Leider nicht sehr gastfreundlich. Wir waren aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen extra von etwas weiter her angereist und wurden mitten in der Gaststube vor allen anwesenden Gästen auf sehr brüske Art abgewiesen. Eine sehr unangenehme Situation. Ja, wir hatten nicht reserviert, das hätten wir wohl besser tun sollen, aber man kann ja trotzdem freundlich bleiben und potentielle Kundschaft nicht vor versammelter Mannschaft verprellen. Schade.

Der Chef ist unfreundlich und möchte kein Geld verdienen. Ist nicht das erste mal das er unhöflich und pampig ist.

Rustikales Ambiente, ruhige Lage, Essen sehr gut, kleiner Parkplatz 30 m entfernt.

Wir waren heute mit einer größeren Gruppe zum Spargelbuffet Essen. Es hat super geschmeckt, die Auswahl war vielfältig. Alles sehr lecker und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Große Schnitzel, sehr lecker zubereitet. Urig eingerichtet.

Sind aufgrund der guten Rezensionen hergekommen, waren leider enttäuscht. Service war okay aber nicht mehr. Das Schweineschnitzel hat unerwartet geschmeckt und uns entfernt nach Hühnchen kross vom Asiaten erinnert. Das Ambiente ist urig rustikal, hier passt alles. Parkplätze sind vor der Tür vorhanden.

Wir fahren öfters in die Wirtsklause und sind jedesmal von dem Essen begeistert. Es sind große Portionen und es schmeckt auch sehr gut. Wer hier nicht zufrieden rausgegangen ist hat etwas falsch gemacht.

Gute Küche mit einem schönen Bereich zum Essen und Trinken. Thema Chef, etwas Speziell 😉... Das Wirtshaus Harzklause hat an Charme und Charakter nichts verloren und es ist immer noch sehr gemütlich.

Wir waren zwei Tage hintereinander im Wirtshaus Harzklause in Herzberg und haben das Weihnachtsbuffet genossen. Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und weihnachtlich, und das Essen war wirklich hervorragend – besonders die hausgemachten Spezialitäten haben uns überzeugt. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam, sodass wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die ein besonderes Weihnachtsbuffet suchen!

Ich bin wirklich begeistert von diesem Restaurant! Deutsche Küche mit frischen Produkten und einem super tollen Ambiente. Gerade jetzt in der Weihnachtszeit. Gegessen haben wir: Eine Hühnersuppe (meine Frau kriegt nicht so viel runter) und danach jeweils ein Schlemmer Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln. Die Hühnersuppe war göttlich!! Die Schlemmer Schnitzel hatten eine Sauce Bernes mit frischen Champignons und Speckstückchen auf dem Rücken. Es war reichlich das Fleisch saftig und einfach fast zu viel zum aufessen. Absolut empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Wir kommen gerne wieder.🥰

We spontaneously stopped by the Harzklause after a trip to the Oderteich pond, and what can we say? Absolutely delicious food, super friendly people. The mushroom sauce was definitely among the tastiest I've ever tasted! My friend raved about the texture of the fried egg on his Western-style schnitzel! My girlfriend's cheese spaetzle was super cheesy and creamy! The portions were so large that we still had some to take home. Highly recommended!

The owner was very unfriendly and professionally incompetent. The food might be good for some, but for me, as a trained chef, it was unfortunately nothing special. Frozen schnitzel, some ready-made sauces, store-bought salad dressing, etc. We were a large group, and unfortunately, everyone was disappointed or dissatisfied with the owner.

The best schnitzels and sauces in the entire Harz Mountains. We spent seven days in the area and ate a few schnitzels, and I haven't had such a good gypsy schnitzel in a long time. My daughter loved the hunter's schnitzel and talked about it every day. My dad loved the broccoli schnitzel, and there wasn't a single dry thing, and everything was so tender. So, the price/performance ratio was really top-notch. We also loved the ambiance; everything was perfectly coordinated. The host and the cook were very friendly; we appreciated the personal touch and the warm atmosphere.

My wife had a very tasty and generous schnitzel. I had a very well-seasoned beef steak with delicious herb butter. I'd gladly go back!

A truly cozy restaurant. We were totally surprised by how cozy and lovingly decorated it was. We almost thought we were on vacation in Bavaria or Austria. The food was truly delicious. Delicious spices were hidden in the breading of the "Vienna-style" schnitzel. So, it wasn't "one size fits all." Truly delicious. Later, we met the very friendly cook by chance. We could taste beforehand that the schnitzels were all freshly prepared, but she had also confirmed it herself. Absolutely realistic value for money. Highly recommended. We'd be happy to go back!

