We went to dinner at Ampoule last night. It was my first time there and I was really happy to finally be able to eat there. When we walked in, I immediately noticed the ambience - it's really nicely decorated, with a lot of attention to detail. My friend wanted to make us happy and discussed with the waiter a meat platter for everyone along with various side dishes. The waiter was supposed to carve the meat for us at the table. So we expected a great mix of medium fried meat. When the starters came, I was a bit suspicious. The Caesar salad was nothing special, even in terms of the selection of ingredients. It was prepared correctly and tasted okay, but for the price it didn't blow me away. The carpaccio was also tasty, but no better than the Italian restaurant around the corner. The tartare was well seasoned, but nothing special either. However, everything was nicely arranged. But the price-performance ratio wasn't right here. Then came the selection of meat for the main course - already pre-sliced ​​without the waiter carving it fresh at the table. We had ordered medium, but what was served was a colorful mix of different cooking levels - sometimes very dry. Here I have to say: At this point the concept is no longer correct. You call yourself the Beef Club and you can't handle it? Correctly cooking meat is a discipline that determines the price. The chef can only control the quality of the meat to a limited extent, but he is responsible for its preparation. I found the side dishes to be cheeky. Here the quality did not correspond to the price. €6.90 for a small bowl of potato gratin - made from the wrong type of potato (floury potatoes) and then overcooked. Three bacon beans, lukewarm and prepared without any love, for a price that was far too high. The sweet potato wedges were okay, but not great either. I was actually most annoyed about the onion jam - it was definitely worth a 5. We pointed out the meat to the waiter. First we were promised a round of schnapps on the house, then a dessert platter and espresso. I thought that was a very good reaction from the waiter - he didn't look for excuses, but acted professionally. And here I have to say: the dessert was really delicious. The tart is on point, the crème brûlée is classic and very well prepared. But we came for the meat - and unfortunately that was nothing. However, we were charged in full. All the extras on the house don't make up for it, because we didn't come for the tonka bean, we came for the beef club. It can always happen that something doesn't fit. But in this price category that shouldn't be the case. We paid over €1,000 and unfortunately the evening was absolutely not worth it. You try to be more than you actually are.

Really great food, very high quality meat, lots of truffles on the tarte flambée and the dessert was a dream! The location is nice and lovingly furnished, the employees are friendly, but unfortunately completely inattentive. We almost died of thirst at the table and had to actively ask for the dessert menu. Everything took a really long time and the store wasn't completely full. But would come back because of the good food.

The food was very tasty, but as I've written before: the side dishes are rather sparse (3 sweet potato wedges, 3 rolls of green beans with bacon). Even sauces have to be purchased separately. The service was mixed. One service person was very friendly and accommodating, the other was more condescending and had strange humor (?) or strange questions. The ambience at our place was marred by the fact that the exhibit exuded a musty smell that some found disturbing. Likewise, the rows of tables are so close that you can't always get through between the tables ("Parisian conditions")

Gin 5 out of 5. Food 4 out of 5. I recommend you go here. The gin selection is amazing. Waitress would bring bottles over for us to smell before ordering. Food was great, except the cardinal sin of overcooking a steak. One steak was perfect, the other was medium instead of medium rare. But, the rest of the food was so good to include smell. Service was great except a period of time where we went a while waiting to order another drink.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience here. We had to wait 2 hours for our food. Everyone had received a cooking level that we hadn't ordered. After all 4 of us complained about it, we were offered to do it again, but we said no because we had already waited 2 hours for the food ourselves. For the price absolutely no service and no quality we will absolutely avoid this restaurant.

We had a very nice evening there. The service was very accommodating and suggested a good gin according to my needs. For starters we had carpaccio, which had very good quality meat and was the best thing I've eaten so far. The portion was generous so it could easily be shared. The steak for the main course was fried as requested and tasted very good. So the price-performance ratio is right. The only point of criticism, which everyone probably sees differently, is that I'm not a fan of digital menus and I don't think it suits the atmosphere there either. Addendum: This is the first time we have visited this restaurant in a long time (2 years) and we are unfortunately disappointed with what has become of it. This time the carpaccio was laced with several unchewable tendons, the portion was smaller and the taste was no longer anything special. The overall quality also doesn't seem to be that good anymore. The steak could have used more roasted flavors. All side dishes were only lukewarm and extremely small. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Too bad about the restaurant.

