A lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. However, if you simply like fried noodles with sweet and sour sauce, this isn't the place for you. For us, the food wasn't quite up to the mark.

Service seemed a bit disorganized, so serving the group wasn't optimal, but the food easily makes up for it 10 out of 10

Hello community, The food is fresh and very good. The service is sometimes odd. They don't seat you or charge you if there are still guests. Otherwise, it would have received full marks. The summer rolls are amazing (not fried). Look forward to a delicious meal in the beautiful garden.

A Vietnamese restaurant attached to the THotel in the north of Leipzig, it features a large terrace and attractive interior. Parking is on a side street. Good food and drink selection, excellent preparation, and the staff ranges from very good to occasionally chaotic. However, it can be recommended with a clear conscience.

It's a very well-maintained hotel with very attentive and friendly staff. The same goes for the restaurant. The food was excellent, and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. Many 4-star hotels could learn a thing or two from this standard! Great, keep it up!

The taste is a mix of vomit and soap. 60 euros for a children's menu and three appetizers, and what it tastes like is pretty impressive.

I love Asian cuisine, especially sushi. This is a fantastic restaurant with modern decor, great service, and a hotel to boot. I've eaten here three times on different days, and every time it's been clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is absolutely fresh and incredibly delicious. The prices are reasonable, not overpriced, and I'm happy to pay a little more for the service, taste, and ambiance. Absolutely thumbs up.

We were there for work with a group of colleagues. We had appetizers, soups, curries, and sushi. Everything was great, delicious, and beautifully prepared.

The food is very good, but the sushi is relatively expensive. The problem with the atmosphere is that when there are a lot of people there, it gets quite loud, which can be quite unpleasant.

WiedNam enjoys a great location overlooking Lake Markkleeberg. It serves delicious sushi, bowls, and more in a modern setting. There's a terrace overlooking the lake.

Sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung und das Essen war hervorragend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist auch in Ordnung. Der Standort ist phantastisch. Ein großer Parkplatz ist auch in der Nähe. Es passt alles. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen. Kommen nach einem erneuten Aufenthalt in Leipzig bestimmt wieder.

Unfortunately this time I had a very disappointing experience. The “Crispy Duck” was tough, fidgety and impossible to chew. We pointed this out to the waiter and he simply recommended that we choose a different selection with a different preparation for duck next time. Goodwill or discount for an inedible meal -> none. Just a “sorry” and “we’ll pass it on to you in the kitchen”. So guests definitely won't come back. Very disappointing!

Das Lokal besuchen wir seit Jahren regelmäßig, was uns jedoch echt vom Hocker gehauen hat waren die Preise, die wirklich stark angezogen haben. Dafür das die Gerichte kaum wechseln, fand ich 8€ plus zum Vorletzten Jahr echt happig. Hinzu kommt, das ich leider auf einem Ohr dann nen Tinnitus hatte weil es sooo extrem laut war. Die Tische sind nicht wirklich geschützt. Trennwände wären hier dringend zu empfehlen. Dieses mal waren wir echt enttäuscht. Der Geräuschpegel war wirklich unerträglich.

A very nice evening! My partner and I really enjoyed the Vietnamese food at this restaurant. The duck with mango sauce and tagliatelle was particularly excellent – ​​tender, aromatic and perfectly prepared. The service was also top. Our waitress Lena was particularly friendly, attentive and always there with a smile. Thanks to her warm manner, we immediately felt welcome. She gave us very good advice and was always present without being intrusive. Employees like this make the visit particularly pleasant. The atmosphere was cozy and stylish. We would love to come back and can only recommend the restaurant!

Great and very chic restaurant in a hotel. The offering ranges from Vietnamese to Thai to Japanese specialties. The sushi, curry and rolls are very tasty. Service is very friendly. There was a 10 percent discount at lunchtime.

For me it was the first time at Vietnamese. The reception was good, but from then on the service was not satisfactory. The waiter who looked after us could hardly understand us and also had severe difficulties with the German language. There was also a strange, tense atmosphere throughout the visit. The food itself wasn't my thing, but it was still okay. I was more shocked by the price, which is why I only ended up with 3 stars. But the ambience was very refreshing and new-fangled, as well as typically designed, so there's nothing to complain about. All in all, I would recommend it for guests who are willing to pay significantly more for their food and who enjoy Vietnamese food.

We had a variety of different dishes and everyone said their food was great. It is slightly on the expensive side.

Went there today for the first and definitely the last time (it was very full) and we had to wait almost 2 hours for the starter and we were almost ready to leave. After asking several times, we finally got our starter and the main course and then twice with the wrong side dish. There was no apology from the waiter, after we asked at the counter we were given a meal and drinks on the house. It was very disappointing.

Can't understand the reviews: the emphasis here is on ambience and service, but not on taste. Pho tastes like absolutely nothing, "grilled" zander fillet was warmed and soggy, with way too much soy sauce - probably for it to taste anything at all. Definitely not authentic either - anyone who has ever been to Vietnam will notice. ...but very expensive, price/performance doesn't fit at all. Except for the ambience.

