Great beer garden under large old trees. Quiet, located in a residential area, between the Blühendes Barock (Blooming Baroque) and the hospital. The food was delicious; I had a seasonal pinza, and my husband had a sausage salad. There's plenty of room for small children to play.

A beautiful beer garden. You can sit comfortably. Unfortunately, they're not willing to accommodate small requests regarding the food. That was okay with me, though. What wasn't okay was the quality of the food. It didn't taste particularly fresh, and the potato salad was definitely on the verge of going off. I would have liked to discuss this in person, but I really got the impression that the people in charge aren't at all interested in the guests' impressions. Speaking of which: I also find the owners' spiteful responses to some of the reviews interesting. They simply don't need it.

A very nice beer garden with plenty of shady seating, as well as a lovely interior. The service is very friendly, and the menu is delicious, with a changing menu depending on the season. The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes is excellent. A visit here is always worthwhile; highly recommended.

I regularly eat there with my family. The beer garden is right next to the castle and has several large chestnut trees that provide shade and invite you to relax. There's also a large lawn and a children's play area. Reservations are recommended for large groups; the beer garden can fill up quickly, especially in nice weather. We were always greeted warmly, even when it was busy, and seats were provided as quickly as possible. The service is very attentive, quick, and always helpful with any questions. Once again, a big thank you to the team. Please keep up the good work 👍 The food is very good, and there are seasonal menus to offer something for every season. The price/performance ratio is truly excellent. See you next time

Overall, the food was good, the service was good, and the beer garden was lovely, shaded by the trees and had a playground for children. It wasn't the first time there, and certainly won't be the last.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Ludwigsburg. Large, old trees provide cool shade and a wonderful atmosphere. The service is excellent, the food delicious, and the prices moderate. We'd happily return.

A beautiful beer garden in the city. It's right next to the thriving Barrock district. You can leave from the beer garden, but you can't get back in. The menu is modern and the food is delicious. Prices are reasonable.

We met up with our family and were shown to a private room. This was absolutely fantastic and suited us, as we could chat in peace. The room itself was also really nice. We couldn't sit in the beer garden due to the weather, or rather, we didn't want to sit (large umbrellas were provided so we wouldn't get wet), but we did use the playground, which was really great. The food was good so far. We'll definitely be back. Dogs are also allowed.

Even when the beer garden is full to the last outdoor seat, the food and drinks arrive in a reasonable time – the waiters are very attentive and friendly. And the owner himself also serves and supports his team. The prices are reasonable. The food is good with generous portions. The Badgarten is highly recommended. It's also probably the only beer garden in Ludwigsburg where guests are served and don't have to fetch their own food and drinks. We'll definitely be back!

This wasn't our first visit here, and it's actually a nice place with a good selection of food, but the service has continued to decline: After being assigned a table today, we were ignored and our hand signals were ignored. So, after 20 minutes, we got up and left without being served.

Such a cheek... We were eating at the beer garden, and the daily special was chicken schnitzel with fries for €9. So our whole group ordered the schnitzel with fries. So far, so good, it was really tasty, and then when we paid, we found out that we had been charged €17 for the pork schnitzel from the menu... But when we ordered, they didn't even ask us which one we wanted, and with the daily special, that should be obvious, right? 😡

We stopped by for lunch during our visit to the Blühendenbarock. The beer garden is beautifully situated and shady, making it a comfortable place to dine even in the heat. The service is prompt and friendly. We ordered a Sauerbraten (sauerbraten), and the portion of the roast was really large and tasty.

Today was our second visit to this beautifully situated beer garden. The first time, everything was great. Today was a complete disaster. After we complained about the Wiener Schnitzel at the end, saying it was pink on the outside and raw in the middle, we were avoided and not served again. We had to ask other waiters from a distance for more, and when they told their colleague to call in, she shouted across the table, asking what they wanted! When we were paying, the waitress also wanted to tell us her opinion about the meat and that she often eats it like that. Sorry, but as far as I know, a raw Wiener Schnitzel is never served like that anywhere. In the end, I just have to say, things like that can happen, then you apologize and that's that, but that didn't happen, and they ignored us and even made us feel like we were exaggerating. The other waiters, however, were polite at all times.

The food was good and plentiful, and even though the restaurant was very busy, it came out quickly. The restaurant is designed to serve the large beer garden, including the staff. When the weather isn't so good, it feels like every table is served by a waiter. It's probably the same in the kitchen.

When we arrived we wanted to ask for a tosch in the beer garden and had sausage. Four waitresses walked past us without noticing us and then sat us down. Then we waited 15 minutes. Nobody came. Half of the tables were free, not too busy. Left after we weren't served. Bad service.

