Essen leider wirklich unterirdisch. Ente total trocken und Soße ohne Geschmack.

Wir waren zu Dritt abends im Heuport und zwei von uns waren vom Essen sehr enttäuscht. Wir hatten beide von der Tageesganz die halbe Ente bestellt, die nach einer längeren Wartezeit serviert wurde. Bereits beim ersten Augenschein wirkte sie trocken, und so war es leider auch. Tatsächlich bekamen wir mit viel Herumsäbeln ein wenig Fleisch herunter, tatsächlich war es nicht möglich alles abzulösen und auch die Haut war nicht knusprig sondern hatte eher Schuhsohlen-Charakter. Die Ente mag mittags frisch und knusprig gewesen sein, abends hat man sie dann wohl nur kurz in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt. Dazu gab es einen Knödel und einen Klecks Blaukraut in einem See aus Sauce, angerichtet war es auch nicht schön. Leider war auch das Dessert, das ich bestellte, weil mich die missglückte Ente nicht gesättigt hatte, eine Enttäuschung. Eine dünne, kalte Vanillesauce in der ein Klecks einer Art Zimtmousse lag - das Dessert füllte den Magen, aber es war nicht gut. Zumindest eine von uns Dreien war jedoch mit ihrem Essen zufrieden. Ansonsten waren die Räumlichkeiten, der Blick auf den Dom, so schön wie immer und entschädigte für vieles. Allerdings mussten wir auch immer lange Wartezeiten für die Essensgänge und die Getränke in Kauf nehmen - Personalmangel? Ich denke, da ist noch viel Luft für Verbesserung.

Actually a wonderful restaurant to enjoy, but a lot has changed in the last few years. The service was bad. We were placed and then forgotten. Unfortunately, the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The schnitzel was a convenience product (you don't have to go out to eat for it) and the onion roast was not an onion roast. The sauce from the roast pork and the stewed onions don't taste good. In addition, the mayonnaise with the fries was no longer good. Sorry, but charging almost 32 euros for this is cheeky. I was here last time and unfortunately I can only advise against it, it doesn't help a lot of guests.

This is the perfect restaurant for a delicious Bavarian dinner.

The most Bavarian meal of all dishes - roast pork with potato dumplings - was a culinary disaster - the dumplings were rock hard and ice cold inside - a disaster - never, ever again - even the beautiful view of the cathedral couldn't make up for it. Even the staff - the waitress couldn't even put on a clean blouse - it was all very sad

Unfassbar toller Service! Der Wirtshausschmaus war auch sehr lecker, für zwei Personen allerdings extremst viel. Wir hatten bei der hälfte der Hauptspeise aufgegeben, haben aber den Rest eingepackt bekommen und sogar auch noch Nachspeise mitbekommen. Hier ist für wirklichen jeden was dabei! Das Ambiente ist hier auch sehr schön! (PS. hier gabs m.M.n die Weltbesten rouladen!)

Despite the great demand on Saturday lunchtime, we got 2 seats with a beautiful view of the church without a reservation. I have eaten such a delicious knuckle in a long time! A dream! Nice, fast, humorous service! Thank you and I would be happy to come again if you ever come to Regensburg!

Beware of the tourist trap!! Incredible location directly opposite the cathedral and beautiful interior design. Unfortunately, the historical / Bavarian charm does not exist in the food and certainly not in the service. The ladies in service were busy chatting exclusively with each other, taking selfies and drinking cocktails. Our question as to whether we could please order was met with an eye roll. Later the ladies hugged each other and swayed together - by the way, it was 12 noon. It would probably be good for the restaurant to hire service staff who are older than 20 years old and have at least minimal experience in what is important... The "Wienerschnitzel" came from pork, was about 1cm thick (not pounded), looked like it came from the freezer and came with fries, ketchup and mayo. Typically rustic Bavarian 🫣 The menu is otherwise quite small, but the rest of the food was quite ok. No big culinary surprises...

