Weseler Wirtshaus in Wesel

The inn in Wesel offers a great atmosphere and a really nice location - we immediately felt at home. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Even though the restaurant was completely reserved, we were offered a seat because we only wanted to have a quick bite. That was a very nice gesture that we really appreciated. The service was particularly attentive when it immediately brought our son a children's book so that he could pass the waiting time until his meal in a playful way. The food came to the table surprisingly quickly and was very attractively prepared. About the taste: Overall, the food was very tasty. A small drawback was the crusty roast, which unfortunately didn't have a crispy crust, which is what we expected. The schnitzel could have been seasoned a little better, but that is of course a matter of taste. Despite these small points, overall we were very satisfied and would definitely come back. The price of the food was also absolutely reasonable and fair.

The service in the restaurant was good and food was on the table quickly, even though the restaurant was full outside and inside. The food was good, but I've had better roulades. The ambience is typically pleasant in a pub.

I recently visited a restaurant Weseler Wirtshaus in the city center that serves German cuisine and was very impressed. In particular, the dish I ordered – beef Roland with potatoes and beetroot salad – was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, the potatoes were nice and crispy, and the beetroot salad complemented the dish wonderfully. The combination of flavors was excellent and made the meal a real treat The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, ideal to enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and service was quick. I particularly liked the central location, which makes the restaurant easily accessible. The prices are fair and reasonable for the quality of the food. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy German cuisine in a pleasant environment. I'll definitely be back soon!

Today we spontaneously went to eat at the inn. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a table straight away even though it was full. Our order was taken straight away. We ordered mussels and all I can say is they were fantastic. I can't understand the negative reviews. Despite the stress, the staff all always had a smile on their faces and the service was quick. No glasses remained empty. I think that in this day and age you shouldn't be negative and just be happy that there are still super nice staff who are super friendly and always have a smile on their face despite the stress. We'll definitely be back.

It's really a shame... the atmosphere is so nice, prices are relatively high, but if the quality was good that wouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, the food is more of a chip shop quality. The chili sauce for the beef skewer is definitely from a jar and the worst thing is the bread dumplings, ready-made product for soaking, greetings from Pfanni...really? In a restaurant? Fresh food is rarely cooked here. Once and never again

Placing High standards i can say that ribeye and argentinian steak was super, same for the salads and dessert. Very warm place and all the people working with a big smile. Concratulations to Chef for the menu and managment for the rest expirience. Proudly i can say that we finaly found the best place for eat in wesel. If been in Wesel dont miss it.

We went to the Weseler Wirtshaus this evening and it was fantastic. Even though we were very full, our drinks came quickly and the food was freshly prepared in a very reasonable time. And it really tasted phenomenal. Our waitress was really nice, there's no other way to express it. We can recommend it 100%. 👍🫶

A great restaurant with really good food in the middle of Wesel city center.

We had something to eat at the inn during the wine festival in Wesel. We were completely disappointed. We had to wait a long time until the first service came to us. The drinks we ordered only came after 15/20 minutes. We only received the food after 40/45 minutes. Firstly, a salad with salmon was ordered. Unfortunately the salmon was very dry. The cheese spaetzle was also ordered. However, these were a huge disappointment. The sauce was okay and the spaetzle was bought ready-made. But the highlight was the currywurst fries. We only got a bratwurst in tomato ketchup. There was no sauce or anything like that, just regular tomato ketchup. We understand if it's a stressful day with lots of customers. However, customers cannot do this unfortunately. And that's special with a simple currywurst fries. If we hadn't had a lovely evening with our friends, I would have returned the food. If the curry sauce is empty, then you give the customer the information and don't just use tomato ketchup. It didn't taste good! This was our first and also our last visit there.

Very disappointed with the preparation and the waiting time. It's a bit cheeky to throw in black burnt toast. Pointed out, came about 8! MINUTES later bread! THE plate was almost empty. Sorry nil. And of course it wasn't the same - ladies' toast. The paprikschnitzel clearly had its sauce from a Knorr bottle and the fillet with chanterelles was drowned in cucumber water. It's a shame for the actually good meat.