The service was super friendly! 1st with *! The ambiance inside is very nice, and the beer garden is cozy too. The food is delicious and not run-of-the-mill, but unfortunately, it loses one star for the lack of freshness. Most (if not all) of the dishes were not freshly prepared. The food came very quickly, was only lukewarm, and the pancake was probably from the day before. But I would still go back because it was still good.

The spa garden is truly beautiful, both inside and out. A spacious beer garden with a shady children's playground and a large lawn. The greenhouses are also fantastic, where you can sit comfortably and dine in a private atmosphere. The interior is also modern but very cozy. If you are looking for a cozy restaurant in Ludwigsburg that impresses both in terms of cuisine and atmosphere, you should definitely pay a visit to “Zum Badgarten”. The ambience is reminiscent of a modern, Alpine parlor: simple wooden furniture combined with fur on the chairs creates a warm, rustic flair. Despite the rather purist furnishings, you immediately feel comfortable and in good hands here. In my case, the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The staff seemed attentive without being intrusive - a quality you would want in any restaurant. Before we started with the main courses, there was of course a little greeting from the kitchen. That alone made you want more and gave you a taste of the quality that awaits you. For the main course we had the choice between onion roast, a fillet pothole or much more - and the first dishes mentioned were an absolute highlight. The spaetzle that came with it was homemade and had the perfect consistency: pleasantly al dente and not too dry. The sauce was also wonderfully balanced and spicy - a real culinary delight that doesn't always score well, even in many home-style kitchens. The salad as a side dish was fresh, dressed with a balanced vinaigrette, and rounded off the overall picture harmoniously. From a nutritional perspective, such dishes are of course quite hearty, which fits with the somewhat Alpine flair. Thanks to the high quality of the ingredients and the fresh preparation, it doesn't feel heavy. This shows that “Zum Badgarten” not only pays attention to taste, but also to the correct preparation. Overall, it can be said that “Zum Badgarten” is a real feel-good restaurant in which tradition and modernity go hand in hand. The quality of the food, the pleasant atmosphere and the attentive service leave nothing to be desired. So I can only recommend that you take a look yourself – I will definitely come back and bring my friends with me.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. Waiting time for food was about 10-15 minutes - even though it was busy.

A very beautiful, idyllic setting with space for children to play and a beautiful quiet natural environment. The best tarte flambée we have eaten, we would love to come back.

Schönes Ambiente, aber leider kommt das Essen von der Stange. ich hatte die Knödel-Trilogie mit Waldpilzsauce. Das Gericht hat ca. 4 halbe Champignons enthalten. Die Sauce war eine ungewürzte Mehlpampe. Für den Preis ist das absolut unterirdisch. Positiv ist der aufmerksame Service!

I can only speak or write for myself. We were 30 people and registered. So far so good. Everything worked out wonderfully. The food came quickly, as did the drinks. The server was very friendly and quick. Unfortunately, my food and a few other dishes were pretty lousy. The gravy for onion roast was from the "bag" or at least extended with ready-made products. My salad "Large salad platter of the season" was just green fodder of lousy quality with 1 quarter of tomato, 1 slice of girth and a few snippets of carrot. The schnitzels were very greasy and the breading wore off quite quickly. The "pizza bread" was a piece of older pizza warmed up in the microwave. We had to order the cheese spaetzle 3 times for a lady at the table before they finally came. All in all, I wouldn't go there again. It's not my case. And why I didn't say anything on site. ??!! It was simply packed and everyone had enough to do.

On September 2nd, 2024, after a visit to BLÜBA, we visited the Badgarten guesthouse again after several years. The experience was sobering; the schnitzel I was served was a complete disgrace. The breading was greasy and had no taste and didn't stick to the meat; when I cut it, it simply slid away. My wife's food, of the same quality, the meat cake was lukewarm and tasted like feet that had fallen asleep, hard to enjoy! For such an imposition, plus two drinks, you're asking for more than €40. Conclusion: definitely not again and not recommended!

Beautiful location, the food is difficult: sometimes very tasty, sometimes not at all. A good example is Pinsa and three kinds of dumplings. The bowls are dry, the pizza bread is dry and, contrary to the menu, not freshly baked. The prices are not beer garden prices and are too high for the quality offered, but the great location makes that possible.

On our last visit in mid-August evening, all tables were occupied; Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait longer than ten minutes for food. Parking options are rather scarce.