We reserved a table for 4 people on Saturday evening. The service was not what we expected. 1 Surf and Turf , the lobster wasn't warm. Ryb eye steak was served lukewarm. Ultimately we paid €388 including 2 bottles of Malbec red wine and 1x beef tartare as a starter. When we paid we were given a schnapps on the house because we mentioned the cold dishes. Price/performance ratio doesn't fit. No repeat factor.

The food was “so mediocre”. I ordered the fillet steak medium. In my opinion it was way too “done” and the meat wasn’t really tender either. The side dishes were ok, but not a blast either. However, the ambience and service were great. Made up for a lot.

We were there on New Year's Eve with a reservation. The service was very friendly and attentive. There was an extra New Year's Eve card. We enjoyed it very much. The side dishes were also enough for us. :-) A rather high-priced restaurant. If you want to treat yourself to something, definitely a recommendation.

Unfortunately, my visit wasn't outstanding (which should definitely be the case given the price!) The steak had tendons in it (not possible!). Otherwise it was good. The side dishes are extremely small, which other people have already written here... so 1 side dish is definitely not enough. What's that supposed to mean?? You also had to buy each individual sauce separately. There was simply nothing to go with the steak unless you paid extra. In other comparable steakhouses you always get something with it: be it garlic bread, sauces, fries, etc... The gin and tonics are good, but really completely overpriced! 17 euros for a gin with Schweppes Tonic... What else can you say? However, the service was really good and always courteous. All in all, the concept could certainly be improved. We will no longer come here because of the price-performance ratio and would rather go to comparable other steak restaurants in Stuttgart.

Utterly fantastic! My wife and I had an incredible evening! Best steak I have ever eaten. And you get exactly what you ask for - if you want "black and blue" (basically almost raw), or you order medium rare, that is exactly what get. Quality cannot be topped. The gin selection (over 300 different gins)...unbelievable. Which brings me to the service. Also can't be topped! Outstanding. You simply had to say what type of gin you like, they give a recommendation (or you can leave it to them to decide, based on what you like)...matched perfectly. And at every step, they go above and beyond to make your meal a magical experience. I cannot recommend them enough! I know we will be back very soon!

This is the best steakhouse in Stuttgart, it's not even close. From the moment you walk in the door, the service is excellent, and if your table isn't ready, enjoy a well made cocktail from the bar. The surf and turf is some of the best I've ever had, the lobster tastes fresh, and the steak was perfectly cook with a delicious bernaise sauce. The spinach and au gratin potatoes are the best sides to get. The desserts are enjoyable also. If you're not a gin drinker, they have other options as well, so don't let that deter you. I highly recommend this place if you're going out for steak, I know I'll be back many times.

I wanted to treat myself to something for my visit to Stuttgart. Because I was craving steak, I came across the restaurant. The plus point here was that I also like to drink gin. So meat and gin are a perfect combination. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly and the meat/gin somelier introduced himself. I had a gin recommended to me twice and both hit the mark in terms of taste. I ordered the Tenderloin 200g Rare. It was a hit in terms of cooking and taste. I found the side dish tasty, but nothing special. But it's ok here, as the piece of meat should be the focus. The crowning finale was the delicious dessert. Finally, briefly about the setup. Old-fashioned furnishings, but fits perfectly into the concept. I'd love to come back. 🤘😋 Update: Was in Stuttgart again today and there. Everything as usual. Service friendly. Food delicious

Friendly service and good steak. You really can't complain about that. The larger steaks are carved directly at the table by the team. But the prices are quite high, especially if, despite the already decent price for a steak, you have to pay over 5 euros for a tiny side dish. It is very narrow and was also very loud in the restaurant. The volume was due to the other guests of the evening, who spoke a lot and loudly and not necessarily to the ampoule. We only tried a gin, which was delicious, but then we really wanted to get outside again.

Unfortunately the quality of the food and service has declined significantly. The spare ribs were okay, the Caesar salad was little for the price and the dressing was no Caesar dressing. Unfortunately, the side dishes weren't good either, the spinach had hardly any seasoning and was very bland, and there were far too many peppercorns on the beans. Unfortunately, in 2 of 4 meat dishes the cooking point was clearly off, but in 1 it was still acceptable. The completely undercooked beef fillet could be “processed”. Unfortunately, the porterhouse was completely overcooked and therefore inedible - unless ordered that way - and was almost completely returned. Annoying for both sides. Strong reaction from the restaurant manager, the bill wasn't included and he didn't say anything nice either. Unfortunately very limited space. The “gin thing” on the side was cool, but we were primarily there to eat. It's a shame that there are such non-cook days even in this price category.

