Großartiges afrikanisches Essen!!! Tolle Atmosphäre

Mein Freund und ich waren zum ersten Mal afrikanisch essen und es war mega. Lecker, authentisch, netter Inhaber ✨ Die Stimmung war bisschen awkward, weil man wie so alle zusammen in einem Raum vorm Fernseher sitzt und nicht wirklich Privatsphäre hat, also Ambiente ist naja, aber es lief tolle Musik und im Endeffekt waren alle nett und haben uns auch bisschen beraten über was wir essen sollten :) Haben uns für Egussi und Spinat mit Rind mit Fufu und Kochbananen als Beilagen entschieden und waren mehr als zufrieden mit dem Essen! Aber sehr ölig alles (glaub das ist in der afrikanischen Küche aber einfach so). Reste konnten wir uns einpacken lassen und mitnehmen. Zahlen geht nur Bar. Preise waren okay. Geht besser geht schlechter :) Werd auf jeden Fall nochmal hingehen und auch die anderen Gerichte nach und nach probieren 😋 Von mir eine klare Empfehlung essenstechnisch. (Am Ambiente könnte man noch arbeiten 👀).

Wer schon einmal im Afrika war, kann dieses Restaurant als absolut authentisch bezeichnen. Das Essen ist super. Verschiedene afrikanische Gerichte sind auch nur hier zu bekommen. Man sitzt dort quasi mit der Familie im Wohnzimmer. Wir sind ein gemischtes Paar und lieben die Ursprünglichkeit. Ja, es läuft ein Fernseher.ja,es ist laut. Aber wenn du nach Hause gehst,hast du auf jedenfall mehr Freunde als vorher.

Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker, unbedingt den Fisch probieren! Ich habe noch NIE so gut gegessen.

Der Fisch ist köstlich! Da nur eine Dame sowohl bedient als auch kocht, geht es ziemlich langsam und nicht immer reibungslos zu. Das Lokal ist sehr klein und weder besonders schön eingerichtet noch einladend gestaltet.

Ich war sehr zufrieden mit dem Personal, die Dame war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war köstlich und die Musik das i-Tüpfelchen. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Stuttgart werden wir gerne wieder hier essen.

Kochbeutelreis bzw. Tomatenreis als afrikanische Spezialität zu verkaufen ist lächerlich. Einzig die scharfe Soße hatte einen internationalen touch. Das Hähnchen war stellenweise noch roh. War sehr enttäuscht

A Decline in Service Dampens a Promising Experience A once-enjoyed dining destination has recently suffered from a shift in service quality. A new server has demonstrated unprofessional, arrogant, and disrespectful behavior, particularly toward women. Despite addressing these concerns directly, the atmosphere remains tense, diminishing the overall dining experience and making it difficult to fully enjoy the food.

The food and service were super friendly! One star deducted because many of the items on the menu were unfortunately unavailable, and we specifically looked at the menu online beforehand. The owner, however, handled it brilliantly; he brought us treats on the house and was incredibly friendly. I can therefore recommend this restaurant; it's better to call ahead and ask what's available.

The food is excellent, with authentic Cameroonian dishes (ndolé and eru) and very good suya! Even though the decor and lighting of the restaurant could certainly be improved, we felt very comfortable. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Stuttgart!

Great food, great atmosphere, and super friendly service. Be sure to plan plenty of time for your meal, as African cuisine takes a little longer to prepare and everything is freshly grilled.

If you are in Stuttgart this place is a must!! The food was very tasty, full of flavor and succulent!! You will want to come back over and over again…

The vibe felt like home, quite similar. Like the usual eatery we have in the Philippines. I am aware it's an Afrikan Restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised that the vibe wasn't standoffish or intimidating like most Restaurants in the city are. We arrived at past 8pm. There are only a few tables, there are no online reservation or number to call available online, or atleast on Google Maps. We were lucky there's an available seating when we arrived. I was set to come here because I have been craving Tilapia. The menu was brought to our table and shortly after, the guy attending us came back to give suggestions for what my Husband could try. The guy was very helpful and informative on suggesting what food we might and might not like. He also suggested that I try Djino instead of cola. And i'm glad I did. This drink taste similar to drinks we had in the Philippines too. While waiting for the food, the guy suggested an appetizer dish that we were also open to trying. It's called Soya. Served with plantain and a spicy sauce. 5/5. Then our food came, the Tilapia was huge 🥰. I couldn't finish the whole thing and had to have it to go. I ordered it with plantain. My Husband had the Eru with Fufu. I love that eating with hands is encouraged here. You can wash your hands in the restroom or on the table, they bring you a tiny pitcher of water and an empty bowl, so you can wash your hands. The restroom was very clean too. It should be a basic thing, but not paid enough attention so it's really nice that it was the case here. The food taste so good. The guy checks on us if the food was alright and even offered to take it back if anything tastes not to our liking. I can only imagine that they have experienced that and are preemptive about it, it's sad that people could be that way. Quite disrespectful. The food tastes well seasoned and tasty. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in the city now. We will visit again and will recommend to our friends. Parking situation: street parking available

Small but nice...😋 Original African cuisine, not fake for German tongues.

The food took forever, the atmosphere is more like a pub and unfortunately many of the dishes were out, but the fish was perhaps the best I've ever eaten. Plus banana, spinach and an absurdly hot sauce, which could be toned down a bit by the bananas. Kudos to the kitchen. “Restaurant” doesn’t really fit somehow.

