Westside Café & Restaurant in Frankfurt am Main

My friends and I (a group of four) visited this restaurant on a Saturday noon. It wasn’t too crowded, and the environment was great. The window view overlooked a football field where kids were playing, which added a lively touch to our meal. We ordered seafood pasta and salmon pasta, both of which were delicious and generously portioned. The service was also excellent—the staff member might not have been very fluent in German, but he made a great effort to communicate with us. This is definitely a restaurant worth recommending in this community.

Prices are way too expensive, pizza prices are rather outrageous. Doesn't correspond to the service.

The restaurant looked promising, but I was disappointed by the rude service and poor food

I have been paying attention to this Italian restaurant since the epidemic. I passed by it countless times, and after delaying it for at least half a year, it finally opened its doors. I live nearby, so I often eat at Branche for lunch, dinner and lunch. However, Branche only opens at 11:30. I have never eaten at Branche because it is too late. Although I really want to try it, it would be great if it opened earlier... The dishes on the menu are almost unbeatable, except for the signature dish West Side 🦐. I don’t recommend the pasta. There are only three 🦐 with head, tail, and internal organs. The price/performance ratio is really not high and the price is a bit expensive. I go to eat with friends, and they will occasionally give you a small drink of Limoncello after the meal. The service attitude has always been very good, but it has declined slightly since last year... Now there is almost a new waiter face every time I go to eat. If you want to eat both 🍕 and 🍝 noodles, it is recommended to order the Kind Potion because the portion is usually large and you can’t finish it... The autumn pumpkin soup is also delicious and the price is very friendly. I am already looking forward to this autumn😊 The dining environment of the restaurant is very good, and I like the tableware here🫶🏼

I always enjoy going there and so does the rest of my family

We eat there every now and then. The employees were always friendly and helpful. The pizzas are very tasty, but I can't recommend the pasta dishes. I think the open kitchen is nice. In principle, I think the prices are pretty steep, so we only go there on special occasions.

Unfortunately, Uber delivered the order incorrectly. After a short consultation with the restaurant (because Uber was not available), I was offered a free delivery. Instead of just the wrong item, the restaurant remade the entire order. Rarely have I experienced such service, especially because the fault was with uber and not with the restaurant. Thank you for the goodwill and the excellent food.

Essen kann ich nicht bewerten. Went off the highway to test the restaurant. Mit Hund wurden wir raus komplementiert. Obwohl der Laden leer war, ist's ein No Go!! There was nothing on the internet or a sign on the restaurant. The restaurant is also equipped with a camera in the dining room. I find it strange and does not comply with data protection regulations. AG Hamburg 2008 tenor The defendant is prohibited from monitoring the customer areas in its branches in Hamburg, which are equipped with tables and seating, with video cameras if they avoid a fine of up to 250,000.00 euros for each case of violation, or alternatively, administrative detention of up to 6 months or administrative detention.

A solid Italian restaurant with delicious and well-topped pizzas from the wood-fired oven. Great attention is paid to cleanliness here!

Birthday. I'll let it rip. Ordered a main course with black truffles for just under €40. What the hell is it a birthday? However, the dish came without truffles. Served without comment by the colonel. Demand from me. Truffles are all. But mushroom cream sauce would still be there. At the same price. No thanks. The expensive truffleless dish is going back. Ordered arugula salad. Served quickly. But that's all, no further positive impressions of the salad. Ruccola partly yellowed, partly wilted, partly already slimy. I would dispose of such a raw material at home. The salad is also on the decline. Mr. Colonel doesn't let himself be unsettled: "You're a bit unlucky today. It'll definitely be better next time." Well then... I don't know if I would risk it next time... but I do. I'd rather go somewhere else.

We celebrated our New Year's Eve party here in 2023 and will be there again tomorrow. Good wines, top food, we are looking forward to celebrating here again.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was anything but pleasant. The service was unfriendly and seemed annoyed, even with simple questions about food. The food also left a lot to be desired - the quality did not correspond to the price level. What was particularly disappointing was that criticism was not addressed and we were left with the feeling that we were unwanted. It's a shame, we were looking forward to a nice evening. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Very nice restaurant in the new Riedberg development area. Inside, the restaurant is modern, yet cozy. There is also a spacious outdoor area. The food is very good and the service is friendly and attentive. Price performance is okay, everything is getting more expensive everywhere. Highly recommended. I almost forgot, the pizza is crispy, very tasty and fills you up well.

