Roulades eaten by 2 people. You couldn't taste the bacon at all. They both see it that way. Otherwise very well maintained and comfortable, probably chose the wrong one.

We had dinner on April 4th, 2025 in the evening. The atmosphere and staff clothing were not authentic. Menu is nothing special. Quality of the food leaves something to be desired. Based on the reviews on Google, we expected much more. Service was inattentive.

The Klosterhof restaurant is located between the Main and the Bahnhofsviertel. As soon as you entered, you were particularly impressed by the well-chosen furnishings with lots of interesting pictures and the wooden look. The menu is lovingly and interestingly designed - there is a lot to read. The service was absolutely convincing. We chose lumberjack steak and hash browns with mushroom vegetables. The steak was particularly impressive in terms of taste. The Rösti wasn't really my taste, but that's completely individual. A visit is definitely recommended - very successful location and great cuisine.

Ate there last night. Both dishes were very tasty. The service was very quick, attentive and very friendly. The restaurant was also very well attended. Luckily we got a seat outside. We'll be happy to do it again next time we stop in Frankfurt.

Walked in , got sat and ordered quickly because the kitchen was closing but I knew what I wanted . The Vienna style schnitzel was absolutely amazing . I wanted more . Will go back again for sure !!

Unfortunately, the previous reviews were confirmed during my visit. Waited 30 minutes for the drink and the food was anything but "Bavarian"/hearty cuisine and seemed rather warmed up. Too bad or bad luck.

The selection of drinks is also great - the atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time, the service is attentive and friendly. We recently had lunch in the monastery courtyard. We knew the Klosterhof before in its old location. The ambience is nice, but nothing compared to the old restaurant. The waitress was friendly but she could only speak in single words. Complete sentences were rather difficult. The menu remained unchanged and the food also tasted good.

It's kind, but the haxen is too tough and salty.

Picked this place because it’s a block from our hotel and I wanted schnitzel and the hunter’s schnitzel with mushrooms and spatzel is the best schnitzel i’ve ever had. full of flavour, creamy sauce, not dry at all and meat was tender. Place was roomy and had good lighting which i also appreciated. Staff were also friendly which unfortunately cannot be said for all places here when travelling as an asian person which I was thankful for. Would return again if I’m back!

Modern, cozy atmosphere. Not as rustic as the local bar, but very harmonious in its own way. The food is also very tasty, you can find something for yourself! Staff very friendly and accommodating, thank you! That's exactly how it has to be! It's already my favorite restaurant in Frankfurt.

I was spending a day in Frankfurt on my back from somewhere else and I wanted specifically a nice, easy schnitzel and chips. I chose this place and I couldn't be happier. Lovely food, the mushroom sauce was great and it was very reasonable prices for the location and the amount of food that you get. A meal for one included the schnitzel and chips, 1L of larger and an additional 0.5L of lager. About €35, not bad at all, I will definitely come back if I'm in the area. Modern decor, very contemporary for anywhere else in the world. Not traditional, don't come here if you're looking for something like that.

Nice place to get a traditional German meal without extremely high prices. I think the best part of this particular restaurant is the service. I was seated immediately and treated with the upmost hospitality and attention. The staff were extremely cordial and very gracious to a non-German speaker.

A great restaurant with a great concept, super creative menu, decent prices and portions. No wishes are left unfulfilled here and all the dishes are very tasty. When it comes to service alone, you can ask more often at the table whether you would like more drinks, which could increase sales a little. Definitely worth a visit!

Rather small restaurant with not too many seats well distributed in a limited space ensuring sufficient privacy. Excellent beer and meat The Rösti-based dishes are also plentiful and tasty. The Tomato soup is so delicious that I would remove the little mozzarella (the "dried" used for pizza). The price? We are in Frankfurt so in line with many other places, basically acceptable.

Great food and beer! We had a wonderful meal at this modern upscale pub/restaurant near the Hauptbahnhof. We really enjoyed the schweinshaxe mit kartoffelklöße/kartoffelknödel (ham hock with potato dumplings) and holzfällersteak mit zwiebeln und bratkartoffeln (woodcutter's steak with onion and fried potatoes). The meals were tasty, the portions were generous and our waiter friendly and attentive! We really enjoyed the beer too!!

The Christmas party was held there for the second time, new ambience, nice service, delicious food. Had the rump steak Klosterhof with dessert apple strudel and drinks. Delicious. Last time I had a salad with turkey and dessert vanilla ice cream with red berries and beer. Always my pleasure. Unfortunately, not enough pictures were taken of the food... My colleague had vegetarian dishes (soup, green sauce and dessert) and was also thrilled

First class! Regardless of the great location, four of us went for a goose meal. The goose was excellent. You could pull the bone away from the meat and it was simply excellently prepared. For dessert there was a large portion of Kaiserschmarrn, which rounded off the whole evening. We had a wonderful evening in the monastery courtyard. Any time!