"Just" WOW. We have a fabulous Tilapia Fish right now, enjoying great African Beat music in a very clean and great atmosphere of a wonderful Kamerun restaurant. May God bless this great sweet place and its people. I wish the Team all the health, love and success for eternity! This us for the soul and the belly.

I've been my first time in this location and what can I say... ... I'll do it again!! The Tilapia fish with rice and spinach has been very good and this all with a really nice and friendly service. I'm a German and feels good and welcome in this small part of African world. It's worth for me to drive 60 km one way and come again

After visiting the Festival of Cultures, my wife and I spontaneously decided not to eat at the festival itself, but to go to a West African restaurant in Stuttgart and then found this restaurant via Google. When we arrived there we were warmly welcomed and we were pleased to discover that the owners, like my wife, are Cameroonians. The restaurant is relatively small with around six tables, but beautifully and locally decorated. The menu is not particularly large, but we immediately recognized numerous typical Cameroonian specialties. For starters we order Suya skewers and for the main course my wife ordered grilled fish with spinach and plantains, I ordered Ndolé with fufu. I would actually have liked Bobolo as a side dish, but unfortunately it wasn't available. This later turned out to be a stroke of luck. Of course we had to wait a good half hour for the food, which is not unusual when the food is freshly cooked by only one cook. Only the Suya skewers could have been served a little more in advance by the landlady, as their preparation is not so time-consuming and the wait would have been shortened. In the end, all the dishes came to the table practically at the same time. But we were able to easily get over this little mishap as we enjoyed the skewers. The meat was not at all dry, as is often the case in Cameroon, but very juicy and wonderfully seasoned. The skewers were already spicy enough on their own, but if that's not enough, you can season with a homemade, spicy-hot allspice. The two main courses were no less tasty. My wife soon became aware of “my” fufu and noticed its great consistency. She immediately grabbed a handful, mixed in some spinach and put it in her mouth. She said that she had only ever had such tasty fufu from her mother. Luckily there was more than enough of it for both of us too. The grilled fish (perch) and the Ndolé were also excellently prepared. Of course, we ordered a Cameroonian soda called “Top” to drink. It is by no means better than the one at home, but it always makes both my wife and I feel homesick and wanderlust for Cameroon. So for us it had a purely nostalgic character and is therefore not mandatory. But if you're curious, you can still try this drink. The restaurant is somewhat remote in Stuttgart, but can be reached in a few minutes on foot from the Feuersee S-Bahn station. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we wish the landlady, who recently reopened the restaurant, much success. In any case, your cooking skills won't fail.

It took 45 minutes for the food to be served. Even though the restaurant was empty. The atmosphere of the restaurant wasn’t very pleasant. The only good thing is the food was nice. Maybe next time we just order to take away.

This place makes me feel like I'm home. Get the roast fish. Thank me later.

Super friendly and good food. There was also nice advice and a recommendation to try something out. Very small but cozy :) I definitely recommend the Soya and the Plantains, otherwise I had the Jelloff rice with chicken and a friend had the Eru with fufu, which is definitely worth a try because it's something you can do The taste of this is not very common in European cuisine. The rice is definitely the closest thing you can call a “sure” hit :)

I drive specially from Mannheim to the restaurant because unfortunately we don't have any West African restaurants. I'm never disappointed with the food, very tasty , and you feel welcome

I was in the restaurant very often when I was still working in Calw. Very good Cameroonian cuisine with excellent service. Owners and employees are nice nice. I can recommend poisson braise with baton de manioc, as well as soya with pimento Plus a cold Guinness

Last Sunday had our dinner there...the food was delicious (had Egussi and Fufu). The portions were satisfactory! There is need for improvements in interior design and the toilets.

Awesomely delicious and sumptuous cuisine. Fresh foods and spices right from the heart of the motherland, served by very friendly personnel. It's like a country side family-owned diner right in the middle of Stuttgart.

Essen war einfach lecker! Wir haben noch nicht viel Erfahrung mit afrikanischem Essen, aber uns wurde direkt etwas empfohlen. Natürlich fällt man als Europäer etwas auf, aber Chef und Gäste waren alle sehr nett! Der Fisch und die Bananen waren unglaublich gut!!! Danke, war ein toller Abend!

The food was definitely tasty as the other reviews suggested. Glad they did not Europeanize the authenticity of the food and flavour. However there was a stale smell coming on and off. Our table cloth had a black spot which looked like mold probably from not being washed as the table cloth is fixed to the table. This could pose as a health hazard. Highly disappointing was that we were charged more than what was stated on the menu. We were told the boss had raised the prices . When did this happen? While we were eating? We were not informed before placing the orders. We find this a very DISHONEST PRACTICE. Omo please DONT CHEAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WETIN BE THIS ?!

Accessibility :It's very easy to access with public transport just a few minutes walk to city center, so weather you use Sbahn or Ubahn you can access venue, there also parking space options as well for drivers depending on the day of the week. Food :The food is the reason why I give this place many stars because😋, I get to taste West African especially Cameroon delicacies that are well prepared, seasoned and traditionally kept not forgetting clean. If you love fish🐠 you will understand the importance of clean cause things could easily go south😁. Atmosphere :The place has an African feel to it so, if your not African it could be alittle loud for you but me being one it's home. However it's too small and that's why I didn't give it 5stars and also the owner who works there is really so friendly and great at what her doesn't as a person but he hasn't been lucky to find employees who share the same qualities when it comes to customer care. Other than that please go visit Pilli-Pilli. 🙏
