What a Treat Friedrichshain Restaurant-Berlin in Berlin

Truly fantastic, friendly service. The breakfast is so delicious, no matter which one we chose over the two days! Freshly squeezed juices, first-class coffee that really wakes you up, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables; simply a dream. And even though the place was really busy, we weren't turned away. We'll be back, for sure!

I ordered brunch for €40 and was very disappointed. The eggs Benedict were cold, and the bread was soggy and mushy. The fries were only half a portion and equally cold. The Strawberry Twister was one of the most disgusting milkshakes I've ever had. The only good thing was the orange juice.

Small but nice restaurant. A really good breakfast. The coffee and espresso are also very good. If you don't find anything here, it's your own fault. The owner is super friendly, and you can have a chat with him. If my wife and I ever stay in the Berlin area again, we'll definitely come back for breakfast.

Had the avocado toast, it was just okay. Kind of plain. The inside is also alright, nothing special.

A typical alternative, left-leaning Friedrichshain café. Very good banana bread and coffee. The staff might only speak English (I ordered in German and received an answer in English, which I was confused about). They serve free tap water, which I think is great! It should be like that everywhere. The furniture outside was very simple.

Amazing breakfast variety! You’ll most likely find something you fancy. We got oatmeal and pancakes, and it was great. Service is good and fast, and we really enjoyed watching Berlin from our street seating.

The food is okay, but it's sooo overpriced. My blueberry pancakes were a joke for the money; every dish was way too overpriced. Not to mention that all the 5-star reviews are very similar and definitely not authentic.

Awesome food and coffee for a fair price

bad experience. i had a reservation and the staff didn’t know about it so we had to wait 20 minutes to get in. then we waited about 20 min till the waiter noticed us and brought the menu. he wasn’t polite or friendly. the food was great but the service sucked.

Wow. I'm utterly amazed by the extremely slow and bad services of this restaurant. We waited one hour to get our order. In the mean time, they prioritized customers who came in after us. The food was bland and made with neither passion nor love. Bad café.

Excellent service, the food is all delicious except for the pancakes, which lack flavor, but it's a place I would definitely return to. In fact, I had several more during my stay. As for the service, it's extraordinary from the entire staff; you can feel this warm welcome from everyone who greets you.

I don't write horrible reviews often but the Eggs Benedict here was TRULY AWFUL, I had a bite and couldn't even finish the food and left 90% of it on the plate. Just paid and left the restaurant as soon as I could. The bread used was awful and the sauce simply tasted disgusting - I went because of the high reviews but I was majorly disaapointed

The food was super tasty, very fresh, high quality and a large selection. Gluten-free or lactose-free wasn't a problem either. You could order everything in a gluten-free version. Thank you very much for this opportunity 🙏🏼 Service was also very nice. We'd love to come back!

The food is great and I like to order from there a lot. Upon trying to visit the location to have breakfast there I found out they don't have a toilet however. How are you expecting people to sit and drink coffee and eat breakfast with no toilet available?

It’s still very tasty but you’ll be sitting near busy street, so expect noisy environment. Prices are now same as everywhere else.

It was supposed to be delivered at 10am but it is now almost 2 hours late. The store doesn't care and shifts responsibility. You can contact the delivery driver and explain to me why it's taking so long, but they don't. They also don't accept cancellation and stop answering my calls. Disgraceful service! Outrageous! I didn't get anything!

We ordered pancakes and scrambled eggs, both were delicious. I particularly enjoyed their hummus which was served with scrambled eggs. Flat white was great too. Will definitely recommend this place if you are in the neighborhood

Very simple little shop with very nice staff, rnb music from the 90s/2000s. There isn't a toilet so it's better to go first! However, if you ask nicely, you can use the personal toilet if necessary. The food arrived quite quickly and met our expectations! 🙏 see you soon

❗️6/5 stars❗️ I was in Berlin for a short vacation and had breakfast here 4 days in a row. The ingredients were always fresh, the serving was artistic and the entertainment was great! The boss and the cooks are very friendly and are happy to respond to individual requests. Although the space is small, you feel very comfortable there :) So if you want to eat tasty, healthy, quick and cheap, you should definitely try this place! Even the coffee and desserts are better than any bakery! ❤️

Just wow, Best breakfast I've had in the last 8 years, service super friendly, I had the farmer's omelet and my wife had the American treat, which went to my aunts and the preparation wasn't finished like at home, everything was really perfect, fresh and delicious, I wish I had it in Cologne.

“What a Treat” impresses with a breakfast experience in a class of its own! The Istanbul breakfast impressed with creamy hummus and fluffy bread – a taste explosion. The avocado bagel with egg was perfectly prepared, fresh and aromatic, while the blueberry pancakes were the highlight with their fluffy consistency and fruity topping. The freshly squeezed juices and fresh mint tea rounded off the breakfast wonderfully. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make the café a real insider tip in Friedrichshain. Absolutely recommended!

What a great cafe! Here you get a huge selection of great food at fair prices (the Middle East Treat is particularly good). In addition to the good food, there is a relaxed atmosphere with very nice staff. Absolute recommendation. 10/10 ⭐️