I went to this place because of the good reviews and I called ahead several times to make a reservation but they didn't pick up. Even so, I went at a time when, according to Google reviews, there is almost no wait. The waitress at the entrance told us it was impossible. We offered him to wait for a drink at the bar and he told us in a rather blunt manner that we would have to wait at least 1.5-2 hours, and there was no one else waiting... At the bar they gave us the cards without speaking to us... . I don't know what the food will be like, but the service was conspicuous by its absence.

Klosterhof now has a more modern vibe, though I wish I’d experienced the old Klosterhof charm. The menu features traditional German dishes, which were just good overall. The potato dumplings, however, were a bit squishy. An okay spot, but it didn’t quite stand out.

Even in the new location, the Klosterhof delivers as usual. Good, hearty German cuisine that is also suitable for vegetarians. Good beer, even better Äppler. All of this in a new, modern yet rustic look near the Main. I enjoy coming here both privately and for business. Ideal for introducing visitors and friends to Frankfurt's culinary culture. Kudos also to the two young managing directors, who always put a smile on your face with their warm, Hessian manner.

We went to dinner because of the positive reviews and they treated us really poorly, as if they were angry that we were Spanish. We left. I don't recommend it at all. Very very rude and unfriendly

We went to see the markets and we stumbled upon this place, the best, the attention, the guy who served us was super friendly, always smiling and even tried to speak in Spanish as a detail, the food was great.

Terrible experience!!!!! We went on the first evening in the hope of being able to sit down given that we were with an 8 month old baby!!! And the first evening we couldn't get seated. Ok fine, you can understand, they promised us that if we went by 7pm the following evening we would be seated, do you think we succeeded? ABSOLUTELY NOT !!! WE WENT TO THEM AT EXACTLY 7.00 PM WITH THE CRAZY COLD WE WERE WITH THE BINBA IN THE STROLLER AND NOTHING THE WAITER WHO PROMISED US THE PLACE SAW US HE WAS DISAPPOINTED AND SENT ANOTHER TO SAY NO!!! Had to wait for a table as we hadn’t booked, but sat at the bar and had a local beer and wine. Table available after 10 minutes, so no problem there. Staff very attentive, menu in English for those who don’t spranken Deutch, soup to start, hot and very filling, but had already ordered mains ! Great food, reasonable prices, good beer and wine, excellent staff ! An interesting walk from the Holiday Inn ! You can bypass it all by putting an extra 5 mins on a 20 minute walk. Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

We've been there several times now after sports. It's actually quite coolly decorated, especially the large turntable, but the service has deteriorated from visit to visit. Typical Frankfurt cuisine, rustic and hearty, but very tasty. Not as comfortably furnished as the main building, but also quite okay. Big praise to the staff, they are always very attentive and accommodating. I always go there at lunchtime, it's not as crowded as other places and it's less noisy. So ideal for relaxing.

The woman who looks like she's the boss was super rude. It's the third time here and always the same. She rolls her eyes when we ask something. We asked to pay with cash but after we tried to pay with card she made a scene out of it. We spoke to other guests and they were shocked as well. Older lady next to us took more time to check what she wanted to order and waitress said in super rude tone that they don't have all day for one person. Thanks to this "boss" with long nails, our whole team decided not to come here ever again.

Newly furnished, this "Klosterhof" serves as an alternative restaurant for the long-established Klosterhof in the city center (closed due to renovation) - the food is excellent here and there, the service is very good. The atmosphere here is new, having only been open for a few months.

I had a great lunch here during my visit to Frankfurt. This restaurant is only 6 minutes walk from the Central Train Station. The Schnitzel with creamy mushrooms & spätzle is a traditional German dish, which was wonderful and large in size. The waitress was very friendly and she had twice checked with me and asked how was my food. Great lunch experience.

Lunch in the monastery courtyard, away from the hustle and bustle of the station district. Very nice, “good middle-class” restaurant with attention to detail in the furnishings. Great dishes, not just schnitzel, Leverkusen, fried potatoes, sausage salad or steak. In October also with typical Oktoberfest dishes. Drinks that complement the usual ones with delicious juices (e.g. elderberry, raspberry and blood orange) are well complemented. Taste wise: Very good, the steak was great, I would happily give it 6 points if that were available. The service was very nice and helpful, it just took a while to order, but no drama Outdoor area available, located on the (not too busy) road. Parking is only available with a lot of luck Conclusion: In addition to all the hustle and bustle and international cuisine in the Bahnhofsviertel, a great change, highly recommended. Prices are in the upper range but €50.- for 2 people with drinks is okay given the taste. Gladly again

Googled the best beef goulash in Frankfurt....Klosterhof appeared...went with three friends, nice place, friendly staff.....the goulash was excellent, big portion with large beef chunks....other dishes not quite as good...but worth the treck for the goulash and staff.
