I've been there many times and have never been disappointed. Very good food!

The food was prepared and served quickly. The taste was absolutely fine, but unfortunately, it felt more like any other Vietnamese restaurant. At least, in addition to the "Asian restaurant classics," there was also a selection of Vietnamese dishes, which were also very tasty. Unfortunately, I got the impression that, as is often the case, the attempt is made to have the broadest possible menu, rather than a clear profile.

Very tasty food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. The food arrived quickly and was truly delicious. It was also pleasing to the eye. The prices were absolutely reasonable. I'd be happy to come back.

This was once our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Since then, the quality has declined (today's pho was very bland and the noodles were in lumps in the bowl), the prices have risen dramatically, and due to the size, the service is poor and the atmosphere is ruined. A real shame.

I ordered here and received the completely wrong dish. The food was cold, not packaged securely for transport, and completely leaked from the bag – unappetizing and unhygienic. Clearly, neither care nor quality is taken here. For a restaurant, this is a clear failure in service and organization. No apology, no feedback – simply a bad experience. Definitely not a recommendation. Anyone who fails at such basic things should urgently rethink their processes.

Very tasty food, already prepared. Great value for money. Nice beer garden, a bit noisy on the street, but it's fine!

Bun Cha La Lot is my favorite dish 🥰 we are never disappointed and love visiting here.

Fresh vegetables, plentiful, good portions, well seasoned, outdoor seating

Four of us went to Ca Phao – super friendly service, a lovely atmosphere, and the food was a dream! Fresh, aromatic, and beautifully presented. The pho and summer rolls were a particular highlight. The vegetarian options were also excellent. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere!

Fab place but seems that they have fazed out paying by Card 😔so bye bye.....

Great food, service is always a disaster...

A nice little restaurant, right on the Karli. The menu says they want to give guests an understanding of the diversity of Vietnamese street food. This goal is achieved, which makes you want to visit Vietnam. It wasn't the first time we were there, definitely not the last time.

Good Vietnamese food, but could be a little more authentic and spicier :) Very nice service, we felt absolutely comfortable!

Very tasty food in the restaurant. Great mango sauce. The taste of this sauce stayed with me for a long time. I would happily eat at this place again. I can confidently recommend it to anyone who likes Vietnamese food.

I ordered delicious crispy duck with sweet and sour sauce and a dark beer. A dish with a distinctive taste, very good. I recommend.

Food was delicious and it didn't take long to be served! Unfortunately, the dishes are not available in small portions for children. The waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed at times, perhaps he was just getting started.

The food was very good, we ordered it at the hotel, and the delivery was friendly and on time, but I think the price was very high.

Good presentation of the food and tasty. Staff was really helpful, but kept a bit waiting even though it was pretty empty. Pho cap were a bit bland and could've used more herbs/spice.

The "traditional" food (Phò) was very tasty and plentiful. The other dishes not so much. The ambience is pleasant. We were there for the LBM and it was very crowded, so we had to wait an incredibly long time for our food. Nevertheless, it was a very nice evening.

The restaurant offers the "familiar" ambience of current combination restaurants offering both Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine. The food is prepared fresh and tasty and comes to the table quickly. The staff is friendly and attentive.

The food and especially the sushi is top and very tasty! However, the music is HORRIBLE, I go there to eat and not to cry😭

These are small restaurants with delicious homemade cuisine. We've tried both sides, and today we visited the Vietnamese side... as always, crisp and fresh and truly phenomenal in taste. I highly recommend both the sushi and the Vietnamese food.

It was the first time at CÀ PHÁO, but by no means the last time. 😊 Great food and friendly owner. Were absolutely satisfied. There are just no seating options with backrests. We'll be back.

Edit after their answer here: (Edit2: they deleted the answer) INCREDIBLE! THESE PEOPLE EVEN HAD THE COURAGE OF TELLING ME WHAT TO DO AFTER THEY DELIVERED ME DOG MEAL! They could have apologized first, perhaps ASKED me to contact them directly in the future, and ideally offered me a voucher for my next order. And instead comes a mixture of demands and accusations, as if I were the bad one. And even the insinuation that negative reviews are being compulsorily removed!!! In fact, they tried! But Google proved me right ;) You want me to call you instead of writing a review? For what? I ordered two of them. Both without sauce. Why should I assume it's not what they always do? Why should I call and have something prepared and delivered again when we are hungry and have to go out? And most importantly, WHY should I not only get something like this, but also have to worry about how the owner will react if I give his restaurant a negative review? Simply AMAZING. Here is the original review: First and last time ordered here! The picture at Wolt shows a plate full of a nice, generous, creamy curry sauce, with a bit of rice on the side. The description also says: "in a creamy curry sauce. Rice as a side dish". Arrived: ZERO POINT ZERO sauce, not "just a little" but nothing at all. Instead, lots and lots of rice, which maybe maybe had a tiny bit of sauce on it "as a side dish", which was absorbed into the rice on the way to me, so that you get dog food: overcooked sticky rice, mixed with something so that it has at least a little taste. 1. Buy better containers! 2. Otherwise at least write it CLEARLY and show it in the picture so you know what to expect! The selection of vegetables is also quite sad, looking more like frozen pre-cut vegetables, with wavy carrots etc. Extremely disappointing... ...that we don't have a dog that can eat something like that!

