The three of us ate there. Reading the menu whetted our appetite and we were even more surprised that only a few people were there at the best time of the evening. The food came very quickly, as did the visual and taste disappointment! The schnitzels were not seasoned and were fried dry in the deep fryer, so the fried egg from a mold was baked rather than fried and the side salad, if you can call it that, dried out. The fries were ok. After we forced ourselves half of the food because we were hungry We were asked disinterestedly whether it tasted good, but we said no. Cappuccinos were served as compensation. My mistake was that I paid the invoice amount in full, I assumed that the owner would respond to my complaint via email, I thought wrong. Unfortunately, when I look at the review afterwards, this wasn't an isolated incident and seems to be company policy!

I simply taste my food better when the people in the restaurant are friendly and you feel comfortable. The employees in Westend are super super super friendly! They give me the impression that they really enjoy doing their work and that is simply valuable. Glad you exist! You're doing your job great :)

Breakfast review: Super cozy location, nice and attentive staff. Breakfast buffet very rich, varied and really tasty. Even a few warm dishes were offered. Everything was quickly refilled as needed. You can add juices, water and coffee flat as you wish or not. We did it and were really happy with EVERYTHING. Good price for the extensive range. Really recommended.

It was my first time eating in Westend and I'm happy with it. The service staff was very friendly and regularly on site. The food was good so far (salad) - although the chicken steak with the chilli sauce was a bit disappointing. The sauce seemed like a cheap sauce from a jar that had just been warmed up. The selection on the menu was very diverse and I think that pretty much everyone can find a tasty dish.

There is a relatively wide selection on the menu. Even vegetarians can find some dishes. The food tastes ok so far, but it's all "quick cuisine" so from a culinary point of view you shouldn't expect too much. Unfortunately, the food is not at all in relation to the estimated prices. It's definitely too expensive for what you get.

The food is good and inexpensive, but the drink prices don't make you want to come back.

I had made a reservation for the breakfast buffet at 10:30 a.m. I can't recommend it, some of it was empty and wasn't refilled. Even though it goes until 12 p.m. Additionally, the male waiter was extremely rude to a man. He just wanted to go to the toilet, but he wasn't allowed. The waiter asked him to say please several times. But the man was obviously not completely mentally fit. What's the point of such a power game? A woman came in afterwards. She just wanted to go to the toilet. She was allowed, even though she didn't say please. Difficult. Oh yes and nothing was labeled at the buffet.

We were there today on Sunday and ordered the following food and drinks. - Chicken strips 2x - Banana wheat - Passion fruit spritzer Unfortunately, you have to realize that when it comes to events in the city, the price-performance ratio in the Westend simply isn't right. It was once again mass production and charging €10 for 6 finger-thick chicken strips with a slice of tomato, loveless lettuce leaves and two pieces of baguette just doesn't fit. There's nothing wrong with the taste, but of course the eye eats too. On days when there is less going on, you can get twice the portion for the same price in the Westend. Therefore, only go to Westend if there is no event in the city. The drinks and service were good as always!

We always enjoy coming back for a relaxed breakfast.

My family and I went there for breakfast on the occasion of my birthday. Unfortunately we were totally disappointed. We had chosen the flat rate including drinks...unfortunately it only included coffee (which you had to get yourself from the buffet) and tea; you would have had to pay extra for all other drinks such as cocoa or cappuccino. The breakfast buffet was set up in a narrow hallway right by the front door, so you had to squeeze past people to get to the beginning of the buffet. There you were greeted with baked rolls. The selection of sausage and cheese is also not justified for the price. There was little or no offer of vegetarian/vegan products (oat milk or lactose-free milk were not offered). On top of that, some packages of cream cheese and Nutella had already expired for a few days. When we pointed this out, there was no apology whatsoever. The atmosphere there was very loud and crowded. A very expensive and disappointing experience!

A major catastrophe. A mall ordered and the waiter didn't come back and didn't ask if we would like anything else.... His face with his bad mood said a lot. I won't come back here.