Trotz Hitze und proppenvollem Biergarten kamen Essen und Trinken, sowie die weiteren Bestellungen recht schnell auf den Tisch. Für eine Biergarten dieser Größe wirklich beachtlich. Dazu leckeres Essen, alles schön frisch. Obwohl brutale Hitze und Hochbetrieb am Abend herrschten, waren die Bedienungen ausgesprochen freundlich, umsichtig und locker drauf. Hier nochmals der Dank insbesondere "unserem" Kellner Fesi.

Waiter extremely rude and aggressive. We were very rudely offered two seats at a table that was already occupied, which we declined. Another waiter couldn't improve the situation with a simple "what's wrong?" Customer friendliness = 0 Only if you don't want to be seated directly next to people. A second waiter came over and also said “what is it” with a tone that doesn’t work at all!

Staff rude and arrogant. Beer was spilled on clothing by service staff, no replacement drink was offered and when asked only excuses were given. The situation was simply laughed at. Very unprofessional behavior.

Four of us were there today for dinner and drinks. We were served by Fisi and I am so thrilled! He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Even though it was relatively busy when we arrived, he was completely relaxed and had all his guests in view. We didn't have to wait long for anything and were asked for a refill as soon as the glass was empty. Recommendations were made, alternatives were offered and requests were addressed. I felt really welcome as a guest! I also noticed his colleague Susi as very accommodating! Charming and authentic! It's just fun to be a guest of such restaurateurs! Actually a good beer garden with a nice ambience, good service and good food. But after today's promotion I unfortunately have to reduce it from 4 to 1 star. What happened? We arrived at the beer garden at 11 a.m. and the gate to the beer garden was open, as was the sign “we are open” at the gate. So we sat down on one of the benches hoping to have a coffee. After 10 minutes the boss “probably” came and said that we would have to wait until 11:30 or we could go for a walk again. (No problem so far). So we stayed seated and wanted to wait for the time. After 5 minutes the “boss” came back and was loud. “Do I have to tell them again to leave?” - in a tone that made my emotions correspondingly tense. As a customer, I definitely won't let anyone talk to me like that. He couldn't have said that in an incredibly rude and, above all, more misleading way. But basically throwing us out was the last thing. So for everyone: it's better not to go to this beer garden shortly before it opens....for me this beer garden is dead. It really doesn't work at all. But the employees are nice and the rest is fine...just a very bitter aftertaste for me. I wouldn't wish my employees to have a boss like that... (assuming he was the boss in the first place 🤷🏻‍♂️)

The service was friendly and the drinks and food orders came very quickly after ordering. I assume that a lot of preparation may be necessary here due to the masses of people. We ordered burrata. There was also pizza bread which was probably warmed up in the microwave. The arugula also had thicker stems in it. The actual burrata was dry inside. The pomegranate pearls were hidden on the plate and not enough. I'm not demanding that I be offered quantities for the price, but I think it should be fresh. Of course you could say: “Who is so stupid as to eat an Italian salad in a beer garden!?” But anyone who offers something like that has to deliver. The highlight was the boss: At the next table there was a person sitting at a table of 5. When the boss saw this, he just said to the person: “Do you still have people coming in? You can't sit alone at the table of 5." Even though there were still many tables available. And if I'm being completely honest, they don't have single tables outside. Conclusion: Clear to drink, yes 👍🏼 Everyone has to decide what to eat for themselves.

Price/performance goes like that, but that's the case almost everywhere now. But the atmosphere of the beer garden is very nice.

The space in the back of the Baroque Palace in Ludwigsburg is great. I can rate everything with a top experience. The only BUT is that out of nowhere you can only pay with money (curiously, there has recently been an ATM cash machine near the restaurant)

Unfortunately, card payments are no longer possible. Alternatively, there is an ATM next door. Atmosphere great as always.

I've been living here in Ludwigsburg for almost 7 years now, only about 500 m as the crow flies from this wonderful beer garden and unfortunately I'm only here for the first time today. What great service - what a location with these wonderful old chestnut trees. The service is outstanding across the board - it's great that something like this still exists today!! This will be our new regular spot in LuBu in the future - thank you very much for this wonderful evening and we will be happy to come back 🥰

The beer garden is perfect for families with small children. There is a large lawn with a slide and sandpit right next to where the parents sit. There are plenty of high chairs, a children's menu and the beer garden is clear and well fenced. There is even a changing table. The large trees provide pleasant shade, the food tastes great and the team is attentive, friendly and fast. It's quiet, there are always parking spaces and every now and then you can see the helicopter take off and land, much to the children's delight. What more could you want ❤️
