Ambiente eher najaaa. Aber Essen auf Keramiktellern ( nicht wie so oft auf/ aus Plaste) große Portion zu angemessenem Preis. Rascher, freundlicher Service. War wirklich sehr lecker...

Das Essen und vor allem das Sushi ist top und sehr lecker! Mittlerweile haben sie auch neue Musik laufen :).

Mango Lassi wird abgefüllt aus Joghurtbechern, also billiges Discounter-Zeug. Service auch unterirdisch, man ist hier aber offenbar auf niemanden angewiesen.

Wir waren heute spontan Mittag essen. Wir hatten einmal Reis mit Tofu und Gemüse in Kokossoße (13) und Udonnudeln mit pikanter Soße (11). Pikant war leider etwas scharf, sodass es für uns nicht genießbar war. Die freundliche Bedienung hat dies anstandslos mitgenommen und wir haben ein neue Portion erhalten - sehr lecker und nicht scharf ;) Wir hatten 2 Limonaden, die leider etwas süß dafür aber fruchtig waren.

Netter und freundlicher Service, Essen schmeckt super, Innenraum ist klimatisiert.

Ich habe mir ein mal Karaage bestellt und Gemaicha Tee. Schmeckt super.

Essen und Service sind super, aber könnten Sie bitte die Speisekarte online stellen? *Nachtrag 4 Jahre später: Früher habe ich dieses Restaurant geliebt und war wöchentlich dort essen, aber der Service hat stark nachgelassen und die Preise haben sich fast verdoppelt. Manchmal wird die telefonische Bestellung einfach vergessen, und man wartet ewig, obwohl einem 15 Minuten Wartezeit versprochen wurden. Außerdem wird selbst bei Bestellungen über 20 € nur Bargeld akzeptiert, und der Betrag wird dann ungefragt aufgerundet.

Sehr, sehr leckeres Essen mit frischem Gemüse und Obst. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Im Aussenbereich kann man entweder direkt vor dem Lokal oder auf einer kleinen gemütlichen Terasse sitzen. Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Einziger Nachteil ist, das nur Barzahlung möglich ist.

Die Meeresfrüchte-Bowl war die beste, die ich je gegessen habe! 🤌🏼 So gesund und lecker! Sie hat 18 € gekostet und war jeden Cent wert. Die Portion hätte etwas größer sein können, aber die Zutaten waren erstklassig. Ich werde dieses Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und verspreche, jetzt öfter hierher zu kommen. ❤️

Wir waren immer im Restaurant essen und es war sehr lecker und frisch. Das Ambiente ist toll und der Service freundlich und schnell. Aber heute haben wir bestellt: Pho Suppe, Pho Xao mit Rind, Mi Udon Ca'ri. Die Reisbandnudeln waren eine einzige Matsche in den Pho Gerichten, die Pho Xao komplett versalzen und eigentlich ungenießbar, die Udon waren gerade so an der Grenze. Leider das letzte Mal... vielleicht gibt's noch ein Versuch im Restaurant aber wir sind erstmal absolut abgeschreckt! ----- Ich füge hinzu dass wir heute Summerrolls abgeholt haben und diese waren wie gewohnt 1A

Jetzt kann man wieder draussen sitzen ... schöner freisitz neen dem haus und nicht direkt an der strasse. leckeres essen zu fairen preisen ... da geht man gern noch mal hin. :)

Fast eine Stunde auf die Bestellung gewartet.

Wir essen dort regelmäßig (2 Personen zu unüblichen Zeiten) und es schmeckt jedesmal sehr gut. Die Portionen sind etwas kleiner geworden, aber noch voll im Rahmen. Für eine Mahlzeit mit Vorspeise und Getränken zahlen wir regelmäßig etwas 50,-. Gestern erhielten wir unser Essen sehr schnell. Bei nur einer Servicekraft war trotzdem alles korrekt und die Kommunikation sehr freundlich. Nun kann man auch wieder mit EC-Karte bezahlen. Das Ambiente gefällt mir persönlich sehr gut und erinnert mich an traditionelle Straßen-Restaurants in Südostasien. Der Freisitz wurde über die Jahre kontinuierlich erweitert. Ganz früher war dort Mal die Fleischerei Haeder.

Schön eingerichtetes Café. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Café und Kuchen waren auch lecker. Wir kommen nochmal wieder um das herzhafte zu probieren. Die Katzen waren sehr faul und inaktiv aber das ist halt das Risiko 😜

Ich war sehr beeindruckt! In einer Stadt mit so vielen vietnamesischen Restaurants ist es sicher nicht einfach, sich abzuheben, aber mein Besuch hat mir wirklich gut gefallen. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und bietet eine große Auswahl, und jetzt gibt es auch Sushi. Samstagsmittag war es etwas voll, aber der Service war trotzdem aufmerksam und freundlich.

