Wow, kebab in a Gucci kebab bag. That's a highlight. It was delicious. I'd love to come back. Great service. Great, down-to-earth chef.

One of the best doner kebabs I've ever eaten. The wrap was thin and crispy; the chicken was of the highest quality. The accompanying herb sauce was delicious, definitely suitable as a salad dressing. All the ingredients were fresh. I highly recommend it. I'll be back – 5 stars.

Since the change of management, unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it. It used to be a place with good quality and friendly, personable staff – you could even have a good laugh. Now everything seems interchangeable, like any other kebab shop that's only interested in making a quick buck. Instead of high-quality veal, they only serve pressed minced meat from a spit, and the prices have gone up. It's a shame – nothing of the old quality and atmosphere remains.

*UPDATE 2025* Unfortunately, the change in management has had a negative impact. The quality of the meat isn't up to the same level as the hand-stitched skewers we used to use. It looks like cardboard. The salad is still fresh and delicious. However, the price is the only thing that's truly premium. €8 for a run-of-the-mill doner kebab is too expensive, in my opinion. There are plenty of cheaper alternatives with the same quality. It's a shame, it used to be Bochum's best kebab. OLD REVIEW: Best doner kebab in the area. At €4.90, it's on the higher end, but it definitely lives up to its reputation. The homemade bread is freshly prepared in the pizza oven, and the rotisserie is made from layered and deliciously seasoned veal. The salad has always been fresh, and the sauces are also extremely tasty. For my taste, the doner kebab lacks a bit of sauce, but that can be corrected when ordering.

I'm not usually one for writing reviews, but I decided to give this place a shout-out. I'm from Aachen and stopped in Bochum for a bite to eat. The pizza was amazing and probably the best I've ever had. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Next time I'm in Bochum, I definitely know where to go for a bite to eat. 😋

The first two times, it was a really good kebab, the meat was very high quality, and the skewer was homemade. Now, on the third visit, the skewer was so cheap, you couldn't even call it meat. It was just skin and other leftovers, definitely not meat. Absolutely disgusting. If they make the skewer in-house again, I'll be back. The staff are very nice.

Unfortunately, after the Wiemelhauser Kebap Haus switched to a new operator, things are no longer the same. The meat is now like many kebab shops, and no longer homemade like before.

They want to be premium, but they aren't. Homemade skewers and lahmacun – they definitely taste good. But for the price, I expect something. I almost fell over. €18.50 for a medium-sized lahmacun with meat (+cheese) and a lahmacun with salad is quite expensive, but can certainly be justified. However, I find it outrageous that you then have to scrape together the meager leftovers from the waste container. It's completely unacceptable, and the quantity wasn't even comparable to other restaurants. Premium starts with the service, and if I position myself like that as a restaurateur, then I expect that quality is always offered for these prices. I can eat at the train station for half the price for bland, standard salads and rotten leftovers from a skewer. It doesn't taste any worse there either. I'll be back soon, hoping I'll be less disappointed.

Incredibly delicious fast food, the kind I'd come to Bochum for alone. Freshly prepared dishes, a wide selection. Very friendly, flexible staff, nice people. Only the seating is a bit limited due to the relatively narrow layout. My insider tip: Lahmacun with veal.

Unfortunately, the doner meat was very bad. Very disappointed, it ended up in the trash! Giving customers such dried-out leftovers to save a little money is shame on you.

At Iskender Kebab it should be written that there is doner meat instead of 100% veal meat, for example bread, tomato sause and doner meat is 15€ but it's too much, we didn't like the taste either.

If you're looking for a really good kebab, you've come to the right place. The skewer is homemade, and you can immediately tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality here. The food is fresh, spicy and simply delicious - in my opinion the best kebab in Bochum! Of course, the shop is a classic snack bar and not a restaurant with a chic atmosphere, but the friendly staff ensure a pleasant atmosphere with nice conversations. If you want to enjoy excellent kebab without a lot of frills, you should definitely stop by!

Best kebab in Bochum and the surrounding area: real veal from our own production and you can taste it too. High quality and juicy. The Turkish pizza, Lahmacun, is freshly baked. The shop looks rather inconspicuous from the outside and here in the photos, which makes it a real insider tip. Nice owners, seems very clean.