We were here for a work dinner. Being a large party; the service was good. The steaks were SO good - tender, juicy, perfectly cooked! As a table, we ordered all the sides and had 'family style' in which we passed everything around. There was plenty of food to go around. The gin drinks were delicious and they really do have the art down. A few of us even had dessert, which were very tasty as well. I can't wait to go back here, and I definitely will.

First I would like to mention the positives before I list the negatives. The service in the steak restaurant “Ampulle” was very polite and hospitable. The 600g rib-eye was fried to perfection. Unfortunately, that was it in terms of positive points. It was the first time in the vial for me yesterday. As soon as I entered the restaurant I was irritated that guests were allowed to smoke at the bar. An absolute no-go, the restaurant seats are 2m away. There is a sliding door, but it was open all evening. You eat in the smoke!! The side dishes were also cold and just average (beans and sweet potato fries). The rump steak was served cold, unfortunately the temperature wasn't any better on the second attempt. The 300g filet mignon was never 300g, after mentioning it during service it was very nice brought another piece of meat. In this price range, I expect that the meat is served to perfection and that the side dishes are harmonious. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right either. Too expensive for the criticisms. The smoke was the biggest point of criticism. Unfortunately, the first and last visit to the ampoule!!

Preise unverschämt. 20€ für eine 200g - Minisalatportion - WOW! Spareribs waren lauwarm - das offene Feuer, in dem sie gegrillt werden wollten, scheint wohl sehr weit weg von der Küche gewesen zu sein, Cole Slaw und Kartoffelgratin kamen meiner Meinung nach direkt aus dem Eimer. So hat es jedenfalls geschmeckt. Laden sehr staubig und insgesamt in die Jahre gekommen. Auch der ganze Dekoramsch macht es nicht gemütlicher. Der Mann im Service hat uns mindestens 4 mal gefragt, ob er dieses oder jenes nicht vergessen hätte, da könnten Zettel und Stift vielleicht mal durch moderne Geräte ersetzt werden. Man kann by the way auch auf charmantere Weise verkaufsfördernd arbeiten ohne den Leuten unangenehm auf den Sack zu gehen. 😉 Einzig die junge Dame im Service, die leider nicht für uns zuständig war, sich aber dennoch um uns gekümmert hat, war ein Lichtblick. Alles in Allem eine Erfahrung, die ich mir lieber erspart hätte.

We recently visited the ampoule for the first time and were immediately greeted in a friendly manner. The ambience is very nice. Overall, our food was good, but unfortunately we weren't necessarily satisfied at the end. The pricing overall is not without its price. 50 € for surf & turf (see photo) & small potato gratin for 6 euros. Unfortunately, we weren't full afterwards and had to treat ourselves to some fries in the fish laboratory, which I can recommend by the way ;) Joking aside, but... What also shocked me a little was a 0.33 liter Wulle in a swing-top bottle for €4.90. It's probably the much talked about inflation. 0.5 liters for €5 are now absolutely fair and common. But if I want to drink a Wulle, I can also mingle with the students in front of the Mata Hari. If I want to drink a beer in a finer restaurant, then it can be a suitable beer.

We are really lucky to find this place in Stuttgart. Starters, main courses, gins, everything was great. There were 6 of us, we each ordered different starters and main dishes. Every dish we ordered was truly delicious. There are no words for the Gins anyway :) The waiters were very attentive, explained our choices and gave great guidance. If you could have given the kitchen stars, it would have earned 5 stars. The service was not satisfactory because 4 different operators were responsible for us and communication with each other did not work. This was then emotionally transferred to us guests. When the side dishes were served with the meat, the meat was already cold. Drinks were served incorrectly and sometimes simply forgotten. Attempts were made to limit the damage with apologies. With a location like this and its prices, I expect a lot more professionalism. Children who jump around the room are rewarded with gifts and guests who pay a large amount are inadequately served. It's a shame that our experience didn't live up to expectations. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone else. There are much better substitutes in Stuttgart. As a gin and beef bar, it's not enough to offer more than 100 different types of gin. Cocktails and actual technical knowledge would have been desirable. It's a shame we were used to better things from this place. Nevertheless, a good start to 2024. Last but not least, the tartare and the truffled sauce were very, very tasty.

