Wieninger Bräu is a great place for Bavarian pub fare. The atmosphere in the cellar is very cozy and rustic. The service is very friendly and welcoming. We had a delicious venison goulash and the Leberkäse (Bavarian meatloaf), which we also enjoyed. The portions are quite generous. The beer and the gentian herbal liqueur are also highly recommended.

If you want good, rustic food, this is the place to go. The seating is very comfortable and the service is friendly – ​​we felt very welcome.

I had deliberately chosen to sit a little apart with my young dog because there was another dog in the room. A waitress very rudely told me to move over to the other tables. The conservatory was quite cold, it took a very long time before I could place an order, and the roast pork was very fatty. What a shame. I had been looking forward to a cozy, Bavarian-style restaurant and a good roast pork.

Quite inconspicuous from below, this cozy Bavarian restaurant lies in the basement. Solid brewery food at a fair price, with friendly service. A lovely evening, thank you!

We were there yesterday and were looking forward to some typical Bavarian food. The portions were large. The schnitzel was okay overall, but the meat could have been better. The portion of cheese spaetzle was very large. However, the cheese was rather tart, which I personally don't like. The texture of the spaetzle wasn't great either. The roasted onions, on the other hand, were very good. We also had a side salad. It tasted good, but it was very greasy. The ambiance is very nice because the restaurant is in a cellar. The service was fast and friendly. I wouldn't go back just for the food, though.

We wanted to eat on the small terrace on a cool but pleasant day (around 15 degrees Celsius). I'd just had surgery and can't climb stairs, so we wanted to sit outside. There were already guests sitting in front of us who were being served on the terrace as usual – so it wasn't empty, and there was no sign anywhere that the terrace was closed. Shortly after we sat down, the waitress came out and said that after she'd paid, she wouldn't serve anyone else outside because it was too cold. When I explained that I couldn't climb the many stairs into the restaurant for health reasons, she reacted coldly and simply said, "Then you'll just have to come down if you want to eat." My daughter pointed out to the waitress that this was very rude, but she simply said, "That's your opinion," and after that, we were simply ignored. This behavior lacked any compassion or understanding – very disappointing and absolutely not hospitable. We can't comment on the food, and we can't recommend the restaurant either.

A restaurant's rating depends primarily on the skill of the chef, not on the appearance of the restrooms, the friendliness of the staff, or whether the food is served on golden plates. The first thing that caught my eye was the daily special, which includes the cheapest dishes from the regular menu plus one or two additional items. 1. Note for the restaurant management and the chef: A daily special should only include the daily specials, not the inexpensive standard items, as every guest can distinguish between the regular and daily specials. 2. Note: The daily special is only valid from 2 p.m., even though the restaurant opens at 11 a.m. Aren't the three hours in between considered part of the day? This whole thing is very strange. Now for the food. 😂 Goulash soup... I imagine a hearty soup with lots of side dishes of meat, potatoes, peppers, and onions, similar to what you'd find at a ski hut. However, my soup was very low in salt and had few side dishes: I "found" three pieces of potato and five pieces of streaky meat. 💡Tip: If the chef's creations were generally tested by the restaurant management or the waitress, who receives complaints from guests, I wouldn't have to write a novel here, but could give a much better review. But as I already wrote above: The rating of a restaurant depends on the skill of the chef.

Authentic Bavarian cuisine with good beer. We've been there twice, and one night we even had the pork knuckle. Recommended for those who want to try traditional dishes. I recommend making a reservation.

A top-notch inn. We came here spontaneously without a reservation, and the service made a great spot available for us, so we had a wonderful evening with superb food and exceptionally great service. On top of that, our dog was even allowed in and received a meatloaf from the kitchen 😃. Simply welcoming in a typically rustic inn. Thank you for the evening.

We ate there on Thursday, September 25, 2025. We hadn't reserved a table, but the waitress reserved a table for us in 15 minutes with six other people we didn't know. What can I say, the evening was perfect. The food was fantastic. We had a roast with crackling and onion roast with a mixed salad, which was, in my opinion, one of the best salads I've ever eaten. Whether it's beer, pancake soup, roast pork, steak, or on my last day of vacation, the whole pork knuckle (only to order), it's simply amazing! Very friendly service and a great atmosphere. For me, the best restaurant in all of Prien. If I'm in the area again, a visit is a must.