We were there for a “tavern feast” on a Sunday evening. It was very, very tasty and, above all, a lot! (Almost too much, but we were allowed to take everything we didn't manage with us, which was very nice!) The service was great & the atmosphere was really nice! Can only recommend☺️

We waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food, then the starters and main courses came at the same time... one dish, the gnocchi, came completely over salted and was not edible... so we waited another 25 minutes... The temporary waitress was very nice, but we felt really sorry for working in such a disorganized restaurant. If there is a shortage of staff in the kitchen, I cannot present a huge menu. Typically a restaurant where there is no owner in the shop...that's how you scare away guests...our recommendation: Restaurant "Dicker Mann"....

Great restaurant with very nice service. Everything was perfect here. We received a very friendly welcome and even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were able to get a table despite the crowd. The drinks and food were served quickly and everything was very tasty. A great atmosphere.

Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung. Leider waren 2 priorisierte Gerichte aus. Von einem wussten wir erst kurz vorm auftischen... Schade. Lecker war es trotzdem.

We ate there in August, on a Sunday. I had to insistently ask for my dish, which did not arrive, with the consequent loss of time and anger for it. With dessert, the same thing happened. We were in the interior patio, it was hot outside and very nice inside. If it weren't for that inattention, the place is very nice, it is very located, the food was good, I would have given it a higher score. Let's improve!

Great historic house with quick cuisine

Were there at the time. Unfortunately we had to wait 30 minutes for someone to take our order. Finally giving up, it took about another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. The food still took about 40 minutes to arrive. I gave the food 4 stars because it was good, but nothing special. With the second drinks we ordered during the meal, the above-average waiting time was repeated again. I understand that it may take "a little" longer because there was a wedding party there at the same time, but all of these waiting times together were still very abysmal. I felt a bit neglected by the service. In total we were there for about 2.5 hours and that was for food and 2 drinks each. Unfortunately not a nice evening.

Everything except food was good. The meat was very tough (roast beef and veal), roast pork was okay... Kaiserschmarren had 2x raisins per portion and the prices do not correspond to the quality of the food! Unfortunately. There were 12 of us there... We'll go eat somewhere else. Drinks are fine.

We were looking for authentic schnitzel and found it! The pork schnitzel was delicious!! The beer and German wine selection was good.

We loved the food and enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The service was slow but pleasant. We were not in a hurry, so it didn’t matter too much. We would recommend this restaurant for authentic German meal.

The atmosphere is quite nice. The service is just subpar at best. We waited 15 minutes before we could even order. When the food arrived, we had no cutlery for 5 minutes - the food was no longer warm. The taste of the food was ok, but only small quantities for a lot of money.

An unbelievable space, arrived via historic outdoor wooden steps, to an unbeatable hall. Relatively respectfully updated with a contemporary youthful design. Highlight was absolutely the fun, loving and chill staff. I can highly recommend stopping in.

The beer garden on the square and in the inner courtyard was very full and we wanted to check out the tavern on the first floor in the evening. Very well made dining rooms and a very nice service person showed us everything in a friendly manner and offered to eat upstairs. Since we were all alone here and shielded from the noise below, we decided to eat early. Traditionally we ordered knuckles, dumplings and cabbage and drank freshly tapped beer. The food was plentiful, delicious and the service was extremely attentive and friendly. It was a royal meal! Thank you🫶Absolute recommendation.

We discovered this restaurant by chance late on Mutday and "just wanted to have a drink", which turned into a real lunch thanks to the inviting menu and the pleasant ambience in the courtyard. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Recommended!

Just in front of the cathedral, it is a very nice location. The food was very good. The kind lady that took our order was vey agitated and not customer oriented..almost aggressive. Still we decided to enjoy the food and the view and ignore that. I hope that she was just having a bad afternoon.

A great restaurant in the center of Regensburg. The Heuport is located in a historic building. The existing flair of the building is further enhanced with very beautiful furnishings. You can also watch the hustle and bustle on Cathedral Square through the windows. The direct view of the cathedral is also wonderful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The drinks and food ordered were served quickly. I would like to say about the food. Everything very tasty and fresh. I have never eaten a better pork knuckle. The crust is super crispy and the meat is very tender. You didn't actually need a knife because the meat was already falling off the bone. But the food my companions served was also very tasty. Everyone left the restaurant with a smile. Okay, the Heuport is not the cheapest restaurant but considering the service, I consider it to be inexpensive and definitely typical of the area. Conclusion: Thank you for the hospitable hospitality. I'd love to come back.