We enjoy spending our child-free times here. No matter whether for breakfast or in the evening. We particularly like the operation and service here. Our favorite service person here is Vladimir. He simply reads our every wish and is always there when you need him. It's a little more expensive here than in other restaurants, but the quality and service are good here. We were here for the last time many years ago and today because of the Stunikenmarkt we thought we would take a look again. Unfortunately, a lot of things have turned negative here. Our waitress seemed disinterested and listless, which was also reflected when we received the food. One of three different chicken schnitzels was served as a pork version. All schnitzels suffered the same fate, three quarters of the schnitzels consisted of breading, and you had to look for the meat in between. I'm still waiting for the ketchup I ordered for my schnitzel, but it's over anyway because of the few fries. Unfortunately, for over €20 you get a very poor price/performance ratio. The Penne Napoli, on the other hand, was swimming in tomato sauce. Unfortunately, paying around €80 for two people with a total of 4 large drinks and two schnitzel dishes only reinforced the bad aftertaste. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the Westend.

I liked this restaurant very much. But I'm disappointed with the new menu. The pork steak offered (it's new to me that there is pork steak) turned out to be a simple piece of roast pork, fried bone dry. It had nothing remotely to do with a steak in the original sense. I hope the restaurant returns to the previous menu.

The location with a view of the market is great, and the location is very urban and attractively furnished. You can immediately tell that a lot of time and passion has been invested here! We were invited to breakfast and had read the reviews beforehand. We only noticed the advertised service from the two girls from the kitchen and the service. Unfortunately, they weren't responsible for us and we either had to wait a long time or had to go to the counter ourselves. The breakfast itself was ok. The antipasti and the cream cheese platter were great, and the selection of savory and sweet spreads was extensive. The warm dishes such as Nuremberger, bacon and scrambled eggs were ok but not exceptional. The bruscetta was really good, as were the baguettes topped with salmon, but they could have used a slice more of salmon. I was disappointed when it came to the cold cuts; the three trays had something like a holiday in a youth hostel about them. The selection of drinks was good and the glass of Hammenser Ahoy at the end was really tasty! The only criticism here was the warm lime water. Even though we were invited, the prices are completely reasonable and I can't understand other people's criticism of this, especially in this day and age. Complain to politicians and not to the restaurateurs! We will come back when we get the chance and then test the menu.

I was here because of the good reviews. You can sit comfortably outside and the service is friendly and fast. The röstis with salmon I chose were quite ok. The side salad, however, was rather sparse. Unfortunately, the bit of horseradish sauce was almost tasteless. Points were deducted for the prices called. But I would like to try the highly praised burgers next time.

The last time I ate in Westend, I knew immediately that I had to write a review. The ambience is very nice and cozy, both inside and outside. Personally, I don't think the food was particularly outstanding, especially since the prices have obviously increased. What I liked most, however, was the service, especially the young man who was around 1.90 tall and wore a lot of silver jewelry who served me. He was always polite and very friendly towards me and you can tell how much he enjoys working with customers. I have rarely had such nice service and I immediately enjoyed eating there more. I'll come here more often from now on, as long as my wallet allows me ;)

Invited all my guests to a birthday brunch. Extremely serious, super professional and the food, drinks and ambience are an absolute power. If you would like to plan and hold your celebration without stress -> Westend! I can't imagine it being simpler.

Fish and Chips Deluxe with cucumber salad - simply delicious! Spicy tartar sauce, crispy chips. A bit lacking in cucumber salad for my taste but a delicious homemade sauce. The waiter was very!! courteous, quick and extremely friendly and equally polite with a smile on his face. We felt very welcome and our dog was given something to drink first thing. Keep it up. I'd love to go there again.

We were there again for the breakfast buffet and it was very good. Service, offer, friendliness, everything was good as always.

My wife and I wanted to have something to drink...but our money probably wasn't good enough for the Westend. Statement from the waitress when I wanted to place an order "Oh I can't do that, my colleague will do it" about 5 minutes later there are 3 waitresses standing in front of me and none of them are able to take an order... absolutely incompetent and disinterested!! HOW DO YOU SURVIVE?? Poor gastro in Hamm...😂

Leckeres Essen und ein freundlicher Kellner mit Witz und Charme. Schön wären noch zwei Punkte gewesen. Einerseits eine Karte auf Englisch, zumindest ein QR-Code für eine englische Speisekarte wäre gut gewesen. Weiterhin für Kids etwas zum Malen wie Stifte und Papier. Ansonsten tolle Atmosphäre und gerne wieder.