We were here for lunch today and left the restaurant absolutely thrilled and would therefore be happy to come back. The dishes are prepared with fresh, crunchy salad and vegetables, no ready-made sauces are served, you can see the spices and fresh herbs in them and, above all, you can taste that everything is made with a lot of skill and attention to detail. The service was also very nice and accommodating. At lunchtime it was relatively quiet in the restaurant, the atmosphere was very cozy, everything was very clean and nicely decorated. There is just one small note: For vegetarians and vegans, the menu could certainly be expanded without major changes!

For a good meal, I can recommend Wied Nam to everyone. Very attentive staff, friendly and very warm.

The food was good, but the service was poor. Drinks were served unopened, even to the children. Plates weren't cleared while you were still eating. This isn't appropriate for the high prices.

Update: Yesterday and today were the third and fourth visits. Yes! The Barbary duck is absolutely worth the €3 surcharge! Wonderful, beautiful, delicious! Take a look at the pictures. Today, roast beef. Very tasty! The ambiance has become a bit nicer; the fabric-covered room dividers reduce noise and create a more intimate atmosphere. The service still has potential. Many thanks to the manager for our friendly conversation. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. ... Today was the second visit. The first visit a few months ago was flawless. One "waiter" was grumpy, but his colleagues more than made up for it. The food was perfect! That's probably just his personal style and no offense intended... but friendly would definitely work. Today, the wonton was wonderful, the main course of crispy duck was not good. Plain, fatty meat. A shame. If I'd known, I would have gladly spent 2 euros more on Barbary breast. Unfortunately, the service today was mostly preoccupied with itself. There were enough staff, but it's the guest who pays, not the cell phone or the colleague being spoken to. So: huge potential if the mood is right. Everything else is great, as everyone who comes regularly will know. A tip for "management": keep your eyes open and train your staff to stay focused on the guests. Highly recommended!

We had Valentine's Day dinner at Wiednam today and were once again very impressed. Great food at reasonable prices. Beautiful dishes and superb presentation. It was busy today, but everything was still fresh, hot, delicious, and served in a timely and friendly manner. We'll be back.

Beautiful, modern restaurant. We held a celebration there. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous! The prices were a bit high, but the quality and quantity were not compromised! The restaurant also has its own hotel, which is a very positive feature. The rooms are modern and very clean. However, there is limited storage space, for example, in the bathroom or in the room (there are no wardrobes). The breakfast buffet offers a decent selection! There are plenty of parking spaces, even in the evenings when guests arrive for dinner and not overnight. All in all, the restaurant and hotel are highly recommended, especially for events at the Leipzig Trade Fair, seminars, or celebrations in the restaurant, etc.

Da wir in diesem Restaurant bisher gute Erfahrungen gemacht haben, nachdem wir Sushi mitgenommen haben, war die Enttäuschung heute doppelt groß. Wir haben uns entschieden, im Restaurant zu essen. Der Service und auch das Essen waren bis dahin gut. Nur hatte ich Sushi welches in Panade gebacken war. Leider vertrage ich die Panade nicht, habe sie nicht gegessen und das Personal darauf angesprochen. Man hat mich aber gar nicht richtig ernst genommen, sich auch nicht entschuldigt. Ich habe dann beim bestellen der Rechnung gefragt, ob man was machen könne beim Preis, da ich ja etwas anderes bestellt habe. Es wurde sich auch da nicht entschuldigt oder man hat sich bedankt als wir gezahlt haben. Der junge Mann kam mir recht arrogant. Ich habe viele Jahre in der Gastronomie gearbeitet und bin echt sehr enttäuscht. Wir haben 10 Prozent Rabatt auf mein Essen bekommen, das ok. Ich möchte bestimmt nichts geschenkt. Aber ich denke, eine Entschuldigung wäre angebracht und nicht diese Art und Weise des Kollegen.

We've had a very good meal here, even though we booked a table by phone and were turned away an hour before it was time to close. Unfortunately I can't recommend it, we're not coming for the hotel or the restaurant. No recommendation!

Overall, highly recommended. When the restaurant gets crowded, the noise level becomes unpleasant. Children over 2 years old should bring a booster seat, as only cushions are available. The restrooms lacked a child-friendly seat. The friendliness and speed of the service are particularly commendable. The vegetable content of some dishes was significantly understated for no apparent reason.

Absolutely recommended! We went to Wied Nam with friends this evening and were thrilled. The service was extremely charming, the food was excellent and the price-performance ratio was absolutely fine. We were particularly impressed by the tender duck meat and the delicious red Thai curry sauce. The restaurant offers a great atmosphere and was well attended - a sign of the great quality. Very good restaurant, high-quality and delicious sushi, great menu (not too much, not too little selection), modern atmosphere, good occupancy. Unfortunately, our starter was forgotten, but was delivered immediately after being spoken to. Can happen. For two people we had the sushi platter for two and a small appetizer, both of which were well filled. Reservation recommended. We'll be back.

We had dinner here a few days ago. The restaurant is always busy. And not without reason. The Vietnamese food is really good and came super quickly. The dishes are an eye-catcher and the ambience... really modern. Only the air conditioning and the pipes around it in front of the bar could still use some covering. Then it would be perfect. The food is very fresh and tastes excellent. Today we ordered soup and sushi for 2 people. Overall, we think it's rather expensive for the relatively small amount we received. Even if the quality is right. Compared to the portions others have posted here, there wasn't much that ended up in our bag.