The steak wasn't quite medium and the Béarnaise sauce was more of a Hollandaise sauce that contained a maximum of homeopathic doses of chopped tarragon, which belongs in there. Despite these compromises, the food was very good and tasty, but only 4 stars, especially at the price level. The service was very good, always friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is very cozy. We'd love to come back!

Tolles Restaurant und Gin Bar. Es hat eine sehr sehr große Auswahl an Gin. Falls man sich nicht entscheiden kann wird man sehr gut beraten und auch bei Vorlieben wird darauf eingegangen. Fand ich super aufmerksam. Das Essen war auch klasse. Hatte passend zum Mittwoch spare ribs und die waren lecker und gut. Das Brot dazu fand ich super lecker. Kollegen von mit hatten eunen Burger und eim Filet. Beide waren sehr zufrieden. Die Qualität des Essens ist super. Preislich passt es zur Qualität. Werde definitiv wieder kommen. Ich war erneut in der Ampulle und war sehr begeistert von der Professionalität der Bedienung. Auch das Essen war wieder klasse! Hatte den Salat mit Rinderstreifen, die sehr zart waren. Dazu noch einen Kartoffel gratin. Der klasse war.

Waren spontan zum Spareribs essen dort. Das Wichtigste zuerst: Die Spareribs sind ein Traum. Butterzart, so das sich jede Rippe einfach vom Fleisch lösen lässt. Die BBQ Sauce passt perfekt. Optisch jetzt kein Highlight, aber geschmacklich definitiv einer der besten Spareribs im Raum Stuttgart! Service super & freundlich. Preis-Leistung passt hier. Kommen gerne wieder 👍 Update: zu empfehlen ist ebenfalls das Rindertatar mit 5 von 5 Sternen sowie der Burger mit 4 von 5 Sternen, vorallem wenn man einen großen Hunger hat. Weiter so!

Das Personal ist sehr kompetent und freundlich. Es ist ein sehr schönes und sauberes Lokal. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker, jedoch war das Steak sehr zäh, was man bei einem Preis von 42€ nicht erwarten sollte. Außerdem sind 5,20€ für eine in 3 Teile geschnittene halbe Süßkartoffel trotz des guten Geschmackes sehr viel und hat uns ein wenig sprachlos gelassen. Aber abgesehen davon sind die Soßen und vor allem der Salat einen erneuten Besuch wert. Ein weiteres Geschmackserlebniss bot uns das Schokoladensouflet.

1. service erste Klasse professionell und sehr aufmerksam bis auf Antonio der am Ende kassiert hat (selten so ein unwürdiges Verhalten erlebt) am Ende nach dem das Essen zurück ging hieß es ich hätte mich früher melden melden, dies ist jedoch gesehen allerdings kam nach der Reklamation Kein Mensch mehr an unseren Tisch. 2. Ambiente super schön 3. Essen leider absolut enttäuschend, die Empfehlung war seriös und gut jedoch das Essen bei jedem nicht gut. Capaccio Hand geklopft (Durchmesser ohne Klopf Spuren so breit wie mein I Phone) und voller Sehnen Burger zerbricht-wurde auf die Soße geschoben lag aber am Brötchen, Patty sollte frisch sein war jedoch trocken und komplett durch. Steak meines Freundes ging sofort zurück gegangen Fleisch qualli leider gleich mies wie Abbacos. Bin unterm Strich extrem gereizt und sofort in ein anderes Restaurant gegangen. Mit 4 Kritiken an einem Tisch wird respektlos umgegangen. Es hieß sowas habe hier Keller gehört, ein Blick in die Küche zeigte jedoch einige Köche die anscheinend einiges zu tun hatten. Ich erwähne selten Namen aber Kellner Antonio war der Grund nie wieder zu kommen. Kann aber wirklich daran liegen dass es voll war. Wilhelmer war bislang immer ne gute Adresse :(

A lot of potential but left wishing for more. Steaks lacked searing and slightly over cooked (combined with dull cutlery… a lot of sawing was needed). €18 gin and tonics. Service fell off quickly when the later reservation groups began to show. Flammkuchen was amazing however. I’ll come back on a less busy night and give it another shot, but a busy Friday was a bust for me.