We were here for the second time today. Unfortunately, we had probably put aside the first visit, although in retrospect it was better than today's. I ordered "crustlets that were served with fried potatoes, onions, bacon strips and a fried egg". My wife spareribs with baked potatoes. (There was already an apt description of this - largely tasteless and dry) Our dishes came after 45 minutes. My fried potatoes lacked any roasted flavor or browning and were limp, lukewarm and cold in places. Likewise these two!! Bacon strips. The crusts were two breaded schnitzels (also tasteless but at least warm). Since we had waited a long time and were hungry, we accepted it all and ate it. As we were clearing away the waiter asked if it was tasty. But he didn't really want to know that. After two sentences he left without a word. 2 minutes later the boss probably came, he didn't introduce himself to us. An unpleasant person who is incapable of criticism and has no place in a service company. The fried potatoes and the bacon weren't cold, he said. He himself stood at the pan with the cook. Crustlets would also be nothing more than pieces of schnitzel. This is how it would be served here. In that case we would have gotten two pieces. Oh, there was also coleslaw with the dish. It's served cold. No, in the Weseler Wirtshaus that was the only really hot food on the plate. He found that normal too. Now we have learned the lesson and will no longer bother this gentleman with our visit. Conclusion: In a chip shop you could have eaten cheaper, faster and tasted better.

Beautiful location, but I couldn't drink the coffee: bitter, without any flavor. Too bad, you should go for a quality coffee brand. The best coffee is at Eiscafe Rimini.

Surprise. Out of curiosity I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel. I didn't have high expectations here, because you can still go wrong with this actually simple dish. Then the surprise. The schnitzel was very fine veal. Wonderfully prompt without dripping with oil. All in all, a really good performance from the kitchen. Gladly again.

I cannot recommend this inn. After more than an hour, when we asked, we were repeatedly told that the food was coming. Guests at the neighboring table who arrived at least 30 minutes after us received their orders before us. Even the waitress apologized for the poor, late delivery of the food. This should be reworked again. That was the first and last visit for the time being.

Had spontaneous lunch here on a weekday. Great ambience, modern and appealing. The menu offers a nice selection of tavern cuisine, but also appealing international cuisine. The service employee was extremely accommodating. We will definitely be coming back. We were very satisfied. When the sun was shining, the large terrace was also well attended.

We were in the inn for the first time and were very satisfied! The food was freshly prepared and tasted very good! We had two different schnitzels and a dessert each! The portions were generous and we didn't have to wait long. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was very appealing! We can recommend the inn 100 percent!

We went there for lunch, full of anticipation. You can sit very well in a really nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food doesn't come close to this level at all. A crustless roast, dry squid rings, 10 pieces, without bread or side dishes, at a price for which you can get a full menu elsewhere. Despite criticism, the bartender can't even make a simple apple spritzer.

Had dinner there today. The food looked very good, but unfortunately the asparagus was a complete disaster!!! When people complained about it, they didn't even get an answer. The staff was completely overwhelmed. It's a shame actually.

Hello ! First of all, thank you very much for this lovely evening 👍 We went out to eat there for the first time today with 6 of our neighbor women and it certainly won't be the last time. Only recommended! Location cozy and very inviting. Service super friendly and fast. And the food is really very tasty 😋 I/we can only recommend the Weseler Wirtshaus.

After hearing everything from bad to good over and over again, we wanted to test it ourselves so we could form our own opinion. We were there on Saturday evening. We reserved a table for 4 people 2 hours in advance. The ambience is very nice, the service is friendly and quick. The drinks came quickly. However, we had to pay over 50 for the food! Wait minutes. Definitely too long for a restaurant that isn't fully booked. Unfortunately, of the 4 meals we ordered, only 2 were okay, but there were no highlights either. Well - we have made up our own minds and will not visit the inn again and unfortunately cannot recommend it to anyone else. There are better top locations in Wesel. Of course we can't say anything about the rooms!

It's nice to sit outside and have a few good beers to choose from. The food is good home cooking. Quite ok, last time I ordered fries instead of fried potatoes. Unfortunately the dish came with fried potatoes, but the fries were brought immediately. So fries and fried potatoes.

Once and never again. Ordered a table for Mother's Day for early lunch. We were greeted nicely, drinks were taken quickly, so far good. When we ordered the drinks, we wanted to place the food order straight away, but we were told that our colleague was doing it. Unfortunately it didn't come, so after 30 minutes we spoke to an employee who was passing by and gave us the same information. After 1 1/4 hours after arriving we were finally able to order and then waited another incredible 60 minutes for our food, which unfortunately didn't convince us in terms of quality and portion sizes. I've never experienced anything like that and don't need to repeat it.

Ordering and eating took an awfully long time. Staff points to a colleague for everything: to take an order, to pay. Food tasteless and with way too much salt!

Service was not overwhelming, food was edible but not overwhelming. Salad was also missing, unfortunately no one came from the service. But no one was interested in clearing away. There will be no repeat.

Well-run, modern restaurant including an outdoor terrace. Friendly staff, great menu and the price-performance ratio is also right. Really recommended. The location can be easily reached by anything, even on foot, not too far from the train station.