I really enjoy eating Asian cuisine. It was perfectly prepared here. I was very positively surprised. I have rarely eaten such good Asian food. Prices are also very reasonable. 4 people with starters and drinks €85. Highly recommended.

I think the food is very good, there are also vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. Sometimes you have to wait quite a long time for staff to come to the table. In summer you can sit on the terrace. It's not a bargain, but the prices are okay. I prefer to eat locally, when I ordered it was usually a bit soggy and only lukewarm due to the transport.

food is ok, but pricy. bun cha was decent, the spring rolls weren‘t vietnamese but the typical take out-egg rolls.

We usually order here, but I have also eaten in front of Orr on a few occasions. Everything I've eaten there so far has been top-notch and had something unique that no Asian could have before. It tastes great and I can't say anything bad about it. The service there was always very friendly and they always checked regularly to make sure everything was OK. The restaurant itself is a bit cramped, but still nicely decorated overall. In terms of price-performance ratio, for me it's probably the best Asian restaurant in Leipzig

I went here for dinner with a friend. The ambience is nice. The food is extremely good, tasty and at an acceptable price. Even though it wasn't that busy, we had to remind the waitress to order our drinks.

We had food delivered to us via Wolt from the restaurant and unfortunately the food seemed to have fallen down on the doorstep. However, we received the food without sauce and cold. We were very outraged at first, but an hour later we spontaneously received the same dishes again without asking. We thought it was really great and the food was very tasty.

I ordered food, I found the prices excessive for average food. It arrived cold, but the restaurant can't help that. The sushi was tasty, but fell apart, every single piece. The coconut soup had few vegetables, but a lot of hard herbs that you don't want to eat.

This is a lovely place situated by the main road. It's very cosy and nice! The food was great. The Pho came in a huge bowl, and the other dishes looked great too! It was very tasty. They had a great selection of dishes, both meat and vegan. At the time of writing, they did not have a vegetarian option for the broth of the Pho. They did have an option to serve the Pho with tofu, though. A word of warning! Again, at the time of writing, you could only pay by card if you spent more than 20€. Not that big of a deal when in a group. There is a small sign on the door and the waitress mentioned it as well. The staff was great and ordering in english was no problem!

Food and service is great but could you please put the menu online? *edit 4 years later: I used to love this place and eat there weekly but the service has gone downhill and the prices have nearly doubled. Sometimes they clearly forget your phone order and you sit around waiting for them to make it after being quoted 15mins. They also only want cash even on orders over 20€ and then round up the bill without asking.

Top address. For good reviews you also get a free drink on the house.

Our German friend recommended this place, and it did NOT disappoint. I got the yellow coconut curry, and it was so incredibly flavorful. My friend got the glass noodle salad, and it was so fresh, crisp and delicious. The service was fast, and the portions were generous. Would definitely come again. To the amazing server we stiffed: I’m so sorry, it was my husbands first day in Germany. He had heard that it wasn’t culturally appropriate to tip at a restaurant. Our German friend corrected him. You were amazing 💜you deserve a five star review.

Delicious food, absolutely standard prices 2 menus; 1x Vietnamese, 1x Japanese (especially sushi) - there's something for everyone, there are definitely the typical dishes :) Also lots of vegetarian and vegan options ^^ Service was very nice and despite being very busy, the food came quickly There are seats on the side wall outside, so you're even somewhat protected from the tram The chairs inside are stools without backrests, which takes away from the comfort Only one toilet but very clean (For food in photo + mango lassi 38€)

Very tasty bowls, drinks, soups and everything

Food super tasty. You can sit on the street or on the terrace, service is quick and friendly. If you want, you can also sit inside if there are free spaces.

Avoid! Really bad food and service was extremely poor. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks, until I went to the bar and took the drinks by myself, after asking the waiter. Then, we took WanTan, udon noodles and chikcen glass noodles that the first two was uneatable - one of the worst I had. The glass noodles was also bad. Really disappointing.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. As a Vietnamese woman, I was absolutely satisfied with the dishes and drinks, even though I'm usually very picky about food. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Fantastic place. The food is delicious the staff are very friendly and we received our food fast. Eaten here several times and was always happy. If your not sure what to get try the mango peanut curry with crispy chicken.