Typical tavern cuisine, nice ambience, nice service. The only negative point: We made a reservation via OpenTable. That didn't work and there was no information that the entire restaurant was occupied by a closed group. We then sat outside, it was okay, but not the plan and not optimal...

The food was very weak and in small quantities. The worst thing was that they accommodated us on the interior terrace where there was an individual who smoked one cigarette after another and the smoke came at us, bothering us a lot. We asked him politely if he could stop smoking while we were eating and he shouted back that he was on the terrace and could do whatever he wanted and that if we had any problem, we should tell the waiter. We said it and they ignored us and while the man smoked even more. Obviously, one can smoke whatever they want but it must NOT disturb others and must also have the approval of the premises. We do not recommend it. P.S: At the very least, they could have accommodated us in a NON-smoking area when we said the smoke bothered us, instead of agreeing with that individual. The law protects NON-smokers and not the other way around. It seems that on top of that we have to apologize, instead of telling that guy not to smoke us or relocate to a different area.

We were there 2 days in a row. There is no need to say more. Very special ambience with the inner courtyard and the stairs, directly overlooking the cathedral. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good.

The last time! There is no relationship between price and performance. Service staff completely overwhelmed, you wait forever for drinks, the atmosphere in the courtyard is loveless and dirty. I had ordered a beautifully set table for the birthday party. What I found was a dirty and stale table, no place settings and shit-filled toilets. The flat rate of 45 euros per person for the “Wirtshaus Schmaus” is so excessive and the drinks flat rate is not a flat rate, but only applies to non-alcoholic drinks. The Heuport house was once a flagship. What we found is a poorly run store.

Das letzte Mal! Preis Leistung steht in keinem Verhältnis. Servicepersonal völlig überfordert, auf Getränke wartet man ewig, Ambiente im Innenhof lieblos und dreckig. Ich hatte für die Geburtstagsfeier einen schön gedeckten Tisch bestellt. Was ich vorgefunden habe war ein dreckiger und kaler Tisch, ohne Gedeck und vollgeschissene Toiletten. Die Pauschale von 45 Euro pro Person für den "Wirtshaus Schmaus" ist sowas von überzogen und die Getränkepauschale ist keine Pauschale, sondern gilt lediglich für alkoholfreie Getränke. Das Haus Heuport war mal ein Aushängeschild. Was wir vorgefunden haben ist ein schlecht geführter Laden.

There were 6 of us and we made reservations through Open Table, which worked out great. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The selected dishes were very good, but they could have been served warmer. This would improve the quality again. Otherwise everything was fine.

A very nice old inn in a rustic style! The ambience inside is very well maintained, traditionally furnished with modern elements. A very good mix! You can sit wonderfully outside with a view of the cathedral. The staff is attentive and very friendly! So, enough about the food, now to the actual thing: The food is excellent, comes quickly and tastes good! This is the place to eat when you're traveling in Regensburg!

The long waits for food are unbearable. You have to share your beer and starve before you get a small portion and leave hungry again.

Place is nice. Food isn't bad. But extremely slow service with low occupancy of the guests. First, needed to wave to waiter, to take our order. Ordered starter and was waiting for it more than 30 min. Only view of the cathedral made experience a bit pleasant.

Der schlechteste Schweinshaxe, den ich je gegessen habe. Übergekocht und trocken, Sauce hatte auch keinen Geschmack. Die Roulade war laut meines Mannes hervorragend. Kellner gab keine Entschedigung. Wäre das in UK, Italien oder Spanien passiert, hätten wir den Nachtisch oder einen Schnaps umsonst bekommen.

Good place right next to the cathedral

Wir haben mit NeoTaste gebucht und es war alles prima. Die Kellnerin war sehr lieb es war nur ein bisschen schade, dass die Tageskarte gar nicht verfügbar gewesen ist.