The ambience is nice, with the modern? Uneven table tops make it difficult to have a relaxed meal because the plates wobble. Staff was friendly and drinks came quickly. The food was okay and tasted good, not a culinary highlight but you don't expect that in a pub. Only the small salad before/with the meal was not edible. It swam in vinegar and brought tears to your eyes. When I criticized this nicely when paying (if you don't want to hear it, you shouldn't ask if everything was OK!!!), the waitress "nicely" made it clear to me that there was something wrong with my taste! Critical ability looks different! Too bad!!! Waiting time was ok at around 30 minutes. There were many tables occupied. And when you drink and dine with 5 people for almost 200 euros, I find the calculation for mayonnaise of 0.80 cents per dish a bit inappropriate and inappropriate. This should be taken into account beforehand. We would still like to come back. Maybe you will take criticism to heart after all.

The layout of the restaurant is nice, as is the staff. However, the waiting time of 50 minutes isn't that great when the house isn't full! In terms of taste, the food was ok. But the schnitzel was as thin as paper, with equal amounts of breading and meat. The hunter's sauce was a cream sauce in which the mushrooms were found. The schnitzel was a little better with the blackheads at the table. Wouldn't recommend it. Was very disappointed.

Ate yesterday, it took more than an hour for the ordered food to arrive on the table. Not informed about the long waiting time. Food was mediocre, bratkartoffeln lukewarm. Fries reheated. Please excuse the waiting time at checkout.

The offering is appealing, the taste is good, the quality is as expected. The ambience is just as down-to-earth as the cuisine... not exaggerated, but absolutely in keeping with the name of the restaurant. The same applies to staff and service: friendly, appealing, uncomplicated and not forced. Everything fits... bottom line worth recommending.

We were there for dinner on a Saturday evening. Luckily we had booked a table beforehand, which also proved useful. The service was very attentive and friendly. The drinks were served promptly at the table. After a short time, our ordered dishes were brought to the table. Since we all ordered something different, I can only say that every dish looked very good. We quickly agreed that it was once again very tasty and we will come back.

Sehr schöne lokal. Fleißige Mitarbeiter. Von manche Plätze kann mann in der Küche schauen.sehr leckeres Essen, zb Wiener Schnitzel.

Die Service-Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Das Essen war lecker. Das Restaurant war sehr gemütlich und gepflegt. 1-2 vegetarische Gerichte mehr (außer Salat) wären wünschenswert.

Hab mich dort gemütlich mit ein paar Leuten getroffen. Ein sehr schöner gemütlicher gastraum. Der Service war sehr freundlich und schnell. Gegessen haben wir dieses Mal noch nicht hier. Aber das was auf den Tellern den anderen Gästen serviert wurde sah sehr lecker aus.

Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten (Fehler bei der Reservierung, Tische wurden permanent umgebastelt) und einer Wartezeit von über 1h nach Bestellung, kam das Essen. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Portionen sättigend. Der Kellner hat sich entschuldigt und es gab einen Sekt auf‘s Haus.

Schoon appartement. Maar de kleine kamer is niet comfortabel. Pluspunten · Goede locatie midden in het centrum De kamer was zeer schoon. Het restaurant onder het appartement was lekker. Minpunten · Krukken bij keukenbar waren te hoog. Benen konden niet onder de tafel. Ergonomisch waren tafel en krukken niet op elkaar afgestemd. We hebben er geen gebruik van kunnen maken. Het bed was te hard voor ons. Door omstandigheden moesten we een dag eerder vertrekken (op zondag) de receptie (cafe) was dicht (10:50). Gelukkig was een zij-ingang open waardoor we de sleutel toch hebben kunnen afgeven. Bij de vraag waar ik kon parkeren werd nors geantwoord: Op straat!! - Maar daar kon je slechts 3 uur parkeren tegen betaling en de betaling begon 7:00 uur 'smorgensGelukkig waren we er het weekend en dan is het gratis.

Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen. Service sehr freundlich. Portionen waren bisher immer anders. Ich bestelle immer das Gleiche. Auch geschmacklich mal so, mal so... Tendenz: Gut und nett!

Auf der Suche nach einem Lokal gestern,sind wir durch Zufall dort hinein gegangen. Ambiente sehr schön und Speisen lecker.

Zufällig hier gelandet. Die Speisekarte ist relativ klein gehalten aber eine sehr gute Wahl an Speisen. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich lecker! Das Ambiente schön und der Service sehr nett und zuvorkommend! Wenn ich irgendwann mal wieder in der Gegend bin komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder! Danke für den wirklich netten Abend!

Das Abend essen war ein gelungener Abschluss! Sehr leckeres Gericht zu einem fairen Preis mit freundlichen Personal und wunderschöner Terrasse.

Man kann dort mit Hund leider nur draußen essen, aber das Essen war sehr gut. Können aber wegen Hundeverbot nur bei schönem Wetter dort essen.