Für 4 Personen 93 Euro bezahlt, Frühstück und Getränke.... Sehr teuer für Qualität die nichts mit Qualitätund zutun hat.. und Auswahl..... Da geht man lieber bei Türken, wirklich viel Auswahl und lecker... Es sollte geröstetes Brot sein und nicht frisches( ital. Gericht).... Bin voll enttäuscht 😞

A very bad service reserved a seat for us and it was given away because we were 2 minutes late. And we got the worst seats and were then attacked from the side and then left. That gives one star for the cheeky service.

I was overwhelmed. Super delicious beer (Ahoy), I didn't know the brand yet. Plus a plate for two people that was enough for three (where can you get that) and at least four large televisions that were showing the European Championship games. A visit that is worth it.

Today we went to Westend Essen with our trainee to pass the exam. When a cola unfortunately came with ice cubes instead of without as ordered, the waiter made a rude comment. Mistakes don't happen, but you can save yourself a comment like that. As a reward, the waiter skillfully ignored us for another 30 minutes until we decided to pay and leave. Actually, we would have stayed longer and would have liked to order something else. We also found that the small mayonnaise bowls that come with the dishes were far too small for the amount of fries. It's not a drama, but I think that as a restaurant you can get mayonnaise relatively cheaply and should perhaps save elsewhere (O tone from the waiter: of course there is mayonnaise, we are not cheapskates -> well, apparently)

There's a lot of choice on the menu, but the dishes are consistently no more than mediocre, the sauces are flawed, the food is rather bland rather than tasty, the prices are average but don't correspond to the quality. The staff is friendly, but can be asked several times even when the restaurant is only moderately busy and can only provide inadequate information about the size of the portions and questions about unclear terms in the menu. More of a place to have a cocktail and snack on fries, but less suitable for people who expect a full-fledged restaurant with decent services

We ordered two rump steaks + 2 cokes The steaks were so small that you couldn't get enough of them. The fun cost €35 pp, which is a disgrace. If you were at least full of it, then I would have no problem paying €70. You should boycott all the restaurants because of the price-performance ratio. Just because the tax was increased, the customer has to bleed for it. That was the last time I spent money there.

Everything is good so far, but pay attention to your service. Waiting 20 minutes to place an order is too long for me personally.

During my first and possibly only visit to the Westend, I was able to see that the Westend is able to serve a large group quickly and at the same time. Everyone was happy with the food, and I was also completely impressed by the bruschetta. Even the espresso was at a good temperature and was served with a glass of tap water.

Were there for breakfast today, Easter Monday 2024, the variety of the breakfast brunch was immense, unfortunately the rolls were old from the day before or older. The scrambled eggs could use a little more spices, the meatballs were very good but the small bratwursts were not OK. Service from the waiters OK, unfortunately we were put off twice when we wanted to order something else to drink that they would be there shortly, but unfortunately not. Then I would set up the buffet somewhere other than in the middle of the aisle where everyone has to go through, you get your elbows punched in the ribs and no consideration is given to the fact that you are standing there with a full plate. If you work on the points then OK.

Long queues, there is no cocoa in the breakfast menu, only coffee, tea, juice or water. Many customers were upset about some tables.. Seating was OK, but the buffet (breakfast) was stupidly set up. Maybe you can't do it directly in the aisle, which was very narrow anyway.

We were there for breakfast, there is a delicious buffet. Rolls, bread and croissants are available to choose from. Large selection of toppings. Scrambled eggs, optionally with bacon. Bruschetta, fried vegetables and mozzarella with tomatoes. Various types of muesli, yogurt and fruit. Juices and lemon water included. Can be booked either with a coffee and tea flat rate or without drinks, in which case you have to pay extra for a latte macchiato, for example.

The young man, around 170 tall, with long hair in a braid, should urgently look for another job. Neither social skills nor any hint of friendliness. During the entire service and when paying, my girlfriend and I both held out our cards and the waiter felt that he had to make unpleasant comments such as "This isn't a kindergarten. You decide" or "Then go where eat differently.” As a waiter you should think twice about going to work if you plan to treat guests like this. Sorry that you don't have any colleagues who want to pay for your meal.