Die einzige Servicekraft bei einem vollen Laden war sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Essen hat ganz okay geschmeckt. Leider war es sehr kalt und ungemütlich im Laden und wir konnten nur in Winterjacke dort sitzen. Wir saßen zwischen Küche und Toilette. Das Küchenpersonal war zwischendrin auf dem Klo und hat sich die Hände nicht gewaschen danach. Das war nicht schön mitzubekommen. Der Raum zum Waschbecken stand offen, sodass man es gut sehen konnte.

War zum Mittagessen dort und hatte das Fischbowl Menü. War richtig frisch und lecker.

Über Wolt bestellt: Mit dem hohen Preis waren wir einverstanden, da wir Qualität erwartet haben. Bedauerlicherweise roch das Sushi sehr streng - es war schlecht, bei der Verkostung stellte es sich als ungenießbar heraus. Zusammenfassend: wenig Suhi, teuer und ungenießbar - schade, es ist nicht zu empfehlen bei Ca Phao Shusi zu essen

Die Qualität des Essenangebotes hat leider abgebaut. Oder meine Geschmacksnerven haben sich mit dem Alter verfeinert, kann auch sein. Hier noch die erste, etwas ältere Kritik: Sehr freundliche Bewirtung und gute Pho Suppe. Im Corona Kriesen Modus sehr genaue Zeitangabe, wann man sich die Menüs abholen kann.

Wir bestellten Bun Cha (gegrilltes Schweinefleisch mit Reisnudeln), bekamen aber nur Fleisch. Der Besitzer informierte uns nicht darüber und erwähnte auch nichts, obwohl es das teuerste Gericht war. Wir waren zu viert und hatten recht viel bestellt. Das Essen war okay, aber nichts Besonderes; Gemüse und Dip waren alle gleich. Insgesamt war es nicht beeindruckend.

I've rarely eaten so badly. I can't comment on the service since we ordered takeout. The chicken was like processed meat, the beef was just okay. The sauces were very bland. What a shame. The wontons and spring rolls were alright.

Scammers! I ordered a beef pho bo from Wolt, but they made it with tofu instead and cheated me out of €3.60. The delivery was correct – the scam came from the restaurant. Stay away from these robbers!

It was our first time eating there, and it was spontaneous, with five of us. It's certainly not a given that it always works out like this, so let's start by saying something positive. The ambiance wasn't great; it was quite dusty, with a few cobwebs hanging around. Overall, though, it was pleasant, just not all that "fresh." Unfortunately, it took over half an hour from the time we ordered for our food to arrive (until the starter!), which was quite long, and we're usually used to it being served much quicker. The staff, however, were always very polite and accommodating. There's not much to say about the food itself (except for the sushi, which we didn't try), but it was delicious, and it's definitely not the one super-delicious Vietnamese restaurant in Leipzig; there's plenty of competition. All in all, not a bad visit, although I doubt I'd eat here a second time, given the many options.

We waited over an hour and a quarter and were ignored by all the waiters. When we finally paid for our drinks and wanted to leave, we were told there was a problem with the food... It would have been okay if a waiter had just come over at some point and told us. At least they waived the price of our drinks as a gesture of goodwill.

The food was prepared and served quickly. The taste was absolutely fine, but unfortunately, it felt more like any other Vietnamese restaurant. At least, in addition to the "Asian restaurant classics," there was also a selection of Vietnamese dishes, which were also very tasty. Unfortunately, I got the impression that, as is often the case, the attempt is made to have the broadest possible menu, rather than a clear profile.

This was once our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Since then, the quality has declined (today's pho was very bland and the noodles were in lumps in the bowl), the prices have risen dramatically, and due to the size, the service is poor and the atmosphere is ruined. A real shame.

I ordered here and received the completely wrong dish. The food was cold, not packaged securely for transport, and completely leaked from the bag – unappetizing and unhygienic. Clearly, neither care nor quality is taken here. For a restaurant, this is a clear failure in service and organization. No apology, no feedback – simply a bad experience. Definitely not a recommendation. Anyone who fails at such basic things should urgently rethink their processes.

Bun Cha La Lot is my favorite dish 🥰 we are never disappointed and love visiting here.

Fresh vegetables, plentiful, good portions, well seasoned, outdoor seating

Four of us went to Ca Phao – super friendly service, a lovely atmosphere, and the food was a dream! Fresh, aromatic, and beautifully presented. The pho and summer rolls were a particular highlight. The vegetarian options were also excellent. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere!

Fab place but seems that they have fazed out paying by Card 😔so bye bye.....

Great food, service is always a disaster...

A nice little restaurant, right on the Karli. The menu says they want to give guests an understanding of the diversity of Vietnamese street food. This goal is achieved, which makes you want to visit Vietnam. It wasn't the first time we were there, definitely not the last time.