It's getting better and better, today we had bruschetta, pizza Napoli + Caesar salad with chicken as the main course, everything was delicious! Tiramisu at the end was also our taste + nice to look at :)

The waitresses are nice, the location is very nice. What bothered me the most were the very expensive prices. Almost 20€ for tagliatelle with salmon, which wasn't great in terms of taste, is a bit cheeky. The portion size isn't particularly large either. When I wanted to order a starter with it, I almost fell off my chair, 2 bruscetta for almost €8 and the other starters were similarly priced. The Margherita there was ok in terms of taste and price. I really wouldn't recommend the tagliatelle with salmon to anyone here, at least for this price. Another nice thing is the free pieces of bread with olives that are served before the meal.

Only visited this restaurant once so far but the food and service were very good. Colourful restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Plenty of vegetarian options.

We were pleasantly surprised: the guest room is modern yet comfortably furnished, the large window front offers a clear view of the Kätcheslachpark. The armchairs and benches are comfortable and clean, and the bright ambience is inviting. When the weather is good you can also sit outside under numerous umbrellas. The kitchen is open, and the pizza oven is particularly striking; We didn't notice any smells. The menu offers a colorful mix of pizza, pasta, meat dishes and salads, as well as various starters and cakes. Our food tasted good, our service was friendly and prompt, we felt welcome. Price-performance is completely acceptable for Frankfurt standards, a pizza costs a good €10 and a bottle of water costs less than €6. The toilets are clean and well maintained. Parking could be difficult in the evening in the residential area, there is no parking garage or reserved parking spaces -> it is better to take the subway (Uni Campus Riedberg).

Dogs are not allowed, so I won't go there with you for that reason alone, so I took hot chocolate to go and it was just warm milk and didn't taste even remotely like cocoa.

I stopped by to have a cup of coffee. Most of the indoor tables were reserved, so I sat at a table outside, but I had to change my seat because of the smell of cigarette smoke. People with no sense of common sense who smoke even though there are children next to them. The coffee taste is too bland. The staff service attitude is good.

Ate very tasty penne al forno and a small salad, both of which were convincing. Thoroughly recommended, we'll be back.

The food took an hour to arrive even though the shop was empty. We don't even want to start talking about the employees, very unfriendly service and poor service. We don't even want to start with the price-performance ratio, the prices are too much for the portions you get.

A very nice cafe. We ordered pizzas for the children. Inexpensive and really delicious, fresh from the wood oven. The cakes on offer look very tasty and the pieces are larger than expected. Great service, great food! All in all, a very nice visit and it won't be the last!

A beautiful location from the outside. However, the service was unfortunately subpar and the waitress was very unfriendly to most of the guests. In addition, the service was significantly understaffed in terms of seating. We had to wait a really long time for our coffee and cake because the order was lost. When the coffee and cake finally arrived, the milk tasted like dish soap and the cappuccino was only lukewarm. The cake was ok, but definitely bought and not freshly made. In addition, the prices are totally overpriced. That was our first and last visit there.

The restaurant fills a sensitive gap in the Riedberg, and the friendly kitchen and service team is now better coordinated than at the beginning. I would describe the atmosphere as cozy and family-friendly. The pizzas are baked well, but the vegetable pizza was a bit blandly seasoned.

Good place to visit and to eat, especially in the summer with kids. You can sit outside and your children can play on the playground nearby. The food was okay, and the service and atmosphere good as well.

Family friendly, wonderful service, simple food choices

Es war sehr gut besucht, dennoch war für uns spontan ein Tisch frei. Wir wurden sofort höflich bedient und bekamen zügig alles auf dem Tisch. Es schmeckte einwandfrei und war preislich auch nicht zu teuer.

War sehr lecker und wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt. Service war super... sehr empfehlenswert.

Der Rumpsteaksalat war sehr lecker mit Hausgemachten Brot, aber der Besitzer war ungeduldig, weil wir nichts weiteres bestellt haben, nur uns unterhalten haben.