The place holds over 400 types of gin! At first, we described the kind of gin we kike and the gin sommelier gave us an exect recommendation. Twice a month, there is a gin tasing evening, and we have missed it. Luckily, the kind staff let us try the tasting in a bit different way, and it was really interesting! We've got to taste 5 different kinds of gin with different types of tonic water. For the beef part of the menu... we had ribeye steak and steak fillet that were cooked to a perfect medium. The place itself is so calm and nice, you actually feel like you are in a village, out of the busy city!

Everything was so delicious here. I had the ribeye, sweet potato wedges that had curry on them, and a salad. My two friends had the dry aged rump steak with curry butter and could not stop talking about how it was the best steak they have ever had. There is also a very nice selection of gin and the staff was so friendly and provided world class service. So pleased with everything and worth the price.

Gute und schmackhafte Produkte aus professioneller Küche. Das Konzept ist mittlerweile etwas abgegriffen und die Preise trotz der sehr guten Qualität nicht mehr ganz angemessen. Der Service ist prinzipiell aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Erläuterungen zu jedem Gin und dazu serviertem Tonic Water sind individuell sehr unterschiedlich, von authentisch sympathisch bis gelangweilt in gedichtform präsentiert. Der Zauber der ersten Jahre ist etwas verflogen, vielleicht auch nur weil ich mehrfach dort gespeist habe? Alles in allem gibt es aber insbesondere an den Speisen nichts zu meckern!

Die Atmosphäre ist etwas rustikaler aber hat sehr gepasst und war auch sehr ausgelassen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Filet kann ich nur empfehlen. Uns wurde zu jedem Gang ein entsprechender Gin Tonic empfohlen und die Gins waren ebenfalls hervorragend . Das Essen wurde durch einen phänomenalen Nachtisch beendet. Ich war schon mehrmals hier und werde auch in Zukunft wiederkommen.

Preislich schon eine Wucht aber qualitativ sehr gutes Fleisch.. wohl das beste Burger Patty was ich bisher gegessen habe... Dafür die Beilagen zu klein... Gute Beratung bei der Auswahl des Gins... Dafür aber auch knapp 20€ für einen Gin und Tonic... Flasche Wasser für 7,90€ finde ich auch happig... Laden ist sehr eng bestuhlt.. Wenn der Geldbeutel locker sitzt, definitiv eine tolle Adresse

Gehobene Preise, jedoch kein gehobenes Ambiente oder Essen. Das Fleisch war gut, aber leider nicht dem Preis angemessen. Geschmacklich konnte ich nicht herausfinden, ob es ein dry aged Steak gewesen ist oder nicht. Knappe 20 € für einen Gin-Tonic kann ich noch zähneknirschend akzeptieren, aber als ich auf der Rechnung 5,20 € für eine kleines Wasser (0,2 l) gesehen habe, blieb mir fasst die Spucke weg. Für uns wird es bei diesem einen Besuch bleiben.

Meiner Meinung nach überschätzt. Entweder sollte der Preis oder die Leistung angepasst werden. Wenn ich als Einzelperson 65€ für nen Burger und 2 Gin Toinc bezahle dann muss ich schon sehr,sehr ☝🏼 zufrieden sein und nicht nur sagen,ja war ok. Wie gesagt überschätzt. Schade

Very tasty food! Always freshly prepared! The landlady and waitresses were very friendly and attentive! I always feel very comfortable there! In summer there is a very nice beer garden with a covered area so you can sit dry even when it rains! I really enjoy going here!!

Wenn es einer „Küche“ gelingt, dass 30 Personen mit 3 unterschiedlichen Gerichten (Fleisch, Fisch, vegan) alle gleichzeitig ihr Essen erhalten, dann ist das ein Indiz für eine sehr gute Organisation…..und wenn es dann auch noch hervorragend schmeckt, dann war es - auch Dank des exzellenten, warmen Schokoküchleins mit flüssigem Kern - ein rund herum gelungener Abend.

Honestly? We didn't expect Persian-Swabian cuisine during our spontaneous visit to Waldheim on a Saturday lunchtime, but it was really delicious. The spaetzle stew with chickpeas was particularly excellent. There were some vegetarian and vegan dishes, but also many with meat, so everyone should get their money's worth. The view was nice in the winter, but we definitely want to come back when it's a little greener!