We were passing through today and were hungry, since somehow all the restaurants in the area seem to be closed on Tuesdays, we didn't have much choice, but fate was kind to us. We had two kebabs with veal. The meat is really good and above all from whole slices and not finely chopped and mashed meat, which is often used in inferior or at least cheap kebab skewers. The lettuce was already pretty much empty, the iceberg was floating in the water, but tomatoes and cucumbers had just been freshly added. The freshly toasted bread was good, not a revelation, but good. Unfortunately the sauces were very thin in taste. They lack a bit of flavor and spice. I might pay the extra for cheese next time to get a little more salt and umami. In terms of price, it's reasonable, although the filling could be a bit more generous. At €6.50 you should be full and unfortunately neither of us were. Nevertheless, all in all one of the better kebabs here in the region and definitely recommended. We didn't eat the pizzas, but they looked surprisingly good for a kebab shop and were very tasty. The restaurant itself has a few tables, but it doesn't exactly invite you to linger. The staff are very friendly and attentive. If there is a high volume of customers, you have to expect a little waiting time, but that is understandable. There is no dedicated parking space, but there are a few parking bays available nearby, but those who have the opportunity should come on foot or by bike.

Given all the good reviews, I may have just had a bad day but the meat was inedible. The kebab itself was very tasty, so was the bread, sauce, salad, etc. The meat on the skewer was already very little in the kebab then cut into huge chunks and 90% fat, I made a quarter of it, then unfortunately all I had to do was throw it away an option.

Preislich top, 8€ Jumbodöner heutzutage mega gut. Fleisch knusprig, Salat frisch, Soßen lecker und die Jungs sehr nett. Komme gerne wieder.

Der beste Döner in Bochum! Es ist immer wieder eine Freude diesen Laden zu besuchen. Hier wird noch leckerer Kebap gemacht. Selten heutzutage.

Döner war lecker. Aber die Speisen waren meiner Meinung nach zu teuer. Döner mit doppelt Fleisch war kaum gefüllt mit einem Lahmacun mit Falafel haben wir 16,50€ bezahlt.

Der Dürüm mit Kalb war sehr lecker! Auch das selbstgemachte "Fladen" war sehr gut! Der Service war auch sehr freundlich! Sehr gerne wieder! 🤗

Das Essen wird immer teurer. Ich verstehe wenn man die Preise anpassen muss, allerdings nicht mit solchen Wucher Preisen. Dazu war die Qualität auch mal viel besser. Schön viel Salat und wenig Fleisch. War Jahre langer Kunde, ab heute nicht mehr!

Sehr kleiner, gedrungener Laden wenn man drinnen steht oder sitzen möchte. Ich schätze ein Großteil der Kunden ist eher der Mitnehmer oder Sofortesser. Das Essen war super lecker und wurde vor meinen Augen ziemlich Frisch zubereitet.

Beim ersten Besuch war ich sehr beeindruckt vom selbst gemachten Brot, wie dem aus eigener Produktion stammendem Fleisch. Beim zweiten Besuch war das Pita Brot leider nicht mehr selbst gemacht, sondern Standard wie bei jedem anderen Laden auch. Trotzdem ist der Dürüm und Lahmacun sehr zu empfehlen.

Wow das sind die besten Döner-Pizzabrötchen die ich gegessen habe! Super freundliche Mitarbeiter, Essen wird schnell zubereitet und schmeckt top. Danke dafür!

Ich war heute erste Mal dort. Extra aus Bochum Gerthe da hin gefahren. Und der Weg hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Leckeres Fleisch vom selbst gemachten Spieß - nicht diese Tiefkühl Hackfleisch spieße die man sonst überall bekommt. Auch das Fladenbrot ist selbst gebacken, frisch aus dem Ofen mit Sesam. Und natürlich leckeren Salat. Die Typen dort sind echt in Ordnung und arbeiten auch zügig. Dennoch sollte man vorbestellen, weil wohl schon einige mitbekommen haben, dass es dort gut schmeckt. Einzig dass man dort nicht essen kann ist schade. Update 2023: Nach meinem neuerlichen Besuch muss ich leider meine Bewertung nach unten korrigieren. Das Brot wird leider nicht mehr selber gebacken. Fleisch ist nach wie vor hervorragend. Die Knoblauchsauce kommt leider aus dem Großmarkteimer. Mitarbeiter stehen dort in Strassenklamotten > Rollkragenpulli. Jeder 0815 Dönerladen hat Arbeitsklamotten mit Logo. Als Gastronom muss man doch für eine gute Außendarstellung stehen. Bitte werdet nicht so wie alle anderen , noch habt ihr leichten Vorsprung

Bin auf Montage in Bochum und hab logischerweise einige Dönerhäuser ausprobiert. Doch dieses Dönerhaus ist meiner Meinung nach das beste! Super Lecker, Preisgünstig, schnelle Lieferung, Abholung innerhalb der nächsten 10 min möglich und der Chef ist super freundlich! Kann ich nur empfehlen!!