I ordered delicious crispy duck with sweet and sour sauce and a dark beer. A dish with a distinctive taste, very good. I recommend.

Food was delicious and it didn't take long to be served! Unfortunately, the dishes are not available in small portions for children. The waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed at times, perhaps he was just getting started.

Good presentation of the food and tasty. Staff was really helpful, but kept a bit waiting even though it was pretty empty. Pho cap were a bit bland and could've used more herbs/spice.

The "traditional" food (Phò) was very tasty and plentiful. The other dishes not so much. The ambience is pleasant. We were there for the LBM and it was very crowded, so we had to wait an incredibly long time for our food. Nevertheless, it was a very nice evening.

The restaurant offers the "familiar" ambience of current combination restaurants offering both Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine. The food is prepared fresh and tasty and comes to the table quickly. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Very fast, very quiet and simply incredibly delicious

These are small restaurants with delicious homemade cuisine. We've tried both sides, and today we visited the Vietnamese side... as always, crisp and fresh and truly phenomenal in taste. I highly recommend both the sushi and the Vietnamese food.

It was the first time at CÀ PHÁO, but by no means the last time. 😊 Great food and friendly owner. Were absolutely satisfied. There are just no seating options with backrests. We'll be back.

They could have apologized first, perhaps ASKED me to contact them directly in the future, and ideally offered me a voucher for my next order. And instead comes a mixture of demands and accusations, as if I were the bad one. And even the insinuation that negative reviews are being compulsorily removed!!! In fact, they tried! But Google proved me right ;) You want me to call you instead of writing a review? For what? I ordered two of them. Both without sauce. Why should I assume it's not what they always do? Why should I call and have something prepared and delivered again when we are hungry and have to go out? And most importantly, WHY should I not only get something like this, but also have to worry about how the owner will react if I give his restaurant a negative review? Simply AMAZING. Here is the original review: First and last time ordered here! The picture at Wolt shows a plate full of a nice, generous, creamy curry sauce, with a bit of rice on the side. The description also says: "in a creamy curry sauce. Rice as a side dish". Arrived: ZERO POINT ZERO sauce, not "just a little" but nothing at all. Instead, lots and lots of rice, which maybe maybe had a tiny bit of sauce on it "as a side dish", which was absorbed into the rice on the way to me, so that you get dog food: overcooked sticky rice, mixed with something so that it has at least a little taste. 1. Buy better containers! 2. Otherwise at least write it CLEARLY and show it in the picture so you know what to expect! The selection of vegetables is also quite sad, looking more like frozen pre-cut vegetables, with wavy carrots etc. Extremely disappointing... ...that we don't have a dog that can eat something like that!

I really enjoy eating Asian cuisine. It was perfectly prepared here. I was very positively surprised. I have rarely eaten such good Asian food. Prices are also very reasonable. 4 people with starters and drinks €85. Highly recommended.

I think the food is very good, there are also vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. Sometimes you have to wait quite a long time for staff to come to the table. In summer you can sit on the terrace. It's not a bargain, but the prices are okay. I prefer to eat locally, when I ordered it was usually a bit soggy and only lukewarm due to the transport.

We usually order here, but I have also eaten in front of Orr on a few occasions. Everything I've eaten there so far has been top-notch and had something unique that no Asian could have before. It tastes great and I can't say anything bad about it. The service there was always very friendly and they always checked regularly to make sure everything was OK. The restaurant itself is a bit cramped, but still nicely decorated overall. In terms of price-performance ratio, for me it's probably the best Asian restaurant in Leipzig

I went here for dinner with a friend. The ambience is nice. The food is extremely good, tasty and at an acceptable price. Even though it wasn't that busy, we had to remind the waitress to order our drinks.

We had food delivered to us via Wolt from the restaurant and unfortunately the food seemed to have fallen down on the doorstep. However, we received the food without sauce and cold. We were very outraged at first, but an hour later we spontaneously received the same dishes again without asking. We thought it was really great and the food was very tasty.

I ordered food, I found the prices excessive for average food. It arrived cold, but the restaurant can't help that. The sushi was tasty, but fell apart, every single piece. The coconut soup had few vegetables, but a lot of hard herbs that you don't want to eat.

This is a lovely place situated by the main road. It's very cosy and nice! The food was great. The Pho came in a huge bowl, and the other dishes looked great too! It was very tasty. They had a great selection of dishes, both meat and vegan. At the time of writing, they did not have a vegetarian option for the broth of the Pho. They did have an option to serve the Pho with tofu, though. A word of warning! Again, at the time of writing, you could only pay by card if you spent more than 20€. Not that big of a deal when in a group. There is a small sign on the door and the waitress mentioned it as well. The staff was great and ordering in english was no problem!
