waitress took longer than usual and forgot our cutlery.

The food itself was excellent, but there was too much sauce on the spaetzli. The Käsespetzli are highly recommended. The staff is very open and friendly. The price performance is also excellent.

The perfect place to enjoy a few beers with some friends and watch football. There are different areas with different moods so everyone can find the area that suits them best. They have darts and Fussball that don't require paying , which I love! Friendly staff and good food . Recommend

I ordered a cola, but unfortunately it didn't taste good, rather after three days open and without carbon dioxide. The receipt also said Pepsi... I ordered a children's meal pita with gyros. The gyro wasn't really gyros, but some lumps of meat that were also stringy. Not very tasty. The cheese spaetzle was good, but very overpriced at 14.80 euros. Unfortunately the salad that came with it was drowned in oil. It's a shame, I was actually hoping for more.

Yesterday I went to your place for pizza in the afternoon with my son and his friends. He was celebrating his birthday and I ordered pizza for everyone. Of course I wasn't expecting Neapolitan pizza from the pizza oven. But what we ate was something I couldn't identify. I didn't complain straight away, which I later regretted. That's why I have to give this review, because with 13 people, plus drinks, I paid an amount that justifies a complaint. The "pizza" was extremely greasy, hard, dark, overall terrible. I felt very uncomfortable with the children and felt so sorry for them because they were very hungry. Otherwise, I think Hotz is funny, I think it's great that it's available for young people and I've also eaten very well. But the pizza gets a 6 minus from all of us who ate it yesterday! Decorated like a rustic pub. Large selection of dishes. Ingredients fresh and delicious. Unfortunately you have to wait a long time for your food, about 1 hour. If your stomach doesn't growl when you order and you're prepared to wait, you should definitely go.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 15 Personen reserviert. Unser pünktliches Erscheinen führte zu einem ersten Getränk ca 35 Minuten später. Die Speisekarten landeten kurz vor den Getränken am Tisch. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn um 20:30 Uhr hatten die ersten bei uns am Tisch ihr bestelltes Essen. Die Bedienung wusste zudem nicht, zu welchen Gerichten ein Beilagensalat gehörte. Gar nicht empfehlenswert waren die Grillteller - das kalte Fleisch war irgendwie einen Mehrfachpfannentod gestorben. Das zerstörte auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

The Hotzenplotz has been part of Stuttgart for decades and is an institution. The food has always been delicious and the selection is large. The mushroom sauce is very good and the recipe is not revealed no matter how many times I asked. I haven't eaten there for a while and the price development at Hotzenplotz shows the plight of the catering industry. The portions are relatively small and the prices have risen significantly. The popular Schnitzel Day and other promotions are no longer available. The staff is quite young, friendly and present without being intrusive, that's fine. The ambience is very rustic with dark wood and a dive bar charm. There is a separate smoking area, some outside seating but very little parking. Due to the increased prices it will probably be a while before I can eat there again, but Hotzenplotz is worth a visit.

My boyfriend and I loved this restaurant , it’s a bit further away from the city Centre but we came back for a second dinner regardless. My boyfriend is from the states , so he got the real taste of German cuisine. It’s plenty of food!!! I was really full so if you can’t eat a lot , consider sharing the food. Atmosphere was amazing too. A bit dark in there but that’s also just the vibe of these Restaurants. If you looking for real German cuisine , this is your place. Including drinks , two meals and perhaps a dessert you can estimate the price around 40-46€ for two people.

Wir waren für ein Firmenevent dort. Die Location kannte ich bis dato noch nicht, aber super uriges Wirtshaus mit Charme! Getrennter Raucher / nicht-Raucherbereich. Im Raucherbereich ist ein Tisch Kicker und ein Dart-Automat vorhanden. Super freundliche und junge Bedienung. Trotz der großen Gruppe wurden die Essen zeitig aufeinander an den Tisch gebracht. Gutes, einfaches Essen für ein Wirtshaus, das preis - Leistungsverhältnis bekommt ebenfalls einen Daumen nach oben. Leckere Getränke und super Atmosphäre. Ein Goldstück in Stuttgart.

Nette Kneipe, junges Personal, was einfach mal so unser bestelltes Essen vergaß...wir mussten dann nur die Getränke bezahlen...okay...Trotz sehr verspäteten Essen irgendwann...

Waren am Samstag um 18h Gast im Hotzenplotz. Wir haben einen Tisch für 2 Personen zugewiesen bekommen, mir der Aussage, dass dieser ab 19h reserviert sei ( für 5 Personen). Wir bestellten unser Essen, nur schade dass die Bestellung vergessen wurde, wir über 1 1/4 Stunden warten mussten und dann ein anderes Essen, als bestellt, bekommen haben. Dieses haben wir aber gegessen, da wir unter Zeitdruck gestanden haben. Die Getränke wurden zwar vom Haus übernommen, es ist aber schade, dass wir trotz "dieser"Entschuldigung nicht das Gefühl hatten, dass das Ganze irgendeine Konsquenz zur Folge hat.

SUPER!!!! Das Personal ist jung, dynamisch, und engagiert. Die Küche ist top, Portionen sind großzügig, und der Hauschnaps ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Wir lieben es herzukommen, wegen dem leckeren Essen, dem tollen Ambiente und weil wir wirklich immer einen wunderschönen Abend haben. Ein ganz besonderer Dank, geht an den Mitarbeiter Tim. Es ist ein Wirtshaus mit schönen Ambiente und gutem Essen. Die Nähe zur Liederhalle macht es zu einem idealen Ort für gutes reichhaltiges und preiswertes Essen. Einzig die Schrift auf der Speisekarte - urig und auf einem Holzbrett angebracht - ist etwas klein geraten.