Döner ist okay. Ein Mitarbeiter (groß mit Glatze) heizt aber mit seinem weißen VW komplett geisteskrank durch die Straße. Darauf freundlich angesprochen hieß es: Verzieh dich Junge! Hab ich auch gemacht: Direkt um die Ecke ist My Döner und der schmeckt mindestens genausogut und die Jungs sind freundlich dort.

Kein Döner für das schmale Portmonee, aber für den feinen Gaumen. Zwar ist der Dönerpreis von 4,90€ der höchste den ich bisher mitbekommen habe, jedoch kann man bei der hohen Fleischqualität es absolut nachvollziehen. Ich bin persönlich eher Fan von einem klassischen ¼ Fladenbrot, aber hier hat selbst das Brot gut geschmeckt. Soßen waren alle top. Super belegt und natürlich mega leckeres Dönerfleisch(!)(kein Drehspießerzeugnis o.ä.). Wer einen richtig leckeren Döner in hoher Qualität essen will, kann hier auf jeden Fall vorbei kommen, für den täglichen Snack zwischendurch wäre mir das aber dann doch zu teuer.

Wirklich der mit Abstand beste Döner in ganz Bochum. Ich bin kein Freund dieser im Pott üblichen Döner mit 3 Soßen, hauptsache man schmeckt die schlechte Qualität nicht. Hier bekommt man zwar nicht die großen Portionen, aber dafür schmeckt man die Qualität. Wer einen guten Döner in Bochum sucht, kommt an Wiemelhauser Kebaphaus nicht vorbei!

Ein sehr leckerer Döner! Salat nichts besonderes, aber das Brot und Fleisch ausgezeichnet gut. Brot vielleicht ein wenig zu knusprig, aber nichts schlimmes. Der selbst gemachte Spieß sah sehr wertig aus und hatte einen intensiven Fleischgeschmack. Absolute Empfehlung

Furchtbar! Hygiene ist hier mangelhafte. Wenn man anspricht das das Essen mit den Händen angefasst wird welche vor 10 Sekunden noch Geld angefasst haben, dann wird man auf Türkisch beschimpft. Ständig wird das Essen verschiedener Kunden mit nicht sauberen Händen angefasst. Keiner hat sich in während meines Aufenthalts die Hände gewaschen oder Desinfiziert. Hier zu essen kann ich nicht empfehlen. Diese Rezension reicht nicht um alle Hygiene Verstöße aufzuzählen.

Heute das erste mal hier gewesen :) Döner war super 👍 Top Fleisch Qualität (Kalb) Meine Freundin hatte ein Dürüm mit Hähnchen auch das war Klasse 👌🏻 Die Mitarbeiter waren ebenfalls sehr Nett. Kann man nur empfehlen :)

Nette Jungs und einer der besten Döner in Bochum

Schön öfter da gewesen, Essen ist immer lecker und die Menschen dort sind sehr freundlich. Heute hatte ich ein besonderes Erlebnis: nach dem Bestellen und Abholen der Pommes habe ich mich beim Rausgehen auf der Treppe "langgelegt" und bin schmerzhaft auf den Rücken gefallen, die Pommes flogen in hohem Bogen durch die Gegend. Sofort kamen alle Mitarbeiter des Kebap Hauses heraus, halfen mir hoch, boten mir Wasser an und waren sehr besorgt um meine Gesundheit. Ohne zu Fragen hatte ich auf einmal ein Wasser und eine neue Pommes in den Händen - und man wollte kein Geld dafür haben, auch die Kaffeekasse sei "kaputt", teilte man mir mit einem Lächeln mit. So etwas geschieht heutzutage sehr selten. Mein Kompliment an diese lieben Menschen, die in der aktuellen Krise gezeigt haben, was Menschlichkeit und Miteinander bedeuten. Weiter so! Auf jeden Fall komme ich wieder und wünsche dem Kebap Haus, dass es gut durch diese Krise kommt.

Wer in Bochum guten Döner essen will, sollte sich die Mühe machen, ins Kirchviertel zum Wiemelhauser Kebap Haus zu fahren, denn hier stimmt alles. Sowohl der Hähnchen- als auch der Kalbspieß stammen aus eigener Produktion; Und das schmeckt man auch. Die sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter und die großen Portionen runden das Gesamtbild ab. Das einzige Manko ist der Ruhetag am Samstag.