If a restaurant doesn't state in large letters on its website that it's closed on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and you spend all day looking forward to eating there in the evening, and then you end up walking 2 km from the lake promenade past all the restaurants, only to find the door locked and a note on the door saying it's closed because everyone is on a trip with the bosses, then that's anything but customer-friendly. That's unacceptable. At 6:30 p.m., there aren't many alternatives here.

A very quaint basement restaurant with a beautiful vaulted ceiling. Unfortunately, there are mostly large tables, so you feel a bit lost with four people and can't really have a conversation. It was very busy during the week, so it was also very loud in the restaurant.

At Wieninger Bräu, hospitality is a top priority. We were immediately greeted by very friendly and attentive staff. The menu has a lot to offer, much more than just the obligatory roast pork. The food arrived quickly, was fresh, well-prepared, and very hot. It tasted excellent and was reasonably priced. We'd be happy to come back!

What can I say? It was outstanding! The service, the young man I assume was the proprietor, was very friendly and accommodating. The food was super deliciously prepared and beautifully served (a big hello from the kitchen 👌🏼), and the ambiance was also very nice and exudes a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. We were initially greeted warmly when we made our reservation and were spontaneously able to get a table for later that evening – which was very positive. Unfortunately, the mood quickly soured. After the drinks were brought, our son accidentally knocked over his glass – perfectly normal when there are children around. Guests at neighboring tables immediately helped us with napkins, which was very kind. However, the waitress reacted very abruptly and pointed out in an unfriendly tone that you shouldn't wipe up something like that with napkins, but only with a cloth. This made our child quite uncomfortable. Afterwards, we were ignored for a long time until we were finally allowed to order. The waitress was obviously fed up with us and even sent her colleague to the table. This only made the unpleasant atmosphere worse. The food tasted okay, but the portions were rather small compared to other restaurants – especially in relation to the price. The overall atmosphere seemed very rushed and uncomfortable. We understand stressful evenings and know the everyday grind of a restaurant from our own experience, but in this case, the way we were treated was unfortunately disappointing. For an evening with four people and a correspondingly high bill, we would have preferred more appreciative service and a more hospitable experience.

We ended up here spontaneously. We've only been to a restaurant where no waiter came to us. And here, the exact opposite. A super friendly waitress. Delicious food. And a wonderful old vaulted cellar. We'd love to come back next time we're in the area.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The "market-fresh" vegetables were mushy. The spaetzle were definitely from a packet, dry and bland. A shame.

The service was very nice and friendly, but we were forgotten when paying. The dumplings were almost certainly frozen, and unfortunately, they tasted that way. Sprinkled on top was some kind of grated cheese from a packet, which unfortunately hadn't even melted.

Very good food if you like hearty food. The pork knuckle is as good as at the Haxenbauer, or even better! The outdoor area is by the street, and the cellar vaults might not be ideal in the summer... Nevertheless, I still recommend it. Pre-ordering is a must for the knuckle!

Eight of us arrived spontaneously and received a warm welcome. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time because we hadn't made a reservation, but this was communicated openly and friendly. Time wasn't a problem at all, as the food arrived very quickly, was well presented, and was truly delicious. Everyone was satisfied, the ambiance was great, and the prices were more than fair for the portion size.

The food was delicious and the service very good, and that's why it deserves the full number of stars. Unfortunately, I saw how the Aperol Spritz was made, and it's more like a rip-off, because at least half the glass was filled with sparkling water, then some Prosecco, and a small sip of Aperol. The whole thing cost €8.50, which, honestly, is unacceptable, so it's better to skip it.

We were at Wieniger Bräu just yesterday and we really enjoyed it. We sat on the terrace at the front. It can be a bit noisy there for some people, as the restaurant is located on a busier street. Nevertheless, we had a very good seat. The food was very good and served quickly. We had the dumpling trio and the spaetzle pan. The portions were a good size. The service was very warm, attentive, and gave us excellent advice. We would definitely recommend the restaurant.

We went to the brewery cellar and had cream pancakes, meatballs, and whitefish fillet, with apple fritters for dessert. There's also a wide selection of vegetarian dishes, as well as a large selection of children's dishes. The crusted roast pork was unfortunately disappointing: the crust was tough, the meat dry. Instead of the usual potato dumplings, they served a flavorless bread dumpling. The beer sauce tasted simply salty. The cabbage was cold. I'm not surprised that there were still plenty of free tables inside and outside on a Saturday. After all, everything went very quickly. The vaulted cellar looks nice, and you can sit outside on the busy street.