Ωραίο μαγαζί, φωτεινό και ευρύχωρο. Μου άρεσε ο ξυλοφουρνος και δοκίμασα πίτσα τέλεια ψημένη. Επίσης οι ταλιατελες με τις γαρίδες ήταν πολύ νόστιμες. Έχει και ψηλά καρεκλακια για τα μικρά παιδιά καθώς και παιδικό μενού.

Wir haben 2 Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet und die Tomatensoße auf der Pizza war zu süß. Die Pasta war eigentlich gut, aber reicht jedoch nicht um erneut zu kommen.

Sehr schönes Café/Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist sehr modern und schön. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell. Der Kuchen war sehr lecker. Man sitzt schön innen und außen. Die Preise sind sehr angemessen. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen

Unfortunately, the 2 plates that we ordered were not what we expected. 1st plate was grilled chicken skewers which were not like we ordered last time. The flavor was completely different and some pieces were even undercooked. 2nd plate was noodles with meat and mushroom. We tasted 1 bite and left the plate. We even told the waitress that and they just asked if they can pack it to go. The dish did not taste good at all. Usually, i would have expected a chance to change the dish or removed from the bill. Customer service was not as expected for this restaurant

Essen war gut, die Bedienungen sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wir hatten Bruschetta und Octopussalat als Vorspeise und Pizza Napoli und Salami Picante sowie Penne Quattro Formaggi als Hauptspeise. Alles war sehr lecker und reichlich.

Gute Getränke Auswahl, Pizza vom Holzofen, schöne Location, man kann draußen sitzen, kinderfreundlich am Spielplatz gelegen, neue Bedienung. Spät aber dennoch entdeckt 🤗

Ich wohne um die Ecke und bin immer sehr gerne hier. Sehr leckere Kuchen und Pizza.

Wir waren am Freitag zum ersten Mal im Westside. Wetter war so lala, wir waren schon gegen 17.15 Uhr und es ging damit sehr flott. Die beiden Pizzen und die Kinder Bolognese wurden schnell serviert, das Servicepersonal schnell "greifbar" zum Nachbestellen von Getränken. Essen war gut, einen Stern muss ich für den halbvollen Aschenbecher abziehen, der direkt am Tischbein unseres Außentisches stand. Das muss nicht sein und trübt den guten Eindruck. Wir kommen sicher nochmal wieder.

Wir waren zu viert da. Service war ok, aber auch nicht überragend. Wir hatten dreimal Pizza. Pizza Funghi ok, Pizza Tonno nicht gut und Pizza Napoli mit Pepperoniwurst war auch nicht gut - es gibt bessere Pizza auf dem Riedberg. Vorspeisen waren gut, aber insgesamt war das Essen sehr salzig. Weitere Schwäche: Es gibt nur Flaschenbier.

Tolle Lage direkt am Park, das Essen war eher durchschnittlich. Um abends einfach gemütlich draußen zu sitzen und eine Kleinigkeit zu essen oder zu trinken aber eine schöne Adresse.

Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend mit einer größeren Gruppe hier und der Service war spitze. Essen und Getränke kamen schnell. Die Portionen waren groß und schmackhaft. Auch ist das Restaurant sehr schön und modern eingerichtet.

Ambiente Top, Lage,Lage,Lage... sag ich dazu. Essen gut... waren mit 4Personen dort. Pizza + Pasta gegessen. Pizza=> prei Leistung passt. Gut belegt, boden etwas weich, für eine Holzofen Pizza. Pasta (Salmone) reichlich Lachs drin ansonsten al dente. Ein wenig gewürzt. Aber das Geschmackssache. Service, geht ein wenig aufmerksamer. Getränke erst auf anforderung nachgefüllt. Vorspeisen Teller, abgeräumt, als der Hauptgang gekommen ist. Restaurant war gut besucht, denoch 4-5 mal jemand vorbei gegangen, ohne zu fragen, oder das Geschirr mitzunehmen. Aber sonst, gerne wieder.

Ein "Geheimtipp" und eine empfehlenswerte Adresse! Sehr gemütlich und sehr lecker...