My friend had reserved a table for lunch today. Unfortunately we stood in front of a closed door, and not only us, but also 3 other guests who had also made reservations. When making the reservation, they explicitly asked for the phone number. The host cannot cancel. We had a journey of 25 kilometers. That was an experience.

It was a spontaneous stop on the way back from Hamburg and we wanted to have a nice dinner on Saturday evening... without a reservation we were warmly welcomed and were able to enjoy the great food... Thank you and we will stop again... Tip: If you like schnitzel, this is the place for you. 👍

Nice, very typical, rural inn. The innkeeper was nice, friendly and attentive. The cook is a specialist in the kitchen. There were six of us there and everyone enjoyed it very much. A treat combined with attractive prices. That's how it has to be. Thanks to the team, we will definitely come back again.

We went out to eat on vacation. The portions are large and the price is okay. So you get really full. On top of that, it was delicious. The ambience is typical of a rustic inn. I would have been happier if the waiter had been a little less taciturn. :-) But otherwise the service was quick, attentive and good and it didn't detract from the pleasant stay.

My family and I (2 adults and 2 children) had reserved a table for Sunday lunch. When we arrived at the restaurant and waited at the front, the landlord (?) immediately shouted at us: “...I can't help you today!”. No hello, no good day, it started immediately. My wife replied, “But we have a reservation,” to which she grumpily replied, “Yes, but it can take a long time, I’m alone!” We were then allowed to sit at a free table and wait for the menu to be brought to us. It took 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, then 15 minutes: we weren't brought a menu, nor could we order, there was simply no host/waiter in sight. After almost 20 minutes we got up and left. The food may be good, but the service and respect for paying guests deserve 0 stars!!! It may have been a stressful day because staff were unavailable, but you can still be nice and friendly. A reasonable description of the situation would have met with understanding from us. But the first impression was a complete disaster.

Went to the Harzklausel Essen today, I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised. I had a coachman's pan and my wife had a schnitzel with fried potatoes. Both dishes were super tasty and very large portions. I have rarely eaten such a delicious schnitzel composition as the Kutscherpfanne, it tastes great and is almost impossible to make even for good eaters. Compliments to the chef!

You simply have to give 5 stars here. We were there as a hiking group and were served (by prior arrangement) about an hour and a half before the official opening time. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. With the correspondingly good mood, we happily left this restaurant and continued on to the train station in Herzberg. We say thank you!

Great “quaint” shop, very tasty food and portions to fill you up.

The name says it all - rustic hospitality, although the innkeepers needed a little time to thaw out. The food is rustic and very well prepared, the portions are well sized, and the price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. The ambience is rustic and appropriate with lots of light wood - tavern style. Parking is easy within a short distance. A clear recommendation for a visit.

Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Die Wirtsleute sind im Prinzip immer sehr nett, wobei er erstmal eine kleine Zeit zum Auftauen braucht. Die Portionen sind reichlich und das Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut angemessen. Die Musik sowie das Ambiente finde ich urig und passend. Man findet in unmittelbarer Nähe einen kostenlosen Parkplatz.

Haben zwar nicht vor Ort gespeist. Aber das Essen ist selbst außer Haus absolut Klasse. So leckeres in Herzberg. Absolut super und empfehlenswert.

Essen ist top, die Kneipe muss man einfach besuchen. Ich habe selten so gut gegessen, und die Portion sind einfach nur Mega. Wer hier hingehen will sollte vor reservieren. Viel Spaß.... Noch was, das Personal ist spitze , der Wirt behält seine Ruhe obwohl der Laden voll ist. Wenn ich wieder in herzberg sein sollte, werde ich versuchen jedenfalls ein Tisch zu bekommen.

Die Wirtschaft ist nur weiter zu empfehlen. Sehr gutes Essen, hausgemacht, selten so gut gegessen. Portionen sehr reichhaltig.

Prima Essen und Getränke. Gemütlich, sauber, ruhig. Immer gern wieder. Leider Personalmangel, bewirbt euch für Küche und Service.

Enorm fijn restaurant. Het is erg lokaal en daar houden wij van. Prijzen zijn erg goed voor het volle bord wat je er voor krijgt. Eten smaakte heerlijk! Het was druk toen wij er waren en de eigenaar was hierdoor zelf ook erg druk. Desondanks werden we goed geholpen! We zagen om ons heen dat restjes meegenomen kunnen worden.

Sehr schönes uriges Restaurant. Besitzer ist speziell aber mega sympathisch :) Essen war fantastisch, schon lange nicht mehr so gute Schnitzel gegessen. Absolut zu empfehlen!