Das Essen war leider enttäuschend, der Schweinebraten trocken und fad - gefühlt gar nicht gewürzt. Die erste Bedienung war extremst langsam, unkoordiniert und hat uns schlichtweg vergessen die Bestellungen zu bringen. NeoTaste APP wurde erst zugesagt, dann hieß es beim Bezahlen, dass kein Kontingent mehr dafür da sei. In Summe tolles Ambiente mit leider unprofessionellem Service. Man muss allerdings auch dazu sagen, dass dann die spätere Bedienung versucht hat das wieder auszugleichen.

Absolute recommendation for this great restaurant. Great service, delicious food and great ambience. We can absolutely recommend Obatzer, white sausages, knuckles and cheese spaetzle. Homemade lemonades are recommended to quench your thirst. It wasn't the last time we were here. It rounded off our short vacation in Regensburg and was the perfect ending for us.

The place is historical, the architecture is fantastic, you can feel the spirit of antiquity. Interesting and educational. The dishes are terrible, the taste is disgusting, everything is either bland or has too much spice, completely overwhelming the taste of the food. I ordered beef medallions, they brought outright goulash🤦‍♀️ pieces of meat, with an insane amount of seasonings in a bowl of sauce (The shank was served with SOMETHING as a side dish in the form of balls, the taste was an incomprehensible mixture of half-baked dough and the same potatoes. They paid 150 € and left hungry))

We were there for dinner and it was delicious. The ambience was super nice, the view of the cathedral is very special. The most pleasant thing was the incredibly nice staff, who were attentive, unobtrusive and very friendly. We can highly recommend the Heuport.

Unfortunately, even after contacting me three times by phone about making a reservation for an 80th birthday, everything went wrong and we had to go eat somewhere else... Unfortunately, on each of the three times I had a pretty incompetent person on the phone who gave me completely wrong information and promised me things that were not possible. It's a real shame because we were really looking forward to the actually great atmosphere!! :(

Reservation service in advance is extremely poor. Already reserved for public viewing last Sunday and received reservation confirmation. ONE day (Friday!) before the requested reservation was finally announced that reservations were not possible for public viewing. Communication flow and transparent, timely information leave something to be desired and can be improved.

Wir hatten Zander (war gut) Schweinebraten war auch gut. Bei der Schweinshaxe war die Soße nur lauwarm. Die nachbestellte Soße war auch nur lauwarm und wurde mit 2.50 € berechnet. Beim schweinebraten und bei der Schweinshaxe war als Beilage Krautsalat in der Karte. Es wurde uns ohne Bemerkung Kartoffelsalat hingestellt.

Ich habe reserviert für einen Tisch für 6 Personnen für drinnen und wir müssten draußen essen, weil der Raum oben nicht offen war. Es wäre schön solche Informationen über der Webseite zu erhalten.

The food came after quite a long wait, with ice-cold dumplings and tasted anything but good. People on the tables next to and behind us also complained about the poor quality of the food.

First I went to the Glöckl in the DEZ. I wanted to have sauerkraut with the Sauren Zipfeln. For whatever reason, this was not possible. So I went to the inn in the Heuport at the cathedral. And oh wonder, oh wonder, it was of course possible here. Many thanks to the inn. Many thanks to the great service! - Always nice here

Hello, we were in the beer garden on Whit Monday, there was a waitress in charge, she ran her heels off, the poor girl. This is not acceptable in terms of planning. This wasn't the case with the predecessor and we were here several times. Not good advertising. Kind regards, Werner

The decor and building are really pretty and historic, but other than that, this restaurant really doesn't have much to offer. The veal ragout costs €23 (!!!), is a tiny portion (three thin dumpling slices with 5 small cubes of meat) and didn't even taste particularly good, it was average at best. The portion of the roast pork was also very small, but quite tasty. The schnitzel was good and the portion was also good (almost €17). Overall, the meal for just 3 people cost over €70. In addition, we had to wait over an hour for food. Overall a disappointment when the location and building were so great.

The ambience of this great brewery is amazing! The good smells stimulate the appetite and you have a great view of the cathedral while eating, so that the impressions gained during the sightseeing can be easily processed. The service is attentive and very accommodating. The quality of the food is in no way inferior. In short: two thumbs up! I was very excited. And after a rather sobering experience in another restaurant, I wanted to let the waitress know that she had made my day.
